Booked a Family Cruise last year For departure in may 2024 From Southampton to Fjords unfortunately we had a Death in the family a week before the cruise. Iglus were unhelpful, rude and did not help us to change the Dates or transfer the names As we didn't want to loose our hard earned money. This life Tragedy can happen to anybody anytime. Not only need we lost our £2200 and we also lost a Family member. We shall never book with Iglucruise again. Very poor service and cruel staff.

Unsure of Iglu's own policy pricing in name changes
We have been trying to change a passenger name, but have had huge problems with customer services not actually knowing the cost to change a passenger name. We were told the cost by one person by email, when we then tried to pay via telephone, the person on the telephone disputed the cost and then had to check the cost with somebody else, we have e-mailed several times since to pay, and are still waiting for somebody who actually knows what the costing in their own policy, hence leaving us in limbo. It doesn't instil confidence in the company when things don't go to plan.

Excellent customer service by call handler
We have just booked another cruise with IGLU for next year. The call handler (Chris) was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We asked for a call back the following evening at a specific time and he called us back exactly when he said he would. We have always found IGLU to be reliable and consistent and have confidence in our bookings with them.

Lovely lady
The lady was very pleasant and looked up several enquiries about the holiday that I asked about. To be honest she was very good. My only complaint would be in the literature that was sent to me advertising the holiday was very misleading. Giving the impression that several things were included which were not. Very disappointing. Eg drinks package, Wi-Fi and cabin spend. One would expect on a 32 day cruise that these would be included. Please look at your marketing literature.

Iglu are the best.
I have booked our last 4 cruises with Iglu. I usually deal with Paul Bowley. He is always very efficient and offers very good objective advice regarding the different cruise companies. He is very responsive and always gets back to me quickly. Plus so far no one has beaten Iglu on price.

Sent me several emails stating the the offers contained within were combinable. Booked a cruise on this basis but have not received the added discount. Emailed Iglu and they replied stating the offer was NOT combinable????. Questioned this TWICE and second email disappeared into a black hole as soon as you point out the offers were in fact combinable. Looks like I will have to resort to legal proceedings to get what I was promised.

So easy to book a cruise with Iglu
The call to Iglu was answered within 3 rings and the agent (Adam) was helpful and friendly from the outset. He answered all my queries regarding the cruise and stateroom that were interested in, and ultimately chose. (Yacht Club suite15014) Everything was completed and emailed to me whilst I was on the phone, including the discount we negotiated with him. Overall I couldn't fault the service.

Mis-sold a holiday, be very careful when booking!
We finished work and were going out to celebrate and we get an email from Antony informing us that there is no availability and that he will check in the morning. This is after confirming several times and taking full payment.
His supervisor (Dan) was so unhelpful and we are heart broken, as we were promised a holiday and told the booking was confirmed, together with giving full payment. Dan then tried to mis-sell by saying if there is a downgrade available he will book that for us, at a similar price or more! The balcony I informed him is still showing available on the Igloo site despite Celebrity's own website not showing availability.
Agents are mis-selling holidays so be very careful when booking. Iglu agents book you to get their sales numbers up and when I asked for it to be escalated at Director level, it was refused by Dan. Will be taking this to ABTA and Trading standards to expose them.

First of all I have to say I am not at all surprised you were lied to, although I am very disappointed that it happened to you. If I were you I would immediately tell me card provider what happened, emphasising that you have paid for a holiday that they cannot provide.
From this point on do not expose yourself to the possibility of sales staff lying to you over the phone. I suspect you are correct that they have targets to meet, bonuses and so on which serve to motivate some of them to get your money at all costs. And they know ful well that if it's not in writing anything they said is pretty much worthless.
Once you have your money back you can start again. Book online so you can take screenshots or in person where you can get print outs.
I am really sorry you have had a bad experience but hopefully you can turn this into something more positive which will benefit you going forward.
I had a run in with a TA who was 'tardy with a refund. Various excuses given.
Eventually I asked, very politely, for the name of the company secretary and when asked why I needed such information I told them it was a formality for the claim from the Small Claims Court ...
Less than a week later I received the refund.

Is Iglu still in ABTA? Many companies were starting to 'opt out' to avoid the ABTA regulations? The website is somewhat vague.
It is my understanding that ABTA has no legțal enforcement and membership is voluntary. They are a bit toothless

This has got to be a claim for Section 75 Consumer credit act if you paid by credit card!
Please say you paid by credit not debit card🤞
Just found out you can attempt to claim your money from bank if you paid debit card by “Chargeback”.
Covered by Visa, Mastercard and American Express but it is not a legal requirement like Section 75 of consumers act, so will be entirely up to your banks discretion

I had a large refund on my CC which was all 'credit' on the card as the balance was previously zero.
My bank said that I could not transfer the credit money from the CC to my current account?

Do not book with Iglu! 19 Dec 2023, 10:10. Mis-sold a holiday, be very careful when booking! Called and spoke to Antony to get information about our first cruise - Spice Route, India & Sri Lanka from Singapore to Mumbai with Stays, 5 February 2024 (18 nights).
