What’s your next dream destination let’s start planning your next trip..

Dear Traveler,

What makes our travel agency so great?  We believe it is our dedication and willingness to go the extra mile and deliver the best possible travel experience for our clients.  When booking your airfare, we always seek out itineraries that provide the perfect balance of price, value, and convenience. Our customers trust our well-traveled, highly experienced agents to cut through the noise of anonymous, sometimes biased online reviews and recommendations and deliver unforgettable vacation experiences.

For every one of us at EHT, traveling is more than a job – it’s a lifelong passion. Our personal knowledge of destinations from Europe and Australia, to Africa and Asia – comes from repeatedly visiting international destinations to ensure that our clients garner the benefit of our personal experiences.

We believe our openness and honesty with our clients, as well as personal relationships with destination properties, airline representatives and tour operators, provide invaluable insights and services that travelers cannot find on the Internet or with any other agency.

So onward we go!

Regards to all and our thanks,

The agents at EHT

Elizabeth Holmes Travel agents have been booking my trips for years. They have taken me through most of Europe and we are currently working on a trip to Japan. Depending on where you want to go, somebody in the office knows what you should do and how to maximize your time. They have been able to tailor each of my trips based off of what I want to do and how much I want to spend; utilizing useful travel best practices that I was usually unaware of. During the planning phase, the EHT team is very responsive and are incredibly capable whether I just need flights booked or need an entire itinerary for the trip.

I have used this company several times over the years, generally to find tour extensions or difficult flights. I have been satisfied on all counts. Their agents are always pleasant and often find flights/extensions that I could not (even after considerable internet searching.)

~ Ray Templin

I have never had anything but stellar service from EHT. I have always had good, prompt responses, from an agent who knows me and makes sure my particular preferences are always addressed.

I highly recommend Elizabeth Holmes Travel agency!! We worked with Yumiko and were very impressed with her knowledge, attention to detail, and her wonderful customer service!! She booked a wonderful vacation to Italy for us. We were so impressed with Yumiko that we have booked another vacation, this one to Australia and New Zealand. There were a lot of different schedules for different people in our party and she was able to accommodate all our needs. I will continue to use EHT for all my travel planning.

Incognito Global Travel (IGT) is the #1 choice for luxury travel planning in Seattle, its metropolitan area, and destinations a short drive, or private jet charter, outside Seattle. We are a boutique luxury travel agency providing travel planning and concierge services for busy executives, adventure seekers, luxury leisure seekers, or sophisticated world wanders. As a Pacific Northwest and Seattle focused luxury trip planner and concierge, our travel packages extend beyond Seattle and to include luxury experiences from romantic waterfronts, to skiing, boating, and adventure travel of all kinds across much of the Pacific Northwest and Vancouver. Below are just a few of our favorite recommendations for a luxury Seattle travel experience only Incognito Global Travel can provide.

‍ Why Choose Incognito’s Travel Planning Services :

You might ask yourself, “Why should I choose Incognito Global travel planning services, what makes IGT different from the other Seattle area travel agencies?”

‍ 1. Highly Personalized and Expert Service:

‍ At IGT we have highly experienced luxury travel agents specializing in hand-crafted and tailor-made travel adventures services designed to be specific to your needs, desires, and wishes. Combined with our globally connected network of suppliers and our highly personalized service, Incognito Global travel will unlock access to the world’s most spectacular sights—and undiscovered gems—with our exclusive global connections. We’ve forged industry relationships with the most luxurious (and authentic) properties and tour operators across the globe, so our clients get the very best treatment, wherever they go.

You’ll also get the very best authentic experiences. Forget “cookie cutter”— our in-destination guides and experts will take you far beyond the beaten path as you immerse yourself deeply in your destination. Simply put, Incognito Global Travel is your ticket to VIP travel.

‍ 2. Your On-the-Ground Travel Scouts :

It’s not just about our connections—it’s about our first-hand experience discovering the world’s most inspiring destinations. Having set foot in all seven continents and 70+ countries, our global knowledge runs deep. Let us steer you to the places and people who provide truly transformational travel experiences.

‍ 3. Sustainability:

Plus, when we scout out travel experiences to share with our clients, we always have an eye toward sustainability. From luxe eco lodges that champion conservation efforts to local co-ops that keep culture practices alive, we’ll pair you with travel partners who will ensure your vacation dollars are an investment in a community’s thriving future.

‍ 4. VIP Treatment & Amenities:

We’re proud members of the Virtuoso travel network, an exclusive consortia of leading global travel companies. Through Virtuoso, we get our clients special perks and amenities at sumptuous properties—enjoy pampering extras like complimentary spa credits, breakfast for two, room upgrades, and more.

And of course, you get the VIP treatment from your Incognito travel advisor as well. We’re here for you before, during, and after your travels to support and guide you for a truly exceptional escape—we’ll even reach out to your property to personally request VIP treatment on your behalf. Experience the difference a deeply personal planning approach and concierge service can make. ‍

Visit Seattle and the Pacific Northwest in Luxury:

‍ Seattle's easygoing and unhurried personality, combined with its distinctive and varied neighborhoods and creative weather patterns, provides a unique canvas for those looking for an off-the-beaten-path, cosmopolitan meets rugged outdoors, luxury adventure. Surrounded by water, with Puget Sound and Lake Washington, the “Emerald City” is prized for outdoor pursuits like whale watching, kayaking, hiking, and camping. Moreover, ski slopes are easily within reach at the nearby Olympic Mountains; and the behemoth Mount Rainier often provides postcard views from most everywhere in the city. On top of all this, I don’t know if you heard, but Seattle is home to some pretty good coffee. It boasts a healthy art, music, and theater scene, plenty of history, and culture. And while travelers like to bemoan the weather it is actually part of the charm of Seattle, and in actuality there is less precipitation here than other similar cities like Boston and New York. Cloudy skies should not stop you from getting out and exploring Seattle and the Pacific Northwest has to offer. In fact, I enjoy all Seattle and its surroundings have to offer enough to say that it’s one big city, like Denver and Boston where I could happily settle-down.

The ideal time to adventure to Seattle is from July to mid-October for sunny skies, outdoor activities, festivities, nature and outdoor events, and limited precipitation. Outside this window, April and May provide better sightseeing weather. You’ll likely find the city cold, drab, and soggy from late-October through February, but what a great opportunity for ski trips, museums, entertainment, and restaurants.

Ask anyone from the Pacific Northwest and they will tell you they love the area and the access to incredible outdoor activities. If you love nature, natural beauty, sustainability, and the outdoors the Pacific Northwest has an experience for you, and Incognito Global Travel planners can get you there in luxury. From sunset cruises, to a San Juan Island Kayak tour, to Camping and “Glamping” opportunities, Seattle offers natural adventures to tame your wanderlust!  Here are just a few recommendations to wet your pallet for Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.

  • Start your day at a cute Coffee Shop or Visit the Original Starbucks
  • Visit the Iconic Pike Place Public Market
  • Go on a Food and Wine Tasting Tour
  • Discover the Recognizable Space Needle
  • Play at Golden Gardens Park
  • Catch the Seahawks, Mariners, or the Newest NHL Franchise in 2022 the “Kraken”
  • Stand-Up Paddle Board, or Kayak, on Lake Union
  • Stroll Discover Park and Visit the Lighthouse
  • Catch a Cabaret Show at The Pink Door
  • Go Brewery Hopping
  • Ferry to Bainbridge Island
  • Spot Whales in the San Juan Islands
  • Take a day trip to Wine Country
  • Go Underground on a Subterranean Walking Tour

Incognito can craft an amazing all-inclusive Seattle and Pacific Northwest travel package tailor-made specifically for your desires. Choose IGT as your #1 Travel agency in Seattle for your next trip!

Avery was our tour guide and he was amazing!! Knowledgeable, funny, personable and kind to my ADA grandmother. We enjoyed seeing all the sights. Would highly recommend this tour, and would highly recommend requesting Avery as your guide if that's at all possible!!

What a way to see Mt Rainer! Lucinda was the perfect guide, very knowledgeable, willing to lend a helping hand, who truly enjoys what she does and I feel like she went above and beyond! We had perfect viewing conditions and our guide took us to all the perfect picturesque spots! Would highly recommend this tour!

I enjoyed this tour and the pace of it given my lengthy travel the day before to get to Seattle. The tour guide was knowledgeable, quirky and made everyone feel at home immediately. He was very warm, and took care of us throughout our stops, especially when I got lost. There was a lot to see of urban and suburban and the pace, stop-offs and breaks were all good and reasonable in length. There was alot of knowledge being passed, and he provided a backbone to the start up, progress and history of the city. That really helped me for the rest of my stay in Seattle and other tours I took. I’d recommend this tour. There isn’t a lot of walking but i left feeling I had a better feel for the city and it’s people.

This was an excellent way to see the majority of the park and explore various highlights including several waterfalls, with a limited amount of time. The guide, Andreas, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and shared insights regarding the history and seasonal changes within the park. Highly recommend this trip.

We thought we had missed the tour by mis-reading the pick-up time. We phoned the company (and spoke to a live person) and they agreed to circle back to pick us up! We are soooo glad we didn't miss it. Steve was an amazing guide with wonderful insights into the city history, amusing quips about area, and he simply made the tour a memorable event. Well worth the time and money.

Great time! Our driver/tour guide, Ken, was fantastic, very knowledgeable! Would give us little tidbits of info on Seattle as we left Seattle and also when returning besides plenty info on Mt Rainier. I was very impressed with his amount of knowledge. Wish I could have retained all of it, lol. The views as we drove up the mountain were gorgeous and he would always gave us a heads up so we could have our phones/cameras ready to snap. He would also make stops on the way back so we could have more time to take the scenery in. Make sure to bring snacks along and we were able to stop at a grocery store with a great deli so we could purchase something for our lunch for later. Our final stop did not have a big choice and also had long lines. Glad we purchased our deli items ahead of time. Gave us more time to explore the area. Great Day!!!

“Well that was extraordinary”

“Well, that was extraordinary. About a year ago our brother-in-law casually invited us to tag along on a family trip in Africa. Our kick-ass nephew Dawit was adopted from Ethiopia five years ago and the whole pack of nephews (four in all: Jack — 19, Luke — 17, Dawit — 15 and Josh — 14) and Steve’s sister Chris and brother-in-law John were all going to Ethiopia to visit with Dawit’s birth family, and were then headed to Botswana to go on a safari. Did we want to go? Steve was unflinchingly a yes vote, and I hedged for 5 minutes and then realized it was a once-in-a-lifetime offer. This is likely the last gasp with the pack of nephews in one place before they scatter to adulthood, and the chance to go to Africa with them on the heels of a visit to Dawit’s motherland? A true wouldn’t-miss-it opportunity. So, Africa we booked! We hadn’t ever planned on going to Africa, and certainly not for a safari (Expensive! Far! How much more impressive could animals be?) but we paid our deposit and figured the year-from-now day would come.”

This Pacific Northwest Hub Has Something for Every Traveler — From an Iconic Fish Market to the Sky-high Space Needle

travel company seattle

Best Time to Go

Things to know, how to get around, best hotels, best restaurants, things to do, best shopping, neighborhoods to know, apps to download.

The Pacific Northwest is known for its unadulterated natural beauty — from picturesque waterfronts to mountains beyond the city — and truly excellent coffee. And Seattle, as a hub of the PNW, is a perfect gateway to the area. Seattle feels simultaneously like a buzzing city and an outdoor lover's paradise. Lined by the Puget Sound, Lake Union, and Lake Washington, it's also home to some of the best seafood in the country, which is part of the reason why its food scene is so revered. Beyond the terrific restaurants, Seattle is known for its long and storied music history — it's the land of Jimi Hendrix, The Postal Service, Nirvana, Macklemore, Foo Fighters, and Pearl Jam, among others.

As for Seattle's tourist attractions, you'll spend your days taking the monorail between sites like Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park, and the Space Needle. From strolling Pike Place Market at lunch, to curling up with a book at a local coffee shop on a rainy afternoon, to hitting the music clubs in Belltown, you'll spend a few days in Seattle and quickly find you'll never want to leave.

Pacific Standard Time

The best time to visit Seattle is from June to October. Seattle sees a lot of rain, but June, July, and August are the driest months. And with the breeze coming off the Puget Sound, the summers aren't too hot. It starts to cool down in September and October, but the fall in Seattle is crisp and inviting, especially as the abundant trees change color.

As for events to keep on your radar, April is a big month for Seattle because it brings both the Seattle Cherry Blossom Festival and the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Beyond the flower shows, the Seattle International Film Festival is in June, the Seattle International Beerfest is in July, and the Seattle Marathon is in November.

Seattle Center is one of the most important tourist attractions in the city. It spans 74 acres and was once the site of the 1962 World's Fair. Within Seattle Center, you'll find the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass, among other attractions.

The Seattle monorail is a scenic, above-ground train that runs from Seattle Center to Westlake Center, which lies three blocks from Pike Place Market. A monorail ride costs $3 and is a great way to get around when you're sightseeing in the city.

Seattle is a tech capital of America, home to the headquarters of Amazon, IMDB, and Zillow, among other influential companies.

The city is also an important music hub, where you can always catch up-and-coming bands at clubs in Belltown. Plenty of A-list musical talent has come out of the Seattle area, from Jimi Hendrix to Death Cab for Cutie.

Seattle's Pike Place Market is one of the oldest-operating farmers' markets in America. It opened in 1907.

Trains: King County Metro has four different railway options: the Link light rail, Seattle Center Monorail, Seattle streetcar, and the Sounder train. The Link runs through downtown Seattle all the way to Sea-Tac Airport. Meanwhile, the Seattle streetcar has three different lines operating throughout the city. The Sounder train is a commuter rail that brings passengers outside the city limits. And finally, the monorail, which costs $3 for adults and $1.50 for kids, runs from the Space Needle at Seattle Center to Westlake Center, located just three blocks from Pike Place Market.

Buses: King County Metro offers more than 200 buses to take you around Seattle and the surrounding areas. Find a list of bus lines and their schedules here . You can pay for the bus with an ORCA card or with the exact fare in cash. (It's worth noting that bus drivers will not be able to offer you change.) Bus rides cost $2.50. Car Service and Taxis: Uber and Lyft both service Seattle. You can also find a taxi easily at the airport or select stands around the city, but it's easier to schedule one through a service like Seattle Yellow Cab. For a black car service, try local companies like Seattle Royal Town Car.

As a professional theater actor/singer/dancer for 30+ years, she has performed in big and small towns in every state in the U.S.A. plus Canada, Mexico, and Singapore on-tour and in regional productions. For pleasure, she has cruised the Inside Passage of Alaska; embarked upon a European Transatlantic voyage; and scuba dived all over the Caribbean. An avid hiker, she annually hits the trails out West. While performing in a hit show in Las Vegas for 7 years, she took great pleasure in being a local guide to visiting friends and family. She has a BFA degree in Theater (Directing/Performance/Dance) and is also a Voice-over Actor. Passions include spontaneous adventures, being of service to others, and the great outdoors - precisely why she loves being a part of the Expedition Trips team!

Gretchen’s love of international travel began with a student teaching program in New Zealand. She followed that with a year in South Korea, teaching English as a Second Language, then did her own language study in Central and South America. The more she traveled, the more she wanted to travel, so she trekked for a month in Nepal, road-tripped through Western Canada, then sailed on a four-month voyage around the world with the Semester at Sea program. She also earned her PADI certification in Thailand, rode horses in Iceland, and camped in the Wahiba Sands desert of Oman. She was with Expedition Trips from 2004-2008, and with them traveled to Antarctica, the Galapagos & Peru, Alaska, the Arctic, and the Mediterranean/Atlantic Coast of Europe. Gretchen has since honed her skills as a genealogist and an author and has had two books published: one humorous memoir, and one novel of Historical Fiction ( The Operator , William Morrow 2020). She has returned to the travel fold and balances her creative writing with the satisfying structure and analytical detail required of expedition trip planning, bringing with her a never-ending enthusiasm for world travel, small ships, polar regions, and penguins.

  • Do you need travel insurance this summer? It’s complicated, experts say

Travel Troubleshooter

If you’re planning to travel somewhere this summer, you’re probably thinking of buying travel insurance.

Kingsley Hopkins is. He’s headed to Portugal and Iceland with his girlfriend, and he wants to make sure he’s covered for things like medical emergencies or trip disruptions, “or if a volcano erupts,” he says.

But getting the right travel insurance can be complicated. There’s no one-size-fits-all policy, and Hopkins, an assistant editor at a book publishing company in New York, has been spending a lot of time thinking about how to protect his summer vacation.

Chances are, so have you.

more Summer travel tips

  • 6 pro travel tricks for an affordable, stress-free summer vacation
  • Summer travelers beware: Hidden fees are everywhere

Why finding the right travel insurance is so hard

Most surveys suggest this will be a record summer for travel. How much of a record? Demand is so high that some airlines are afraid they will run out of planes. Now that’s busy.

At the same time, danger and uncertainty are lurking everywhere — wars in Europe and in the Middle East, the usual slate of natural disasters like hurricanes and maybe a volcanic eruption or two. It’s no wonder people are giving some serious thought to insurance.

Older travelers are particularly worried. And they should be, says PK Rao, CEO of INF Visitor Care . Claims by travelers over age 50 spike during the summer months.

“According to our claim data, medical emergencies tend to uptick during the summer, especially for those going on trips that involve outdoor activities,” he says.

But there are so many choices out there, including credit card coverage, medical evacuation membership programs and stand-alone travel insurance. What should you get?

More Travel Troubleshooter

You need peace of mind .

But don’t just reflexively start shopping for a travel insurance policy this summer. Instead, look for peace of mind — knowing that if something goes wrong, you’ll be taken care of.

“Knowing you’re protected from unforeseen travel mishaps — like delays, lost baggage and even medical emergencies — can make the trip that much more enjoyable,” says Daniel Durazo, a spokesperson for Allianz Partners USA .

As it turns out, there are several ways to get the peace of mind you need. And there are times when you can safely skip travel insurance.

This is when you don’t need insurance

Here’s when you can skip travel insurance, according to experts:

  • If you already have coverage. “You may already have travel coverage through your benefits at work, your credit card or through group benefits with an organization,” says Jiten Puri, CEO of PolicyAdvisor.com. If you do, there’s no need to buy more coverage. You’re all set.
  • If you’re not traveling far. If you’re taking a driving vacation and staying in a place where lodging is free, like a relative’s sofa, then there’s not much to insure. “If you already have health insurance, it may cover you for a domestic trip, so you don’t need to think about health insurance coverage,” says Joe Cronin, CEO of International Citizens Insurance .
  • If your trip isn’t insurable. Traditional travel insurance covers conventional trips with prepaid, nonrefundable components like airline tickets and hotel stays. You might find that you either already have coverage through your medical insurance, or the trip is essentially uninsurable.

So think twice before saying “yes” to optional travel insurance that your online travel agency may offer you when you’re booking a trip. You might not need it.

Here’s when you need travel insurance

But most travelers should consider some kind of travel insurance coverage this summer. Here’s when you need the extra coverage:

  • If you have travel expenses that insurance would cover. “If you have many prepaid, nonrefundable expenses, it’s best to take out travel insurance,” says Lauren Gumport, a spokesperson for Faye Travel Insurance . “This includes things like flights, hotel rooms, tickets and activities.” The more conventional your vacation, the likelier travel insurance is to cover almost every aspect of your summer vacation.
  • If you’re leaving the country. “Your regular medical insurance might not extend coverage beyond your home borders,” says John Rose, chief risk and security officer at ALTOUR . Also, many countries require travel insurance for entrance. They include Bermuda, Qatar, Sri Lanka and some European countries.
  • If you can’t afford to lose your trip. “When considering travel insurance for your summer trip, evaluate whether you can afford to lose your vacation investment due to unforeseen circumstances like illness, weather disruptions or emergencies,” explains Robert Gallagher, president of the US Travel Insurance Association . “Can you afford the financial risk if you miss your cruise departure because of covered flight delays? What if you have to cut your trip short because of illness?”

One of the most common mistakes travelers make is assuming their credit card will cover them. For example, I found that my credit card only covered my rental car as secondary insurance, which made it completely useless when I rented a car in Tampa, Fla., recently. I had to buy a stand-alone policy from Allianz to cover the vehicle.

How one traveler insured his summer vacation

So how did Hopkins handle his travel insurance needs? Well, as I already mentioned — it’s complicated.

Hopkins says he always buys some travel insurance before he takes a trip, “but how much, and what I cover, varies,” he explains.

He decided that his path to peace of mind in this case was to spend a few extra dollars: He made fully refundable flight and hotel reservations, just in case something goes wrong. That would eliminate a lengthy claim with his travel insurance company or credit card.

But he still needed at least $50,000 in medical coverage with emergency evacuation because of his active schedule.

“We’re going to be doing a lot of hiking in Iceland,” he says. “And you just never know.”

At the beginning of the year, he decided to buy an annual MedjetHorizon plan, a membership that would get him from a hospital in Portugal or Iceland to a hospital at home, in case something happened.

For insurance, Hopkins checked TravelInsurance.com to find an affordable travel insurance policy. He found coverage through Trawick International that pays up to $50,000 in medical expenses and up to $200,000 for an evacuation.

“I’ve heard good things about them,” he says. “Hopefully, we won’t need any of it.”

How do I insure my trips?

I’m on the road about 360 days a year, so I’m always thinking about peace of mind. I currently use a Wells Fargo credit card with lots of travel benefits, and I have long-term policies through Faye and Cigna, which have worked fairly well. I also am a longtime MedjetHorizon member. If I rent a car, I turn to Allianz for my primary coverage.

I know — that’s a lot of peace of mind.

But I’ve also run into trouble and had to use many of those benefits. Medjet got me back home during the pandemic. Cigna covered me after a serious ski accident in Switzerland. My old Allianz policy took care of my medical expenses when I had to see a doctor in Santa Fe, N.M., a few years ago.

Like I always say, when it comes to having enough insurance, better safe than sorry.

Seattle, Washington

Looking to plan a last-minute summer vacation? Kayak released its annual summer travel report , and, for it, the travel company mined its search data to find out which U.S. destinations are trending among travelers this summer. A surprise, cooler-weather destination emerged as this summer’s most-searched destination: Seattle.

“Perhaps some travelers are unfazed by a bit of wet weather when it comes with a side of gorgeous scenery,” the report says.

The list also includes popular summer vacation mainstays, places like Orlando, a theme park capital, and the pool-spa-culinary playground that’s Las Vegas.

Ahead, the top five U.S. summer vacation spots for summer 2024, according to Kayak’s travel report, and a look at what's new in these trending destinations.

No. 1: Seattle, Washington

Pike Place Market in Seattle

For those looking for a reprieve from the heat, summer highs hover around the low 70s in Seattle, this year’s most searched summer vacation destination on Kayak.

The city has many must-sees, from the Space Needle and Pike Place Market to the color-saturated Chihuly Garden and Glass.

Seattle is also celebrating its 50th year of Pride this June, with professional athletes Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe serving as grand marshals for the annual Seattle Pride Parade on June 30.

Stay at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel , a luxury hotel on the National Register of Historic Places that’s celebrating 100 years this year and where you can turn back time in the Founders Club, a speakeasy-style bar with caviar bumps and classic cocktails.

No. 2: Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada and the Sphere

Las Vegas is sizzling hot in the summertime, but thankfully there’s plenty of glistening pools, water misters in cabanas, frozen cocktails, and spas to keep you cool as a cucumber.

What’s new in Las Vegas, Nevada?

The beauty of Vegas is you can come back every summer and be greeted by a bevy of new restaurants and entertainment options. Some highlights this year include the opening of Fontainbleau Las Vegas on the Strip (the spa has a snow shower to keep you cool) and Durango Casino & Resort in the Las Vegas Valley, plus shows at The Sphere.

For high rollers, Aqua Seafood & Caviar Restaurant at Resorts World Las Vegas is Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hergatt’s latest concepts and menu highlights include reserve caviar, king crab legs, and antipasti. Bruno Mars’ Pinky Ring cocktail bar and jazz lounge opened in Bellagio and Mariah Carey has a residency at Park MGM through Aug. 10, 2024.

No. 3: Orlando, Florida

ORLANDO, FL - MAY 31: Lasers light up the sky above Cinderella's Castle during the daily Happily ... [+] Ever After light and fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World on May 31, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. (Photo by Gary Hershorn/Getty Images)

You could also enjoy two destinations on this list on one trip: The Brightline high-speed rail service now connects Orlando to Miami (ranked No. 9).

What’s new in Orlando, Florida?

For those coming for the magic, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disney World on June 28, 2024, replacing the controversial Splash Mountain .

Over at Universal Studios Florida, go bananas with the Minions at Illumination’s Minion Land , which opened last August. Next up, DreamWorks Animations’ Themed Land will bring animated characters from movies like “Shrek,” “Trolls” and “Kung Fu Panda” to life in interactive play spaces.

Culinary enthusiasts will want to grab one of the 10 seats at the new Natsu Omakase counter. For fun outside the theme parks, Caribe Royale Resort Orlando debuted its Stadium Club, a next-level sports bar with sports simulators.

No. 4: Honolulu, Hawaii

Honolulu, Hawaii

What would “the best places to visit in the summer list” be without a beach destination? Honolulu is a popular connecting destination for the Hawaiian islands, but is also a sought-after summer stay in and of itself, with outstanding beaches and luxury shopping.

What’s new in Honolulu, Hawaii?

In time for summer travel, the 179-room Romer House Waikīkī made its debut as O’ahu's first adults-only hotel with The Backyard Pool & Bar that serves poolside Japanese-Hawaiian dishes.

The Twin Fin Hotel also recently launched a new experiential surf school led by nine-time Pipeline champion Jamie O’Brien.

No. 5: New York, New York

New York, New York

You could make plenty of repeat visits to New York City, and still have lots remaining on your must-do and must-see list, from a Broadway show to a visit to the Met to watching the Yankees play and see the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks.

What’s new in New York City?

To sprinkle in some new things, check out the new Museum of Food in Drink in Brooklyn, or try some new restaurants like ribeye steak tacos and a cornhusk meringue sundae at Esse Taco in Williamsburg or an 8-course Korean tasting menu with natural wine pairings at Beut.

The newest stay in New York City is the 69-room Warren Street Hotel, where the decor matches the creative energy of the Tribeca neighborhood. The hotel was recently awarded a Michelin key.
