Drinking Around the World Showcase at Epcot

duffy-cup-beer-epcot-disney-world copy

Our guide to Drinking Around the World in Epcot at Walt Disney World, covers our tips, and top picks for the best beers, wine, and mixed drinks. There’s also plenty of strategy for conquering this worldly task without climbing up the side of Mexico pavilion and holding up a Duffy plush Lion King style for all of World Showcase to see.

Since most of us probably won’t be able to haphazardly spend thousands of dollars to fly to Paris at a moment’s notice for some artisan cheeses or brave a winter in Canada just for some fine brews anytime soon, Epcot’s World Showcase offers us the next best option: sampling many alcoholic beverages and decadent desserts of the world in authentic-looking environments all while on vacation at Walt Disney World.

Of course, whose bucket list doesn’t also include having a drink in 10 different countries in a single day? No? Well, now you can add it to your list and cross it off. With our advice, those can actually be good drinks rather than a bunch of brightly colored, frozen concoctions that’ll leave you with more of a sugar rush than an a buzz…

The premise is simple: start out at one end of World Showcase, and continue through the countries, sampling a drink and/or dessert in each country. As there are 11 countries in the World Showcase, this is easier said than done. It’s even more difficult during Food & Wine Festival, when Epcot adds lots of kiosks that serve additional drinks.

If you’re looking to complete this drinking event then, check out our Guide to the Epcot Food & Wine Festival for additional tips & info. With even more drinking options, expect Drinking Around the World during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival to be a lot of fun…albeit perhaps not for your liver.

First, we will start with our tips and strategies for Drinking Around the World Showcase, generally, followed by specific drink recommendations….

General Epcot Drinking Strategy

walt-disney-world-food-031

Value for Money – If you have a Tables in Wonderland card , keep in mind that it’s valid for a discount on alcohol at Table Service restaurants, but not at kiosks or counter service spots. If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan , you won’t be able to use any credits for alcohol as you drink around the world

Snack Around the World – Food soaks up alcohol, enabling you to drink more. That’s just science. We have a separate, companion article to this title Snacking Around the World Showcase that offers snacking tips for each country. The non-drinkers and anyone who wants to enjoy more than just drinks should check that out. If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it’s a good idea to use some snack credits as you wander the World Showcase. Check out our article on Maximizing Snack Credit Value on the Dining Plan or, if you’re traveling during Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival (in the fall), check out our article on the Best Food & Wine Festival Snacks .

Make it an All-Day Affair – Yes, a day in a Disney theme park does cost a lot of money, but if done correctly, Drinking Around the World can be some of the most fun you’ll ever have. Starting around 11 am still gives you time to hit the big Future World attractions, such as Soarin’ and Test Track first thing in the morning, or even rope dropping Frozen Ever After. Plus, spreading the drinking out over the course of the day is always a good idea.

Be Respectful – Drinking Around the World at Epcot has proliferated in popularity in recent years. Some would say it’s gotten to the point where it’s a problem. On a given day in Epcot, you will see multiple drinking “teams” replete with matching shirts and obnoxious attitudes. Never forget that Epcot is a family theme park, and while Drinking Around the World Showcase can be a ton of fun, that fun should not occur at the expense of your fellow park guests.

Germany in Epcot's World Showcase

Explore the Pavilions – You’re limited in which attractions you can visit with a drink in hand, so take some time to explore the wonderful details in the pavilions themselves. Morocco, Germany, Italy, and Canada, among others, all have great depth to explore. You’ll be surprised how fun it is to simply wander around deep in each pavilion and see the architecture and hidden details.

Share Drinks – Drinking in moderation is key to maximizing your fun while Drinking Around the ‘World. Split drinks when necessary to avoid over-consumption, and sample one another’s drinks to experience the different flavors of the ‘World. Additionally, not every pavilion has a stellar option for both the beer drinkers and mixed drink fans in your party. Although beer selection is improving at Walt Disney World, it’s still weak in some countries. We have an article on Finding Good Beers at Walt Disney World , and our friends over at Beers and Ears have some great apps for finding beers at Walt Disney World that might further assist with finding good beers while drinking around the world!

Enjoy Attractions Between Drinks – World Showcase is not known for rides, with the Gran Fiesta Tour in Mexico and Frozen Ever After in Norway Arendelle being the main options. The films in France, Canada, and China plus the American Adventure are other great options. After a couple of drinks, you might weep uncontrollably at the emotional power of the American Adventure…or you might just fall asleep. Check out our full Epcot Ride Guide for ratings and reviews of every attraction in Epcot.

Recommended Drinks by Country

margarita-san-angel-inn-epcot

We used to recommend starting in Mexico, but if you’re a beer drinker, due to recent changes in Canada, you are now better suited to start in Canada. Mixed drink or tequila fans should still start in Mexico. If you start in Mexico, this list is in order by country. If you start in Canada, it’s in reverse order.

Mexico – Outside the Mexico pavilion you can get Margaritas that are pre-mixed, extremely sugary and are sure to upset your stomach. Avoid these, instead go inside to La Cava Del Tequila, which serves some excellent drinks, notably the Blood Orange Margarita, Avocado Margarita, and Jalapeno Margarita, and tequila flights. There’s even a special offer if you show your server that you follow @CavaDelTequila on Twitter . La Cava Del Tequila is far and away the best place for mixed drinks in World Showcase, which is why we recommend starting here…but just make sure you leave!

Get a Carlsberg in Norway – Carlsberg isn’t amazing, but it’s a solid beer…despite not actually being from Norway. Hey, it’ll fit right in with the Frozen attraction! This is a lesser-of-all-evils situation.

The one thing you want to make sure you avoid is the aquavit shot. Unless the idea of a shot of potato alcohol that tastes like it’s mixed with fire and dill pickles sounds appealing. (I’m not kidding, that’s about what it tastes like.)

Walt Disney World May 2012 050

Don’t Miss the Tea Stand in China – Names can be deceiving! Featuring some of the most unique cocktails in World Showcase, the Mango Gingerita, Canto Loopy, Peach Snap! or Green Tea Plum Slush is the way to go here. Tsing Tao on draft is a rare sight, but it’s not better than the cocktails. Some readers have indicated they are a fan of the Plum Wine here, but it’s not my…ahem…cup of tea.

Skip the “African” Outpost – Way back in the 1980s, this was where the African pavilion was to be. Now it’s just a filler area. It doesn’t count as a country, and thus is not an official stop on a Drinking Around the World tour. It’s fun for buzzed photos at the drums, but you do not need to stop for a drink here. Don’t be fooled by the Safari Amber that’s “exclusive” to Walt Disney World. It’s just a boring Anheuser-Busch InBev brew .

1106300127

Avoid the Crowd in Germany – Due to the actual country’s reputation, the beer kiosk near the front in Germany typically has long lines. Avoid these by heading deeper into the pavilion. The beers offered here typically include Spaten, Altenmunster Oktoberfest, Lowenbrau, Radeberger, and others I can’t type or pronounce.

There are also Jägermeister shots. I know Germany is a favorite beer country for many, but I find most of these beers to be good, not great. You should definitely get something here, but I think the real winners are in Canada. My pick here would be the Altenmunster Oktoberfest.

Stop at Via Napoli in Italy – You’re almost halfway through, so now is a good point for a relaxing air-conditioned break. Head inside Via Napoli and get a Moretti La Rossa, a malty beer with a big nutty flavor. The pizza is also pretty good if you’re in the mood for something filling.

Moretti is now available outside. It’s also available at Tutto Gusto, the Italian wine cellar, where you can get beer flights as well. The kiosks outside also have margaritas (not recommended), wines (some decent choices), and dessert wines. Despite Italy being known for wines rather than beers, I’d stick with the beer here.

beer tour disney world

Craft Beers in America – Finally! Our long national nightmare is over! The American Adventure used to be an awful spot for drinks, but that has all changed. Regal Eagle Smokehouse & Craft Drafts just opened, and has a walk-up drink window that serves Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider, Bell’s Oberon, Tennessee Lemonade, and more.

Additionally, Block & Hans is a small kiosk to the far side of the pavilion that opened last year, and it serves a variety of American craft beers. These rotate to some degree, but I’ve noticed something excellent from Bell’s is there most of the time, which is a popular choice from my hometown in Michigan. (Almost everything Bell’s brews is fantastic–get whatever they have!)

Tokyo-Japan0146

Experiment in Japan – Japan offers a couple good options: plum wine and hot or cold sake. The Kirin Ichiban beer is nice and smooth, too. These may not be things you’d normally drink, but give them a try anyway.

My recommendation here would be the hot sake, which I think goes down pretty well. Whatever you do, don’t get the beer–especially the Frozen Ichiban. It will be tempting because it’s such a novel concept, but this is just an unpleasant drink.

1106300116

Try a Mixed Drink or Sangria in Morocco – Casa Beer is the only Moroccan-themed beer offered (something tells me this fairly mild drink isn’t what they were pouring at Rick’s Cafe Americain) and it’s alright. The mixed drinks and sangria are also good options, especially the Sultan, but I highly doubt any of them are any more Moroccan than a can of SPAM.

There’s also a bar in the Tangierine Café where you can get coffee infused with liquor. Perfect late afternoon pick-me-up if you need one. Honestly, this might be a country to skip if you need a mind-tour break.

france-clock-night-bricker

$$$ in France – The Grand Marnier & Grey Goose Orange Slush, and the Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush are crazy expensive, but they’re also pretty good. They don’t have much alcohol and are terrible values, but they still aren’t bad options.

Don’t bother with the (one) lackluster beer in the France pavilion. I have no insight to the wines here, but hey, it’s France…maybe they’re good?

Blend It Up in the United Kingdom! – There are quite a few beers on tap in Rose & Crown, and they’re all pretty good, but the best options are the pub blends such as the Bumblebee (Boddingtons and Guinness), Black and Tan (Bass and Guinness), or the Golden Fox (Boddingtons and Bass). Tastes Great, more fulfilling!

Although this is one of the last stops on the list, we recommend trying to hit it earlier in the evening, as it gets really busy late at night. The restrooms here (picture above) are some of the busiest and loudest in Walt Disney World at night!

epcot-beer-la-fin-du-monde copy

Canada Beer is the Best Beer (Here) – It used to be the case that you had to dine in Le Cellier, one of the most popular restaurants in all of Walt Disney World , to get the good stuff. Recently, Canada started serving a few varieties of Unibroue beers outside at the kiosk, as well! These include Éphémère and Trois Pistoles, but the real highlight is La Fin Du Monde. This is a robust Abbey Tripel that is arguably one of the best beers in the world. It scores a 99 on Ratebeer . (Just for reference, that’s over DOUBLE the score of the best beer in Germany.)

Not only is it delicious, but it’s a great value. You might be thinking that an $11 beer can’t possibly be a great value, but I purchased the bottle pictured above at a local beer store for $12. So, by Disney standards, there is minimal markup here and it’s a great value. The Trois Pistoles is also an excellent, excellent beer–the second best in World Showcase. I’m not a huge fan of Éphémère, but you could do worse. Be ashamed, be very ashamed, if you purchase a Moosehead or Labatt here. The Torontopolitan is also to be avoided.

1106300037

Truthfully, I’m to the point now where the novelty of Drinking Around the World long ago wore off for me, and now I just grab a Unibroue in Canada on my way into World Showcase, backtrack to get another later, maybe stop for a Bell’s Oberon in America, then stop at La Cava Del Tequila on the way out. That’s more than enough booze and money spent, plus I’m actually getting drinks I like as opposed to drinking something in each country for the sake of trying it. Your mileage may vary, and I understand there’s a certain novelty to Drinking Around the World Showcase, but depending upon your tastes, you might be woefully underwhelmed by a lot of these options.

If you’re determined to complete this grueling drinking challenge, by following the simple tips and drink suggestions above, your day at Epcot Drinking Around the ‘World should be an excellent time. Remember to drink in moderation and be courteous to fellow guests during your trip, as Walt Disney World is a family vacation destination, not your local college dive bar!

Wife and I would love to do this someday now that we live here lol. How often do you and Sarah do this? Once ever or is it a tradition to do once a year etc?

My family is finally heading to Orlando from Canada in March, after a cancelled trip in July 2020. From reading your blog, I know that you are a huge fan of our beer here in Canada, especially the Unibroue brewery selection.

I hope you will let me pack a six-pack of assorted Unibroue beers into my bag. I am sure there are varieties you can’t get in Florida and would like to try. As well, their beers are readily available here in Ottawa beer stores. We have LOTS of great beer (you probably should visit Ontario/Quebec sometime).

Please let me know which varieties you would like me to bring down! You could pick them up at my hotel. Or I could drop them off at a hotel on-site for you. I can arrange to leave them with bell services or at the front desk. (I am honestly not trying to be weird and meet you). Or, in Canada, we can send an Uber to pick things up; I am game to hand them off to a driver (you send) to bring them to you – let me know of any other ideas!

La Fin Du Monde is such an amazing beer, thank you for turning me on to it. The high abv caught me off guard when I had 3 of them in 2 hours.

I have a suggestion for lovers of that beer. You can’t get this one in Disney, but À Tout Le Monde is an amazing beer by the same brewery and on the upside it’s on 4.5% abv so you can have more then 2 and still function ;). Plus for 80s metal fans, it features artwork from the band Megadeath.

A number of years ago, I got a paper “Passport” that could be stamped at each pavillion if you ordered a drink. It made the experience extra fun. Are they not still doing this?

' src=

Last time we were there on a weekend during Food & Wine I compared it to a college pub crawl. Honestly, it was an awful experience. Don’t get me wrong, we enjoy having a few…. but it was terrible. Do not go to EPCOT on weekends during the festival with your children!!! They don’t need to be exposed to the sophomoric drunks.

First-Timers Guide to Drinking Around the World at Epcot

February 29, 2024 //  by  disneytrippers //   5 Comments

If you are looking for tips for drinking around the world at Epcot, you have come to the right place! Epcot has always been my favorite park, and there is so much to see all around the World Showcase that you could be there for weeks.

That being said, you aren’t here for the history, you are here because you are coming for your Epcot drink around the world experience! This ultimate guide will help you figure out just how to do that. YES there are ways and many do’s and don’ts that you should subscribe to if you are adding this activity to your Epcot itinerary!

Epcot’s “drink around the world” fame came for a good reason! It is a FUN thing for adults to do at Disney World . Epcot allows you to indulge in your adult side. The best part? There are also plenty of drinks without alcohol so if someone in your group doesn’t drink, they can still join in the fun!

If you plan on drinking around the world on your visit to Disney World resort, you have to have my favorites: the Sake Slushy, the Orange Slush, and the Strawberry Daiquiri!

Get ready to learn the tips and tricks necessary for making your Epcot drink around the world dreams come true!

Where to Start Drinking in the World Showcase

EVERYBODY says to start at Mexico and end at Canada. This is WRONG and hear me out! If you start at Mexico, you will be saving the VERY BEST DRINKS in Epcot for the end when you are broke and super drunk.

NO! I want you to ENJOY these drinks as they are truly the best of the best and you will get to drink three of them in a row! If you start at Mexico , you will start with a huge tequila drink and while it is delicious, it is very strong and large. You will fill up and won’t be interested in the BEST drinks at Epcot.

For reference, the BEST drinks at Epcot come from France, Morrocco, and Japan. I have recommended these drinks to MANY people and they have ALL loved them. Whether you are a guy or gal or a heavy drinker or someone who hardly drinks, these are drinks that EVERYONE totally loves!

Instead, I recommend starting at Canada, where you will begin with a simple beer or wine. Then, you will head to the UK pavilion where again, you will have a beer or something similar. Beers are much lighter than blended drinks so it is a good intro to the next three drinks.

After you are done with a simple drink at Canada and the UK, you will then hit France, Morrocco, and Japan, all in a row. You will get to enjoy the BEST OF THE BEST Epcot drinks right off the bat, not after you have visited 6 prior countries and are probably ready to give up and go home.

Of course, you can plan your own Epcot drink around the world experience, but this is my insider tip to make your experience go smoothly.

Stop-by-Stop Guide to Drinking Around the World at Epcot

Below, I will show you the very best drinks at Epcot! I will also include their updated prices. You will begin in Canada and go counter-clockwise around the world showcase. I will also rate based on taste, but remember, this rating can vary depending on your specific interests and tastes!

Please keep in mind that your Epcot drink around the world experience is very specific to you and what you like. That being said, I have taken many people to Epcot and have suggested my favorite drinks to them, and they have always been a huge hit.

You may show up for your drinks around the world at Epcot and decide you want something else, and that is okay! There are lots of options there, but here are my picks for Epcot’s best drinks:

Canada – Moosehead Draft ($10.75)

Taste rating: 6/10

The Moosehead Draft in Canada has been a fan favorite for years! I remember going to Epcot with friends almost 10 years ago and this staple beer was their favorite! If you are looking for the best drinks at Epcot, this is a good one to start with.

It is a VERY light beer so don’t expect anything dark or strong, but it is refreshing and a good way to start off your drinking around the world. It isn’t anything fantastic, but it is one of the best that Canada offers.

You can get this drink at the popcorn cart that is outside of the gardens and Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion.

Of course, if this isn’t the type you prefer, there are many beers around the world at Epcot and Canada has other options for you to choose from.

womans hand holding beer in front of large stone building

UK – Strongbow Cider ($11.25)

Taste rating: 7.5/10

If you want an imperial pint, it will be a little over $11 and you can choose from a variety of ales, lagers, and stouts. Our suggestion is the Strongbow Cider. It has a lovely taste and is a family favorite that my sister and her boyfriend get every time they visit Epcot.

The pub blends are also very popular here, like the Snake Bite Imperial Pint and Half & Half Imperial Pint. These are the same price as the single ales and lagers, but have different combinations based off your tastes!

You can get these beers inside the Rose And Crown Pub in the UK pavilion, which is home to some of the best beers around the world at Epcot. The Rose and Crown Dining Room next door is also home to some of the best food in Epcot as well!

Still aren’t sure what to get? Ask the bartenders who are often from the UK which beer in Epcot you should get! They will have specific local suggestions.

France – Orange Slush ($14.95)

Taste rating: 10/10

This is the cream of the crop and one of my top three drinks at Epcot. If you are drinking around the world, make sure to budget for this beverage! You can’t miss it and shouldn’t do yourself that disservice. This is a drink that everyone loves, regardless of tastes!

This tasty beverage is a mix between Grand Mariner Rum, Grey Goose, and Orange Juice. It is frozen to perfection and perfect for a hot Florida day! It is hands down, one of the best drinks at Disney!

You can find it at Les Vins des Chefs de France, the beverage cart that is across from Chefs De France, one of the best Epcot restaurants . It isn’t hard to find and usually always has a long line because it is a fan favorite.

It is truly one of the best drinks in Epcot, and sometimes even comes in other flavors. This blended drink that France offers is never a bad choice and I beg you to save your money for this one while drinking around the world at Epcot!

hand holding orange Grand Mariner Slush drink at Epcot drink around the world with people eating in the background

Morocco – Strawberry Daiquiri ($15.50)

For whatever reason, the Strawberry Daiquiri is one of the more expensive drinks at Epcot, but it is TOTALLY worth it! This is one of my top three favorite drinks at Epcot and why I recommend visiting the World Showcase in this order.

The Strawberry Daquiri isn’t a plain old daiquiri though, it’s frozen and comes with Rum, Strawberry, And Orange Blossom Water. It is a deep shade of red and SO good. It is one of those drinks where you can’t “taste” the liquor until it is too late. If you only want to get a few drinks at Epcot, this is one of them and you won’t regret it!

You can find this drink at the Oasis Sweets & Sips Kiosk to the left of the pavilion as you are about to exit Morrocco and head counterclockwise to Japan.

They also do a non-alcoholic version of this drink so if you are doing a “dry” version of drinking around the world at Epcot or have a mixed crew, this is a great choice for you.

Japan – Sake Slushy ($12)****Disney Trippers Favorite****

Taste rating: 11/10 😉

If I could only choose ONE DRINK to recommend at the World Showcase, this would be it. The blackberry Sake Slushy in the Japan pavilion is what I recommend to EVERYONE and everyone loves it. This is my top favorite drink at Epcot.

I asked the Cast Member working there what flavor she suggested, and she said blackberry. I have never looked back since. The flavor is perfect and light and the sake is delicious. This is one of the best drinks at Epcot and is served over shaved ice that you can hear being blended right as you are ordering.

I can’t tell you how many people I have suggested this drink to who continue to rave about it, but the number is high.

You can find this fantastic creation at the Kabuki Cafe on the outside of the Japan Pavilion. Please do yourself a favor and get the Sake Slushy in Blackberry as part of your Epcot drink around the world journey! I promise that you won’t regret it!

hand holding a slushy drink in front of a japanese gate which is the best drink around the world at Epcot

America – Sam Adams Seasonal ($12)

By now, you would have tried my top three favorite drinks in all of Epcot. This is the trifecta, but it is now time for a simple beer. What is more American than a Sam Adams Seasonal beer?

There’s always a great seasonal option, which means you can have a different beer if you go at different times of the year. If you can’t choose, I recommend picking a local Floridian beer to help support small businesses!

You can find this drink at the Fife & Drum Tavern kiosk in the America pavilion.

If you are looking for great beers around the world at Epcot, this is the place to get it. America is heavy on beer and less so on blended/liquor drinks.

womans hand holding up beer with flowers and colonial brick building in the background

Italy – Peach Bellini ($14)

Taste rating: 9/10

If I could have an honorable mention favorite drink, it would be the Peach Bellini from Italy! After my top three favorite drinks in Epcot, this is my fourth. The downsides are that you have to wait forever, which is typical of even visiting Italy, and then once you get your size, it is puny for the steep $14 price tag.

This drink goes quickly. It tastes AMAZING but the size is really small. Unlike the blackberry sake or the daiquiri which are larger drinks, this one is served in a champagne flute and is super tiny.

I still recommend it and think it is one of the best-tasting drinks at Epcot! It is a simple peach puree and prosecco. It was light and refreshing but the portions just weren’t big enough for the price!

If you are drinking around the world at Epcot with a larger crew, I would suggest ordering two or more of these as everyone will really only get a tiny sip. They are really good so it is sad the portion is so small compared to other options.

You can find this drink at Gelateria Toscana, which is the gelato kiosk at the front of the Italy pavilion.

hand holding up a bellini against italian architecture while drinking around the world at disney's epcot

Germany – Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen ($11.50)

Taste rating: 8.5/10

The Grapefruit Beer in Germany is our favorite beer in Epcot! This is one of the few places you can even get this beer, and the flavor is so unique. The size is great too, and this is a wonderful place to stop and have a giant Bavarian pretzel with some mustard too!

You can find the Grapefruit Beer at Sommerfest in Germany. This is definitely one of the best Epcot beers around the world. You can’t miss it as there is always a decent line for people looking to try it and other beers that this pavilion has to offer!

I suggest getting the giant Bavarian pretzel to go along with this beer and soak up the alcohol you have had. The pretzel is bigger than your face so it is quite large and well worth the price. It is perfect for sharing with whoever you are drinking at Epcot with.

woman holding a yellow glass of grapefruit beer while drinking around the world at epcot

China – Plum Wine ($9.75)

Taste rating: 7/10

The plum wine in China is a family favorite and a great way to reduce your spending if your Epcot drink around the world cost is pretty high by this point. I do recommend just a sip per person as the portion is quite small.

My sister tried the plum wine on her 21st birthday when we drank around the world in celebration, and now she has plum wine for every holiday and birthday that she hosts!

You can find the plum wine inside the Lotus Blossom Cafe which is one of the quick-service restaurants at Epcot.

If you are looking for other drink ideas in the China Pavilion, the Joy of Tea cart has great alcoholic and non-alcoholic options! The Tipsy Ducks in Love is a guest favorite, and you can’t wrong with a Bubble Tea either!

woman holding glass of Plum Wine In Epcot China with people and Chinese temple in the background

Norway – Einstök White Ale ($12)

The Einstok White Ale is actually from Iceland, one of my favorite countries, despite being served in the Norway Pavilion. It is a typical Scandanavian Beer and one of the best choices out of your limited options from the Norway pavilion.

If there is a Epcot Festival going on, you could try a seasonal drink that will be expensive but smaller in size if you don’t like any of the offerings at the Norwegian drink cart which is where the Einstök White Ale can be found.

It is large for the price, but one of the more expensive beers at Epcot. Either way, it is a solid choice and you really can’t go wrong with this option. I have actually had this very beer in Iceland itself with Icelandic friends.

Mexico – Mango Loco Margarita ($13.50)

Taste rating: 8/10

You will end your journey drinking around the world at Epcot in Mexico. The margarita stand here, Choza de Margarita, is very popular and our favorite drinks from here are the Mango Loco Margarita OR the Fiesta which is a combination of the three frozen margarita flavors. It is very strong with tequila, so maybe this would be a great time to grab a quick snack of some chips and guacamole.

If you are feeling adventurous for your last drink, I suggest heading inside the Mexico pavilion to the hidden La Cava De Tequelia and trying the Avocado Margarita. Yes, it sounds weird, but it is fantastic and you can’t go wrong!

La Cava De Tequila is really a hidden gem around the World Showcase that you will love. They have more top shelf drinks, but are worth it if you’re looking for fancier drinks for what to drink at Epcot.

Average Cost of Drinking Around the World at Epcot

The Epcot drink around the world cost varies depending on what you get and your group. If you drink around the world at every country in Epcot, you are going to be spending at least $8-$15 per drink. Of course, each person in your group must also pay for their park ticket to enter Epcot as well.

Keep in mind that Disney seems to raise the prices every year, and if you are going during one of the many festivals at Epcot and are drinking from the festival carts, prices may be quite high and portions smaller than what is suggested here.

The average cost Epcot drink around the world cost ranges between $100-$140. If you are getting non-alcoholic beverages or are not drinking at every country, budget for the prices to be a little lower.

This is exactly why I recommend drinking around the world at Epcot with friends or in a larger group. If each drink costs $10, each one of you can pick up one drink and only spend $10 the entire time. Even if you split $100 total four ways, each of you is still only paying $25 and there will be PLENTY of liquor to go around!

At the end of the day, $25 a person for drinking all day at Disney is beyond reasonable and you can always add more if you want more Epcot drink around the world fun!

When I drank around the world, I spent $137.20.  I got a drink from each Epcot country and I even saved a little bit based on my choice from China. I would add $5+ more if you got a drink with liquor instead of wine from China as I did.

I would say that spending $100 is on the VERY low end and assuming you get some drinks that are under $12 per country and no drinks that are over. There are a few very good drinks that are over $12 per country [for a total of $137 assuming you spent no more than $12 per country]. Drinking around the world at Disney is expensive, but doesn’t have to break the bank when done correctly.

As you can see, the Epcot drink around the world cost varies widely. It all depends on which drinks you choose, how many drinks you decide to have, and how many people you are splitting the costs with. There are a lot of factors that can drastically change that price for drinking around the world showcase at Epcot, as I’ve shown you with my price breakdowns above.

Don’t forget to check out our list of the Best Things To Do In Epcot for help planning your trip!

beer tour disney world

Who to Drink with Around the World Showcase

One of the most important parts of drinking around the world at Epcot is choosing your crew! You are going to want people who are FUN to drink around the world at Epcot with! You are going to want people who have some money to burn and who are open to trying different things.

You are also going to want people who aren’t afraid to try some snacks too, because a big part of drinking around the world at Disney is also SNACKING around the world showcase.

World Showcase offers drinks that are primarily beers and frozen/regular cocktails. There are some wines you can choose, but these are the main types of drinks. If your group has a variety of drinkers in it, some who prefer beer, and some who prefer blended drinks, you will be good to go when planning your Epcot drink around the world crew.

This is what I have done when I have gone drinking around the world at Disney. Some of the group loved beer, some of the group loved cocktails, and some of the group loved everything! This allows you to not waste money in the event that somebody in your group doesn’t like something while drinking around the world at Epcot.

people holding beer glasses together while drinking around the world at epcot

Finally, I caution you against drinking around the world alone or with one other person. Yes, you CAN drink around the world solo or in a duo, but I HIGHLY recommend not getting a drink at every country. It is a LOT of alcohol and the portions are actually quite massive. You don’t want to get drunk during Disney around the world drinking and make a fool out of yourself or get kicked out.

My sister and her boyfriend are huge drinkers and it was even a lot for them and we were in a party of 5. If you don’t want to wait around for a large group to be able to go with you, by all means go with a smaller party, but I do caution you against getting something alcoholic at every country.

The drinks are HUGE in many cases and you will be three sheets to the wind by the time you are halfway through!

Simply look through my list of suggested drinks at Epcot and then go from there on what you like the best. As I mentioned above, there are beers around the world at Epcot, cocktails, some wine, whatever you like.

Finally, I think it would be amazing to drink around the world with 11 friends! This way, each of you can buy one drink and nobody will be out too much money! But, a group of 5-7 people is the average size that people take to Epcot for this activity.

Epcot Drinking Around the World Passport

One of the best ways to have a little fun while getting drinks around the world at Epcot is to keep track of them on a cute drinking around the world passport! These can easily be found for cheap on Etsy and are perfect if your group isn’t into wearing matching t-shirts, which a lot of people aren’t!

This is a great way to keep track of the countries in Epcot you have tried a drink in and also shows other people and cast members what your goal is. I love the idea of passports as you are “traveling” and it is a super cute way of showing off what you have tasted so far!

This Is The Epcot Drink Around The World Passport We Recommend!

What To Wear When Drinking Around The World

First off, make sure you are COMFORTABLE. You’re going to be doing a lot of walking, a lot of eating and drinking, and Disney World is hot most of the year! Make sure you have on comfortable shoes , clothes you can move around in, and be prepared for hot weather and rain.

Next, you are going to want to wear a cute drink around the world T-shirt ! Etsy is filled with them and they are very popular to wear around the park to let others know that you are drinking around the world! I think this is so very cute and there are shirts for people of all styles!

Whether you are going with a gaggle of girls who love all things pretty or are heading out with the guys , there is an Epcot drink around the world shirt for everyone! Also, cast members will know you are drinking around the world and will interact with you more than normal. It is a fun and totally Disney thing to do for adults!

Drink Around The World Final Thoughts:

If you can only choose a few drinks at Epcot, I do recommend the drinks from France, Japan, and Morrocco as these are crowd-pleasers for anyone that I bring to Epcot! Remember to have $100-$120 just for drinks alone, and don’t forget to hydrate with water. You should drink one bottle or cup of water for each drink that you try.

You should also not forget to eat! There are plenty of amazing things to eat at Epcot, and that’s one of the things I love about the World Showcase! Some of my favorites are pizza in Italy, popcorn, pretzels in Germany, and chips and guac in Mexico.

There are plenty of fantastic food and drinks at Epcot and I know that you are going to have a fun time!

First of all, your drink list sucks. Second, you only did one lap? Any asshole with half a liver can drink around the world, legends are born when you do it AT LEAST twice in the same day.

Drinking Around the World at Epcot’s World Showcase in Walt Disney World

Drinking Around the World at Epcot’s World Showcase in Walt Disney World

Drinking Around the World at Epcot's World Showcase in Walt Disney World is a popular activity for adults. The idea is you are literally ‘drinking around the world' as you make your way around the World Showcase trying at least one drink from each country. But prepare yourself, Epcot's World Showcase includes 11 countries so that's a lot of drinks! Most folks make a day of it rather than try to do it all in a short time period.

There's also a bit of a debate of where is the best place to start. Since the World Showcase is essentially a circle you'll make your way around it in order but where do you start? The correct answer is (by popular choice) to start in Mexico and end in Canada. Although you can really start where you want!

How much does it cost to Drink Around the World?

If you add up the total for the popular drinks for each pavilion I list below you get an average total of about $150 with tax. This number could be a little less or more depending on your individual taste but you can expect to set aside at least $100 per person for your Drinking Around the World budget.

Don't forget to budget in your snacks too! It's impossible to Drink Around the World without also tasting all the great food along the way. I would budget on the higher end with $300 per person to account for not just a day of enjoying a drink in every pavilion but snacks and a table service dining reservation along the way.

This would also be a great place to have lunch with your drink so you have a full stomach for your day of drinking. One of my favorite dining spots in Mexico is San Angel Inn Ristorante with a view of the Three Caballeros ride.

But the most popular place to get drinks in Mexico is La Cava del Tequila which will often have long lines throughout the day due to their great margaritas. Even if you decide to dine elsewhere, don't forget to end your adventure with La Cava del Tequila.

Popular drink:  Any of the drinks from La Cava del Tequila! ($16-$22 per drink)

Norway offers some cool theming as you're Drinking Around the World! This is also home to one of the most popular rides in Epcot right now: Frozen Ever After. Take the time to explore, there's a lot of great history hiding in this pavilion.

The main stop for drinks in Norway is the beer cart which offers some authentic Norway beers like Einstök Icelandic White Ale and other Norwegian beers on tap.

Popular Drink:  Troll Kreme at the Norway Beer Cart for $16 (Frozen blend of cranberry and vanilla topped with Bacardi berry rum served in a souvenir cup)

The best place to grab a drink in China is the Joy of Tea kiosk which not only offers a great selection of tea but speciality cocktails. Keep your eyes peeled for any seasonal festival kiosks which tend to always have great drinks.

Popular drink:  Canto Loopy at the Joy of Tea kiosk for $10.50 (vodka and cantaloupe juice)

Germany features a great selection of shops including Weinkeller where you can sample different wine and beers. You can purchase any of the German wines or beer to take home with you making it a great place to take some of that Drinking Around the World spirit home with you.

The beer cart in Germany is also a good choice featuring a wide selection of German beers. But spend some time in the Germany pavilion, the town square theme is picture perfect. And don't forget to grab a bratwurst!

Popular drink: Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen at the Beer and Pretzel Cart for $9.75

Italy is your next stop while Drinking Around the World where you can find something for everyone such as Italian champagne, wine and beer. Enjoy a wine flight with your group at the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar and snack on some small plates like calamari fritti or carpaccio di manzo.

Italy is also a great place to grab dessert especially at the Gelateria Toscana kiosk which features both gelati and a large selection of Italian drinks from Italian margaritas to frozen sangria.

Popular drink:  Any of the wine flights from Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar for $17

The American Adventure (United States)

This is usually a familiar area for most guests that live in the United States but that doesn't mean you still won't find something unique to drink! The Fife & Drum Tavern offers some comfort choices like Bud Light or Samuel Adams but you can also find a speciality drinks at this kiosk like an alcoholic frozen lemonade.

If you're looking for more variety, try the Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue which has the largest selection of beer in the pavilion. You can find beer from all over the USA like IPAs from Florida or wheat ales from Michigan.

Popular drink:  Blue Moon Belgian White Ale at the Fife & Drum Tavern for $8.50

Japan is the place to be to get the best sake in Disney World! You can find a selection of sake at the Kabuki Cafe kiosk near the entrance to the pavilion which also offers sake shaved ice along with non-alcoholic Japanese shaved ice.

There's also great restaurants to enjoy like the Katsura Grill and Teppan Edo which both feature fantastic sushi and a huge variety of sake!

Popular drink:  Sake Mist at the Kabuki Cafe for $9 (alcoholic shaved ice available in blood orange, coconut, pineapple or blueberry)

The popular stop at Morocco is the Spice Road Table where you can enjoy Moroccan and Mediterranean beers along with a fun selection of Mediterranean cocktails. The bar at Spice Road Table offers a ton of variety and seating.

Many guests pass Morocco by but take the time to stroll through it and take in all the details of the land and courtyards.

Popular drink : Moroccan Mule at Spice Road Table for $14 (Figenza fig vodka, ginger beer, agave, and lime)

Our next stop on our tour of Drinking Around the World takes us to the France pavilion which is my personal favorite at Epcot. France offers a wide selection of drinks and food so there's something for everyone in this area.

Les Vins des Chefs de France is a kiosk located right near the front of the land where you can find a variety of regional French wine, champagne and beer. But the real show stopper at this kiosk are the alcoholic slushies.

When it comes to sit down restaurants, the France pavilion has a great option called Chefs de France which serves only French cuisine along with a huge selection of French wines. And if you're in the mood to just grab a snack, try the traditional French bakery called Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie or fill up on some crepes at Crepes des Chefs de France kiosk. Sometimes the kiosk will be swapped out for seasonal Epcot festivals but that will usually result in even more variety on your Drinking Around the World adventure!

Popular drink : Le Grant Slush at Les Vins des Chefs de France for $18 (with a Grand Marnier or Grey Goose citron shot)

United Kingdom

Your next stop in United Kingdom features a themed English bar called the Rose & Crown Pub. This is the best place in United Kingdom to get your drink for your second stop when Drinking Around the World at Epcot. The Rose & Crown Pub offers specialty English cocktails like the Leaping Leprechaun and a great variety of English beers.

If you plan on eating in the United Kingdom, don't forget to grab some fish and chips at the Rose & Crown Pub which also offer a full service bar so you don't need to a reservation if you plan on just grabbing a drink and snack.

Popular drink : the Welsh Dragon at Rose & Crown Pub for $16 (Peach Schnapps, Melon Liqueur, Creme de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple in a souvenir cup)

And finally, you've reached the end of your journey of Drinking Around the World. Over in Canada, the main drink of choice is a selection of seasonal Canadian beers that you can find at the Popcorn Cart. You can also get maple flavored popcorn at this stand too!

There's no quick-service restaurant in Canada but the table service restaurant called Le Cellier Steakhouse is a popular choice for its great food but also its wide selection of Canadian wines and beers. Canada is always the popular first stop choice for Drinking Around the World at Epcot.

Popular drink : Moosehead Draft at the Popcorn Cart for $9.25

Hey Discrew — let’s get ready for an adventure around the World Showcase. If you’re planning your unofficial  “Drink Around the World Tour”  at EPCOT, you’ve come to the right place. I’m here to tell you about the absolute best boozy beverages you can find at my favorite Walt Disney World theme park so you know you’re ordering the best of the best.

So, let’s jump into Perfecting the Magic’s ultimate guide to drinking around the world at EPCOT!

All About Drinking Around EPCOT’s World Showcase

Drink around the world - EPCOT Pavilion

You may be wondering, what is “drinking around the world” at EPCOT? Well, it’s simple! It’s a way of meandering the World Showcase while ordering a drink in each country. You may take it as a challenge and get a beverage at every single country in the World Showcase (that’s 11 in total), or you may pick and choose. No matter what, it’s about having fun and enjoying your time at EPCOT while sipping on international-inspired beverages!

Seasonal Drink in France Pavilion at EPCOT

Remember that every drink on this list is grab-and-go friendly — you won’t need to snag a table-service restaurant reservation or sit down for a full meal to order these beverages. (Let’s be honest, nobody has time for that on a drink-around-the-world quest.) The drinks on this list are also available year-round, so you won’t have to count on any of the EPCOT festivals to enjoy this tour. Of course, feel free to mix in some festival booth picks if you see something you love!

Also, please note that if you plan to drink around the World Showcase, it will be a pricey experience. Most drinks average around $13 each, so your overall cost will add up if you’re buying a beverage in every country. I recommend setting a generous budget (including tax) based on the drinks you know you want to try, plus adding a little more just in case you end up sampling something else. If you want to save some cash, consider sharing drinks with a buddy — you can even bring  this reusable cup  to do so!

Now, let’s dive into our ultimate guide to drinking around the world at EPCOT! These are our favorite beverages in every country in the World Showcase.

Best Drink in EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion

La Fin Du Monde ($11)

Best Drinks Around the World - What to Order at Canada

Whether you start in Canada or Mexico is up to you (though we know most Disney World regulars have strong opinions about this). For this guide, we’ll start in Canada with some deliciously strong beer. It might sound odd, but trust us – head to the popcorn cart. The  Canada pavilion’s popcorn cart  serves a few unique beverages. There’s always the Ottawa Apple ($14), but it’s pretty sweet, so I recommend saving your liquor for elsewhere. Instead, go with the La Fin Du Monde ($11), which is quite a strong beer. If you like Belgian-style beer, this is a great pick.

Best Drink at the United Kingdom Pavilion in EPCOT

Pimm’s Cup ($13)

EPCOT Best Drinks Around The World - The Pimms Cup in England at Rose and Crown

Continuing our world tour, we’re heading to the United Kingdom pavilion. The  Rose & Crown Pub  is EPCOT’s version of a classic UK pup, which we love. Here, you can’t go wrong with a Pimm’s Cup ($13). Light and fruity with hints of cucumber, this one is perfect for a hot park day. It’s relatively weaker on the alcohol side, but it offers an excellent opportunity to take it slow and make room for more potent drinks later on. If you aren’t a Pimm’s fan and want a more robust alcohol flavor, try a Guinness ($10) or the Snake Bite ($10). Both are my go-to’s, depending on the day!

The Best Drinks at EPCOT’s France Pavilion

Grand Marnier Orange Slush ($14.50)

Our Ultimate guide to drinking around the world - the Grand Marnier Slushie at France

The France pavilion is a guest favorite for a reason. It has great attractions, great food, and of course, great drinks. Head to  Les Vins des Chefs de France  and order one of the slushes for $14.50. Seasonal alcoholic slushy drinks are often available throughout the year (the La Vie en Rose slush is an EPCOT icon), but you can try the Orange and Citron versions year-round. You can’t go wrong with either (I’ve had both!), but the Grand Marnier with Orange Slush and Grey Goose was my winner. It will melt fast in the Florida heat, but you’ll want to drink it quickly anyway. Served ice cold with a strong orange flavor and light notes of vodka, this one is majorly delish and worth picking up!

EPCOT’s Best Drinks in Morocco

Moroccan Mule ($15)

View this post on Instagram A post shared by @travelingturnt

Making our way to Morocco, stop at the bar at  Spice Road Table  and order the Moroccan Mule ($15). You may be tempted to write this one off as just a standard mule, but the fig vodka brings something interesting to the party. The drink tastes super unique, and you can definitely taste the fig flavor, which I love! The house-made red sangria ($13) is a solid backup option if you’re craving wine.

The Best Drink at the Japan Pavilion

Violet Sake ($8.50)

Best Drinks Around the World 2022 EPCOT - Japan's Violet Sake

Moving onto another guest-favorite World Showcase pavilion, you’ve reached Japan. No surprise here — the Violet Sake ($8.50) reigns supreme. Find it at the  Kabuki Cafe  outdoor kiosk near Mitsukoshi. This drink is highly Instagram-able and delicious, a touch sweet with notes of pear. The Sake Mist shave ice beverages are also sold here for $10, and while they’re spectacular to look at and great for your social feed, I usually find their flavors to be lackluster. There are better frozen drinks around this pavilion.

The Best Drink at the American Pavilion

Frozen Mint Julep ($15)

The Ultimate Guide to Drinking around the world - the best drink at the American Adventure Pavilion

The American Adventure pavilion will mark the halfway point of your drink-around-the-world challenge. And, unexpectedly, this location has one of my favorite drinks in all of EPCOT! Go to the outdoor bar at the  Regal Eagle Smokehouse  and order the Frozen Mint Julep for $15 — it’s incredible! This frozen twist on the American classic is worth waiting in an outdoor line for. But, if you’re over your personal frozen drink limit for the day, I think the Moonshine Sour is a great alternative. It’s a bit sweet, but still delicious.

The Best Wine Flight at EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion

‘Under a Tuscan Sun’ Wine Flight ($17)

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Everything_disney (@everything_disney1071)

We’ve reached Italy, and it’s time for wine. Head to  Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar  and order the Under a Tuscan Sun wine flight. For $17, this will allow you to sample three Italian wines, including a well-rounded mix of reds with oaky notes and balanced flavor profiles. Tutto Gusto has a great grab-and-go menu and lounge seating, so you can take your wine flight with you as you meander the pavilion or sit a while and rest your feet before you continue your World Showcase tour.

The Best Beer in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion

Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen ($10.25)

What To Get Drinking Around the World - The grapefruit beer in Germany

The Germany pavilion (and Germany IRL) is known for beer, so naturally, we have one to suggest. The grapefruit beer is highly recommended and doesn’t disappoint, and I honestly think non-beer drinkers will love this one! Order the Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen — or simply call it the grapefruit beer — at  Sommerfest  for $10.25. If you’re not into citrus flavors, try the Warsteiner Dunkel ($10.25) for a more classic German beer taste.

The Best Drinks at the China Pavilion

Tipsy Ducks in Love ($13)

View this post on Instagram A post shared by YourBestTeaCC🧋 (@astoldbyumma)

Once you arrive at the China pavilion, it’s time for some sweet and strong drinks! My favorite is the Tipsy Ducks in Love ($13), a chocolaty iced coffee and tea beverage with bourbon. It’s strong, and if you don’t love coffee, this won’t be your thing, but I love it, especially with added boba. An honorable mention is the Honey Hibiscus Iced Tea ($12), which is available with or without alcohol if you need a booze break. Find all of these bevs and more at  Joy of Tea .

What to Drink at EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion

Frozen Viking Coffee ($14)

What Drink Around The World - Norway Area featuring the Viking Coffee

If you’re about ready for a midday (or midnight, depending on when you’re hanging out in EPCOT!) nap, then I’ve got the perfect solution for you. It’s time to caffeinate at the Norway pavilion! Head to the always iconic  Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe . Order the Frozen Viking Coffee ($14), which is, in my opinion, one of the tastiest frozen beverages in the park. It features Bailey’s Irish Cream, coffee liquor, and coffee chocolate crunch flakes on top. I love it! If you or any of your drinking buddies are craving another beer, go with the Aass Nordic Draft Beer ($10.75), a crisp and light pilsner from one of the oldest breweries in Norway. And if you’re taking an alcohol break, the frozen coffee comes non-alcoholic in the form of the Kristoff Kaffe for $5.99!

Best Drinks in EPCOT Norway - The Aass Nordic Draft

The Best Drinks in the Mexico Pavilion

La Cava Avocado ($17)

View this post on Instagram A post shared by L E X 💛 (@thepixietraveler)

Finally, we’ve reached Mexico, and we’re saving the best for last.  La Cava del Tequila  is a must-try location in EPCOT whether you’re drinking around the world or not! My top recommendation here is La Cava Avocado ($17). It’s creamy, buttery smooth, and has a touch of melon flavor, making it one of the most memorable drinks in the park. If you’re in the mood for something spicy, go for the El Diablo ($16), which pairs tequila with cucumber and jalapeño. La Cava del Tequila serves over 200 tequilas and top-shelf cocktails, so you truly can’t go wrong.

Sounds like quite the challenge, doesn’t it?

But, if you’re up for it, today I’m going to walk you through all things alcohol in EPCOT.

Conquering EPCOT and it’s 11 country pavilions can be quite overwhelming without a little bit of planning, and that’s why I’m excited to share this exclusive secret with you!

Your Drinking Around the World Game Plan at Epcot

I’m not going to lie. Drinking around the world in EPCOT is not for the faint of heart.

It costs a bit of money (think anywhere from $8 – $15 per country) and a lot of self-control (I don’t suggest getting through this challenge as quickly as possible).

Between the Florida heat and the long distance you’ll have to walk to make it from Pavilion 1 to Pavilion 11 (about 1.3 miles), it’s a good thing you’re doing your research before attempting this feat!

Epcot Drink Around the World Passport

So, in addition to the EPCOT Drinking Around the World Passport, here are my best tips and tricks to make it even easier !

1. Drink In Order: Show You Start in Canada or Mexico?

As you may or may not already know, EPCOT’s World Showcase is laid out in a circle. That’s why our EPCOT Drinking Around the World Passport displays the countries in the order you’ll come across them.

Canadian Neige Apple Ice Wine Epcot Canada Pavilion. Keep reading for the best Epcot drinking around the world passport ideas!

Depending on your chosen route, when you enter the country showcase, you’ll either encounter Canada first (by taking a right from World Celebration), or Mexico (by taking a left).

The EPCOT Passport lays the countries out in this order so you’ll know exactly what drinks, food, and atmosphere to expect next.

Plus, if you go in the suggested order (checking off your countries from either top to bottom of the passport, or bottom to top) you’ll have the most direct route and the least amount of walking.

And trust me, on a humid day in a packed park, the last thing you want to do is walk more than necessary.

2. Take It Slow

I know, any challenge, including Drinking Around the World, sounds like it should be done in a fast and furious manner. But, to be honest, I would strongly advise against this.

NikkyJ enjoying tequila in Epcot at La Cava Del Tequila

First of all, doing so will hinder your ability to truly enjoy the EPCOT park.   The rides, the entertainment, the shopping…

… you’ll miss out on some of the park’s best hidden gems if you’re merely there just to drink.

Additionally, drinking as fast as you can simply isn’t safe .  Remember, Disney World is targeted towards children, and Disney Cast Members tend to take this seriously.

If they find any adults who are too far under the influence they will take action, and the last thing you want is to be escorted out of EPCOT or listed on a permanent no-park admission list.

3. One Alcoholic Beverage to One Free Glass of Water

I know, this is probably the same advice your mom gave you when you became of legal drinking age, but still, we think it also applies to the EPCOT Drinking Around the World Challenge.

At Disney, or any other theme park for that matter, you are entitled to a free cup of ice water at any eatery or beverage station. Take advantage of this during your Drinking Around the World Challenge!

With every alcoholic drink you order, ask for an ice water as well.   This will keep you hydrated, alert, and energized for your full park day!

4. Bring a Friend

I know that many of you ThemeParkHipsters are strong, independent, solo-adventurers , and we love that!

If you plan on tackling this experience alone, not recommended but all the power to you!

Just make sure you really take your time (one drink and glass of water per hour) and budget (around $145 to complete the whole challenge).

However, if you do plan on going to EPCOT with a friend or family member in the near future, this might be the best time to take on the Drinking Around the World challenge!

Epcot Drink Around the World Passport IPad Display

For starters, you can each alternate the countries you buy drinks at. Now your $145 drink budget just got slashed to $73, not too shabby, huh?

Additionally, you can split the drinks. Instead of feeling intimidated by drinking 11 drinks all by yourself in one day, share them!

Now you’ll only have to drink a total of 5.5 which is a much friendlier number for a long park day.

5. Stop for Food

Of course with all the delicious, culturally diverse food options in EPCOT, I probably don’t have to say much to encourage you to stop for some food or snacks along the way!

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at your home or hotel.  Then, feel free to pack snacks (Disney allows for lunch boxes and non-glass drink bottles at park entry) or stop for food or a small bite every three countries or so.

Your stomach will be grateful!

Planning The Magic

The Ultimate Guide to Epcot’s Drinking Around The World

Epcot’s Drinking Around The World

Epcot is often considered an escape for adult visitors of Disney World. With fewer “kiddie” specific attractions and sparkling castles. Epcot has gained a reputation for being a fan-favorite location among older Disney fans.

One of the most iconic parts of Epcot at Walt Disney World is the World Showcase. Consisting of 11 pavilions featuring food, drink, and attractions from around the world, the World Showcase is on many peoples’ must-see lists for their trip to Disney. But what is the best way to fully enjoy the different pavilions?

There really is no wrong way to experience the pavilions. They will all be fun and interesting whether you see just 1 or all 11. However, many adult Disney-goers recommend doing something called “Drinking Around the World” as a way to do something memorable at each pavilion.

While this is not a Disney official tour of the pavilions, it has been gaining popularity with Disney fans everywhere!

Table of Contents

The Best World Showcase Drinks for each Pavilion

I put these in order of which pavilions you will visit. If you want to start at the Mexico pavilion. You can reverse this list and do it in that order instead!

Canada: Moosehead

What is it? Moosehead is an internationally famous beer from Canada. The lager is smooth, clean, and mild. It is the perfect beer to start off your drinking around the world passport as well as a great beer for a hot Florida day.

epcot drinking around the world passport

Where can I find it? The Popcorn Cart is where you can find a wide selection of beers, including Moosehead! But you can get it just about everywhere.

United Kingdom: Black and Tan

What is it? A Black and Tan is a beer cocktail where you layer a light beer (usually a pale ale) and a darker one (usually a stout). England has been mixing beers together from as far back as the 17th century!

Where can I find it? The Rose & Crown Pub is a full-service bar. It is designed to look like a traditional English Pub!

France: Grand Marnier and Grey Goose Orange Slush

What is it?  A slushie made of Grand Marnier (French orange liqueur), Rum, Grey Goose (French vodka), and orange juice. It is a little on the pricier side and is not as alcoholic as it sounds. It is fresh and delicious!

Where can I find it? Les Vins des Chefs de France

Other Notes: Of course, you can also get good wine in France. But as I am not a wine connoisseur, I am not going to try to pick a wine for you!

Morocco: Spice Road Signature Sangria

What is it? While not traditionally Moroccan, sangria is a drink that originates from Spain and Portugal, which were some of the early European presences in Morocco. The drink basically consists of red wine with chopped fruit. In many places (including the Moroccan pavilion), other spirits or ingredients are added as well.

Where can I find it? Spice Road Table.

Other notes: there isn’t any seating at the Spice Road Table, but it is a full-service bar and can get you essentially anything you want.

Japan: Hot Sake

What is it? Hot sake is a personal favorite of mine. For people who don’t know what sake is or why you would drink it hot, I’m going to provide a quick explanation. Sake is essentially a clear wine made out of rice. It can be drunk hot or cold, but typically, it will taste better warm unless it is a higher-quality sake. For people who have never drunk it before, drinking the sake warm makes it a smooth and easy swallow.

Where can I find it? There is a sake bar near the back of the pavilion that has several varieties available.

Other Notes: while there are some interesting cocktails that can be found at the Japan pavilion, many of them are not necessarily “unique” to Japan. Meanwhile, sake is a drink that has been around for over a thousand years!

Keep in mind that sake has about a 15% ABV, so it is one of the stronger drinks on this list. If you want something lighter, the Japanese pavilion also has some good beer varieties (pro tip: the frozen one is not for everyone)

I also can vouch for the plum wine. The Plum Wine is sweeter than regular wine with a light taste and is another great option if you are uninterested in sake.

United States: Craft Beer!!

What is it? Craft beers are typically made in smaller batches than the big-name brands of beer and can be found in every corner of the USA. These breweries care more about flavor and quality than mass production.

For a long time, the American pavilion had slim pickings for alcohol of any kind but now they offer a much wider selection… If you are a beer drinker, you probably know what kinds of beer you like already so can tread these waters on your own.

Where can I get it? Block & Hans is a small kiosk that has a rotating menu of craft beers available. The other drink location in America is Regal Eagle Smokehouse and Craft Drafts has a walk-up drink window including some hard ciders and Tennessee Lemonade!

Other notes: You are now a little over halfway through your drinking around the world passport and have probably been drinking for several hours. This is a reminder to make sure you have been drinking water and eating. The jalapeno-and-cheese stuffed pretzel at Block & Hans is pretty tasty!

Italy: Wine!

You can’t go wrong with a nice wine or champagne from the Italy pavilion. Like I mentioned before with the French pavilion, I am not a wine connoisseur and so do not want to make a choice for you (although many people will recommend the Rose Regale). But I can recommend the cannoli for dessert!

Where should I go? A quieter place (relatively) in the Italian pavilion is the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar and it also offers a delicious selection of small plates.

Germany: Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen

What is it? (Besides a mouthful) This is a German wheat beer with grapefruit juice. The beer is sweet and malty.

Where do I get it? Biergarten!

Other Notes: Tired of beer? The Bärenjäger Honey & Bourbon is a honey liquor that is a good choice as well.

If you want even more beer, you can get flights at the German pavilion as well to try a few!

China: Dragon Butterfly

What is it? The Dragon Butterfly is a cocktail made from Butterfly Pea Flower Gin, Vodka, Green Tea, Lemonade, Soda Water, Hibiscus, and Dragon Fruit Syrups, with Blueberry Popping Boba! Like with a lot of the cocktails on the drinking around the world passport, it is not necessarily “traditionally” Chinese, but it is still super yummy!

Where do I get it? Joy of Tea

Other Notes: there are a lot of really fun cocktails in China. The Tsing Tao beer is also good but pales in comparison to the fun cocktails found in China.

Norway: Viking Coffee

What is it? This was probably my favorite drink of all the drinks.

From Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion. If it’s cold outside, you might enjoy the original Viking Coffee made with hot coffee, Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur, and Kamora Coffee Liqueur. It pairs perfectly with a traditional Norwegian Kringla or a sweet School Bread filled with custard and dipped in coconut.

beer tour disney world

However, if it’s hot outside, you might want to try the frozen version of the Viking Coffee. It’s topped with a delicious coffee-chocolate sauce and coffee-chocolate crunch.

Where can I get it? Kringla Bakeri og Kafe

Mexico: Margarita (or Tequila) time!

To celebrate finishing off your drinking around the world at Epcot Passport, treat yourself to a margarita made or a shot of one of the over 200 tequilas available at the Mexican pavilion. If you still feel like a beer, Dos Equis is always a great choice.

But I went with the Michelada and do not regret it. In Mexico, a popular drink known as michelada is often made by combining beer with lime juice, along with an assortment of sauces, spices, and chili peppers.

beer tour disney world

Where can I get it? La Cava de Tequila is (unsurprisingly) the place to go for Tequila. You can also get margaritas there or head over to Choza de Margarita for more options. Dos Equis can be found at La Cantina de San Angel.

What is Drinking Around the World at Epcot?

“Drinking Around the World” is a popular way for adults to experience the world showcase at Epcot. At each pavilion, you get a drink (and sometimes a snack) that is unique to that country or pavilion. It is a fun way to experience the 11 different pavilions in a more “adult” way.

Many adults get themselves a “passport” for drinking around the world at Epcot to commemorate visiting the different pavilions. I will go into more detail about the passports a little later.

While this is called Epcot’s drinking around the world . It is important to eat around the world too. Drinking alcoholic drinks from nearly a dozen countries over the course of one day is a good way to get sick and a hangover if you don’t eat food at many of the pavilions and drink water as well!

Who should you Drink around the World with?

Anyone! While this can be done by yourself, it can always be more fun to have a drinking buddy with you, and having friends with you can help you all stay responsible on your journey. “Epcot’s Drinking Around the World” was invented for adults of drinking age.

However, nothing stops you from bringing underage or non-drinking friends with you, as the pavilions have mocktails or non-alcoholic beverage options!

If you don’t have friends who want to drink around the world with you, there are unofficial groups like the Bay Lake Society , which is a group of people who like to plan more leisurely trips to Disney World, or various Facebook groups that you can join to organize drinking around the world with new friends!

How much does it cost to drink around the world in Epcot?

The cost of drinking around the world varies greatly depending on what drinks you get and how many of them.

The average cost of getting one drink at each of the pavilions falls somewhere between $100-$120. Alcoholic beverages at the pavilions usually fall within the price range of $8-$15.

Non-alcoholic drinks are often cheaper, which can bring the overall price down, and, obviously, not visiting every pavilion will also bring down the cost.

It is also important to remember that you need to factor in desserts or snacks at the pavilions as well. While it is not required to get one at every pavilion, it is really important to stay well-fed and hydrated (with water!) on this journey to avoid over-drinking.

In order to not spend a fortune on this adventure,  I highly recommend that you share drinks with your friends. That way, everyone can try a lot of drinks to fill out their Epcot’s drinking around the World passport without everyone needing to buy a drink individually.

You can also have the members of your group take turns buying drinks (if you are sharing) so that the cost is more evenly split between your friend group.

A lot of people recommend starting at the Mexico pavilion and ending in Canada. However, some of the best drinks on the route, in my opinion, are in France, Morocco, and Japan, and starting in Mexico probably means that you are starting with a large drink of tequila.

Tequila is delicious but highly alcoholic , and you might not fully be able to enjoy the drinks further down the trail if you are starting off with such a hard drink.

Instead, starting your drinking around-the-world journey in Canada lets you start off with a lighter drink like beer or wine, which is a much better way to ease yourself into drinking all day than tequila.

From here, you should head to the UK, where you will treat yourself to another beer, keeping your drinks on the lighter side to save room for the drinks in Japan, Morocco, and France!

What to bring!

Like every trip to Disney, you want to ensure you have a bag with water, sunscreen, your wallet/ticket, and any other important items you want or need (like your Epcot’s Drinking Around the World passport). To find the perfect bag to carry around all of your Disney essentials, check out the best backpack for Disney World.

When you are drinking around the world, I cannot stress how important it is to make sure you have plenty of water with you and to eat along the way!

Anyone who is a seasoned drinker is already aware of the importance of water and food in avoiding the dreaded hangover, but people who don’t regularly drink or who are only casual drinkers may be thrown off guard by how buzzed you will end up getting with just one drink from each pavilion.

If you keep food in your stomach and drink water in between the pavilions, you will avoid getting embarrassingly drunk and risking a hangover.

What to wear

While you can wear anything that suits your fancy, it is always more fun to wear a custom t-shirt to coordinate with friends and take fun group photos.

There are tons of shirts available from Amazon or Etsy that can show the world you are on a mission to drink around the world!

Epcot’s Drinking Around the World Shirts

Getting a shirt for drinking around the world at Epcot is a cute and fun way to remember the experience for years to come! If you are a regular at Disney World and Epcot, differentiating between the many different trips you have taken to Epcot can be difficult to do in photos.

Getting a special, commemorative “Drinking around the World” at Epcot shirt to wear in your selfies and group shots can ensure that you never have to wonder, “is this picture from when I drank around the world?”

Here I chose a couple of examples of fun Epcot’s Drinking Around the World shirts from Amazon.

DRINK, DRANK, DRUNK

What I love about this shirt is the Disney font combined with the fun phrase. It is simple, effective, and a fun way to commemorate the day! It also comes in 5 different colors and is reasonably priced.

Drink around the World

This design is great because it features iconic buildings from the countries featured in the pavilions. Unlike the sort of cheeky phrase on the other shirt, this one is more straightforward with the phrase “Drink Around the World.” The circular design is also reminiscent of the silhouette of the famous Spaceship Earth. It also comes in five different colors!

For more unofficial Disney shirts to wear on your trip to Disney World, check out my post, 24 of the Best Family Disney Shirts .

Epcot’s Drinking Around the World Passport

I have mentioned the Epcot’s Drinking Around the World Passport a few times. This is another unofficial Disney item that a lot of people use to remember their alcoholic trips around the world.

They usually take the form of a lanyard with a pen of some sort and spots to check off which countries you visited and write what drink you had at that country’s pavilion.

The Epcot Drink Around the World Passport is a fun way to explore the different cultures and cuisines of various countries.

The passport is a booklet that lists all the different drinks available in each of the 11 countries featured in Epcot’s World Showcase. When you purchase the passport, you’ll receive a stamp for each drink you try. As well as a description of the drink and the country it represents. The passport is a great way to keep track of what you’ve tried and what you want to try next.

The drinks on offer in each country range from traditional beers and wines to unique cocktails and mocktails that are exclusive to Epcot. For example, in Mexico, you can try the classic margarita or a spicy jalapeño margarita. In Norway, you can opt for a traditional Viking coffee or a sweet and fruity Viking’s Treasure.

The passport is a fun way to challenge yourself to try new drinks and step out of your comfort zone. You may discover a new favorite, or at the very least, some interesting flavor combinations you’ve never tried before.

One of the best things about the Epcot Drink Around the World Passport is that it’s a great way to experience the different cultures represented in Epcot’s World Showcase.

From the architecture to the costumes worn by the cast members, each country is full of unique details. It make it feel like you’re really there.

Overall, the Epcot Drink Around the World Passport is a fun and unique way to experience the different cultures and cuisines of the world in a single day.

Here is an example of one such Drinking Around the World passport.

beer tour disney world

The one above is from Sansone Stationary and is reasonably priced. It also lets you personalize it a little with your name and whether it is a Mickey or Minnie silhouette.

Pretty much all styles of drinking around the world passport look like the one above. Most of the time, the differences are in designs, such as the font or images, rather than style.

I chose the one above because it is colorful and fun with all of the flags. However, you definitely can look around to find one that fits your style or even make your own!

Final Notes:

I will give one last reminder to drink plenty of water and eat food while on your Drinking Around the World at Epcot journey. I cannot stress enough that you will end up a little more than buzzed (and a little sick) if you forget to hydrate and eat.

This is even more important because Florida is hot, and you will more than likely be sweaty if you are not acclimated to the climate, which will dehydrate you even faster than drinking normally does.

To find some places to eat at Epcot, check out my ranking of the restaurants in Epcot! (link to post about Epcot Restaurants)

The Ultimate Guide to Drinking Around the World at Epcot

beer tour disney world

Greetings, world travelers! One of the most infamous activities associated with World Showcase is ‘drinking around the world’. Whether you’re looking to sip your way around all of the pavilions in one day, or you want to work at a more leisurely pace throughout your trip, we have the ultimate guide to our favorite drink spots, cocktails, and hidden gems of Epcot!

beer tour disney world

One of the best spots to grab a drink in Mexico is at La Cava del Tequila . As you enter the pyramid, keep to the right and you’ll notice a small lounge nestled in the corner, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the indoor market place.

beer tour disney world

La Cava del Tequila has a huge drink menu of over 120 different types of tequila for you to sample, including many different margarita options. This is also a great indoor spot to escape the Florida heat! Seating is first come, first serve, so be sure to plan accordingly!

beer tour disney world

If you are looking for a drink to grab quickly and sip on as you explore World Showcase, Choza de Margarita might be the perfect spot for you. This outdoor kiosk serves, of course, margaritas, in addition to Mexican beer and even some small plates to munch on.

Unlike Mexico, Norway doesn’t have a designated bar or lounge for grabbing an adult beverage. But do not despair! Every country has at least one spot outside of their table service restaurants where you can find alcoholic beverages.

beer tour disney world

In Norway, you can find drinks at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe . In addition to their yummy School Bread, this counter service dining location is where you can find a selection of Norwegian beers as well as some specialty cocktails .

Moving on now to the China Pavilion! You’ll want to visit the Joy of Tea for your next stop around World Showcase if you’re on the hunt for signature sips.

beer tour disney world

There are several specialty cocktails to try at this outdoor kiosk. One of our favorites is the Tipsy Ducks in Love, which is made with Bourbon Whisky, coffee, black tea, cream, and chocolate syrup! You can also pick up a couple of egg rolls at Joy of Tea to put some much-needed food in your stomach.

If you visit the Germany Pavilion and didn’t try a German beer, were you even there!? That said, despite Germany having a clear ‘iconic’ beverage of choice, there aren’t any hot spots like La Cava del Tequila in Mexico or Rose and Crown Pub in the United Kingdom.

beer tour disney world

You could head to Sommerfest , the pavilion’s resident Counter Service dining location, for a selection of beers that you can purchase in a souvenir stein . There are also beer carts on the outskirts of the pavilion where you can purchase beer. Be sure to pair it with a pretzel!

Our next stop in World Showcase shouldn’t disappoint when it comes to finding a beverage to enjoy! The Italy Pavilion is many a world traveler’s favorite spots in Epcot.

beer tour disney world

Stop by Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar for a relaxing break and indulge in some Italian wine, beer, and cocktails as well as small plates .

beer tour disney world

If time is short and you’re looking for a more on-the-go option, Italy Donkey also features a menu full of specialty cocktails and wine .

Italy is a great spot to stop and mention the World Showcase Wine Walk!

beer tour disney world

The Wine Walk includes a pass to bring to the Germany, Italy, and France pavilions, where you can take part in your own wine tasting of beverages from various locations in those countries. This is a great option if you are looking to enjoy international wine at a more relaxed pace. Be warned that the Wine Walk has not returned since the 2020 closure, but we hope it comes back soon.

The American Adventure

We’ve reached the mid-way point of our tour around World Showcase with our arrival at The American Adventure! We’re taking this opportunity to give a shout out to the newest dining location in World Showcase as of this writing, Regal Eagle Smokehouse !

beer tour disney world

Regal Eagle opened in February of 2020 and features a menu full of tasty barbecue sandwiches, salads, and sides. It’s also a great spot to grab a drink!

beer tour disney world

Drinks at Regal Eagle include beers, wine, cider, and cocktails including the Moonshine Cocktail and Tennessee Lemonade. Located right in the center of World Showcase, this is a great mid-way break to sit back and watch the other world travelers stroll by.

beer tour disney world

Looking for more drink options in The American Adventure? Block and Hans is a great option for a quick pit-stop right along the main walking path in World Showcase, and features a menu of American beers and ciders.

The Japan Pavilion has so much to offer! From standout restaurants like Takumi-Tei and Teppan Edo to some of the most unique shopping in all of Disney World, you could easily spend hours in this one pavilion!

beer tour disney world

If you’re looking for signature Japanese beverages, look no further than Kabuki Cafe ! Located right as you enter the pavilion by way of The American Adventure, Kabuki Cafe has hot and cold sake, as well as Japanese beers and plum wine .

beer tour disney world

If you’re looking for more elaborate specialty cocktails, Garden House has a variety to choose from, in addition to traditional beverages such as beer, wine, and sake .

The next country in our trip around the world is Morocco! This is a truly beautiful pavilion that you’ll want to carve out some time to explore!

Morocco Plaza

Tangierine Cafe , a counter service dining location in the Morocco Pavilion, has a selection of wine, beer, and cocktails to choose from, including mimosas and daiquiris.

Epcot Morocco Mirror

The Juice Bar has another menu filled with a variety of drinks to choose from. Sip on the Sultan’s Colada, which is a mix of rum, pineapple/coconut juice and almond liqueur, or go for the Moroccarita, which is served with vodka, lemon/lime juice, and Triple Sec. Or opt for traditional beer or wine. Regardless of what you choose, the Morocco Pavilion might just become your new favorite spot in World Showcase!

The France Pavilion is another hot spot when it comes to alcoholic beverages. Whether you’re looking for a classic glass of champagne to sip on as you window shop throughout the pavilion, or you want to truly indulge on an Ice Cream Martini at L’Artisan des Glaces .

beer tour disney world

Let’s elaborate for a moment on the Ice Cream Martini, which is a unique item to grab on your trip around the world if you’re looking for the one-of-a-kind beverages in each country. This item features two scoops of your ice cream of choice, with a shot of either Grand Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka, or Rum.

beer tour disney world

If you’re looking for something a little less heavy than ice cream, the France Pavilion has many other options. Stop by Les Vins des Chefs de France for a wide selection of wines, champagne, and alcoholic slushes !

United Kingdom

Much like La Cava del Tequila is a true gem and popular drink spot in the Mexico Pavilion, such is the Rose & Crown Pub in the UK Pavilion. Always bustling with activity, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a spot at the bar most days. Note that we’re talking about the PUB, not the restaurant!

beer tour disney world

If the pub is crowded indoors, there’s an outdoor kiosk called the Rose and Crown Beer Garden that you can order drinks from and sit at the many tables they have along the lagoon.

Our final stop around World Showcase is Canada! And while we don’t want to end our tour on a lesser note, but after the knockout hit in the United Kingdom Pavilion, Canada rounds out World Showcase more like a lamb and less like a lion when it comes to drinks!

beer tour disney world

One bright spot in the Canada Pavilion is the Joffrey’s Coffee and Pastry cart ! Specialty cocktails often make an appearance regularly at this cart, including during the many Epcot festivals!

beer tour disney world

And if you happen to be in World Showcase during one of Epcot’s many festivals, you’re in for even MORE options when it comes to tasty beverages!

beer tour disney world

The many food booths set up around World Showcase Lagoon have special beers, wine, and cocktails that are only available during these festivals. The smaller serving sizes mean you’re able to sample even more drinks at a fraction of the cost!

beer tour disney world

For just an idea of what the Epcot festivals offer, check out the 2022 Flower and Garden Outdoor Kitchen Menus!

And that will be it for our tour around World Showcase! Enjoy all that these countries have to offer responsibly, and report back to us what your favorite stop along the way was!

5 Replies to “The Ultimate Guide to Drinking Around the World at Epcot”

The “drinking around the world” crowd ruined my last trip to Epcot. I’ve never seen so many drunk, belligerent people in my life outside a college bar.

As Florida residents, we enjoyed drinking around the world as pre COVID passholders. Nowadays, the spontaneity of visiting the park is gone, so we no longer have APs. Instead, we devised a game of “drinking around the resorts.” We started with a late breakfast at Bomas, then drove and parked at Disney Springs. We took a bus to the Contemporary and drank around the monorail resort loop. At Magic Kingdom, we took a bus to Boardwalk, then drank around the the Epcot resort loop, including the Swan & Dolphin. We were about to get on the Skyliner to drink at those resorts, but a thunderstorm shut it down temporarily. We bussed back to Disney Springs and walked around until we were able to drive back to our resort at Bonnet Creek. We want to attempt this again and complete the Skyliner loop. It also made us think about a drink around Disney Springs day!

I *always* suggest people start in Canada instead of Mexico. It’s too easy to stay way too long when starting off in Mexico with tequila and margaritas all over the place. Starting in Canada means you have a better shot of making it all the way around.

Nothing beats a glass of champagne in France!

For Canada I would go with the popcorn cart for some nice Unibroue beers.

Epcot Drinking Around the World Cost Guide

by Chad Kennedy | Published on Feb 25, 2019 | Last updated Dec 13, 2023 | Dining , Epcot , Parks , Trip Planning

The Epcot Drinking Around the World Cost Guide

Epcot is arguably Disney’s best park for adults, featuring futuristic rides, cultural themes and many, many places to eat and drink. Until the last few years, Epcot was the only park on Walt Disney World property to serve beer, wine and alcoholic beverages. Because of this, Drinking Around the World became a popular feat for bachelor and bachelorette parties, 21 st birthday parties, anniversaries, and every excuse to party in between.

To accomplish Drinking Around the World, you enter Epcot’s World Showcase, and go right to Canada or go left to Mexico, and then proceed to drink an alcoholic beverage from each of the 11 countries in the World Showcase in one day. You may be wondering how much this will end up costing? We’ve listed the cost of Drinking Around the World with a lowest to highest structure starting with your first step into the park.

Also, we recommend that you take a look at our list of 60 Things You Must Do in the World Showcase and our Insider’s Guide to Epcot Dining . They’re both great side-by-side resources when you’re looking for things to do & eat while you’re drinking around the world.

Before You Enter the Park

Before you even set foot into the park, you must consider everything you’ll need for the day; the most expensive being your park ticket. Epcot has seasons of fluctuating crowds, therefore the 1-Day ticket pricing can vary by date with a low cost of $109 and a high cost of $154 before tax.

Most groups like to wear matching shirts or Mickey ears, among other things. Mickey hats tend to cost an average of $29.99 and about $34.99 for the headbands. If you go the matching shirt route and look for something custom, generally you’ll pay around $25 per t-shirt. For any other gear you may need, we have a full recommended gear guide for Disney World in general .

Definitely bring a pair of comfortable shoes ( we have recommendations for those specifically , if you need them).

Parking fees for Epcot will vary with the highest price at $50 for preferred parking. RVs, campers & other large vehicles will be $30, followed by $25 for regular parking. Carpooling is one option to lessen the cost per person. Resort guests will diminish the cost altogether using the free transportation via bus or boat.

Drinking Around the World

Before we start, it’s absolutely worth mentioning that we believe 100% in responsible drinking. Make sure you’re legally allowed to consume a safe amount of alcohol. You can always share drinks with friends or skip countries. There are quite a few countries and Epcot is huge , so don’t push your limits.

Now that our obligatory disclaimer is out of the way, let’s get into the guide.

We’re a little backwards and prefer the counter-clockwise entrance to the World Showcase. Canada is better during the daytime and pretty tame, while Mexico (the last pavilion) will be a wild good time. Best to start with the tame pavilion first, in our opinion.

Canada is recognized for it’s outdoorsy lifestyle and delicious North American food. Here you’ll find Native American artwork and themed merchandise, along with hockey gear, racoon hats and more. We suggest seeing O Canada!, in the pavilion’s signature movie theater, to get a little taste of the Great White North before you begin your journey.

Popcorn in Canada

This is the only quick service stand found in Canada and it’s easy to miss, located by the walkway entrance to Le Cellier. Your nose will find it first by the wafting smell of the Maple Popcorn.

Moosehead Lager Draft, $10 – Regarded as Canada’s premium lager, this golden brew is made with 100% Canadian barley malt and pure Spruce Lake water.

Ottawa Apple, $14.50 – A bright red cocktail made with Crown Royale Maple Whisky, Apple Infusion and Cranberry Juice.

Trading Post

Another great option in Canada is the Trading Post, which is actually a shop but one side serves drinks. It’s up the steps where you see the totem pole. You can find the usual Canadian beers here, like Popcorn in Canada but our top recommendation is the Icewine Flight to share with friends.

Labatt Blue Pilsner Draft, $9.00 – Claims to be the world’s best selling Canadian beer. A subtly sweet light pilsner.

Blanche de Chambly Draft, $15.50 – This draft with notably sweet and spicy flavors may be the highest price only because of the Souvenir Stein, but who doesn’t want a Souvenir Stein?

Canada Blanche de Chambly

Icewine Flight $21 – This flight includes an upscale combo of Neige Apple, Inniskillin Vidal, and La Fleur D’or Sauternes icewines.

If you’re looking for a guide to the park’s restaurants, check out our list of The 13 Best Epcot Restaurants for Adults . Le Cellier is a solid contender in the top few spots.

United Kingdom

The UK Pavilion combines the charm of each country in the British Isles, including England, Ireland and Scotland. Beer is the star once again in this pavilion, where you can jam with British Invasion cover bands and dine on fish & chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop.

The UK Beer Cart

Despite the name, UK Beer Cart only offers three beer choices – Harp Lager Draft , Bombardier Amber Draft (both are $11.25) and Magners Pear Cider for $9.75 . If you want the full UK pub experience, head inside to the Rose & Crown’s bar for better selections.

Rose & Crown PUB

Reservations are needed to dine at the Rose & Crown but anyone is welcome to enter the Pub to order drafts and cocktails. It tends to be a bit crowded, but the excitement of bustling people create the idyllic British Pub setting.

Half & Half Imperial Pint, $10.50 – Make your traditional British blend a little bit fancier with a Souvenir Cup for $5 more.

United Kingdom Half & Half Imperial Pint

Leaping Leprechaun, $14.50 – You may find yourself doing a little jig before the night’s over after tasting this cocktail of Jameson, Don Q Cristal Rum, SVEDKA, Melon Liquer, Sweet-and-sour mix topped with Sprite

Johnnie Walker Blue or The Macallan 18yr, $40.50 – Go for the gold with a 2 oz. pour from one of these classic scotch whiskies.

The Eiffel Tower can be seen as you walk across the bridge to the next pavilion. In France, you have a plethora of choices for food and drink. Sip on a glass of wine while watching Impressions de France, applauding street performers or heading to back for the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride. If you feel like having a nicer meal, France is easily one of our top choices in our guide to the best Epcot restaurants for adults .

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Find your way toward the back left side of the pavilion to locate this refreshing quick service eatery with air conditioned seating. They serve many delicious entrees and desserts, as well as a variety of drinks.

Chardonnay, $7.75 – This white wine varies from time to time as it’s the Chef’s selection Duboeuf.

Frose, $14.25 – A charming frozen blend of Cotes de Provence Rose, house vodka and peach flavor.

Champagne, $19.95 – The Nicolas Feuillate is a nice, crisp, welcome refreshment.

Les Vins des Chefs de France

Les Vins des Chefs de France is not in any way attached to the Chefs de France restaurant but across from it by the water of World Showcase Lagoon. Here, you can find everything from wine and beer to frozen drinks for a fair price. Our number one favorite is the Orange Slush.

Beaujolais Duboef, $9.95 – One of several French regional red wines.

Orange Slush, $14.75 – This sweet frozen drink is made with Grand Marnier Rum, Grey Goose Orange and orange juice. A refreshing choice in the heat of summer.

Orange Slush France

Kir Royale, $20.95 – Take your champagne up a notch with a dose of blackberry liquor.

Unlike the first three pavilions, Morocco is where you finally feel like you’ve stepped into “A Whole New World.” Meet Aladdin or Jasmine and take in the traditional architecture inspired by historic Moroccan landmarks. You can also get great snacks and small plates here – check out Spice Road Table or Tangierine Cafe for some great refreshments.

Morocco Juice Bar / Oasis Sips & Sweets

Located along the walkway toward the end of the pavilion. This little hole in the wall stand serves delicious Mediterranean pastries like baklava and almond briwat alongside alcoholic beverages from multiple countries in the Middle East.

Mediterranean Beer, $10.25 – $12.75 – The selection will vary from visit to visit, ranging from light to amber beers.

Spice Road Table

Enjoy a relaxed table service restaurant on the water of World Showcase Lagoon or swing by the bar to grab drinks and head out. If you choose to relax, try one of the many small plates or Mediterranean specialty entrees.

Pomegranate Mimosa, $13.50 – A refreshing blend of Pomegranate Juice, Sparkling Wine and Orange Liqueur.

Iced Mint Tea $14.50 – Morocco’s spin on their classic welcome drink is topped with Bombay Sapphire Gin.

Morocco Iced Mint Tea

Magical Beacon Cocktail, $17.50 – This delicious drink comes with a souvenir glow cube. It’s a blend of Empress 1908 Gin, Bols Blue Curacao, lemonade, almond and Hibiscus Grenadine.

Transport yourself in minutes to the Orient where you’ll find many great places to drink and buy Kawaii merchandise you can’t live without. While here you might be treated to the sounds of the Matsuriza traditional Japanese drummers. Japan has four quick service stops, with two listed here for your Drinking Around the World tour.

Kabuki Cafe

This little stand in on the walkway right in front of the large pagoda. This generally the quickest and easiest place to get a drink in Japan, but we recommend heading farther into the pavilion to get the full Japanese experience.

Plum Wine, $8 – This sweet and sour drink is made with Japanese plums, shochu and sugar.

Kirin Ichiban Draft, $9.00 – You also have the option to kick your Kirin Ichiban up a notch and order it frozen.

Japan Kirin Ichiban Draft

Nigori Sake, $9.50 – Cloudy in appearance, the rice liquor is unfiltered and mild in flavor.

Garden House Sake Bar

If you’ve been eager to try drinks unique to each country, sample traditional Japanese sake in this little bar found toward the back of the pavilion. Head into the Cute Culture exhibit past the bridge after ordering your sake here.

Hana Fuga, $9 – Peach flavored sparkling sake.

Murai Nigori, $10 – Unfiltered sake with an earthy taste.

Dassai, $12 – Traditional sake made by one of the most popular breweries in Japan.

You can also find some incredible merchandise inside the Japan Pavilion’s Mitsukoshi Department Store. Check out our full guide to the coolest things to buy at Mitsokoshu for some tips .

The American Adventure

Congratulations, you’re halfway around the World Showcase! The American Adventure is the center pavilion, featuring funnel cakes, turkey legs and frequent stage performances at the American Gardens Amphitheatre throughout the year. If you have time, listen to the glorious acapella singing of the Voices of Liberty inside the capital building.

Block & Hans

This quick service station is located in a little white stand on the main walkway. Throughout the year, they promote different American craft beers from around the United States.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, $11.25 – You’ll find this favorite carried for most of the year.

Cider Boys Strawberry Magic Hard Cider, $12.25 – The perfect beer for drinking in the hot Florida sun.

Fife & Drum Tavern

Right down the path from Block & Hans is this quick service counter with a few liquor options, if you’re looking to veer from the beer.

Bud Light, $9.25 – Tastes like freedom.

Yuengling, $9.75 – This is the ultimate American beer; it’s brewery was established in the U.S. back in 1829.

Frozen Red Stag Lemonade, $15 – Your childhood favorite frozen lemonade, made for adults with Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon.

American Adventure Frozen Red Stag Lemonade

*Pro Tip: You can also get the Revolutionary War experience by ordering a round of Jack Daniels’ from the Regal Eagle outdoor bar.

One of the most beautiful pavilions in Epcot is Italy. As you approach St. Mark’s Campanile, take in the smells of fresh pizza, red wine and Italian perfumes before ordering the next round. You can also walk out over the water on the gorgeous Italian piazza.

Gelateria Toscana

Don’t make the mistake of passing up this little kiosk on the far side of the pavilion. Gelato is served in every which way alongside delicious creative beverages.

Chianti, $10.50 – A classic Italian red to sustain your buzz.

Italy Chianti Red Wine

Bellini, $11 – Enjoy the sweet blend of peach puree and Prosecco.

Italian Margarita, $14 – An Italian twist on a Mexican favorite. This is a frozen blend of Limoncello, Tequila and Margarita mix.

Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar

Possibly the coolest hidden lounge (aside from Mexico) is located behind Italy’s main restaurant Tutto Italia Ristorante. No reservations required for this hidden gem which serves small plates and pastas. Order from the lounge bar for quicker service. The menu changes frequently, so at different points you can order craft cocktails, prosecco, beer and wine.

Under a Tuscan Sun Flight, $17 – This fun flight is currently one of three flights offered at the lounge. It includes Chianti Terre di Bacco 2018, Tageto Donna Olimpia 2016, and Tre Brancaia 2015.

Another beer-loving pavilion! But this time, do as the Germans do. Visit the Christmas Shop, buy a teddy bear, then celebrate the culture with intense smells of fresh pretzels and bratwurst among beautifully painted buildings. The polka music played throughout the pavilion will certainly get you into the party mood if you’re not already feeling it.

Located behind the fountain, just before Biergarten, and well worth a visit. The frankfurters and bratwurst with sauerkraut are an excellent treat for yourself or to share with friends.

Warsteiner Dunkel, $10.75 – A popular dark amber beer with a smooth roasted malt taste.

August Kessler Pinot Noir Spatburgunder, $13 – Wine lovers will appreciate this German take on a pinot noir featuring notes of cherry and black currant.

Shofferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen, $15.75 – This fun grapefruity beer comes with a sturdy souvenir mug.

Germany Shofferhoffer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen

This special little shop is toward the back of the pavilion and features walls upon walls of German specialty wines and liquor. One of our favorites to take home is the fig flavored Klein’s Feigling.

Grafen Neipperg Lemberger, $8 – This red wine is an original from Wurttemberg, Germany and has a rich, fruity flavor.

Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium Kabinett, $10 – This is a white wine from Moser, Germany with tree fruit flavors.

Schonauer Apfel Liquer, $12 – This is the first liquer on our list for your day – sip slowly!

Seeing the beautifully ornate architecture of China is well worth the long walk from the Germany pavilion. Catch an acrobat show, meet Mulan or watch Reflections of China in the Temple of Heaven while savoring your ninth drink of the day. It’s likely to be dark by the time you reach China, so the pavilion lights will begin to illuminate the park.

Lotus Blossom Cafe

This quick service stand serves pot stickers, orange chicken, fried rice, beef noodles and egg rolls with authentic Chinese flair. You can find it tucked behind Nine Dragons Restaurant.

Plum Wine, $7 – If you didn’t have the plum wine in Japan, now’s your chance. It’s actually cheaper in China.

Foo Draft Beer, $9.25 – Another pale lager option, this time imported from Suntory, China.

At the front of the pavilion you’ll find this quaint cart full of flavorful teas, cocktails and egg rolls. The cart sits alongside other curious carts filled with umbrellas, Chinese puppets and other cute toys.

Dragon Blossom Draft, $9.25 – A combination of pilsner topped with Orange Blossom Honey and Green Tea.

Kung Fu Punch, $11 – Another great tea drink, made with Vodka, Triple Sec, Mango and Orange Juice.

China Kung Fu Punch

For a real treat, try the Tipsy Ducks in Love $13 made with Bourbon Whisky, Coffee, Black Tea, Cream & Chocolate Syrup.

The Norway Pavilion is by far and away our most favorite. Meet Anna & Elsa at the Royal Sommerhaus, learn about Viking deities in the Stave Church, ride Frozen Ever After – but perhaps our most favorite part is the merchandise and delicious cuisine. Plus, the buildings here are simply stunning and make for great photo backdrops.

Find this one next to the Stave Church at the front of the pavilion. Helpful tip: if you find your group is having trouble carrying their drinks at this point, purchase the handy Bottle Strap for $3.75 sold here.

Einstok White Ale, $10.75 – Imported directly from Iceland, this is our favorite beer in the park.

Norway Einstock White Ale

Carlsberg Pilsner, $10.75 – This is another great selection, imported from Norway.

Troll Kreme, $18 – This is a brand new creation offered at the Beer Stand and it’s served in a souvenir cup. It’s frozen Cranberry and Vanilla flavoring mixed with Dragon Berry Rum.

Kringla Bakeri og Kafe

Our favorite go-to dessert in Epcot is Kringla’s Schoolbread. Aside from this, they have a large list of treats and a few small bites sure to please any late-night snackers or sweet tooths. We also love the friendly Norwegian staff that works in this small cafe.

Nordic Draft Beer, $11.25 – Choose from Aass Pilsner, Einstock White Ale and Einstock Toasted Porter.

Viking Coffee, $15.00 – This may be the perfect combo of caffeine & alcohol your group needs to complete the drinking journey. The coffee is flavored with Kamora Coffee Liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream and you can order it iced ($14.50) or frozen ($15).

Welcome to the fiesta! Mexico is absolutely the best pavilion to end your Drinking Around the World experience. We’ve watched friends drag other friends to the finish line here before – nothing a little tequila can’t fix. End the night with delicious tacos at La Cantina de San Angel, by riding the Gran Fiesta Tour water ride or by simply watching the fireworks over World Showcase Lagoon.

La Cantina de San Angel & Choza de Margarita

If you’re too tired to hang, take a seat at La Cantina de San Angel for tacos and your last beverage, or grab a bench near Choza de Margarita to watch Epcot’s fireworks with drink in hand.

Tulum Craft Lager Draft Beer, $12.00 – This beer has a signature salty flavor, made with real sea water.

Lime Frozen Margarita, $12 . 75 – This is a frozen margarita found at Choza de Margarita, along with three other frozen flavors.

Black Magic, $21.00 – The ultimate frozen margarita is at Choza de Margarita made with Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, Blackberry Purée, LeJay black Currant Liqueur, and topped with Lime and Mint.

La Cava del Tequila

The mackdaddy of all Epcot lounges, La Cava del Tequila carries 200+ tequilas, classic margaritas and often has a line out the door. Get some chips & guac with one of their monster flights of 5 tequilas or more to share with the group. If you’re going it alone, try a drink from the list below.

Pina Loca, $16 – This is currently the least expensive selection at La Cava, a mix of ginger pineapple juice, ilegal mezcal and Ancho Reyes Chili liquor with black salt on the rim.

El Negroni, $18 – This is a Oaxacan style negroni featuring Gracias a Dios Gin, Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, Sweet Vermouth, Aperol, Ancho Reyes liquor, applejack and delicious coffee liquer.

Casa Dragones Top Shelf Margarita, $23 – Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco mixed with Torres Orange Liquor, agave nectar and freshly squeezed lime juice served on the rocks.

Mexico Casa Dragones Top Shelf Margarita

Keep in mind tequila shots can range from $15 each to well over $40 each . Ask your server for choices within a certain price range and be sure they come with a Tabasco chaser.

All prices were calculated at a specific point in time and are subject to change. Availability may also vary.

So how much did you spend today? Only calculating drinks purchased, my frugal friends (if they didn’t share drinks) came out at $102.25 before tax. If you stayed in the middle price range, you were around $142.25 before tax. For those who splurged the entire day, your total was $227.95 before tax.

While you’re in the planning phase, also check out our list of 30+ Epcot Tips & Secrets and our Insider’s Guide to Epcot for Adults . Both cover the whole park in great detail and have a ton of tips for all sorts of things.

Epcot Drinking Around the World Cost Guide

This is an awesome post! I would love one, you may already have, in regard to drinking around the world during food and wine with only specialty booths!

Magic Insiders

Thanks, Jennifer! That’s a great idea! Drinking around the world during the Food & Wine festival is a lot of fun. Maybe we’ll have recovered from the last outing by the time it rolls around this year. 😀

Prudence

Does Epcot offer an alcoholic drink pass to purchase?

Hey Prudence!

Epcot doesn’t typically have any passes specifically for alcohol, but there are a number of table-service and quick-service restaurants that take Annual Passholder discounts and the Tables in Wonderland discount.

Kim

Nope. But, to help you budget, you can put a specific amount of money on a gift card that is attached to a spiral stretchy wrist band. Then you don’t have to fumble with cash or a wallet for your drinks. Each receipt will show your remaining balance. Cheers!

Drinking and snacking around the world at epcot: what you need to know.

Florida's Theme Parks in 60 Seconds

Make your way around the world showcase while stopping for drinks and snacks in each country.  .

By Stephen Kubiak

Think Walt Disney World is just kiddie rides and princesses? Think again. Epcot is home to the World Showcase, which consists of 11 pavilions representing countries from around the world, including Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, the United States, Italy, Germany, China, Norway and Mexico. At each pavilion, you can find attractions , dining, drinking  and shopping relating to the country.

“Drinking Around The World” is the process of making your way around World Showcase while stopping for drinks and snacks in each country. We took a trip “around the world” with members of the  Bay Lake Society , a group dedicated to enjoying the moment and exploring Walt Disney World at a more leisurely pace, and came up with some tips. Here’s your ultimate guide to snacking and drinking around the world at Epcot.

Moosehead is one of the beers available in Canada

Drink:   From the Popcorn Cart in Canada, you can find a wide range of Canadian beers like Labatt Blue, Moosehead, La Fin Du Monde and St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout and Apricot Wheat.

Eat:  While Canada doesn’t have a quick service restaurant, you can head over to the Refreshment Port next door and pick up a croissant doughnut dusted in cinnamon sugar.

Insider Tip:  If you decide to take a break and are looking for a great sit-down meal,  Le Cellier Steakhouse  is an excellent choice, but be sure to make reservations well in advance. If you go, order the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup or Poutine. Also, stick around for the Canadian Lumberjacks show on the stage between Canada and the UK.

Fresh fish & chips can be had at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop

- Scott Audette for VISIT FLORIDA

United Kingdom

Drink:  The  Rose & Crown Pub  is full-service bar designed in the spirit of a local English pub. Best of all, the pub is air-conditioned. It’s a fantastic spot to grab a specialty cocktail, like the Welsh Dragon, or a UK beer. For beer lovers, try one of the pub blends like a Black-and-Tan. For a to-go drink, check out the UK Beer Cart next to the Rose & Crown Pub that features regional beers like Bass Ale, Innis & Gunn, and Newcastle.

Eat:  Head over to Yorkshire County Fish Shop for fresh fish and chips. The seating area next to the fish shop offers a great view of the World Showcase Lagoon.

Insider Tip:  Looking for live entertainment? Find it tucked away behind the UK shops. The British Revolution band plays sets throughout the day.

Sparkling wine from Les Vins de France

france-epcot-ice-cream-martini.jpg.640.340.imagerendition

Ice Cream Martini from L’Artisan des Glaces

Drink:  France has a lot to offer in the way of libations. You’ll find an Ice Cream Martini from  L’Artisan des Glaces  that’s 2 scoops of ice cream with a shot of Grand Marnier, whipped cream vodka or rum. For beer lovers, France offers Kronenbourg 1664. If you enjoy wine, Les Vins de France does pours of french wines and champaigns. The Les Vins des Chefs de France kiosk also sells the popular Grand Marnier and Grey Goose Orange Slush and Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush, which are perfect on a hot day.

Eat:  Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie offers traditional French bakery fare with a twist like the Dinde B.L.T., with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli, and Jambon Beurre, with ham, cheese and Dijon mustard butter on a demi baguette. You can also grab a crepe at the Crepes des Chefs de France kiosk, which serves chocolate, strawberry preserve, sugar or ice cream crepes.

Insider Tip:  “France is by far my favorite country. The level of detail, beauty and culture verge on breathtaking. Of course, I've always had a soft spot for French culture and it is represented quite well in the pavilion. There are multiple walkways that allow guests to find little nooks to escape into. The scents are captivating, the food is decadent and artful,” said Dani Dennison-Perez.

“The bakery and ice cream shop in France are top-notch. They also have the best specialty drinks,” said Jason Schuck. “My favorite drink is the Grand Marnier slushee.”

“My favorite snack in all of World Showcase is a Croque Glace from L’Artisan des Glaces in France. Basically, they take a scoop of ice cream put it between two pieces of brioche, top it with a sauce of your choosing and seal it,” said Scott Sanders.

epcot-morocco-beer-2.jpg.640.340.imagerendition

You can enjoy a selection of Mediterranean beers in Morocco

Crispy calamari at Spice Road Table

- Rachelle Lucas

Drink:  The bar at  Spice Road Table  is a great place to sample some Moroccan and Mediterranean beers like Casa, Efes and Mythos. The full-service bar also offers signature cocktails, wine flights and aperitifs. Try a Moroccarita, which is vodka, lemon, lime juice and triple sec.

Eat:  For a quick bite with Moroccan flavors, head over to the Tangierine Cafe for a Mediterranean Chicken, Falafel or Lamb Wrap.

Insider Tip:  “Morocco is often overlooked but it’s the most detailed of the pavilions with winding paths and intriguing courtyards. The cast members here are often the friendliest of any on Disney property,” said Dani Dennison-Perez.

“The bar at Spice Road Table, along World Showcase lagoon in the Morocco pavilion, has no seating and it’s basically just the lobby area of the restaurant, but they have a full bar and can make nearly any drink your heart desires,” said Dani Dennison-Perez.

“The new bar in Morocco is my favorite and is a hidden gem,” said Jason Schuck.

The Kirin Frozen can be found at the Japan pavilion in Epcot

japan-epcot-sake.jpg.640.340.imagerendition

The Sake Bar in Japan has several sake selections to choose from

Drink:  In the back of the Mitsukoshi Department Store, you’ll find the Sake Bar where you can find a large variety of Japanese spirits like Ginga Kogen Beer, Hana Awaka sparkling sake, Yuzu Umeshu Kishu plum wine and a wide selection of hot and cold sakes. At the  Kabuki Cafe , beer aficionados will find Kirin, Asahi and Sapporo, as well as  Kirin Frozen , which is a Kirin Draft topped with an icy foam, also made from Kirin, that helps insulate and keep the beer cold.

Eat:  Katsura Grill is perfect for a quick bit and has Japanese favorites like sushi, udon and teriyaki.

Insider Tip:  “Japan has a sake bar in the back corner of the sprawling Mitsukoshi department store that many people overlook. It’s a semi-hidden gem that offers some of the most unique sake options,” said Dani Dennison-Perez. “The sake bar in Japan has a nice selection and even has really good beer at times. Outside Japan, the frozen beer is worth trying once on a hot day just for the novelty factor,” said Jason Schuck.

Eat:  Grab a jalapeno-and-cheese-stuffed pretzel from Block & Hans, a turkey leg from Fife & Drum Tavern, or a funnel cake from the Funnel Cake stand.

Insider Tip:  “Don’t miss the Voices of Liberty that perform in the rotunda of The American Adventure building,” said Dani Dennison-Perez. “Also,be sure to look for characters along the pathway to the left of the Disney Vacation Club kiosk. You can often find characters doing impromptu meet-and-greet-sessions there.”

Try a Birra Moretti while in Italy

epcot-italy-wine.jpg.640.340.imagerendition

Rose Regale from La Bottega Italiana in Italy

Drink:  Grab some Italian beer, wine or frizzante (champagne) at La Bottega Italiana or venture deeper into the Italy pavilion and head over to  Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar  for some Italian Sangria, specialty cocktails and small plates.

Eat:  Drop by the Gelati kiosk for a Gelato Sandwich, gelato sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies, or a more classic Italian treat like a Cannoli.

Insider Tip: “In Italy, if you get the Rose Regale (and you should), pair it with a piece of dark chocolate, just $.50, from the little shop right behind the wine bar. The combination enhances both flavors,” said Jason Schuck.

Drink:  At the Weinkeller store, you can sample different German wines and beers. You can also purchase bottles to take home with you. The beer cart also offers a wide selection of German beers like Warsteiner Dunkel and Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen.

Eat:  Go for a bratwurst or an authentic hand-twisted pretzel at  Sommerfest .

“On the savory side, the mac and cheese in Germany (Nudel Gratin) is a huge, delicious portion for a very reasonable price,” said Jason Schuck.

Insider Tip:  “Germany is my second favorite country because it recreates a warm, inviting storybook town square. This pavilion definitely becomes my favorite during the holiday season. Most of our American holiday traditions originated in Germany and the pavilion comes alive with an Old World festive spirit during the winter holidays,” said Dani Dennison-Perez.

Drink:  At the  Joy of Tea , you’ll find cocktails like the Canto Loopy with vodka and cantaloupe juice, and Tsing Tao beer.

Eat:  The Lotus Blossom Cafe offers some quick bites like chicken potstickers, shrimp fried rice and orange chicken. The Joy of Tea kiosk also has tasty eats like Chinese barbecue pork buns and egg rolls.

Insider Tip:  Save some time to explore the House of Good Fortune store tucked in the back of the China pavilion.

Drink:  For beer, you’ll find Einstök Icelandic White Ale and Carlsberg on draft at the beer cart in Norway. For those brave enough, you can also get shot of Linie Aquavit.

“Linie Aquavit is similar to vodka, with a strong taste of spice and herbs. It had a little bite to it, but definitely a unique flavor,” said Dani Dennison-Perez.

Eat:  Try the School Bread, a sweet cardamom bun filled with vanilla crème custard and topped with glazed and toasted coconut, or one of the many sandwiches offered at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe.

Insider Tip:  “I’m a fan of the Norwegian School Bread. It has just the right level of sweetness,” said Jason Schuck.

A Mango Margarita from the Margarita Kiosk in Mexico

Drink:   Choza de Margarita in Mexico offers a wide range of margaritas, like the Patron Lime Margarita, Milagro Pomegranate Margarita and frozen margaritas with lime, strawberry and mango flavors. At  La Cantina de San Angel  you can find more margaritas, like the Patrón Cranberry Margarita on the Rocks, and Mexican beers Dos Equis Lager and Modelo Especial on draft. While drinking around the world at Epcot, be sure to check out La Cava del Tequila located inside the Mexico pavilion for great cocktails, beer, wine and over 200 different tequilas.

Eat:  For a quick bite, check out La Cantina de San Angel for tacos, nachos and empanadas. Don’t forget to order some churros for dessert.

Insider Tips:  “Mexico hosts my favorite bar in Epcot: La Cava de Tequila. The cast members here are extremely passionate about tequila - they are truly experts.” - Dani Dennison.

“If you’re a Starbucks junkie, you must try the coffee/mezcal margarita at La Cava,” said Jason Schuck. “Also, don't be afraid of the jalapeno margarita at La Cava. They take the seeds out so you get the amazing flavor without the heat.”

“My favorite place for drinks in World Showcase is La Cava del Tequila. First and foremost the venue is inside, providing a nice reprieve from the Florida sun following a trip around World Showcase or an escape from the afternoon thunderstorms. They serve up a variety of margaritas and have a wide selection of tequila. My favorite drink at Cava is the blood orange margarita. The icing on the cake to any trip to Cava are the the chips, queso and guacamole,” said Scott Sanders.

Drinking Around the World at Epcot 2023 – The Guide

Photo of author

Drinking Around The World at Epcot is an unofficial Disney event that anyone over the age of majority can hold on their own.

On this post

In it, you will taste several typical drinks from each of the countries within their respective pavilions of the World showcase .

We can say that this is a unique experience and that it goes directly against the park's proposal.

The Epcot was created to celebrate different cultures and experiences from the past, present and future. As such, Drinking Around the World is one of today's best ways for adults to experience different cultures!

Epcot

As for Drinking Around The World, we can be sure of at least three things:

– It is not an activity for children, as it involves alcoholic beverages;

– It is also not an activity for those who want to get drunk or drink too much, because the proposal is to promote a cultural experience;

– You leave the activity with much more knowledge than when you entered, as you go through attractions and tastings from 11 different countries.

Despite being a very fun activity, Drinking Around the World was not something officially created by Disney.

The park's visitors themselves proposed this challenge and you can do it any day you want.

So you won't find anything about Drinking Around the World on Disney's official website.

But don't worry, we'll give you all the information and tips so you can enjoy this unofficial event with peace of mind!

Frozen Beer at the Japan Pavilion

See what Epcot's Drinking Around the World is, learn how it works, and stay tuned for tips to get the most out of this challenge.

What is Drinking Around The World

First we need to talk about Epcot.

It is a park that has 11 pavilions in the World showcase and each of them corresponds to a country, bringing a little of the culture of each location with shows and attractions, customs and cuisine of each location.

These countries are: Canada, United States, Mexico , United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Norway , morocco, Japan and China .

The Drinking Around the World it is a challenge that walks through these pavilions and proposes the tasting of a drink in each of these places.

That is, during your tour in each of the pavilions of the epcot countries you will drink/taste a typical drink from that country.

Seems interesting? Really is!

In this guide we will talk about what you will find in each of these 11 countries for your experience.

How Much Does Drinking Around the World Cost?

We get this question all the time from those planning to do Drinking Around the World.

Naturally, the price will depend on the drinks you choose, and this can even be a very decisive factor in your choices.

There are drinks that will easily cost more than $20 while a beer in Germany will cost around $11.

In order to provide a relative value, let's consider an average value of $16.50 for each drink (not counting the tips ).

If you complete and have a drink in each of the 11 different pavilions, your total cost will be approximately $181.50.

It's not a cheap activity, but consider sharing the drinks so you can enjoy them all and still save a little during the event. We talk more about tips like this at the end of this post.

Drinking around the World 2023 Roadmap at Epcot

Once you enter Epcot you can start in Mexico and end in Canada, or go the other way around.

Here, we'll consider going counterclockwise, starting the epcot tour of Canada, but feel free to proceed in any format you like.

The reason for this is very simple.

We consider tequila to be one of the strongest alcoholic drinks and the one that mixes the least with others.

As in Mexico the drink of choice is tequila, we recommend that you save it for the end, as this way you are more likely to be able to try more drinks in different countries.

To facilitate your understanding, here is a map of the World Showcase at Epcot.

Canada pavilion

Let's assume you start your script around lunchtime (remembering that it's very important to eat before you drink).

If your intention in Canada is to have a meal, Le Cellier restaurant it will be an option to get into the Canadian mood (we recommend leaving room for dessert in France).

The restaurant has Canadian cuisine with a special emphasis on meats, broths and potatoes with traditional Canadian sauces.

Beer at the Canada Pavilion - Drinking Around the World at Epcot

As for drinks, if you want to really get into the Canadian atmosphere, one of the most typical is Caesar, which you can consider as their caipirinha.

At Le Cellier restaurant you can find it on the menu with the name Le Cellier Lot 40 Bloody Caesar. But watch out for the ingredients, you might not like it.

In Le Cellier's version, the drink is made with whiskey, a blend of spices and clam juice, which is made with tomato juice, clam broth (a type of clam) and spices.

You can order a Canadian beer too to enjoy with your meal, or if you're heading to the next country soon, there's a popcorn cart in the Canadian pavilion that serves Canadian beers!

UK pavilion

The next stop is in the country of Pubs, there is a very pleasant place called Rose & Crown Pub.

The establishment has a variety of special cocktails on its menu, in addition to the typical beers of the country.

Carlos and Nath - Drinking Around the World - England

But to drink beers, the UK Beer Cart that is next to the Pub can be more interesting, as it has a huge variety of options and will be much faster.

For a bite to eat or a quick bite to eat, the Yorkshire County Fish Shop is great for enjoying typical UK fish fries.

Super Extra Tip

If you want to enjoy Drinking Around the World 2023 and not waste time sitting in a kiosk or restaurant, we recommend that you transport your drink in a Stanley Mug or Pint around the park

That's because in Orlando it can be very hot, so your drinks that should be consumed cold like beers, Margaritas, etc. can heat up very quickly.

The Stanley Mugs or Pints they are very famous for preserving the temperature for a long time, not to mention that between one drink or another, they can serve you to drink water at the water fountain, without having to spend money buying water at the park!

So get yours on amazon at a discount before your trip to the park.

France pavilion

The good part of enjoying a drink in France is the fact that you can opt for something with a lot of sugar, which already helps to give you extra energy.

This is the case with the Ice Cream Martini by L?Artisan des Glaces.

Ice Cream Martini by L?Artisan des Glaces

The drink consists of two scoops of ice cream, rum, Grand Marnier and whipped cream.

So you combine dessert and drink in one.

Another strong point of France is its wines and sparkling wines, and if that's your option, stop at Le Vins de France.

Drinking Around the World at Epcot - Sparkling Wine at the France Pavilion

To eat, nothing better than some typical bakery delight you'll find at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie or a crepe at the kiosk Crepes des Chefs de France.

Morocco pavilion

Mediterranean cuisine is always well represented in Orlando in general.

At Epcot, the Morocco pavilion also reinforces this.

Cocktails and Moroccan beers can be enjoyed at Spice Road Table .

Morocco Pavilion - Drinking Around The World

At Tangierine Cafe there are several options on the menu for meals. Wraps, shawarmas and falafel, as well as vegetarian options are some of the food options.

japan pavilion

In the land of sake you will find the Sake Bar with several options of Japanese drinks and dishes and naturally this is the drink that visitors usually drink here.

Violet Sake - Japan Pavilion - Drinking Around the World Epcot

Another option is the Kabuki Cafe with its Kirin Frozen. It's a drink that looks like those slushies.

It's made with a kirin Draft with ice foam keeping it really cold.

For meals, a good option is at Katsura Grill which also serves cocktails.

United States pavilion

In the American pavilion, craft beers are present at Block & Hans in addition to the traditional local cheese pretzel with jalapeno.

For dining by the drink, Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue is the restaurant that replaced the Liberty Inn.

There you can even find a super famous drink sought after by Drinking Around the World participants, the Moonshine Sour.

We just love this Drink, so much so that we now drink it almost every time we go to the park.

Carlos and Nath - Drinking Around the World - USA Moonnight Sour

The restaurant has a good range of craft beers.

The restaurant offers other typical American drink options such as ciders, wines and cocktails.

A great piece of information to reinforce here are the vegetarian and vegan options, and they also have plant-based burgers.

Italy pavilion

We arrived at my favorite pavilion!

If you haven't had wine yet during this tour, the time is now and the place is at La Bottega Italiana or Adega Tutto Gusto.

Tutto Italia Epcot

Sangrias and cocktails are other drink options in addition to typical dishes from the traditional pasta country.

At the tutto italy , in addition to a vast menu with Italian options ranging from carpaccio to traditional pasta, the drinks really do justice to the Italy .

Some drinks are made with Vermouth, others with Prosseco and others with the traditional limoncello.

We had the Limoncello and we recommend it, delicious and super refreshing.

The reinterpretation of these drinks with Italian ingredients gives a super special touch and an extra taste of Italy.

Germany pavilion

We have arrived in the land of beer and a good option is to select what you want to drink from the beer cart that you will easily find in the Germany pavilion.

But if your intention is to stop for a meal, it's good to know that in Biergarten Restaurant you pay per person and eat all you want.

Carlos and Nath - Drinking Around the World - Beer in Germany

Beers are also served without hesitation in ½ liter or 1 liter portions. You don't have the 350 ml can, no.

It is worth asking for the tasting of German beers that come in 5 different types.

Wines and shots of Jägermeister or Bärenjäger can also be enjoyed during a meal at the Biergarten Restaurant.

In those countries where we drink beer, the Stanley cups or any other thermos cups that you take can help you immensely so that you can continue walking and enjoying the shows that take place in the streets of the pavilions.

China pavilion

Drinks and meals are enjoyed at Joy of Tea at Nine Dragons Restaurant, or for quick bites, the Lotus Blossom Cafe .

As for drinks, there are Chinese beers like Tsing Tao sold at both restaurants and Lucky Buddah.

Joy of Tea - China Epcot

However, the drinks are different readings with ingredients that we find in other places.

But if you'd rather drink than beer, try one anyway.

Just don't expect to find a typical Chinese drink.

A tip is to try the BaiJoe Punch that at least uses a Chinese distillate in its composition in addition to lychee, coconut and pineapple.

norway pavilion

In the Norway beer cart you will find several options.

Frozen Viking Coffee - Drinking Around the World - Norway Pavilion

In addition to beer there is a drink with coffee there that is delicious, its name is Frozen Viking Coffee, a sweet alcoholic drink of coffee with liqueur.

Carlos and Nath - Drinking Around the World - Norway

If you are going to stop by to eat at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall In addition to tasty meals, you will find many interesting drinks such as the Magical Star, with organic x-fusion mango and passion fruit liqueur, pineapple juice, coconut flavored rum and a bright multicolored ice cube that you can take home as a souvenir.

Another interesting drink from Akershus is the Café Viking which combines coffee liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream.

Mexico pavilion

Finishing the tour, we arrive at the country of tequila that we mentioned at the beginning of the post.

If you follow the script in that order, you'll notice that it will be night by now, so it's a good time to have dinner.

Among the restaurant options in the Mexico pavilion, one of them is the San Angel Inn , a restaurant that has many food options on the menu, as well as many drinks, cocktails and margaritas.

It Takes Two to Mango Margarita and Blood Orange Charm Margarita - Drinking Around the WOrld at the Mexico Pavilion

At San Angel you can order a tasting of tequila that the house has on the menu and if you have a group of friends, the tasting will be very quiet to end the night well.

At Choza de Margarita, there are plenty of options for this drink, as well as quick snacks.

The well-known Mexican beers Dos Equis are found there as well, but the most interesting options of varied cocktails are at La Cava del Tequila, which has more than 200 tequila options on its menu.

Tips For Drinking Around The World 202 3

We'll briefly talk here about some recommendations to make your Drinking Around the World 2023 experience more enjoyable

Taste the drinks

The real tasters are not those who drink heavily, but those who enjoy the drink.

Take that mindset with you as you venture into this challenge.

So, instead of thinking this is a challenge to drink 11 alcoholic drinks in less time, spread each one of them over a longer period of stay in the park.

Drinking Around the World at Epcot - Norway Pavilion

Trying the drink is only part of this journey, even the drink is just a door to a world experience!

Exploring each space of each pavilion while you enjoy a drink, or enjoying a good meal with spices that you are not used to tasting while combining it with your drink, is what makes the challenge worth it.

A good alternative is to start there at lunchtime and extend into the evening. This is also a challenge to do among friends, or at least with a company. So you can split the doses.

drinking-around-the-world-epcot-france-grand-mariner

Pay attention to age

Normally I wouldn't need to cite this here. But different countries in the world have different restrictions on alcohol consumption.

As you are in the United States, in all World Showcase countries the restriction is the same, so to do this challenge you must be over 21 years old and always carry your passport with you, as it can be requested.

Another important thing is to start the day with a good breakfast and not consume alcohol without being well fed. Also take the opportunity to eat along the way.

You don't need to stuff yourself, but it's important to get some glucose into your body during the tour.

If you don't want to spend on food, take some snacks (Buy in advance) in your backpack for snacking and take a break to eat at mealtimes.

We recommend that you take your snacks from home and don't leave to buy them there!

Do not drink and drive

Another obvious thing that a lot of people forget, or don't give due importance, is to go by Uber or take one of those transports from the Disney complex, in case you are in one of your hotels .

France Pavilion at Epcot

Even if possible, this is one of our recommendations. Look into staying at a Disney hotel even just for a few days to do Drinking Around The World 2023.

The ease of transportation from Disney to the parks will make your life a lot easier.

Or even one of the parks you can walk from the hotel to the park like Boardwalk Inn and Disney's Beach Club .

It seems obvious, but many people think that it is enough to go a few hours without drinking before getting in the car again, that everything is fine, and that's not it.

The important thing is that you do not drive if you are going to drink and that you are not with a driver (friend, relative) who has been drinking.

Can you imagine getting in trouble in the US for drunk driving?

Plan, Plan and Plan

As we always say, planning for a trip to Disney is critical.

If necessary, look for our professional travel consultancy to help them put together an itinerary for their trip!

Pick up a map at the park entrance and try to distribute the time spent on site among all the attractions and enjoy each one as you fulfill the challenge.

Drinking around the World at Epcot is just one of many exciting activities for you to enjoy Epcot.

Figment 50th Anniversary Statue at Epcot with Monorail

By following these tips, you will be able to make the most of this experience while having your Drinking around the World at Epcot.

Drink water

For several reasons. First of all, plenty of water will help you go further in drinking around the world without starting to get high on alcohol.

And that's not what we're looking for here, right?

And second, it's important for your health. Alcohol dehydrates and depending on what time of year you are doing this experiment, it is possible that it will be very hot.

This combination can make you feel sick or even pass out. Simple things like a glass of water after every drink can prevent any more serious problems.

Of course, to save money and not have to buy water all day at the park, you have 2 options, the first is to take water bottles with you or take a stanley thermos bottle and fill it with water from the drinking fountains around the park.

If need be, you can order glasses of ice at any kiosk or restaurant which they will give you for free too!

Stay hydrated!

Share your Drinks

This is a practical tip both for getting further in Drinking around the World and for your pocket.

Some drinks are quite large, avoid waste and share them.

And let's face it, drinking in a group is much more fun anyway!

Extra tip (Learn from our mistakes)

On our last trip of 2019 which was our engagement trip , we decided to do Drinking Around the World.

Drinking Around the World at Epcot

On that day, we had a reservation at the San Angel Inn and there we decided to order the same Tequilas tasting that we recommend in this post (but note that we mentioned, group of friends).

In this case, it was just the 2 of us and what happened was, the tequila flight (as the tasting is called) was huge and when we left the restaurant we had to abort the idea of doing Drinking Around the World, as it would be too much to drink.

The tip is, don't exaggerate people, especially in the first drinks, there's a lot of good stuff there, order the smallest versions whenever possible!

The Ultimate Guide To Drinking Around The World At Epcot

All the drinks you can't miss at Epcot's World Showcase.

epcot drinks

There are competing theories about the best way to drink around the world. Do you start in Canada, then head to the U.K. and make your way counter-clockwise? Or do you kick things off in Mexico, starting on a high note at the best bar in the whole park, and go clockwise?

I’ve tested these theories innumerable times, and here’s the definitive answer: they’re both wrong. The best way, according to my completely correct opinion, is to start in France. Enter the park through the International Gate, which is where the Skyliner and the Crescent Lake boats drop you off, and you’ll be right between U.K. and France.

Once you’re inside the World Showcase, here are the drinks you shouldn’t miss.

France - Orange Slush

epcot drinks

Especially if it’s a hot day, start with something cool and citrusy. The Orange Slush ($14.75) from Les Vins de Chefs de France, the kiosk by the water, is made with Grey Goose L’Orange, Rum, Grand Marnier, and orange juice. If you’re lucky, grab a seat at one of the wrought-iron tables by the water and watch the street artists draw caricatures and silhouettes as you sip.

Morocco - Iced Mint Tea

epcot drinks

It’s easy to miss the Morocco pavilion’s two walk-up bars: one is the Sangria Souk hidden in the back, and one is inside Spice Road Table, the tapas-style waterfront restaurant. There, order the Iced Mint Tea ($14.50) made with Bombay Sapphire Gin. But beware, this sweet, minty refresher packs a surprising punch, despite its mellow name. If you want to start your day a little slower, go with a Pomegranate or Hibiscus Mimosa ($13.50).

Japan - Violet Sake

epcot drinks

The walk-up YeSake kiosk in the center of the Japan pavilion has an excellent sake selection, but I can never resist the heliotrope glow of the Violet Sake cocktail ($12.50), made with sake, purple pear and lime juice. The color is a beacon to other Epcot cocktail explorers: be prepared for a lot of people to ask you where you got this one. The drink is on the sweeter side, so if you want to be mindful of your sugar intake lower for the day—not a bad strategy if you’re drinking around the world—opt for the Kirin Frozen Draft Beer ($10) instead.

The American Adventure - Frozen Mint Julep

epcot drinks

The walk-up bar outside the Regal Eagle Smokehouse has an extensive domestic beer selection, but they also have some fun, Southern-inspired cocktails, like the Moonshine Sour ($15) made with Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine, blood orange, blackberry and lemon.

My favorite is the Frozen Mint Julep ($15), with Jim Beam Black extra-aged bourbon, mint, and citrus. On an especially hot day, take your drink inside the American Adventure Theater next door and cool off in the lobby, where there are a few secret tables for just this purpose.

Italy - Swirl Frozen Sangria

epcot drinks

If you’re drinking your way around the world, you’re going to need some carbs to absorb all that booze. Once you get to the Italy pavilion, walk past the performers and the enormous Fountain of Neptune, and you’ll be at Pizza al Taglio, a walk-up window that sells slices and refreshments.

The window offers Prosecco Frozen White Sangria ($12.50) and Langhe Frozen Red Sangria ($12.50), but real ones know that swirling the two is the way to balance the sweetness of the white and the tartness of the red into one delightful sip.

Germany - Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen

epcot beer

There are a lot of beers to choose from in the Germany pavilion—and if you find the tucked-away Weinkeller, a lot of German wines, too—but Schöfferhofer ($10.75) is a standout. The pink-hued grapefruit beer is available several places and is the ideal sipper on a hot Florida day. Enjoy it with a giant Bavarian pretzel, or even better, pretzel bread pudding from the Sommerfest kiosk.

China - Canto Loopy

epcot drinks

You might walk by The Joy of Tea in the China pavilion, thinking you’ll pass it up in favor of something with a stronger ABV—but the kiosk actually offers more hard beverages than teas. The Canto Loopy ($11) sounds simple, but it’s perfectly refreshing: vodka and cantaloupe, with optional added boba ($1). Unflavored boba is an option, but the blueberry adds something extra to this surprisingly not-very-sweet cocktail.

Norway - Viking Coffee

epcot drinks

It’s really up to the weather which Viking Coffee you choose from the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway pavilion. The original ($14.50) is hot coffee with Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur and Kamora Coffee Liqueur, which is perfect with a Norwegian Kringla (pretzel-shaped pastry with chocolate or almond) or School Bread (bread filled with custard and dipped in coconut). The frozen version ($15) is a dessert unto itself, topped with coffee-chocolate sauce and coffee-chocolate crunch.

Mexico - Avocado Margarita

epcot drinks

If you went to Epcot and didn’t go to La Cava del Tequila, you didn’t go to Epcot at all. Missing La Cava is an unforgivable transgression among the Disney drinking set. This tiny bar inside the pyramid in the Mexico pavilion is an absolute must, which is why so many people start there.

The walk-up bar (which has a few precious tables that serve queso, salsa, and chips) offers over 200 tequilas by the shot and flight, but the specialty cocktails are truly next level. The frozen Avocado Margarita ($17) blends Tromba blanco tequila, melon liqueur, fresh avocado, and lime with a hibiscus salt rim.

Canada - Ottawa Apple

epcot drinks

The emphasis is definitely on beer at the Canada pavilion, but don’t skip the Ottawa Apple ($14.50) at the maple popcorn cart, made with Crown Royal Whisky, maple, apple infusion, and cranberry juice. I thought it would be way too sugary, but I was happy to have misjudged this balanced sweet-and-tart combination.

United Kingdom - Black Velvet Pub Blend

epcot drinks

The Rose & Crown is a restaurant, but it also has a walk-up pub that is the only place in Epcot you can get a dram of Irish whiskey or Scotch, and from a well-curated selection. In fact, they offer a surprisingly affordable Macallan flight ($26) which has pours of 12 year, 15 year and 18 year.

For me, the really exciting part is the pub blends, which are layered combinations of ales and ciders, like the Black Velvet ($10.50) which is half Guinness and half hard cider.

France Part Deux - Dom Perignon Champagne

epcot drinks

The other benefit of going in and out of the International Gate is that you can hit France again on the way out. This time, congratulate yourself on a job well done with the perfect nightcap: a glass of honest-to-goodness French champagne. There is no better last drink of the night than something bubbly.

Once in a great while I will treat myself to a glass of Dom Perignon Brut ($45), but usually, I’ll go for the delicious and much more budget-friendly Nicolas Feuillatte Brut ($14), which you can also have with a splash of Chambord raspberry liqueur as a Kir Imperiale ($16).

The Ultimate Pro-Tip: Take your bubbly into France’s Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie to sip while you wait in line to get some pastries in takeaway containers for breakfast. Then, wake up with a croissant or a beignet the next morning, which will taste even better knowing what excellent life choices have gotten you to that moment. Last time I did this, I had a chocolate eclair and a pain au lard (bread with cheese and bacon lardons) on the plane home, and I have never been prouder of my planning skills.

Best Places to Grab a Beer in Disney World: Pubs, Sports Bars + More

' src=

Whether you want to grab a brew to have in hand as you stroll through a Disney theme park, or you want to sit down and catch the big game in a Disney sports bar, you've got options. There are quite a number of places to grab a beer in Disney World, and we've rounded up the best. From pubs and sports bars to creating your own monorail pub crawl that focuses on beer, I've got some great ideas brewing.

St. Patrick's Day at Walt Disney World

Before we dive into the best places for beer at Walt Disney World, let's go to the end of the rainbow. St. Patrick's Day is on the horizon. Walt Disney World itself does not throw any sort of official St. Patrick's Day celebration. However, usually about a week before the official day you'll start to see St. Patrick's Day treats at many quick-service locations and Disney Springs.

St. Patrick's Day at Disney Springs

In past years multiple Disney Springs shops have offered special St. Patrick's Day merchandise. A favorite among them is Basin with their Irish-themed soaps and bath bombs. You can usually find Irish-inspired treats available at Amorette's Patisserie ,  The Ganachery , and  Sprinkles Cupcakes . And for something savory, head to The Daily Poutine near the World of Disney Store, which usually has Irish-themed poutine.

Grab some Irish-inspired grub and special beer blends at City Works, which has St. Patricks Day Specials from March 10 – March 17, 2022. And as you can imagine, the Raglan Road ’s Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival is a major event. This year's expanded Mighty St. Patrick's Festival takes place from March 11 – March 17, 2022, featuring Irish food, craft beer, cocktails, five outdoor bars, live music and performances by Irish dancers.

St. Patrick's Day Treats at Disney

Many Disney Resort hotels have quick-service dining locations that offer seasonal treats throughout the year. And there are often a few quick-service dining locations inside Disney theme parks with St. Patrick's Day treats. The best way to find these is by going into the “Order Food” section of the My Disney Experience app and then looking over the menus.

Important note – St. Patrick's Day at Epcot is usually VERY busy and packed with drinking groups. It can be fun to take part in the party atmosphere. But if rowdy drinking around the world is not your thing, then you may not want to visit Epcot on St. Patrick's Day.

Read on for the best spots for beer at Walt Disney World, which could also come in handy for St. Patrick's Day.

Best Places to Grab a Beer in Disney World

Let's raise a frosty glass to the sports bars, pubs, and restaurants with great beer at Disney World. Then we'll take a look at how to drink beer around the world at Epcot and create your own monorail pub crawl focusing on beer.

BEST BEER AT DISNEY SPRINGS

Disney Springs is such a great Disney date idea, no matter the time of year. Watching sports while drinking a cold one is easily accomplished here. Or, if you just want to try some unique and interesting beers your thirst will be quenched at Disney Springs.

CITY WORKS EATERY AND PUB HOUSE

This is absolutely the BEST spot to grab a beer at Disney Springs. There is a vibrant energy at City Works Eatery and Pub House. With 90 local and global craft beers on tap, the beer selection is impressive. Massive screens around the bar and dining room make it easy to catch a game. And the outdoor dining area is the perfect place to soak up the energy of Disney Springs.

Bonus tip – For the ultimate date night, stop here before enjoying a breathtaking night at Cirque du Soleil's Drawn to Life .

RAGLAN ROAD IRISH PUB AND RESTAURANT

Savor authentic Irish food and brews to match at Raglan Road. This Disney Springs destination is a favorite for date night thanks to its delicious food, plentiful drinks, and live entertainment. It's hard to pass up a Guinness, but there are lots of other great beers on tap at the bar. You can also grab a beer to go or to enjoy at the patio at the outdoor bar along the side of the building.

Live music and Irish dancers at Raglan Road

HOUSE OF BLUES

Home to great folk art and live music, House of Blues is a great spot to grab a cold draft beer and enjoy the atmosphere. Plus, the Southern-inspired food pairs perfectly with a crisp, hoppy brew. You can dine in the dining room or pull up a seat on the outdoor patio which often has live music in the evenings.

One of the coolest atmospheres at Disney Springs can be found at The Edison. Once home to a favorite nightclub of the Pleasure Island days, this impressive venue is now a favorite for date night, birthday celebrations, bachelorettes, and more. Surprisingly enough, The Edison has an extensive craft beer menu, organized by flavor profile. And, they have their own exclusive brew, The Edison Series American IPA.

JOCK LINDSEY'S HANGAR BAR

Another unique atmosphere can be enjoyed at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar (make a reminder in your calendar to visit next  holiday season , it's cutely decorated). Here you can sip on craft beer or even a refreshing shandy (a flavorful combination of beer and lemonade). With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, it's a great spot year-round.

STARGAZERS BAR AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD

It's hard to miss the massive sphere of Planet Hollywood near the center of Disney Springs. But, it is possible to overlook the outdoor bar tucked along the water. Stargazers Bar is small, but a great place to enjoy a casual beer as the energy of Disney Springs surrounds you.

Best Beer at Disney Theme Parks

Practically every single table service restaurant inside of Disney's theme parks serves beer and wine, even the ones in Magic Kingdom. The beer selection at Magic Kingdom's restaurants is pretty basic, and you can only find beer at Magic Kingdom in the table service restaurants to have with your meal.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is great for exploring Asian and African beers. In Harambe Village, the Africa area of the park, stop in at Dawa Bar for a Tusker Ale. Over in the Asia area of the park you'll find a few kiosks along the walkways. A stop inside the Yak and Yeti Restaurant early in the day will give you a good chance to find a spot at the small bar inside where a few Asian beers await to be explored.

There are two great spots for unique beers at Disney's Animal Kingdom, near each other. First, Nomad Lounge is a favorite date night spot, and the beer list is extensive. You can also enjoy the Disney exclusive Kungaloosh beer here. And just down the path is Pandora – World of Avatar which serves a few specialty beers, including a green one on draft, year-round. The Grog Ale is available at multiple spots within Pandora, and is an eye-catching green beer with light citrus and hop notes.

Grog Ale is a green beer at Pandora World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom

The best place to get a beer at any Disney theme park is found inside Disney's Hollywood Studios. Baseline Tap House is essentially a craft beer bar, and it is nearly in the heart of Hollywood Studios. Enjoy a full size craft beer or share a flight and explore a variety of craft beer from California. And near Baseline is Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Here you'll find multiple places for a specialty beer exclusive to the land, including Docking Bay 7 and Ronto Roasters .

If you can snag a Disney dining reservation at Oga's Cantina you'll be treated to immersive theming and a variety of special beer. If you're a super Star Wars fan then consider getting the pricey beer flight that is served in ceramic Rancor teeth for you to take home.

Prefer wine? Discover Sophisticated Spots to Sip Wine At Walt Disney World

Disney beer around the world at epcot.

Perhaps the most popular way to drink beer at Disney is by drinking around the world at Epcot. It is also very popular to debate as to whether it is better to start on the Mexico Pavilion side or the Canada pavilion side.

If your focus is drinking beer around the world then I recommend starting at the Canada Pavilion because the Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room can be your second stop, and you don't want to miss this one.

Recommended itinerary for drinking beer around the world at Epcot:

  • Popcorn cart at Canada Pavilion – Moosehead Draft
  • Rose and Crown Pub at United Kingdom Pavilion – try one of the many Pub Blends
  • Skip France Pavilion unless the Kronenbourg 1664 is an absolute must on your list
  • Spice Road Table at Morocco Pavilion – grab a draft beer or cider at the walk-up bar inside the lobby
  • Kabuki Cafe kiosk at Japan Pavilion – grab a Kirin on draft, or even a Frozen Kirin beer
  • Regal Eagle Smokehouse at American Adventure – stop here for lunch and a beer, or a domestic craft beer from the outdoor bar
  • Skip Italy Pavilion, wine is the main focus here
  • Beer kiosks or Sommerfest at Germany Pavilion – lots of beer choices in this pavilion
  • Lotus Blossom Cafe at China Pavilion – T-Cha Jasmine Draft Beer
  • Skip Norway Pavilion, though there are some Nordic beers at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe
  • La Cantina de San Angel at Mexico Pavilion – Tulum Craft Lager

Pub Blend Beer with Rose and Crown Pub at Epcot in the background

Near Epcot is Disney's BoardWalk Resort which is a great idea for a progressive dinner date . There is also Big River Grille & Brewing Works . At Big River, you can enjoy casual food and beer brewed fresh right there. This is a great spot for craft beer and seasonal beer, all brewed in-house.

You may be wondering about ESPN Club at Disney's BoardWalk. Disney announced in March 2022 that ESPN Club is permanently closed.

Monorail Bar Crawl – Featuring Beer

One of the most popular Disney date ideas is a Monorail Pub Crawl . If your focus is on beer, then your monorail pub crawl will be lots of fun, but may look a little different than the traditional route. Most of the lounges at the Disney resort hotels do not open until 3pm or later, so plan accordingly.

Recommended itinerary for a beer-focused monorail pub crawl:

  • Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian – a variety of beers from Kona Brewing and Maui Brewing
  • The beer menu at Citricos, Narcoossee's, and Enchanted Rose Lounge are essentially the same – Enchanted Rose is the only lounge not attached to a restaurant
  • Outer Rim at Disney's Contemporary – a large variety of domestic craft beers and great views
  • Geyser Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge – bonus round take a boat from the Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge and enjoy the Pacific Northwest atmosphere

How much is beer at Walt Disney World?

Grabbing drinks at Walt Disney World can be pricey. There are a few reasons for this, a captive audience is one of them. A beer at Walt Disney World can cost anywhere from $8 to $13. Draft and canned domestic beer is in the $8 – $9 range, while specialty, import, and craft beers range from $11 – $13. Some special releases can even run upwards of $14 – $15.

Still want more beer at Disney?

Sip on some suds poolside at the Unreserved Beer Garden at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa which serves beer flights that include beers from Florida breweries. From Ivanhoe Park Brewing’s Guavacation to Crooked Can’s Florida Sunshine, 11 local beers will hit the spot. What’s more? The beer flights are half off during the Unreserved Beer Garden’s daily “social hour” from 4-5 pm.

The good news is all of the World Showcase pavilions serve beer. However, not all of them are the greatest when you are doing Drinking Around the World . This guide endeavors to help you drink the better beers where possible. Unfortunately, there will be some swill to swallow if you truly want to drink beer at each World Showcase location. You could either start at Mexico or Canada; going counter-clockwise starting with Canada will generally put the better beer at the beginning of your trip (and the later beers less memorable), so the official order will start with Canada. If you’d rather start in Mexico, just follow this guide in reverse.

The Canada Beer Cart should be your first stop. Since the 2013 Food and Wine Festival ended, the Canada pavilion has kept Unibroue La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, and Éphémère out at the beer cart. The simplest option would be to grab one of these and start drinking! Éphémère is light and fruity, while Trois Pistoles is a darker beer. La Fin du Monde is also a favorite and the 2013 Disney Beer Tournament Champion! For bonus points, Le Cellier serves three additional Unibroue beers! You can’t really go wrong with any of the Unibroue beers. Conversely, the last thing you should drink here is Moosehead.

United Kingdom

A Bass Ale or Harp Lager at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop might be a nice way to have a drink in the UK pavilion. For the more adventurous, head into the Rose & Crown and order a beer blend!

The newly refurbished Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie is our next stop on the tour. Kronenbourg 1664 is the only French beer served in the pavilion; enjoy a pastry along with your beer at the bakery!

beer tour disney world

Morocco’s beer selection is a little better than it used to be thanks to the opening of Spice Road Table, but not much. Six more beers are available in Morocco now, but none of them are particularly thrilling. If you’re looking for a native beer Casa is still the only beer that’s from Morocco. All the new Spice Road Table beers are from other Mediterranean nations.

Japan has a somewhat hidden location with the best beer of the pavilion. In the back of Mitsukoshi is a sake bar known as the Garden House . Here you can find a beer called Ginga Kogen , a Japanese hefeweizen that’s definitely not your usual Sapporo or Kirin Ichiban . There’s lots to look at (and buy) in Mitsukoshi, or head outside and watch Matsuriza pound on their Taiko drums under the pagoda. The American Adventure Until recently, The American Adventure didn’t serve many microbrews. However, Liberty Inn’s menu changed recently and picked up Anchor Brewing Liberty Ale and Sweetwater IPA. The new Block and Hans stand also sells a variety of good beer including Victory Golden Monkey and Napa Smith Hopageddon Imperial IPA, so pick one up and enjoy the Voices of Liberty .

Italy is possibly the best stop for beer in World Showcase. Tutto Gusto is your best bet for a beer without a full sit-down meal in Italy; head on in and try anything that isn’t a pale American lager or a Birra Moretti for best results.

Germany is full of places to get beer, but the same four are served at all of them. Try a Warsteiner Premium Dunkel or a Schöfferhofer Grapefruit at Bier for a good beer in a convenient location, then watch the model trains travel around the tracks as you drink. Also, while you’re in Germany be sure to admire the beer steins!

By this point you should be fairly drunk, which should offset the downfall of the beer quality from this point on. The Joy of Tea has two Chinese choices. These wonderful are Tsingtao and Tsingtao Pure Draft . Admire the Temple of Heaven and watch Reflections of China if you’d like before moving on.

This has been mentioned many times before, but you can’t actually drink Norwegian beer in the Norway pavilion. The Danish beer Carlsberg is served instead. Einstök White Ale , from Iceland, is also served here. Einstök is almost certainly the better choice.

You’ve made it! Mexico is the final stop on the tour around World Showcase. Good choices are limited here, but I’d recommend a Bohemia.

When most people hear the words Walt Disney World it evokes some type of feeling. It is a place of nostalgia, a place where dreams come true and memories are made. Walt Disney always wanted his parks to be ever changing and evolving along with current technologies and trends. Disney World does a great job keeping up with this motto but when you really think about it, us frequent park guests kind of do the same with each vacation. Over the 46 years that the park has been open so much has changed but I’m sure you have as well. Now you are looking at it through a whole new light, watching your kids’ faces light up the first time they see the castle or maybe a trip with a spouse or friends while you take on the epic challenge of drinking around the world at EPCOT. As your Disney experience evolves from childhood into adulthood you take on a whole new view of things. Maybe you skip the kiddie attractions, appreciate the top of the line service more, and maybe you appreciate the opportunity to relax and enjoy an adult beverage in paradise after spending the money for this amazing vacation.

Over the years Disney has really expanded their adult appeal. While the resort remains extremely family friendly they also realize that adults with no children make up a third of their guests per year. I’m sure they also know that after spending a small fortune and 10 hours in a hot park with small children you may need a drink or two. Almost everything at Disney can get planned well in advance but there are just sometimes you need an adult time out. As brief as it may be you should treat yourself, take a few minutes to break the itinerary and drink a cold beer in the hot sun. If you are on a tight schedule between fast passes, dining reservations, and catching transports I always follow this motto: If you are going to take time to enjoy a beer, make it a good one. That being said, here is a list of the top eight “can’t miss” beers on property. Some of them are pretty hard to find on your local liquor store shelves so relax, enjoy and truly appreciate the time people put into these beverages to get them into one of the best vacation spots in the world.

8. Oskar Blues G’Knight Imperial Double IPA – Raglan Road at Disney Springs

This is a a double IPA which means it’s heavy on hops and has a higher ABV or “alcohol content” than your basic domestic beer. A normal domestic is about 4.6% while this beer packs a punch at 8.7%. While it still has the bitterness of a classic IPA it also has hinted undertones of passion fruit, raspberry, pineapple and citrus . This beer hails from a craft brewery in Longmont, CO. This is also a cast favorite of the majority of bartenders at Raglan Road….one of the original bars in Disney Springs.

7. Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale – Oasis Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The newly created Oasis Bar has most of the same offerings as the rest of the pool bars at Disney’s deluxe resorts . However, while most offer the classic and popular Kona Longboard the offerings at the Poly offer a variety from the highly rated Hawaiian brewery. Fire Rock is a crisp Hawaiian style pale ale .  It’s far less hoppy than your traditional IPA. It almost tastes as if Yuengling Lager (the first American brewery) and the newly popular Fat Tire had a love child. It definitely has a very classic amber taste and appeals to a wide variety of palates.

6.Toasted Coconut Porter – Raglan Road-Disney Springs

The Toasted Coconut Porter from Orange Blossom Brewing Company in Orlando, Florida makes you proud to support an original local craft brew that took a risk and nailed it. It’s very hard to make a fruit taste infused beer as appealing and impressive as they did. It also has a slightly higher ABV (5.25%)  than your classic domestic. It’s your traditional dark brown porter with subtle hints of coconut and dark grains that make it both suitable for the tropical months of summer and warm enough to be a winter favorite.

5. Spaten Optimator Doppelbock Bier – Biergarten in EPCOT

When you visit Germany in World Showcase you expect great beer and this German classic won’t disappoint. Brewed by Spaten-Franziskaner this dark and nutty doppelbock really has a strong ABV. Coming in at 7.60% it will impress even the most discerning beer drinker. It’s smooth so you don’t really realize the strength that this beer has.  It has a medium body that really appeals to everyone and has some light caramel hints that disguise it’s strength.

4. Victory Golden Monkey – American Pavillion in EPCOT

Hailing from Downingtown, PA this Belgian style Tripel really makes you appreciate a Belgian style beer while in “America”.  This beer truly has it all. It has the rich notes of fruit and spice and finishes somewhere in between dry and sweet. This beer has an extremely high ABV at 9.5% so you should not underestimate this offering.

3. Mo’ara High Country Ale – Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

There are two beer offerings in the new land of Pandora at Animal Kingdom and two places to get them. When exploring the brand new land of Pandora you can either go to  Pongu Pongu or Satu’li Canteen. While Satu’li Canteen is a quick service restaurant it still offers seating, alcohol, and fabulous selections. Terrapin Brewery in Athens, GA brings you the exclusive offerings at Pandora. Both choices are fairly light and classic. Beer enthusiasts should try both, neither will disappoint. The Mo’ara High Country Ale is a bit darker and has a stronger flavor than the Grog Ale, their other offering. If you like your beer a bit darker you should select this one over the other.

2. Hawkes Grog Ale – Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Also from Terrapin Brewery in Athens, GA this blue/green colored beer is very appealing to the eye. It is smooth and classic, and will lure in a wide variety of different palates while invoking that special “Disney feeling” that only green beer in Pandora can bring as a new Disney favorite. If you are in the majority that prefers the classic American domestic beers that you are familiar with then you will love this selection. It’s light enough that you will not venture outside of your comfort zone while letting you enjoy and introduce subtle new tastes that only crafts can provide.

 1. Kungaloosh Spiced Ale – Asia, Animal Kingdom

Thirsty River Bar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers a true hidden gem with this unique beer. Kungaloosh Spiced Ale from Concrete Beach Brewery out of Miami was the most surprisingly amazing beer I have probably ever experienced at Walt Disney World Resort . If you truly appreciate a  unique beer then you may want to step outside of your comfort zone because I guarantee you will be impressed. No matter what kind of beer you normally gravitate towards, I cannot imagine anyone not giving this beer the credit it deserves. Take a sip, you will completely understand.

Every trip that you take to this magical place is a unique experience. It all depends on things like who you are with, the attractions and shows you choose to experience, and where you decide to stay and dine. It can be tiresome, hectic, and expensive but it will always be worth every bit of it. So when you choose to relax and take it all in then raise your glass and say “cheers” to another amazing vacation.

Beers Around the World

For the 21+ crowd, the magic continues at Walt Disney World with fine dining, impressive cocktails and a top-notch beer scene. Yes, really. Disney knows its beer. The resort has more than 275 cicerone-certified beer servers happy to guide beer lovers through a menu. One of the best ways to check out Disney’s beer game is at Epcot in the World Showcase. Guests can taste brews from around the world at 11 country pavilions, from a pub in the UK to frozen beer in Japan. Oh, and it’s always Oktoberfest over in Germany. Don’t miss the Mediterranean beers at Spice Road Table in the Morocco pavilion.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

Up your magic at Epcot and visit during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival . In addition to the permanent country pavilions, the festival features beer-heavy countries like Belgium and Ireland. The festival also features specialty brews such as Grasslands Green Kiwi Blonde and JDubs Honeydew Melon Kolsch. This year’s festival runs through November 12.

California Craft Brews in Central Florida

" BaseLine Tap House at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has an outstanding selection of California draft beers and cider," said Jason Cha-Kim, Disney’s Beverage Manager. Cha-Kim would know. He’s responsible for curating menus throughout the park and keeps up with trends in the beer world. For a taste of California, build a flight at Baseline with Golden Road 329 Lager and Hefeweizen, North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner, Angel City IPA and Ace Space Bloody Orange Hard Cider.

Try African and Asian Beers in Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has an emphasis on Asia and Africa and that sense of place continues even in the park restaurants. At the Nomad Lounge , you’ll find bottled beer from Thailand, Singapore, South Africa and Kenya, in addition to the park’s own African spice-inspired draft beer.

Themed Brews at Disney Resorts

Disney World is known for its immersive storytelling and even the beer is part of the story at Disney resort hotels. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge was inspired by the Pacific Northwest and you’ll find several Seattle beers on tap at the Geyser Point bar. Over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, you’ll find beers from Louisiana on tap such as Abita Amber Ale and Turbodog. And at the New England-inspired Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, you’ll find Samuel Adams Lager, Rebel IPA and other seasonal beers from Massachusetts on tap.

Raglan Road Irish Pub

Step into Raglan Road Irish Pub at Disney Springs and you’ll feel like you’ve left Central Florida for Ireland. "I recommend ordering the Raglan Road Signature Collection Beer Flight," said Cha-Kim, "and that includes Miriam’s Irish Coffee Stout, Bloomsday Pale Ale, Tri Wishes Grand Irish Red Ale and Planted Strawberry and Lime Cider."

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Beer

Hidden inside the new Maria and Enzo’s restaurant at Disney Springs, Enzo’s Hideaway features a tunnel bar with a speakeasy vibe. True to theme, you can order a Bourbon barrel-aged stout from brewer Goose Island.

Belgian Lambics at The Edison

One of the best things about Disney is trying new foods or drinks from other countries. At The Edison in Disney Springs, guests will find the famous Belgium-based Cantillon on the menu. The industrial, steampunk speakeasy features a rotating selection of Cantillon lambics such as the apricot-raised Fou’ Foune.

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Food and wine isn’t the only cool festival at Epcot. In the spring, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival features creative bites and sips inspired by the garden. This year’s festival included a sweet and sour Violet Lemonade Ale from Florida brewer Playalinda Brewing Company.

Beer + Sushi at Morimoto

Morimoto at Disney Springs is already known for unique pan-Asian cuisine, but now you can find a unique Asian-inspired beer on the menu. The Sakura Kolsch is dry hopped with cherry blossom tea and pairs nicely with Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s sushi.

5 Disney World Activities for Grown-Ups, From Cake Decorating to Sangria University

From a tequila tasting to a safari with snacks, foodies can experience it all at Disney World.

Megan duBois is a travel and food journalist who has traveled around the world in search of the best bites and experiences. She has been to three continents and countless countries seeking out new adventures to share with readers.

Walt Disney World

When you think of food at Disney World you may instantly think of Mickey Mouse-shaped treats, the iconic spring rolls from Magic Kingdom, or even Disney’s recent Michelin star win . While those things are all great, there’s a whole other world of food at Disney that most visitors are not aware of, and that’s hands-on foodie experiences. Think everything from wine tasting with a master sommelier to having lunch overlooking the savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you’re a foodie going to Disney World anytime soon, you’re going to want to make time for these five foodie experiences.

Learn how to taste wine with a master sommelier

Wine Bar George

Did you know that there are less than 300 master sommeliers in the entire world, and one of them has a restaurant right in the heart of Disney Springs? At Wine Bar George , you can take a 90-minute class with master sommelier George Miliotes to learn how to taste wine like a pro. Classes are on select days throughout the month and cost $110.

The class includes a blind tasting of six hand-selected wines that can range from $15 to $300 a bottle. Each wine selected varies by event, so there’s usually no overlap between one class and the next. Throughout the class, you can ask Miliotes as many questions as you want about wine and his experiences, plus enjoy a cheese and charcuterie board.

Take a cake decorating class at Amorette’s Patisserie

If you’ve ever seen the viral cake decorating videos on TikTok or Instagram and wanted to learn how to make your own, then step into Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs, which hosts daily cake decorating classes. The 90-minute small-group class allows you to step into the pastry shop and learn from a Disney pastry chef how to make the shop’s iconic dome cakes that resemble Mickey or Minnie Mouse. While you’re decorating your cake, you’ll be able to sip on coffee or tea. After the class is over, your dome cake is boxed up for you to take back to your accommodations to enjoy later in the day.

The class is $199 for two people decorating one cake, and reservations are required. Since the classes are at 9:15 a.m. each morning, the bakery is also happy to store your cake after the class so you can explore Disney Springs. Just be sure to pick it up before leaving.

Attend Sangria University at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Every Saturday and Sunday, Sangria University is held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. During the 90-minute class held at the resort’s Three Bridges Bar and Grill, you'll learn the history of the Spanish drink, then mix up your own custom sangria. The personalized drink includes your choice of base wine, fruit mix-ins, and a shot of secondary alcohol, like bourbon or gin, to swirl together. The class also includes a flight of four sangrias — red, white, rosé, and sparkling — for everyone to enjoy.

At the end of Sangria University, you’ll get recipe cards featuring the Three Bridges sangria recipes, which you already tried with the sangria flight. You’ll also get a certificate saying you went through the class and know how to make a good sangria. Prices for the class range from $69 to $79 per person and vary by date.

See the Harambe Wildlife Reserve from a new perspective with Savor the Savanna

Amy Smith / Walt Disney World

One of my favorite attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is Kilimanjaro Safaris where guests are put into safari vehicles to see the African animals. One unique way to see the animals that call the savannas of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve home is with the Savor the Savanna tour . The separately ticketed event starts at $189 per person and lasts about two hours.

The tour starts with a ride on a private safari vehicle just for guests doing the tour. During the ride, you’ll have an animal expert guide sharing all of the fun facts you could want to know about the creatures that live at the park and how they are cared for. Then you’re dropped off at an exclusive dining pavilion overlooking the savanna where you’ll indulge in a snack meal with cheese, meats, bread, hummus, curry chicken, other savory options, a selection of desserts, and a few beer and wine selections.

Taste tequila and mezcal from Mexico at Epcot

Agave-based spirits have a long and storied history, and at Epcot you can learn about that saga by signing up for La Cava Experience . The agave spirits tasting is led by a certified tequila ambassador, who guides you through a hand-picked selection of five tequilas and one mezcal. For true enthusiasts, this is exciting because some of the tequilas are not available anywhere else in the world but at this tasting.

During the $180, hour-and-a-half class, you’ll also have some snacks like guacamole and chips, but don’t let that be the only thing you eat or drink before or after the class. Since you’re tasting so many tequilas, be sure you go into the class with a full stomach.

Outstanding Orlando Boat Tours (2024)

Orlando boat tours are a fantastic activity in Central Florida, no matter the type of boating adventure you choose.

Some of the suggestions below are full-day tours, and others take mere hours. But all are a great way to spend your time in order to enjoy the Sunshine State’s beautiful scenery. And that could mean a wild ride in the Everglades or sailing sunset cruises on one of the Orlando area's attractive lakes.

We are sharing the best Orlando boat tours – private and group options – including scenic pontoon boat tours, airboat rides, kayaking, canoeing, sunset sails, and even boat rentals at Walt Disney World.

Disclosure: This post has affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you click the link and proceed with a purchase at no cost to you. We recommend experiences, hotels, products, and services we use and support. As Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases.

  • Book a sunset sailing tour in Orlando . It's our favorite type of boat tour, and Florida sunsets often show off for an audience!
  • Pin the image in this box or flip this post to Flipboard to save it for later.
  • See what to bring for Orlando boat tours so you are prepared to deal with the Florida bugs!

Orlando Airboat Rides

One of the things Florida is most known for is its famous airboat tours. Sign up for this fun adventure whether you’re in Fort Lauderdale or Miami, within Everglades National Park, or Orlando on Shingle Creek, on the headwaters of the Florida Everglades.

You won’t soon forget an exciting airboat ride when you visit the Orlando area, with a chance to see Bald Eagles and other endemic tropical birds, alligators, and crocodiles (maybe even a baby alligator).

Airboat rides are particularly popular amongst nature lovers. These special boats allow you to glide on the unique marshes and swampland of the Central Florida area. We thoroughly enjoyed our Florida airboat experience.

Sign up for a 90-minute fun and educational Orlando airboat tour to encounter the real Florida with experienced captains. Alternatively, secure your spot for a 1-hour sunset airboat tour and hope for one of Florida’s famous colorful sunsets.

Most airboat tours take place rain or shine. Just in case, we recommend traveling to Florida with a poncho or thin raincoat of some sort. Be sure to check in for your tour at least 30 minutes before the experience.

Orlando Boat Tour on an Airboat with Transportation

This tour includes pick up and drop off in Central Florida (including designated Disney World and Universal hotels), a BBQ lunch, a printed photo, and admission to their animal rescue Wildlife Park, where you can see birds, big cats, and reptiles.

The entire experience – from transportation to the boat ride – lasts around 7 hours, including the drive to and from the Everglades area. The Florida Everglades are approximately 45 minutes to an hour's drive each way from Orlando. Choose from a 30-minute or 60-minute airboat ride when you book your experience .

Orlando Sailing Tours

How about enjoying Orlando’s lakes with wind power? Sailing tours are the perfect way to glide on the water. And a sunset sail is incredibly romantic, to boot!

Private Morning Sail

Set sail on a 2-hour private sailing tour, starting at 10:00 am. Adventure awaits on Lake Fairview for up to four guests.

This area is just north of College Park near downtown Orlando and 15 minutes from Orlando’s Lieu Gardens. Don’t forget to bring towels if you want, though water is provided (and lakes are calm anyway, so you shouldn’t really get wet!).

Advanced reservations are required.

Private Lake Sunset Sail

Sail on Lake Fairview, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Orlando, 30-35 minutes from the Disney theme parks (including the Disney Springs area), and 25 minutes from Universal.

This 2-hour private Orlando boat tour can fit up to four people, and they allow you to bring your own snacks and beverages onboard. We recommend bringing a bottle of wine or champagne!

We recommend bringing along a wine tumbler set for your sailboat adventure!

Kayaking Tours

Connect with nature from the comfort of a kayak and get in some exercise too. Orlando boat tour options for kayaking are plentiful.

Kayak with Manatees

Head 45 minutes north of Orlando for your chance to kayak with manatees! These cute and friendly mammals are famous in the Sunshine State, where they come to enjoy the warm water for the winter.

Whether you’re a novice kayaking trying it for the first time, or an experienced pro, this tour is for you if you want to see a plethora of wildlife.

Check out this popular tour with 5-star reviews

Glass Bottom Boat Kayak Tours

If you want to see the fish below the water’s surface without snorkeling, sign up for a glass-bottom kayak tour. See through the bottom of the boat on this Orlando boat tour and have the chance to view the colorful fish and marine plant life beneath you.

Try a Rock Springs guided kayak eco-tour as you glide on the crystal-clear water for two hours. You’ll learn about the local ecosystem, stop for photos, and have the opportunity to swim in the springs. Opt to jump into the water from a rope swing for a thrill during this adventure.

You can also opt for a sunset tour in a glass-bottom kayak . Paddle through the Winter Park Chain of Lakes and canals in a peaceful setting. Your knowledgeable guide will point out interesting nature homes along the way and share some history of the area. You’ll also be able to stop for photos where you like!

This tour is likely to sell out: Reserve Now

Winter Park Evening Clear Kayak Glow in the Dark Tour

If you want to add a fun element to your kayaking adventure, sign up for a Winter Park kayak tour at night with a glow-in-the-dark kayak. The boats are illuminated with nighttime lighting!

They will surely be a good photo opp and fun outing as the lights make the water beneath you glow.

Another great option is this Neon Night Glow Paddleboard or Clear Kayak experience on Lake Ivanhoe.

This unique boat tour allows you to see Orlando’s skyline at night as you paddle along with the help of your guides, the moonlight, and the colorful lights beneath your kayak or paddleboard.

Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour

One of our favorite Orlando boat tours is in Winter Park. It was established in the 1930s, decades before Walt Disney World opened in Lake Buena Vista.

This pontoon boat tour starts near the well-known Park Avenue area. Set out on your scenic cruise from Lake Osceola to the Winter Park Chain of Lakes as your guide takes you through the manmade canals.

Sail past stunning homes in Winter Park, where you will have breathtaking views of the opulent private homes in the area (which is one of the reasons we enjoy the boat tour).

You will have a chance to see wonderful some of Florida’s beautiful birds, like Blue Herons and large cranes, as you travel on several lakes.

Each boat holds a maximum of 18 passengers. Be sure to bring cash or a check to buy your tickets because credit cards are not accepted. We advise purchasing tickets in the morning on weekends, even if you plan on going later in the day. It’s a very popular tour, and tickets often sell out quickly.

Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour is closed on Christmas Day. Otherwise, tours leave daily on the hour, starting at 10:00 am. The last tour is at 4:00 pm.

Day Trip Boat Tours from Orlando

While the Orlando boat tours listed above are within 30 minutes, on average, from Orlando, it’s worth mentioning there are more boat tour options nearby within a 2-hour drive. Here are some additional Central Florida boat tour options.

Mount Dora Lake Tours

One of our favorite destinations from Central Florida is 45 minutes north: the quaint town of Mount Dora . There’s so much to see and do there in the afternoon or morning; a boat tour is the best way to extend your trip to a whole day.

Take a 2-hour pontoon boat tour with a departure point at the historic hotel, the Lakeside Inn. Enjoy your leisurely cruise around Lake Dora and The Harris Chain of Lakes, including the famed Dora Canal.

The all-weather 25’ boats can cruise rain or shine thanks to their retractable clear covers for the sides of the boat. Choose from one of two daytime tours, or their third option to cruise during sunset.

Clearwater Beach with Dolphin Encounter Cruise

This 12-hour full-day tour begins with pick-up at 7:30 am. You’ll head west of Orlando to the popular Florida destination (Clearwater Beach), where you will take a cruise to encounter bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat.

While this means that you aren’t guaranteed to spot dolphins, your tour guide will do his or her very best to find them. You may see these beautiful mammals up close by the boat or further in the distance if they appear in the ocean. Part of the fun is the anticipation.

A one-hour dolphin tour boat ride is sandwiched between hours of free time on a Gulf Coast beach. For only $10 more, you can purchase a wristband for the boat ride that allows you to have unlimited beer, wine, and vodka punch.

Pickup and drop off are included at one of three major locations of your choice (Disney areas included). This means that all you have to do is sign up for the tour and be at that location for pick-up time.

Choose from the three pick-up locations listed below:

  • Walt Disney World area, on Epcot Resorts Blvd. (northern area of the parks)
  • Walt Disney World area, at Maingate Lakeside Resort in Kissimmee (area of the Disney World theme parks that is further south)
  • International Drive (close to Universal) at Senor Frogs

Clear Canoe Boat Tour Near Orlando at Silver Springs

This clear canoe boat tour is approximately halfway between Orlando and Gainesville at Silver Springs. The drive is approximately an hour and 45 minutes from downtown Orlando.

You’ll do a self-guided tour after the kayak company representative meets you and gives you a laminated map and some brief instructions. Paddle near Cypress Trees and see turtles, ducks, birds, and a chance to see manatees during the winter season, when they swim to Florida’s warm waters.

Dan and I often like to explore an area freely, on our own. Maybe you’re the same way! If so, this is a great tour for you in the Orlando area, as long as you can rent a car to get to the meeting point or take a taxi/Uber or Lyft there.

Orlando Boat Tours at Walt Disney World

Did you know that you can rent motorized boats at Disney World? It’s one of the best things to do at Walt Disney World, besides the parks.

Rent a Sun Tracker® Pontoon boat by the half-hour for up to 10 people. You can also opt to kayak or canoe from Fort Wilderness by the hour.

One of the most singular boat tours in Orlando, or perhaps anywhere, is an Amphicar boat tour. Be a passenger and the envy of all onlookers in a cool convertible car that drives right into the water. This experience is available at Disney Springs restaurant, The Boathouse.

Lastly, you can book a specialty cruise to see the fireworks. You don’t even have to be a hotel guest to do so! Snacks and soft drinks are included in a memorable cruise on a 25’ boat.

You can also request for a festive banner and/or balloons to be set up on the boat, which is included in the cost (request at the time of booking). It’s a great thing to do for you and your partner or up to 10 guests total, whether a proposal, anniversary treat, or family reunion.

What to Bring for Orlando Boat Tours

Florida's heat can be brutal, depending on the time of year. No matter the month, you definitely need to protect your skin from the sun. The sun in FL is strong, year-round.

Be sure to pack the following if you’ll be on the water in sunny Florida:

  • Refillable water bottle (the ice will stay intact for hours in the MiiR bottle, our favorite insulated wide-mouth bottle)
  • Reef-safe sunscreen
  • SPF lip balm
  • Eco-friendly bathing suit
  • Rash guard

Conclusion for Best Orlando Boat Tours

Whether you want to captain a boat yourself, row your way through Florida’s waters in a kayak, see gators on an educational airboat ride, or go on a romantic sailboat cruise around one of Central Florida’s lakes, an Orlando boat is a wonderful Florida activity.

It will connect you with nature, get you out in fresh air, and allow your body to absorb vitamin D in the Florida sunshine. Sign up for an Orlando boat tour and explore this southern state in a unique and adventurous way.
