DragonForce are a six-piece power metal band based in London, UK. They are renowned for their fast and lengthy guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics and video-game influenced sound.
The band was founded in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, who had previously played together in New Zealand-based black metal band Demoniac. Vocalist ZP Heart later joined. Originally called “DragonHeart”, the band released an independent demo in 2000, swiftly making them one of the most popular independent power metal bands in the UK. DragonForce have undergone several line-up changes over the years; the band currently comprises of lead vocalist and frontman Marc Hudson (he replaced ZP Heart in 2010), founding guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, bassist Frederic Leclercq, keyboardist Vadim Pruzhanov and drummer Gee Anzalone.
In 2002, the power-metallers released their debut single “Valley of the Damned”, and officially changed their name to DragonForce, after finding out that another band were performing under the name DragonHeart. In the same year, the band signed to Noise Records and began recording their debut album, also titled “Valley of the Damned”. The lead single from the album is one of their most well-known songs and is still an integral part of the band’s performances today. Their sophomore album, “Sonic Firestorm” (2004) was even more successful than their debut, with lead single “Fury of the Storm” becoming another fan favorite. During this time, DragonForce toured with the likes of Iron Maiden and W.A.S.P and increasingly became headliners themselves.
The band hit the mainstream in 2006, after signing to RoadRunner Records and releasing their third album, “Inhuman Rampage”. Lead single and arguably their most famous song to date “Through the Fire and Flames” has featured in several video games, including “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock”, “Brutal Legend” and also as downloadable content for the “Rock Band” games. Due to their fast arpeggios and use of electronic sounds similar to those of chiptune (used in older video games), DragonForce have been labelled as “Nintendo-metal” by some magazines. The band admits the influence of video games on their music and often pays homage to it in their music videos.
DragonForce’s fourth album “Ultra Beatdown” was released in 2008, after having toured with Disturbed and Slipknot during Mayhem Festival. Lead single “Heroes of our Time” won the band their first Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, however they lost out to Metallica’s “My Apocalypse”. Their fifth album “The Power Within” was released in April 2012 with new vocalist Marc Hudson, after ZP Heart’s resignation due to “insurmountable differences in musical opinion”. The band embarked on a UK and Ireland tour and played at Soundwave Festival in Australia in February 2013.
The band’s sixth album “Maximum Overload” released in August 2014 features backing vocals by Trivium frontman Matt Heafy. The album also features a cover of Johnny Cash classic “Ring of Fire” – needs to be heard to be believed!
Live reviews
Upon arriving into the room, there was a heavy aroma of sweat and alcohol from drinks brought before the show and the first thing my eyes lay upon was the over priced merch which i still wanted to buy badly but couldn't afford. I went in planning the most reasonable area to stand which i thought was a good idea at first. When it came to the Line Up it was all go, i thought yes i got lucky and i'm close and comfortable, dun dun dur... a group of wild hooligans twice the size of me stood in-front of me blocking my view. See, theirs this one corner in the venue which i thought would be the most appropriate place to stand because the only people who would be going past will be the people going to the toilet as the toilet is literally round the corner and theirs the back door for the bar where the people attending the bar come out. I went in with a mind set thinking hmm, people will be courteous and not stand near the door behind me, and the only people in front of me are people with the same mind set, finding a spot or going to the toilet and therefore there will not be a lot of people in front of me because there needs to be room for people to go towards the loo and the bar. No. I was so wrong. I think i forgot i was at a concert and not a wedding reception. Both me and my Uncle got bombarded and pushed back to the very backs of the wall as it got crowded with giants. I remember thinking boy, i know what i want for Christmas.. to be tall. And that is okay, i went into the venue later than expected, i chose that spot and i have been to bigger venues with more people. For me that just standard concert going you know. I had to attend College and that's the only date near me that they were playing. Had it have been a day off i would've lined up all day long just to attempt to be near the front.
The Line up Power Quest played well, it really got me going to the point where i wanted to run home and buy all their albums over again. The band got my fist in the air and my head banging it was a real in the moment experience. I loved how the band worked the crowd and made us all feel like family, i only wish we had shown them more affection and been louder because they really deserved it. Each of the members were on there toes and smiling at everyone in the crowd like they were really appreciative. There were some minor difficulties with both the guitar and the microphone which were prominent which made me feel rather flighty because they were giving it there all and i really wanted to just jump up on the stage and fix it for them as soon as possible despite knowing its not my job and i don't want to get kicked out. I have a lot of regrets in my life one of those i have to add to the list now is not shouting at the top of my lungs 'You guys are the best, i love you all' or something like that when there were many moments of the crowed and band being silent for breath seconds between talking. I held the words down and talked myself out of it really quickly as i didn't want to draw attention to myself nor put off the band from what they were doing. If i ever see that band again, i will defiantly have to, and i mean have to jump on the opportunity without looking back.
Once the set was over and each member made there way off the stage, the lights lit up again and the room filled with both applause and commotion. It took a while for the bands to switch rigs and get everything sorted out which was yet again both bad and good as i got to swap conversations with my uncle who i dragged along but also we both physically now had our backs to the wall. The tall people left the area and over came even taller people and some ladies who were separate from the group but still managed to be within millimetres from me. The band got an applause which filled the venue as Dragon force entered the stage. Theirs moments in peoples lives you know which make there lives you know be that as it giving birth or getting married. For me, it was seeing the guitarist who inspired me to play guitar and listen to that type of music. That was 8 years ago, and man as they took to the stage was it magical. There is something about seeing a face on a screen but its so much more mind blowing to see them in front of your very eyes.
They played through there first few songs with perfection i tell you. They had the same sort of contact feeling with the crowed just like Power Quest has and it felt guilty cheering louder at Dragon force than i did for Power Quest but that was only because for a weird reason i was trying to loose my voice to try and get out of College the next day and because the crowd was louder i could shout louder without hearing my own voice which is so embarrassing. It was really special i tell you watching them live, and they played some really good songs along with it. Well boy have i got more things to ramble on about.. Get ready.. first of all, i looked like a right muffin when everyone was clapping with there hands above there heads and i was slapping the wall as i was so close to the wall that i couldn't relieve my other hand from the side of the wall. Secondly, there were way more technical difficulties than Power Quest which really made me want to slap a chair because they were really simple things that i could've fixed and i'm not even a Sound Technician. Now get ready for these two juicy riles.. Remember the two women i spoke about that joined along with the really tall men, the one of them was leaned up against the wall PLAYING CANDY CRUSH!!! i couldn't believe it i really couldn't. It's like one of those moments that is like, you've seen it all. I once went to see Slipknot live, and on one side of me there was a women who was bragging about how much sex she had and the other women brought her kids along with them and took up half my chair.
Herman was a real magician because i blinked and suddenly he's shirt changed colour. Not only that but when he was shredding hes whole guitar lit up like a Christmas tree which was epic and filled me with jealously as i was trying to keep up my head banging to the speed of the guitar but also darting my eyes left and right to the pattern of the arpeggio sweeping like a tennis match. It's safe to say, the venue was a sauna mid way into the night and i was trying my best to make sure my sweat was not getting on the floor or anyone else. P.s. i have never seen so many guitar swaps in my life. He traded he's guitar out so many times, it was like a new guitar each song. The band was really engaging and yet again i felt like family, as each band member smiled and gestured to individuals in the crowd. I have to admit, and i know this is so very selfish of me and i am really sorry, i wish that one of the members would've seen me in the crowed, but i like to imagine they did.
There was one part towards the end, where the band asked the bar for a few drinks which was funny when they made jokes about not getting the drinks and even funnier when someone offered to get them drinks in the crowed to only actually go and buy them each a drink in the end. It was a good evening, a really good evening and each of the bands gave it there all and that was truly special and i really appreciate that they came to this city. At the end the band threw there plectrums and there drum stick into the crowd which boy, i wish i could've caught but its one of those things which is like i don't entirely mind because there were lucky people in the crowed who did get them and that's a okay. It i did ever catch a plectrum or something like that from the band i would easily hand it over to someone next to me anyway.
I can't thank both bands enough, and if they ever come to Birmingham again i will defiantly be attending both there events. If i ever met them, i would love to give each of the band a giant cuddle to show appreciation and nothing less. Well, you asked for a review but i gave you an experience and i'm sorry that i couldn't give you anymore.. what a night to remember.

As with the last album, Dragonforce are treating fans to a series of intimate, small-scale shows around the time of release of Maximum Overload. I’d expect them to come back around in a few months playing larger venues, but in the meantime it’s nice to catch them somewhere where you can almost feel the heat from Herman’s wrist muscles as he pummels that guitar. They strode on stage – led by new drummer Gee Anzalone – and launched into opener “Defenders” from the recently released Maximum Overload. Indeed, half the set was tracks from the new album with the rest of their back-catalogue being represented by a single song from each album. As a result, if you hadn’t already heard Maximum Overload – and I confess I hadn’t – then it took the edge off things a little. The band seemed to take a little while to get going, as did the crowd, but this could partly be put down to the stifling heat which Marc Hudson did mention at one point during the set. There was little motion amongst the faithful (a couple of minor pits broke out maybe twice), but the fists in the air and roars of approval should have been enough to convince the lad on stage that they were very much welcome to continue with each song. From what was my first experience of four or five of the songs, the new stuff sounds a bit heavier than their older material and Marc’s vocals have something to do with that. I’m going to put the album on in the car later to see how my initial impression matches up with the recorded version, but if so then it’s good to see/hear that new blood is influencing the sound somewhat. That’s what keeps bands going and not just regurgitating the same material album after album. There’s no doubt that the older material was more well-received, but that’s almost always the case at a gig until everyone gets more familiar with it. Fury of the Storm, Cry Thunder and Through the Fire and Flames will never lose their appeal. I guess, with time, we’ll find out which of the newer songs get to take their long-term place alongside them. A typically energetic encore saw us through to the end of the gig where Marc invited fans to meet the band at the merch stall for a beer and the like – something that too many bands are charging a premium price for these days. Unfortunately, due to a baby-daughter-induced 3 hours of sleep the previous night, I had to head home. But don’t think that such a gesture isn’t appreciated.
Dragonforce, what can I say about them? I remember hearing their music years ago online through some random youtube videos and other forum boards. I thought their music was over the top, silly, but freaking awesome all the same! Seeing them live at the Loud Park 2012 just confirmed all of that, in fact even more so.
Marc Hudson, the lead singer, looks like he never left the 80's or 90's with the way he dresses and sings. Listening to Through the Fire and Flames in person makes the song sound even more intense and over the top than you could even imagine. The guitar work is so fast, I swear I saw smoke coming from the guitar. As silly as the lyrics are, it's hard not to try to sing along with the singer and crowd when everyone is getting pumped for them.
I'm really glad I saw them in person because it reminds me that I should expand my collection of them more. The best part was in the middle song when the lead singer got the crowd to join on the song and sang part of the chorus. Dragonforce pretty much exhausted all my energy during that performance but it was totally worth it.
Been a Dragonforce fan for 10 years. They never disappoint me! This concert in the new Tivoli venue in Utrecht was amazing as well. Singer Marc did have some trouble getting into it with the first song, but that's also largely because that was one of the old songs, originally created with the sound of the previous lead singer. After that everything warmed up and they were energetic as always. Dragonforce was support act to Epica, so not a crowd full of fans. But big rounds of applause all around. It's hard not to get excited about their addictive energetic sound! Afterwards part of the band was hanging out in the lounge to interact with fans. Thanks so much guys. You rock!!
Dragonforce was awesome as usual! Really enjoyed the smoke vents , paper cannons, giant arcade games and awesome dragon.
The first band McRocklin & Hutch, gave a chilled and atmosphere performance making a enjoyable warmup act. Wasn’t super keen on the second act Lovebites. I personally felt they were a bit gimmicky and lacked the heart and stage presence that I would have enjoyed seeing.
Dragonforce brought the “A” game and was worth every penny payed for the ticket.
The music was great and Dragonforce put on a great show as they always do. I just wish I could have seen it. The venue was rammed, but it was like only people over 6 foot 5 were allowed to enter. The final 20 yards of the venue was filled with a wall of really tall dudes, meaning anyone under 6"6 couldn't actually see the gig. Plus it was absolutely red hot in Fibbers too.
So it total:
Dragonforce good
Fibbers bad.
Fantastic band, great performances, good showmanship, Fredriq and Gee showing of like bosses. The warm up band Twillight force where great fun as well. The only problem was that during the first ten minutes the bass was blowing out the speakers drowning the rest of the band but it got fixed along the way. I hope Vadim will be there next time but I do respect his reasons for taking 2017 off. Overall a great Experiance
This was my first Dragonforce concert, but it was amazing. I enjoyed it more than the rest of my party though, but everyone had fun. The band is very charismatic, and made the show fun for everyone. They are a wonderfully humble group, and you can tell they truly value their fans. Once Human wasn't bad either. Although I'd never heard of them prior, the band got the crowd rowdy and riled up for Dragonforce.
Dragonforce was amazing!! I didn't think they could pull off what they do live, but they surely did & the sound production was perfect. I would definitely go again. They played their older songs as well as several tracks off newest album including their one cover of Johnny Cash's ring of fire.
An amazing concert. A good mix of new songs and old classics, epic solos and a great stage show. Being the last show on the tour the mid-show got a bit more interesting and wild. Could clearly see that the artists had fun on stage and so did the crowd. Dragonforce still got it!

DragonForce Announce 2022 North American Tour With Battle Beast + Seven Spires, Debut ’80s-Style ‘Strangers’ Video
DragonForce will be getting back out on the road next year on a North American tour leg that features special guests Battle Beast and Seven Spires. In celebration of their continued support for 2019's Extreme Power Metal album, the band has also dropped a delightfully '80s music video for "Strangers," for which they used Steve Vai 's Whitesnake and David Lee Roth era guitars as an added bonus.
The 38-date trek will begin and end in California as the groups criss-cross the United States and Canada, beginning on March 7. Battle Beast won't be there at very start, however, and will miss the first 10 dates before linking up with DragonForce and Seven Spires on March 20.
See the full list of stops at the bottom of the page and look for tickets to go on sale Oct. 29 at 10AM local time here .
Excited for the upcoming run, DragonForce stated, "We are so excited to be playing in the USA and Canada again. We've spent the last year and a half waiting to get back on the road to finish the 'Extreme Power Metal World Tour'. We've also got some new surprises. DragonForce always says more is more, so expect an even bigger, crazier show! We're also thrilled to be bringing some incredible bands with us. Battle Beast gives an amazing performance every time, and Seven Spires is one of the best young bands out there. We can't wait to see everyone in the crowd and at our VIP!"
About the video for "Strangers," guitarist Herman Li explained the band needed some "cool looking guitars" for their video shoot. "I texted Steve Vai and told him we were doing a glam rock video. He said, 'come on over', and when I got there, he had pulled out THE guitars he used with Whitesnake and David Lee Roth. I remember seeing these guitars in magazines as a kid, so it was incredible to get to use them on set - I almost cried when he handed them to me," described Li.
He continued, "Besides the guitars, I think we all looked really hunky in our costumes, especially our hair! For a minute, I was even considering getting a perm...I know people may think we're not taking ourselves seriously enough, but I think given the state of the world, sometimes it's just nice to kick back and have a laugh with your mates. That was definitely the vibe on set - we could barely keep a straight face watching the playback."
Limited merchandise aligning with the video's theme is also available at the band's webstore .

DETHKLOK is an illustrated/animated virtual powerhouse, occupying an elite space alongside GORILLAZ . Except DETHKLOK is bigger, better, more brutal, and totally legendary.
The world's most brutal band are the stars of the "Metalocalypse" TV series and films, co-created by Brendon Small . Revolver magazine calls the writer, director, and composer the "musical mastermind" behind DETHKLOK . A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Small has made four DETHKLOK albums and assorted releases with legendary metal drummer Gene Hoglan ( DARK ANGEL , DEATH , TESTAMENT , STRAPPING YOUNG LAD ).
"I love bands that celebrate guitar and bands that have a lot of fun onstage. I also love bands that don't, but for this tour, I think it makes sense to have a lot of dragons, goblins, and 'kloks together," says Small . "If you're going to do this, you gotta go big and over the top. This is going to be a very fun show for people."
Last year's "Babyklok" co-headlining trek was the first DETHKLOK tour in over a decade. "I had no idea how much fun the 'Babyklok' tour would be," remembers Small . "The BABYMETAL girls are delightful, like three princesses from outer space, great singers, and great dancers. Their band is bonkers good. I magically found my way into this parallel universe. The show itself is a great challenge as a vocalist, guitar player, and multitasker. The goal is always to put on the absolute best show that I can."
2023 saw a flurry of activity from the melodic death metal titans. "Army Of The Doomstar" was a sequel to "Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem" , released in 2013. 2023 also saw the release of the "Army of the Doomstar Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" . "Dethalbum IV" was the most celebrated album of the band's career, boasting unstoppable anthems like "Aortic Desecration" , "SOS" and "Gardener Of Vengeance" .
" 'Dethalbum IV' is a fantastic death metal album," wrote New Noise . "Despite DETHKLOK being an animated band, the music is very real, delivering that scratch to itch the need for good metal."
Rolling Stone named "Dethalbum IV" one of the 11 best metal albums of 2023. "The first DETHKLOK album in more than a decade is totally brutal — and totally worth the wait," they declared. " Small and Hoglan 's dexterous playing also make the music stand majestically on its own terms. You don't need to be in on the joke to jump into the pit and mosh along."
Adult Swim aired four seasons of "Metalocalypse" from 2006 to 2013. Premiere global and media entertainment company Warner Bros. Discovery distributes the "Metalocalypse" series and feature films.
"I knew taking on this project meant I'd have to wring everything out of the sponge to make it all work," Small says of the massive effort put behind the series, movies, albums, and soundtracks. "But this is how I have fun, putting it together, and having the luxury of writing, directing, producing, and making music for something and seeing it all the way through. And when you have great collaborators, everyone elevates each other. I have to deliver everything I can, so I'm proud of it, and they are proud to participate in it."
"This is a very fun time with the tour, the album, and the movie. I don't know if DETHKLOK will be touring forever," he adds. "So, it's important for people to know they should get it while it's hot."

The post DragonForce Announce Fall 2023 North American Tour appeared first on Consequence .
UK power metal vets DragonForce have announced a Fall 2023 North American tour and a new record deal with Napalm Records.
The outing kicks off October 20th in Mesa, Arizona, and runs through November 19th in Los Angeles. Support will be provided by Amaranthe, NanowaR of Steel, and Edge of Paradise.
A Live Nation pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time (use access code TRACK ) ahead of the general on-sale taking place on Friday, August 11th via Ticketmaster . Alternatively, and for sold-out dates, you can purchase tickets via StubHub — where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
“We’ve prepared a new setlist with some brand new songs that we’ll be releasing before the tour begins,” teased frontman Herman Li in a press release. “Alongside these, we’ll also be playing some older songs that haven’t been in our setlist for a long time, as well as some classic favorites that are a must. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic tour!”
Over the years, DragonForce have maintained a prolific rate of output, highlighted by their 2006 anthem “Through the Fire and Flames” — famously used as the “final boss” song in Guitar Hero III . Based on Li’s remarks, the band will be making immediate use of its new label home on Napalm Records.
“We are absolutely thrilled to join forces with Napalm Records, a true powerhouse in the metal music universe!” he added. “This marks the beginning of an epic new chapter for DragonForce, and we’re eager to see what our collaboration will bring to our fans around the world!”

DragonForce’s “North America 2023” Tour Lights Up the Masquerade Heaven in Atlanta, Georgia on October 30th, 2023
- November 2, 2023
- International Concert Reviews
- by Megan Rose Photographer/Writer
On October 30th, DragonForce’s “North America 2023” Tour arrived at the Masquerade Heaven in Atlanta, Georgia with support from Edge of Paradise , Nanowar of Steel , and Amaranthe . Each band brought a unique sound and energy to the stage, making for a fun and magnetic evening.
Opening the show was Edge of Paradise, a hard rock band from Los Angeles, California. Immediately, I was enthralled with the band’s stage presence and lyrical sound. Additionally, the wispy fog and moody lights added to an already atmospheric stage set, which was further accentuated by the band’s outfits–especially those of vocalist Margarita Monet and guitarist Dave Bates. Monet’s black and green dress would glow a neon color under the darker lights, while Bates’s vest had a section in the shoulders that sent green lights beaming across the stage and into the audience.
Combined with Monet’s impressive display of powerful vocals that reverberated through the venue, it made for a compelling set. Edge of Paradise also did an excellent job of showcasing their different styles of music in the songs they presented, which made me want to look into the rest of their discography as soon as I got into my car. Honestly, my only surprise was that the crowd didn’t seem as invested as I would have expected. There was a little bit of headbanging here and there, but that was mostly it. Even so, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them, and I hope to see them live again.

Next was Nanowar of Steel, an Italian comedy heavy metal band, whose main focus is parodying metal with satire. The moment their set started, the audience was sold. Only seconds in, they were laughing and bouncing along to the band who were dressed in zany costumes as they danced around. With each song, their vocalist, Carlo Alberto Fiaschi would come out dressed in an even more outlandish costume than the last. As an example, in one song he wore an alien head and held a gigantic telephone. In the next, he wore a full owl body suit that had the audience howling with laughter.
Their set was full of colors, not just from their different costumes, but also from the light show, which just added to the band’s presentation. The crowd was certainly invested in Nanowar of Steel’s set, as they jumped up and down, waved their hands from side to side when instructed, and were constantly laughing at the band’s antics. When they announced it would be their last song, the crowd booed, but Fiaschi thanked everyone for coming and said he hoped everyone had a good time, which going by the smiling faces in the crowd, they certainly did.

The next band to the stage was Amaranthe, a melodic metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. This is a band I’ve personally wanted to see for a while now, and they were just as incredible live as I hoped they’d be. Something impressive about Amaranthe is their ability to effortlessly mix three vocalists without drowning any of them out. Indeed, all three had powerful voices, and even with the three of them, the instruments could still be heard clearly.
For this set, the energy of both the band and the crowd was off the walls. The band made use of the whole stage, while the crowd jumped and headbanged, cheering when their favorite songs were played. It was fun to watch the band members interact with each other between sets as they joked amongst themselves and with the audience. Their chemistry was an easy one, which only made them even more captivating as a band. The first crowdsurfers of the night made their way to the front during a few of their songs, and when one came, several followed.
By the time half of their set was over, the crowd was moving as one, completely energized. In fact, when vocalist Elize Ryd asked the crowd to cheer as loud as they could to see how their noise volume compared to other cities on the tour, the crowd roared so loud that I’m sure people could hear them from blocks away. The crowd certainly proved themselves, and the entire band seemed impressed by the display.

Closing the show was DragonForce, a power metal band from London, England. They’re known for their songs inspired by video games, which was evident in their elaborate stage set up. On either side of the stage were giant arcade game replicas, while at the back of the stage, was a long screen that would play clips from each video game the current song was inspired by. As someone who enjoys music and video games, this delighted me greatly, especially when they played songs inspired by some of my favorite games.
DragonForce’s energy was infectious as the band rocked along to their songs, encouraging the crowd to do the same. The whole venue was filled with headbangers, moshers, and those who jumped up and down as they screamed the lyrics to their favorite songs as loud as they could. Something impressive about DragonForce was their ability to balance their performing with moments of downtime spent chatting with the crowd. They would make the audience laugh and smile and feel happy to be there, but the moment their songs started, they would be back in performance mode, aweing everyone with their riveting stage presence.
As the show progressed, the crowd became more and more energized, sending one crowd surfer after the other as the rest of them moshed and headbanged. DragonForce was clearly feeding off the crowd’s excitement, and at one point, vocalist Marc Hudson noted that this was the eighth show of the tour so far, but that Atlanta had the best audience they’d seen yet. A little later, guitarist Herman Li looked out at the audience and proclaimed that this was the part when “Normally I ask how you’re doing, but I’d have to be blind and deaf to not know!” The crowd responded with thunderous cheering.
For their encore, DragonForce stepped up their stage design by setting up two enormous blow-up dragons on either side of the stage. Then, to the surprise yet delight of the crowd, they played a cover of Taylor Swift’s, “Wildest Dreams,” followed by a rendition of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” The crowd went wild for both these songs, but especially for Dion’s cover, to which they opened the biggest circle pit of the night.
Overall, I was so impressed with the quality and stage performance of all of the bands that performed. The whole show was meticulously crafted, and it was executed efficiently by all the musicians. If you haven’t seen this tour, do yourself a favor and check it out.

I’ve always been the creative type, but nothing quite beats how it felt the first time I picked up a camera. Once I photographed my first concert, I knew I had found my passion. As an avid concert-goer, getting to combine my love of music with my love of photography is like a dream come true!

Hailing from the vibrant city of London, England, DragonForce reigns as a trailblazing force in the realm of extreme power metal. Acclaimed as the world’s fastest band, their Grammy-nominated journey has been nothing short of legendary. In every corner of the globe, DragonForce has earned an army of dedicated fans, thanks to their electrifying and entertaining live performances, infused with infectious energy and light-hearted humour.
Beyond their original and unforgettable epic compositions, DragonForce is celebrated for their signature long, complex, and lightning-fast guitar solos, masterfully crafted by the virtuosic duo of Herman Li and Sam Totman. The Billboard Top 20 hit “Ultra Beatdown” (2008) and the anthemic “The Power Within” (2012) kept the flame burning bright.
In 2014, they unleashed “Maximum Overload,” followed by “Reaching into Infinity” (2017) and the electrifying “Extreme Power Metal” (2019). Each album showcases the fusion of classic 80’s rock sing-along choruses, uplifting melodies, and fantastical power-metal-inspired lyrics, evoking a sense of triumphant grandeur in every note.
Fuelling their music with a love for the video game world, DragonForce artfully incorporates retro game sounds and melodies into both their studio recordings and thrilling live shows, further enhancing their unique identity.
