This place is one of the best for assorted collections and era of all types of toys. Emily and Tammy were extremely patient with all our questions and so helpful with accessing the items we wanted to see from the shelves and secured glass cases. I highly recommend this store for all themed and hard to find items. Check this place out. You will not regret your store visit. My girls truly enjoyed the experience. Thanks Tammy & Emily for your customer service.

I do like having a local family owned toy store in town and even their toys are more expensive than Target I like to support them but... The middle age blonde lady (owner?) is not nice to kids. She either in a okay mood or super mean. They have a train table play area but she will come by to scold at children. My 5yr old son actually doesn't want to go in anymore because he thinks she's too mean.

This is the best toy store I've ever been to. New toys, old toys. It's just incredible.

This toy store is a gem. The owner is so knowledgable and helpful. I always go here first for birthday gifts and presents. Great selection of stocking stuffers and games too.

Great place to find vintage toys, but mostly I come here to sell my kids old toys that are taking up space. They are very selective and usually half of the toys that I bring in will not be purchased even if they are in great condition but they tell me because some toys are seasonal so I guess I can't be mad. You can take store credit (decent) or cash value (not so good) but in reality I'm just happy to clear space in my house and get rid of some toys that are not being played with. If I would have kept some of my old school GI Joes or transformers when I was a kid, I think I would have done well here

Good selection but they need to figure out a way to organize the store. Most items don't have visible prices so if you're shopping and wanting to know the price of a few items be ready to bother an employee for several minutes at a time just to see the price is to high or the figure is missing pieces and not worth getting. Why wouldn't they organize things by prices and why are so many broken loose toys sitting in bins with $5-10 prices. Lastly to many items are in high places or just hidden away and don't have visible prices. I don't want to have to get an employee to get a ladder to check a price for me to go no thanks what about this item on the other end of the store up on a shelf.

Omg !!! What a gem !! This toy store is amazing. We stumbled upon this place after all day at a pumpkin patch and German restaurant that deserves a 5 star review as well. Anyways. Gazzilion of toys , puzzles , collectibles, fluffy pillows etc. Ended up getting lots of small toys and some kiddos jewelry and spend $19 dollars only :) Whenever in east bay - go here. You won't be sorry

Cramped, but cool place with a ton of toys and games, but not the most positive customer experience. Amidst kids taking things out of boxes and throwing stuffed animals, I was told by whom I assume was the older manager to "calm mine down" after she bumped a small bag off the rack while walking and pushing a doll stroller. We were also informed that if she didn't stop she couldn't play with it anymore. We had no problem obliging and putting it away. She wasn't mean about it, but for a community toy store, the older staff lady certainly didn't make us feel particularly welcome, especially since she was only slowly pushing the tiny stroller around the store. Other than that interaction, store is fine for what it is but we probably won't come back soon. Bummer of an experience for otherwise a cool store.

Great selection of toys, so densely packed with items and brands you've never heard of. We used to spend hours in here, and my toddler misses the train table so much. In covid times, the staff has been great helping me find items through the phone. And just this weekend the owner helped me get a phone order even when they were officially closed. Great customer service. We are lucky to have them in Alameda.

Staff is so helpful. They have something for everyone. I have just been calling if they have a particular character and they pick out the best items. This has been great during this time for birthdays.

Located on Park Street, Toy Safari has been selling toys, games, arts and crafts projects, and much more for kids of all ages since 1991. Toy Safari is a family-run toy shop in Alameda. This year, we’re celebrating 24 years of good vibes on the sunny side of the Bay. We buy, sell and trade toys of all kinds, for kids of all ages. Our shelves are always piled high with brand-new and used toys alongside classics, vintage, and collectibles. ---------- You can sell us your toys from noon to 5:00 pm every day. Feel free to bring any toys in good condition that you’d like us to consider buying. Our inventory is always changing, but if we have room for it and we think we can sell it, we’ll buy it. When you trade with us, we give you store credit that can be used on any of our toys and never expires. For store credit, we pay 60% of the price we think we can sell the toy for. When you sell your toys for cash, we pay 40% of what we price your items to sell for.
