As our first time participating at QTM, we've been impressed by the spectacular organization. As we were seeking a Destination Management Company (DMC) to provide information about our destination in the Middle East, we found what we were looking for. Our focus is on Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. While our primary partners are based in Europe, participating in events in this region, including Qatar, has revealed significant demand for our country. This positive response encourages our commitment, and we look forward to participating in the event again next year.

This is our first time at QTM. My primary objective was to engage with GCC travel agents, particularly in Doha, Qatar. Additionally, I aimed to reconnect with existing clients. Unlike larger travel shows, one-on-one meetings were challenging due to higher traffic, but I appreciated the quality of buyers at QTM this year. My ultimate goal is to achieve a positive return on investment (ROI), and if accomplished in a timely manner, I am committed to returning to QTM next year.

QTM serves as an excellent platform for reconnecting and engaging with potential buyers. The organizing company has executed a commendable job in orchestrating this second edition. Looking ahead, I anticipate the third edition to be even better and more expansive in meeting its targets.

The Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic is participating for the first time in QTM, and we are pleased with the well-organized event. Everything has been prepared meticulously, and we are content with our experience. Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to return for the next year, building on the success of our current participation. Regarding our targets, we have successfully achieved approximately 30 B2B business meetings. This has been a fruitful engagement for us

It was our first time visiting Doha, Qatar. RM International, serving as the exclusive Greece and Cyprus agent for QTM exhibition. Having participated in the first edition, I've observed significant improvements in the current QTM exhibition. The organizing committee has demonstrated increased efficiency and effectiveness. I am optimistic about achieving my targets. Despite the busy days, I managed to secure a handful of leads. With direct flights from Doha to various Saudi cities, our focus on essential services aligns well. We anticipate even greater participation next year and express gratitude to Qatari authorities for their support.

Katara Hospitality, the founding partner of the exhibition, has made this our second year participating. The exhibition has successfully helped us achieve our objectives – securing new contracts and forging new partnerships with companies we hadn't engaged with before. We have also witnessed the participation of many companies and countries from outside Doha, which is a testament to the success of the exhibition and based on this, we look forward to participating in future editions."

"This year's participation was highly beneficial for us as the number of visitors increased, and there were more participants compared to the previous edition. It was a fruitful experience as it allowed us to showcase our facilities, and services, and connect with partners in the tourism and travel industry. We are strategizing to develop the tourism sector in Qatar in alignment with the country's vision for 2030. As for future participation, we plan to be involved because, ultimately, it is an exhibition that honours Qatar, and we, as participants, take pride in contributing to showcasing the latest updates in the hospitality, tourism, and travel sectors.

What impressed me the most was the professionalism of the hosted buyers, coming from diverse markets, and providing excellent networking opportunities beyond the Qatari market. This year, we represent a hotel group from Egypt, and next year, we hope to have an even larger representation from Egypt.

Dinas Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Parekraf) Provinsi DKI Jakarta kembali menggelar acara tahunan Jakarta Travel Fair (JTF) 2023 untuk mendorong peningkatan kunjungan wisatawan ke Jakarta.

Kegiatan JTF sudah dilaksanakan di Palembang pada 18 hingga 22 Oktober 2023, menyusul kemudian di Surabaya pada 1-5 November 2023 dan terakhir dilaksanakan di Atrium lantai 1 Mall Boemi Kedaton Lampung pada 15-19 November 2023.

Kepala Dinas Parekraf DKI Jakarta, Andhika Permata mengatakan, kegiatan yang dilaksanakan setiap tahun ini bertujuan mempromosikan keunikan serta keragaman yang ada di DKI Jakarta sekaligus dalam rangka mendukung program Pemerintah Pusat BBWI - Bangga BerWisata di Indonesia dengan target 1,4 miliar pergerakan wisatawan Nusantara.

“Untuk itu kami berharap Jakarta Travel Fair dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan dari daerah lain ke Jakarta, untuk menikmati liburan di Jakarta aja,” ujar Andhika, dalam keterangan tertulis, Jumat (17/11).

Andhika menyampaikan, berbeda dari tahun sebelumnya, pelaksanaan JTF tahun ini membuat terobosan baru dengan menggandeng asosiasi sektor pariwisata. Adapun asosiasi travel agent seperti Asosiasi Travel Agent Indonesia atau ASTINDO, yang sudah sering menyelenggarakan berbagai acara travel fair agar jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke DKI Jakarta dapat semakin meningkat.

Dia menjelaskan, peserta JTF melibatkan pelaku pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif di Jakarta dari lintas sektoral yakni travel agent / tour operator , hotel, transportasi, pemandu wisata, destinasi wisata, maskapai penerbangan, toko suvenir, perajin batik, dan sebagainya, yang akan memberikan harga khusus selama pameran ini.

Sejumlah maskapai penerbangan juga turut serta mendukung kegiatan JTF 2023 melalui pemberian doorprize tiket dan promosi harga khusus selama pameran.

“Para travel agent pun akan memperkenalkan paket-paket wisata unik dan baru seperti 46 rute walking tour , door to door package , student program , island hopping , dan penawaran menarik untuk berwisata ke Jakarta lainnya,” urai Andhika.

Dalam rangkaian kegiatan JTF 2023 ini juga akan diselenggarakan kegiatan corporate gathering , destination presentation , business networking untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta pameran/eksibitor dari Jakarta menginformasikan tentang kemajuan, keanekaragaman, keunikan kota Jakarta, agar dapat dipertimbangkan menjadi destinasi pilihan untuk perjalanan korporasi, sekolah, dinas, BUMD, serta masyarakat di di luar Jakarta.

Kepala Bidang Pemasaran dan Atraksi, Dinas Parekraf DKI Jakarta, Sherly Yuliana mengatakan, sejumlah bank juga ikut serta dalam JTF 2023 dengan memberikan dukungan berupa potongan harga sebesar Rp 300.000 untuk minimum pembelanjaan Rp 3.000.000 dan bonus-bonus seperti E-money .

“Selain itu, ada paket untuk kuliner eksklusif. Perusahaan telekomunikasi dengan jaringan terkuat seluruh Indonesia - Telkomsel, juga turut berpartisipasi dalam event JTF 2023,” ucap Sherly.

Dia menambahkan, Pendapatan Asli Daerah Provinsi DKI Jakarta di sektor Hotel, Restoran dan Hiburan sampai 18 september 2023 sudah hampir memenuhi target dengan pencapain sebesar Rp 4.732 trilun dari Target APBD 2023 yaitu senilai Rp5.8 triliun.

“Dinas Parekraf DKI Jakarta berharap Jakarta Travel Fair dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan dari daerah lain ke Jakarta, untuk menikmati liburan di Jakarta saja,” tandasnya.

Traveloka Travel Fair: Travel Solutions to Boost Domestic and International Tourism Recovery

Jakarta, 1 June 2023 —Traveloka is embracing the positive recovery of Indonesia's tourism industry and the growing interest in international travel. Furthermore, from the total trip data, 60% were taken for leisure and entertainment purposes, such as family vacations, trips with friends, and even solo travel. It was followed by business travel, religious tourism, and educational trips. Additionally, 75% of activities during holidays revolved around culinary experiences and shopping, followed by visits to tourist attractions, museums, amusement parks, beaches, and zoos.

Increasing Tourist Visits, Jakarta Travel Fair 2023 Held Again

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf) is again holding the annual Jakarta Travel Fair (JTF) 2023 to encourage increased tourist visits to Jakarta.

It is held in Palembang from October 18 to 22, 2023, in Surabaya from November 1 to 5, and at the Atrium on the 1st floor of Mall Boemi Kedaton Lampung from November 15 to 19.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Andhika Permata said this activity, which is held every year, aims to promote the uniqueness and diversity that exists in Jakarta as well as to support the Central Government's BBWI program - Bangga BerWisata in Indonesia with a target of 1.4 billion Indonesian tourist movements.

"Hopefully, the Jakarta Travel Fair can increase the number of tourist visits from other areas to Jakarta, just to enjoy a holiday in Jakarta," he expressed, in his written statement, Friday (11/17).

Compared to previous years, this year's event made a breakthrough by collaborating with tourism sector associations. There are travel agent associations such as the Indonesian Travel Agent Association or ASTINDO, which often organize various travel fair events, thus the number of tourist visits to Jakarta can increase.

He explained JTF participants involve tourism and creative economy actors in Jakarta from across sectors, namely travel agents/tour operators, hotels, transportation, tour guides, tourist destinations, airlines, souvenir shops, batik craftsmen, and so on, who will provide special prices during this exhibition.

Several airlines are also supporting JTF 2023 activities by providing ticket door prizes and special price promotions during the exhibition.

"Travel agents will also introduce unique and new tour packages such as 46 walking tour routes, door to door packages, student programs, island hopping, and other attractive offers for traveling to Jakarta," he explained.

Not only that, corporate gathering activities, destination presentations, business networking will also be held to provide opportunities for exhibition participants/exhibitors from Jakarta to inform about the progress, diversity and uniqueness of the city of Jakarta, thus it can be deemed as a destination of choice for corporate, school, official, and BUMD trips, as well as communities outside Jakarta.

Marketing and Attractions Division Head, Sherly Yuliana uttered several banks were also participating in JTF 2023 by providing support in the form of discounts of Rp 300,000 for a minimum spend of Rp 3,000,000 and bonuses such as E-money.

"There are also packages for exclusive culinary delights. The telecommunications company with the strongest network throughout Indonesia - Telkomsel, is also participating in the event," she said.

She added Jakarta's Original Regional Income in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Entertainment sector as of September 18, 2023 had almost met the target with an achievement of Rp 4,732 trillion from the APBD 2023 target, which was Rp 5.8 trillion.

Pemulihan Industri Pariwisata

Setelah dihantam pandemi, pada tahun 2022 industri pariwisata di Indonesia kembali menggeliat. Berdasarkan data Kemenparekraf tahun 2022, jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara (wisman) maupun wisatawan nusantara (wisnus) berhasil melampaui target. 

Pada 2022, terdapat kunjungan wisman sebanyak 5,5 juta kedatangan atau di atas target yang sejumlah 1,8- 3,6 juta kedatangan. Sedangkan pergerakan wisnus mencapai 800 juta perjalanan atau di atas target yang sebesar 550 juta perjalanan.

Pada triwulan I 2023, pemerintah pun menaikkan target kunjungan wisman menjadi 8,5 juta kunjungan dari yang mulanya 3,5 juta - 7,4 juta kunjungan.

Dengan angka tersebut, perolehan devisa diproyeksikan naik menjadi 6 miliar dolar AS dari yang sebelumnya 2,07 - 5,95 miliar dolar AS. Adapun, target mobilitas wisnus sebesar 1,2 - 1,4 miliar perjalanan.

Wakil Direktur Bisnis Harian Kompas Novi Eastiyanto mengatakan bahwa KTF 2023 dapat mendorong pemulihan industri pariwisata melalui berbagai penawaran wisata yang ada.

“Kita berharap tren ini terus berlanjut ke depannya. Melalui KTF 2023, kita berupaya untuk terus mendorong tren positif tersebut. Teristimewa pada penyelenggaraan yang ke-10, KTF ikut serta dalam memberikan solusi dan menghadirkan inovasi dalam pada industri pariwisata di Tanah Air,” kata Novi.

Kompas Travel Fair 2023 to support recovery of Indonesian tourism

he Kompas Travel Fair (KTF) is making a return to satisfy Indonesian travelers’ wanderlust, with its latest iteration set to be held from Sept. 1-3 in Hall 5 and Hall 6 of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD Tangerang.

The exhibition, which offers a variety needs for tourists, carries the tagline “Yuk Berangkat” (let's go), expresses the desire of people who cannot wait to pack their bags and set off.

Held by Kompas daily in collaboration with Bank Mandiri and Bank OCBC, KTF 2023 will be attended by various service providers and travel industry players, providing various products and services ranging from tour packages, airplane tickets and tourist attraction tickets to travel equipment.

KTF 2023 is also a golden opportunity for travel enthusiasts to find attractive promos and offers that are only available at the fair, such as the Ace Japan Algonam-z series suitcase at a price of Rp 399,000. In addition, the promos include cashback of up to Rp 4.5 million, discounts of up to 50 percent, 0 percent installments for up to 12 months, along with a range of free vouchers and many more.

Optimism of travel industry

KTF 2023 reflects the Indonesian travel industry’s optimism about its recovery, which started to pick up in 2022 after stagnating during the pandemic. Data from the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry for 2022 showed that the number of visits by foreign and domestic tourists exceeded its targets, with 5.5 million foreign tourists arriving throughout the year, above the target of 1.8 million to 3.6 million arrivals. Meanwhile, domestic visitors made 800 million trips, above the target of 550 million trips.

In line with the enthusiasm of the tourist sector in the first quarter of 2023, the government raised the target to 8.5 million visits by foreign tourists from the original 3.5 million to 7.4 million visits, along with projected foreign exchange earnings of US$6 billion, up from the previous target of $2.07 billion to $5.95 billion. In addition, the target for domestic visitors stands at 1.2 billion to 1.4 billion trips.

"That the number of tourists in 2022 exceeded the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry’s target shows that people's passion for tourism has risen, and we hope this trend will continue going forward. Through KTF 2023, we are seeking to encourage this positive trend. Especially as in its 10th edition KTF is providing solutions and bringing innovation to the tourist sector in Indonesia," said Kompas deputy business director Novi Eastiyanto.

Bring back the spirit of traveling

KTF has historically drawn large and enthusiastic crowds, with more than 50,000 visitors attending the three-day KTF 2019.

This year's event, which marks a decade of KTF, carries the tagline of “Yuk Berangkat”, which expresses the feelings of many people who can't wait to travel after the relaxation of various restrictions related to the pandemic last year.

"Yuk Berangkat" reflects the desire of the community to make tourism one of its priorities. However, traveling, whether individually or in groups, must be planned to satisfy the desire for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation, KTF will be able to help meet those needs.
