Jersey Mike’s Kicks Off College Football Trivia Game and Tailgate Tour with Fox Sports

MANASQUAN, N.J., Aug. 30, 2021  – College football season is here and  Jersey Mike’s Subs  is teaming up with FOX Sports to celebrate by offering a College Football Trivia and Rose Bowl Stadium Sweepstakes when it hits the road this fall for the multi-city Jersey Mike’s Tailgate Tour.

After a year off due to the pandemic, the 14-week, 14-stop mobile tailgate tour is back, kicking off with the Ohio State vs. Minnesota game on Thursday, Sept. 2 in Minneapolis, Minn., which will be aired on FOX.

Partnering with FanHub , Jersey Mike’s will celebrate its return by releasing trivia games for 49 participating NCAA football schools, including five questions for each developed by team insiders. Fans can download Jersey Mike’s app to play. 

Upon completion of the trivia quiz, fans will be automatically entered in a sweepstakes for a chance to win a VIP trip for four to Rose Bowl Stadium to celebrate America’s New Year’s Celebration ® , which includes game tickets, round trip airfare, hotel, Rose Parade ®  presented by Honda tickets, pre-game hospitality area and private tour of the FOX Studios in Los Angeles. In addition, trivia players will be rewarded with six Shore Rewards points to redeem in store, in-app or online.

FOX Sports will air 30-second commercial spots promoting the sweepstakes. The Jersey Mike’s Tailgate Tour will also visit local FOX affiliates in tour locations, providing staff members with a free lunch and a chance to participate in the tailgate experience in the days leading up to select games. In-store display signage will remind guests to download the app and play the sweepstakes/trivia game.

In addition to its first stop at the University of Minnesota, the 14-week college tailgate tour will make stops at Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Rutgers, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Florida State, Clemson, Arizona State, Texas, USC and Washington, culminating in the final stop at Rose Bowl Stadium on Jan. 1, 2022.

The fully customized tailgate trailer will give football fans a chance to sample Jersey Mike’s authentic fresh sliced subs, download the app to enter Jersey Mike’s College Football Trivia and Rose Bowl Stadium Sweepstakes, and experience other game day fun including:

·      Outdoor lounge with Adirondack chairs and picnic benches

·      “The Juice” mobile device charging station

·      Corn hole lawn games

·      Interactive kiosk display

·      Giveaways

·      FOX Sports “Cleatus” character appearances and live game action on outdoor TV

The branded trailer will be placed in high traffic locations on each campus near tailgaters and stadium entrances for up to five hours before kickoff.

The FOX Sports and Jersey Mike's 2023 College Tailgate Tour is making a stop in Salt Lake City on Saturday, September 23, 2023!

You are invited to stop by before the UCLA vs. Utah game, they'll be set up in the tailgate lot near the corner of 500 South and Guardsman Way, from 10:30am to 1:30pm.

You are invited to enjoy a free sandwich and meet the FOX Sports Mascot "Cleatus".

Jersey Mike's will also give one lucky fan the chance to win "Subs for a Year".

There will also be other game day fun including lawn games, an interactive photo booth display, giveaways and an outdoor lounge with Adirondack chairs and picnic benches.

Packers Tailgate Tour kicks off Tuesday, May 14th

GREEN BAY (WITI) --The Green Bay Packers announced Monday, March 25th plans for the eighth ‘Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour,’ set for May 14th-18th. This year’s tour includes a stop in Iowa for the first time, in addition to four Wisconsin stops, to visit with fans and thank them in person for their support. The tour will make stops in Oshkosh (May 14), Beloit (May 15), Dubuque (May 16), Tomah (May 17) and Wisconsin Rapids (May 18), with tailgate parties held in each city to support a local non-profit organization. Tour celebrities will include Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, players Jarrett Bush, Randall Cobb and Alex Green, and Packers alumni Santana Dotson, Aaron Taylor and Frank Winters. The tailgate parties will welcome the players and alumni arriving at each location at 6 p.m., and will run until 8:30 p.m., except in Wisconsin Rapids, where the tailgate party will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. A local non-profit organization will host each party which will feature food, giveaways, question-and-answer sessions and autographs. Tailgate party tickets cost $30. General admission tickets also will be available for $5, which includes access to the Q-and-A sessions as well as tailgate party activities. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Due to space limitations, no general admission tickets will be available in Oshkosh and Tomah. One hundred percent of the Tailgate Tour proceeds will benefit the hosting organizations. Tickets for the tailgate parties at all locations except Tomah will go on sale April 1st. Tickets for the Tomah tailgate party will go on sale April 6th. ‘Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour’ tailgate party locations, hosting organizations and ticket information are as follows (6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in each city, except Wisconsin Rapids, where the tailgate party will take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.):

17th Packers Tailgate Tour rolls out from 1265 Lombardi Avenue

This year's Packers Tailgate Tour features current players Aaron Jones and Elgton Jenkins.  Former Packers on the bus include Eddie Lacy, HA HA Clinton-Dix, Davon House, & Evan Smith.

GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Of course a lot of the questions before the Green Bay Packers' Tailgate Tour were centered around the ongoing quarterback saga but there was other topics to talk about before it took off, from a revised contract for the starting running back to welcoming back former Packers.

Taking part in this year's 17th annual event are four former Packers and two on the the 2023 roster.

One of those is star running back Aaron Jones. In February, he took a revision on his contract that brought him from $16 to $11 million for 2023.

"Because I wanted to be here. This is home for me," Jones said. "I wouldn't say pay cut because I never made $11 million in my career, so this is still the most I have ever made. Still has me at second highest paid for running backs, so matched up with the market and didn't want to be greedy. I am a team player want to help the team."

The other current player on the Tailgate Tour is two-time Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins.

"I said when I first got here I wanted to be with the team for 10+ years and right now going into my fifth year, just signed another contract," Jenkins said.

In December, Jenkins signed a four-year extension to stay in Green Bay, and it made him the second-highest-paid guard in the NFL. But which position is he going to play -- guard or tackle -- in 2023?

"Right now I am working out as if I was playing offensive line", Jones laughed. "I feel way better than I did coming into last season."

Now to the former Packers, which included the 2013 NFL rookie of the year, running back Eddie Lacy.

"Chilling these days living out in Arizona, enjoying the sun," Lacy said of what he's been up to.

Lacy was asked whether the call to join the Tailgate Tour came as a surprise?

"Yeah, and I was like, eh, I usually say no to a lot, but I was like nah, I'm going to this one. I am going to do this, meet fans in person for the first time in different cities. I am real nervous about it because I don't really talk -- you know I don't really talk," Lacy chuckled.

Lacy will have a chance to catch up with his former college (Alabama) and Packers teammate Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who in late December officially retired with the Packers after bouncing around the league since he was traded in 2018.

"Gave me a chance to change my family's history and begin my legacy. Just giving back to the place that brought me and my family in," Clinton-Dix said.

The other two former Packers taking part in this event are Davon House and Evan Smith.

There's a lot on the itinerary, visiting many schools and hospitals just to name a few.

The Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Fox Sports Radio, IHeartmedia and KTLA Channel 5 will host the Tailgate Tour Super Week at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica Thursday through Saturday.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Fox Sports Radio, IHeartmedia and KTLA Channel 5 will host the Tailgate Tour Super Week at Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade.

The free fan experience runs from noon until 10 p.m. daily from Thursday through Saturday at the 1300 and 1400 blocks of the Third Street Promenade.

Football fans can enjoy a free, unique tailgate before the big game with live DJ’s, free drinks, snack samples, tons of exclusive fan activities and competitive football skills challenges perfect for your family.

The Los Angeles Rams Experience includes photo opportunities with a large Cooper Kupp mural, player cut-outs and Rams block letters, as well as a Rams newsstand with giveaways.

The Los Angeles Chargers will present a Bolts Experience with free giveaway items, autographs from Charger players and legends, as well as various NFL interactive games.

The event also features live broadcasts with A.M. 570 sports newscaster Fred Roggin, former NFL star Rodney Peete, Petros and Money, plus the Fox Sports Radio full Saturday lineup live. IHeartmedia 700 WLW (The voice of the Bengals) and NBC Cincinnati affiliate WLWT TV will have live broadcasts back to the AFC Champion home market.

FOX Carolina announces partnership with Clemson Athletics

CLEMSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - FOX Carolina (WHNS-Gray Media) and Clemson Athletics have entered into an exciting new agreement that makes FOX Carolina an Official Partner of the Clemson Tigers beginning immediately and will result in Clemson fans getting unprecedented video access to all sports within the University.

Beginning August 26, “Monday Night is Clemson Night” on FOX Carolina, as each Monday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., 52 weeks a year, the station will shine a spotlight on Clemson Athletics.

The programming includes 26 episodes of reimagined official coaches shows produced by FOX Carolina, live specials, and additional unique content produced by the athletic program’s EMMY Award-winning Clemson+ division, including original episodic content, talk shows and more.

The full hour will be devoted to an all-access look at all Clemson sports---the athletes, the coaches and support staff, fans and Clemson’s entire national championship-winning athletic program. Gray Media’s Raycom Sports will also assist in the production of unique content weekly that Tiger fans will love.

The partnership kicks off Monday, August 26th with a live one-hour special previewing the season LIVE from Clemson, as the Tigers prepare for their big season opener against Georgia. For the entire football season, Coach Dabo Swinney’s show will be followed by additional original content from Clemson+.

As basketball season comes into focus, Men’s Basketball Coach Brad Brownell’s show will move into the 7 p.m. time slot. With this unique partnership, many Clemson Athletics’ programs, both men’s and women’s, will share the spotlight on Clemson Night.

Throughout the year, FOX Carolina and Clemson will work together on special live programming, serving Clemson fans with an inside look at their favorite teams at the biggest moments.

In addition to FOX Carolina broadcasting these shows, viewers outside the Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson market will be able to watch as well. Gray Media’s new Palmetto Sports Network covering the state of South Carolina will carry the shows. Also, Gray’s Peachtree Sports Network will carry the coaches shows throughout the state of Georgia, bringing the total over the air distribution reach in the Carolinas and Georgia to over 5.7 million households. Gray’s Digital FAST channels, the ACC Digital Network and Origin Sports will also carry the new offerings worldwide.
