Background Info

Death Valley, with its sparse, desolate, yet hauntingly beautiful landscape, is one of the most extreme places on earth, and the Bundu Bus passes through there four times a week on the way to and from Yosemite and San Francisco. Death Valley is one of the places that the Bundu Bus gives a tour through, as it passes through the park, with frequent stops for photographs and to admire the views.

The Bundu Bus travels through Death Valley four times a week, twice on its way from Las Vegas to Yosemite, and twice on its way back. Please check out the route map to see exactly where we go, as the bus does not cover the entire park.

Please be aware that with the extremely hot temperatures at Death Valley it will generally be necessary to turn off the air conditioning in the vehicle as we climb the high hills out of Death Valley.  This is to minimize the chances of overheating, and you may be without air conditioning for a period between 15 and 45 minutes.  You can check out the schedule , routes , and make a reservation .

You can only make reservations to go from Las Vegas to Yosemite or Death Valley once on the four day, seven day and 14 day hop on, hop off pass.  You can only return from Yosemite or Death Valley to Las Vegas once on the four day, seven day and 14 day hop on, hop off pass. This is because this is the first year we are running this route and we suspect seating may be limited.

With the 30 day ticket you can go between Las Vegas and Yosemite twice, not once as detailed above.

In both cases, however, you are welcome to show up at the time when the vehicle is leaving, and if there is space you are welcome to use your hop on, hop off pass without limitation.

There are limited lodging options in Death Valley, if you choose to spend the night. They are generally expensive.  Please note that if we book your lodging at Death Valley for you we guarantee we will drop you off directly at the property. If you book it yourself you may be dropped at a central location, and have to find your own way there. Because we negotiate discounted rates from our suppliers we are often able to offer a lower rate than you could get yourself!

Badwater Basin is one of the most well-known places in Death Valley. The 200-square mile salt flat is the largest in the world, and Badwater is the lowest point in the country, at 282 ft below sea level. From there, you’ll go to Devil’s Golf Course , an expansive salt pan with jagged halite salt crystals. The large chunks of salt were left behind after Lake Manly evaporated, and the name ‘Devil’s Golf Course’ comes from the chaotic landscape it creates.

The next part of the tour is a scenic drive through Artist’s Palette , an area of the Black Mountains where the rock faces range in color from pink, red, and purple, to yellow, green, and gray. Next, your group will stop at Furnace Creek for a picnic lunch and some free time to explore the Visitor Center. There, you can learn more about the surrounding Furnace Creek area. Las Vegas – Death Valley tour reviews

Our experience in Death Valley was amazing! We visited in August, and while it was hot, it wasn’t unbearable. Just be sure to bring plenty of water!

We decided to go through the park on our own, and I would recommend spending two days here to see all the highlights. However, if you’re short on time  this 1-day   Death Valley tour from Las Vegas  is the best option.

We loved the views from Zabriskie Point and Dante’s View, as well as the colorful trek through the Artist’s Palette. Another must-see is Badwater Basin, although it’s one of the hottest parts of the park.

One of the most curious things we saw was Devil’s Golf Course, and it was lots of fun seeing it close-up as well as from above at Dante’s View. And, of course, we kept an eye out for desert critters like tortoises, wild rabbits, and coyotes.

Since we spent some more time here, we were able to see a few other attractions like the Mesquite Flat, the most famous dunes in the park. We wrote a guide on where to stay in Death Valley , in case you are planning to rent a car in Las Vegas and spend some more time in the park too.

If not, don’t worry, even during a short visit you can see some of the most incredible things in this national park. Again, a one-day  Death Valley tour from Las Vegas  is better than not visiting at all.

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

60 rides - 1900 RUB

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. You can get it back returning the card to the cashier.

SamsungPay, ApplePay and PayPass cards.

One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.

There are also signs on the platfrom. They will help you to havigate yourself. (To the lines 3 and 5 in this case).
