This Cult-Favorite Luggage Company Just Opened Its Second Boston Storefront In Back Bay

Grab some goodies to get, Away!

Ameera Hammouda

Away , the luggage brand conceived in 2016, just opened its second brick-and-mortar shop in Boston ! With the inaugural shop on Seaport Boulevard in Boston Seaport, the Away family grew to a lovely shop on Newbury Street in Back Bay !

If you’re unfamiliar with the “it” luggage brand, Away, here is the backstory. The founders spent much of their time traveling and were in search of the perfect Carry-On , with features such as a built-in charging bank and a hard-shell case. Unable to find it, they designed it themselves.

The signature suitcase that catapulted Away into the hands of millions was created “by travelers for travelers .” So, each Away product enables you to maximize usage of all the nooks and crannies of your luggage- no more sitting on suitcases.

Not only is Away luggage functional, being named the “#1 carry-on” since its inception in 2016, but the brand merges beauty with function. The ultra chic suitcases, and now expanded array of travel accessories, come in a variety of minimalist silhouettes and sophisticated colors. Boasting industry accolades like Fast Company’s “World’s Most Innovative Companies” and TIME’s “Best Inventions,” Away is the go-to authority for travelers today.

Go to one of the Boston stores and see what we mean for yourself!

As a testament to the success, we’ve experienced in the Seaport district, we’re thrilled to announce the opening of our second Away store in Boston’s Newbury area. This addition to our fleet reinforces our commitment to meeting our customers where they are and delivering meaningful experiences that inspire them to get away more. said Catherine Dunleavy, President of Away.

Fun store to visit, but I WON'T purchase anything from them again. I had bought multiple items from them in the past which were okay. But the Prince lighter I bought for $70, which is now selling for $95, for a lighter that price means it should last, was horrible. I used it a few times a week over two years and then it stopped working. I replaced all parts that I could to no avail, and reached out repeatedly for information on fixing it. The mangers said they would contact the buyer for info, but I never heard back. I found some lighter repair companies online and they informed me that Japanese lighters are not repairable. A waste of $70. Since it is a crappy product, I asked for a credit towards something else and they offered me $5. They even commented it looked brand new. They lost a repeat customer by being cheap. I won't visit again.

Rosa helped me over the phone when I needed Frixion ink refills and I couldn't find them anywhere online. She shipped for free and was super upbeat and kind. Great customer experience and I love this pen! Pic is of the amazing Itoya pen with Frixion ink and its friction-based eraser!

I have purchased one item from this store previously that I have no complaints about. My partner bought me slippers for Christmas from here that were $60, however, and they have fallen apart and are unwearable after one month. The heels on both have worn completely through to the floor. I contacted customer service to get a replacement or refund and have not heard back after a week and a half. Just $60 down the drain. They were my first pair of slippers ever, too. :(

This past weekend I went into the Topdrawer Newbury Street store looking for a Mercato bag. Unexpectedly, I fell in love with the Spruce colored one that was not in stock in any of the stores in Massachusetts. Liam and Izzy went over and above and beyond and found me the Mercato bag that I wanted in Spruce after making several phone calls, they found one and had it shipped to me from one of the Topdrawer Chicago stores. Awesome store and products, wonderful service, excellent associates! Thanks Izzy and Liam for all your help, I can't wait to get my Mercato bag!!!!!!!!

I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. By chance I wandered in looking for a birthday gift. The sales associate walked me through several options. She even offered to customize and gift-wrap my selections for me, perfect since I was on vacation. Amazing selection, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Highly recommend.

I'm in town this week to visit some friends and today my family decided to do some shopping down on Newbury street. I was delighted when I found this adorable little shop! They have slippers, stationery, pens, Polaroid, bags, all very nice quality stuff! The employees were very friendly and they made some recommendations about art supplies after I asked! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of every thing. I walked away with a very nice new pen and a beautiful notebook/sketchbook that I am so excited to use! If you are in the neighborhood and love stationery and all things cool, this place is definitely for you!

If your familiar with the Japanese brand Muji, you'll be right at home here. Streamlined modern work and travel accessories like Bruan clocks, tons of pens and notebooks, cards, design and travel, Books, backpacks and bags and small containers of all sorts Really great to browse. If you like Black Ink in beacon hill / Harvard this is your kinda store.

Simon and Kate were a delight. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, except EVERYTHING. Left with an insightful book, "How to Live Japanese."

Photo of Kassia L.

Topdrawer is a newcomer to the Newbury St. scene, billed as a Japanese "travel goods" store focusing on items for travel and the nomadic life. A branch of the famous Japanese stationery giant Itoya, and already in existence in San Francisco and Japan, it's a gamechanger for hard-to-find and one-of-a-kind fine stationery, gifts, and office items in Boston, following the Japanese aesthetic, though not all items are made in Japan. The store has a clean, smart set up with an electric mix of items including modern bento boxes, cute Japanese house slippers, sleek travel accessories, Kolo albums, curated travel books, journals, cards, pens, small stylish containers, and tiny macaron erasers that you can take apart and "build your own" with the 2 cookies and the filling! Why would you need a tiny macaron eraser that builds and comes apart like Legos? - who knows but it is sure to bring someone (or you) joy. Prices range from surprisingly expensive (probably owing to a combination of superior workmanship and also factoring in the import cost from Japan - on some of the items you can see the Japanese price sticker beneath with the cost in Japanese yen) to very affordable. Staff are very friendly and go to lengths to help you with the questions you have about their products. Overall, the idea is very interesting and I hope this store will be successful. Check this store out if you love stationery, office supplies, and organization, if you are traveling or planning to travel, or if you just plain love Japanese things!

I walked in one day because I was curious to see what was inside. I was greeted by nice workers and beautiful decor. I like the Japanese and European style products. A little pricy but good quality. Nice store if you travel a lot. Great for gifts too. It is like a nomad-store. Overall I really liked it and it is very clean and cute.

The Best Places for Shopping in Boston

travel store in boston

Whether you are in downtown  Boston  or in the suburbs, there are plenty of shopping destinations, including upscale department stores, quirky gift shops, and more. Holiday gifts, clothes, accessories, housewares, and electronics—you can find it all in the Boston area.

Within the city of Boston, head to Newbury Street, the Prudential Center or Copley Place. Here you'll find everything from boutique shops to high-end luxury retailers and plenty of spots to eat and drink as well.

And if you find yourself in the suburbs or with a car, there are now several indoor and outdoor shopping plazas to experience, many of which have movie theaters, fitness studios, and more. These include destinations both north and south of the city, including the new Assembly Row, Patriot Place, and the Burlington Mall.

Newbury Street & Boylston Street

TripSavvy / Violet Smirnova

Arguably the most popular shopping streets in Boston are Newbury Street and Boylston Street, located in the Back Bay. On Newbury Street, you’ll find high-end shops, local boutiques, and a variety of restaurants. It’s here you’ll get a feel for this historic shopping district, as the street is lined with beautiful brownstone buildings.

Parallel to Newbury Street is Boylston Street, which also has several shops and restaurants. You can also enter the Prudential Center from Boylston Street. And in between Newbury Street and Boylston Street, you’ll find larger retail stores such as TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack.

Prudential Center

Paul Marotta / Contributor / Getty Images

On Boylston Street and Huntington Avenue, you’ll find the main entrances to the Prudential Center , Boston’s most well-known skyscraper. If you’re taking the MBTA , you can get right to the Prudential Center via the Green Line’s Prudential stop. Here you have the option of shopping at over 40 different stores, ranging from department stores like Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue, to Lululemon Athletica and Sephora. Several of the shops rotate every so often, and there are also smaller-scale pop-ups in the middle of the mall.

The Prudential Center also has more than 20 places to grab a bite to eat, with one of the most recent additions being Eataly, a 45,000-square-foot Italian marketplace with 4 restaurants, a wine bar, and lots of counters to pick up something to eat. You can also take a break from shopping and head up to the  Skywalk Observatory  or  Top of the Hub  to get some of the best views of Boston.

Copley Place Mall

Courtesy of Copley Place

In the heart of Copley Square,  Copley Place  is Boston's most upscale mall. This is where you go if you're looking for a new pair of Jimmy Choos, a suit from Barneys, copper pots from Williams-Sonoma, or a new Tory Burch handbag, among other luxe finds.

Take the MBTA Orange Line to Back Bay Station, then just cross the street to the mall—there’s even an underground tunnel that’s quite convenient during the winter months. You can also access Copley Place through a skywalk from the Prudential Center or via the Marriott or Westin hotels. If you park in the mall's parking garage, you can get your pass validated for $12 if you spend $10 or more and are there for a max of three hours.

Charles Street

Violet Smirnova

If you find yourself strolling through Boston’s picturesque Beacon Hill neighborhood , stop by the shops along Charles Street. This is where you’ll find 15 clothing boutiques with local charm, along with several restaurants and bars. Popular stores include Crush Boutique for designer apparel, Follain for natural beauty products, and Red Wagon for clothing and toys for the kiddos.

To get here, take the MBTA Red line to the Charles/MGH stop. Charles Street is also easily walkable from popular tourist destinations such as the Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, and Newbury Street.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Instants / Getty Images

This is an incredibly popular shopping destination in Boston, especially for tourists. This historic area has been around since 1742 and today sees more than 18 million annual visitors from all over the world.

Aside from Quincy Market, where you can shop various kiosks and grab a bite to eat, there are many popular stores such as Gap, Urban Outfitters, and LOFT. If you’re looking to buy some Boston gear, visit one of the pop-up pushcarts in the square or Best of Boston store.

The Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a short walk from the MBTA ’s Aquarium and Government Center stops, but it’s so centrally located that you can walk to it from a variety of other stops as well. For example, it's a nice walk from the city's Fort Point and North End neighborhoods that you'll likely also want to check out while in town.

Downtown Crossing

travelview / Getty Images

Downtown Crossing isn’t exactly known for luxury shopping, but it is becoming more of a go-to destination as new condo buildings and stores are built up. This is where the city’s giant Macy’s is located, along with stores like TJ Maxx, Old Navy, and Primark. Today, there are more than 200 retailers and 300 independent jewelers in Downtown Crossing.

There’s also now a Roche Bros grocery store that has become a convenient spot for those living or working in the city, as well as people who are visiting. This area, which is easiest to get to via the MBTA Downtown Crossing (Red or Orange Line) or Park Street (Green or Red Line) stops, is more of a daytime destination, as it’s where many locals that work in the city go to get their shopping done.

Harvard Square

Violet Smirnova

Just outside of Boston proper is Harvard Square in Cambridge, located nearby the Harvard University campus. But this section of the city isn’t just for students, as locals from both the city and suburbs head to this area to shop and dine out at bars and restaurants. Harvard Square is more hipster than Newbury Street, with stores like Newbury Comics, Goorin Bros Hat Shop, and The Gap.

There are also plenty of independent boutiques where you can pick up unique souvenirs and knick-knacks. If you’re looking for more upscale shopping, try Mint Julep or The Tannery. Harvard Square is accessible by the MBTA Red Line via the Harvard Station stop, and there are plenty of buses that will get you there, too.

SoWa Open Market

In Boston’s South End neighborhood is the SoWa Open Market, an outdoor marketplace that is open on Sundays from late May through October. Here you’ll find over 150 local vendors of all kinds, from food and beers, to boutique clothing shops, and gourmet dog treats. It’s a celebration of local makers that brings the community together, oftentimes with activities like free music. There are always food trucks on-site that are a great way to try out local eateries in one spot.

Extra bonus: the market is dog-friendly, so go ahead and bring your four-legged friend along. The SoWa Open Market is a short walk from the MBTA Back Bay Station off the Orange Line, as well as Broadway Station off the Red Line. There are also $10 parking lots nearby on Albany Street, Harrison Avenue, and Randolph Street.

CambridgeSide

RiverNorthPhotography / Getty Images

A short walk from the  Green Line MBTA station , CambridgeSide  – formerly known as the CambridgeSide Galleria – is a quick stop for city dwellers to hit major mall retailers such as H&M, Old Navy, Ann Taylor, TJ Maxx, among many others.

You can also get here by taking a free shuttle from Kendall Square or a $2  EZ Ride shuttle  from North Station, Kendall Square, or Cambridgeport. Alternatively, parking at the on-site garage starts at $1.99 per hour and goes up to $20 maximum for five hours or more.

Burlington Mall

As you head outside the city, there are several traditional malls, with the Burlington Mall being one of the most popular, easily accessed off Route 128 in nearby Burlington. This mall might look familiar to movie buffs: It was the setting of the 2009 hit movie  Paul Blart: Mall Cop . Department stores include Lord & Taylor, Macy's, and Nordstrom. It also has a huge Crate & Barrel outpost that's a destination in itself – perfect for those putting together wedding registries or redecorating a home. If you're bargain hunting, check the Burlington Mall's  deals website  before you go to get the latest promotions and coupons available.

The mall is currently in the early stages of a redevelopment project, so you can expect more modernization out of this shopping destination in the coming years. The area around the Burlington Mall has grown over the years, with a plaza next to the mall that has newer restaurants including Island Creek Oyster Bar, Tuscan Kitchen, and Tavern in the Square.

The suburbs got an upgrade when the Natick Mall underwent an extensive renovation in the late 90s/early aughts. Reopen since 2007, the Natick Mall caters to greater Boston's most stylish clientele and regularly hosts fashion shows, beauty events, and cooking classes. Key retailers include Anthropologie, Burberry, and Neiman Marcus, among more than 200 others (from a store count perspective, Natick is New England's largest mall). Located off Route 9, the Natick Mall has underground and garage parking, traditional lot parking and valet.

Assembly Row

Courtesy of Assembly Row

Just outside of Boston, several outdoor shopping plazas are popping up. One popular destination a few exits north of the city off I-93 N is  Assembly Row  in Somerville. In the past few years, this area has been transformed into a village of outlet stores with everything from J.Crew to Nike, along with an AMC movie theater and even LEGOLAND. There are also plenty of restaurants to choose from while you're shopping, such as Earls Kitchen + Bar, Fuji at Assembly, and a Legal on the Mystic.

If you're looking for a hotel to stay at, you can even do that here with the new The Row Hotel at Assembly Row. And don't forget to schedule a workout class while you're visiting, as there is now FitRow with lots of studio class options. You can also play all sorts of arcade games and bowl at Lucky Strike.

Legacy Place

Courtesy of Legacy Place

In Dedham, you'll find  Legacy Place , a 675,000-square foot open-air shopping center with more than 75 retailers, including Anthropologie, L.L. Bean, Lululemon, and Apple. Here you'll also find workout classes like SoulCycle, a Showcase Cinema de Lux, and a Whole Foods Market. Legacy Place is located 25 minutes outside of Boston, just off of 128/I-95 on Route 1.

Derby Street Shops

Courtesy of Derby St Shops

South of the city are the  Derby Street Shops  in the town of Hingham, complete with 65 stores and restaurants. Stores include Crate & Barrel, Banana Republic, Vineyard Vines, and much more. There is also a Whole Foods Market here to get your grocery shopping in, along with Burtons Grill, CAVA, Rustic Kitchen and several other restaurants.

The Derby Street Shops are right off Exit 15 on I-93 North and South. There's usually a bit of traffic leading up to the exit, but it's nothing that should keep you from visiting. But do keep in mind that going south on I-93 on a summer Thursday or Friday will result in lots of traffic, so check before you go!

South Shore Plaza

Courtesy of South Shore Plaza

Also south of Boston off of I-93 in Braintree off of Exit 6 is the South Shore Plaza, a traditional shopping mall anchored by department and clothing stores, including Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Target, and Primark. There are more than 200 shops, ranging from Apple and Sephora, to Primark, Banana Republic, and J.Crew.

When you’re done shopping, there are 10 different full-service restaurants to dine at, including Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse and California Pizza Kitchen. For fun that goes beyond shopping and eating, head to Dave & Busters.

Patriot Place

Courtesy of Patriot Place

If you’re in town for a New England Patriots game, combine your football visit with some shopping in the area. Gillette Stadium is located a little bit outside the city in Foxboro in an area that was once essentially only the stadium, but there’s now a full plaza with plenty of places to shop, eat, drink, and play. For shopping, you'll find shops such as Trader Joe’s, Ulta Beauty, to Vineyard Vines, Olympia Sports, and Charming Charlie. Here you can even play Topgolf, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, including CBS Sporting Club, Davio’s, and Scorpion Bar.

If you're not in the area for an event, you’ll want to check for big events at Gillette Stadium to avoid traffic. Coming from Boston, you’ll take I-93 South to I-95 South to Exit 9 onto Route 1 Routh. There you’ll just follow the signs for about 3 miles to Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium.

Wrentham Village Premium Outlets

Courtesy of Wrentham Village Premium Outlets

If you’re looking for an outdoor shopping center full of outlets, the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets is your spot. This is New England’s largest outdoor shopping center, with over 170 stores that feature something for everyone. Find deals at Off Saks, Tory Burch, Lululemon, Vineyard Vines, and the Nike Factory Store.

If you have a AAA card, check in at the visitor’s center when you arrive to get a packet of discounts to save even more money on your purchases. And you can also join their VIP Club to get their Savings Passport and other savings.

To get to the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, which are located 35 miles south of Boston, take exit 15 off of I-495.

travel store in boston

Whether you’re just visiting or you live down the block, don’t miss these indie bookstores in Boston.

There is a lot to see and do in Boston, especially if you love to read. Boston might be one of the most bookish cities in the country and an excellent place for book lovers to visit while on the east coast.

Bookstores in Boston can be found on some of the most historic streets in the heart of downtown or snug and cozy in one of its surrounding neighborhoods. You’ll find Black-owned bookstores, women-owned bookstores, and some shops that have been around for over 100 years.

Here are some of the best indie bookstores in Boston.

1. brattle book shop .

9 West St, Boston, MA 02111

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Brattle Book Shop (@brattlebookshop)

You CANNOT go to Boston without visiting one of America’s oldest and largest used book shops.

Brattle Book Shop is a staple in Boston and for good reason. Sitting right in the heart of downtown, Brattle is a three-story building that carries over 250,000 books, maps, prints, and postcards. You can go here to hunt for used books, out-of-print books, and sought-after first editions and collectibles. Peep this IG post for a look at their outdoor section & mural from when Joe and I visited.

2. Commonwealth Books

Downtown Crossing – 9 Spring Lane Boston, MA 02109

Tucked conveniently away off of a main street in downtown you can find Commonwealth Books. There are over 40,000 titles ranging from used books to medieval manuscripts. With a focus on books on subjects like poetry, decorative arts, history, and literature, it won’t be hard to find something worth your while in this cozy Boston bookstore.

3. Harvard Bookstore

Harvard Book Store 1256 Mass Ave

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Harvard Book Store (@harvardbookstore)

If you’re in the Harvard area, you’ll have to take a break from peeking in on lectures and taking in the architecture to check out Harvard Book Store. This locally owned and independently run bookstore has been a landmark in Cambridge since 1932. Its gorgeous design will easily draw you in from the street, but it’s the books that’ll keep you there.

Don’t worry, they’re not just selling textbooks at this spot. With thoughtful curation and thousands of titles filling their shelves, you shouldn’t be surprised if you find yourself spending an hour or so browsing around. You can also fill your time by attending one of their numerous author events that feature some of the most notable authors in the world.

4. More Than Words Warehouse Bookstore

242 E Berkeley St, Boston, MA 02118

This non-profit bookselling businesses doesn’t just sell books, they also fund youth development programs. All of the proceeds from this amazing place go to job training and youth development programs. It’s also run by local youth!

So if you’re looking to buy books and support an amazing cause at the same time More Than Words Warehouse Bookstore is the place to go.

5. Papercuts J.P

60 South St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130

View this post on Instagram A post shared by PAPERCUTS BOOKSHOP (@papercutsjp)

If you’re in or around the Jamaica Plain neighborhood in Boston, then you’ll HAVE to visit Papercuts Bookshop. This award-winning, woman-owned independent has been open since 2014, and it was created by a woman who worked at Little, Brown for a decade before.

They’ve hosted some of the most notable names in the literary world for their readings, and they currently run a house imprint called CUTLASS PRESS where they publish books and anthologies. They also have a pretty amazing gift section where you could find some great literary gifts!

6. Frugal Bookstore

57 Warren St, Roxbury, MA 02119

Frugal bookstore is the only Black-owned bookstore in Boston. This community bookstore is located in Roxbury and is driven by their passion to promote literacy with children, teens, and adults in the area. They feature new books only, so don’t be surprised to see some of the latest and greatest books on the market on their shelves.

7. Trident Booksellers & Cafe

338 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02115

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Trident Booksellers & Cafe (@tridentbooks)

Located on one of the busiest and best shopping streets in Boston, trident Booksellers & Cafe is an easy stop to add to any tourist trip. It is a thriving cafe on one side and a super browsable bookshop on the other.

In other words, it’s a reader’s dream scenario. You can grab a bite to eat, pick up a book, and read it while you sip on a hot beverage.

8. Brookline Booksmith

279 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446

Brookline is one of my favorite places in the Boston area, and the Booksmith is a big part of that.

This indie bookstore has been family-owned and locally run since 1961 and has been an amazing community space since then. Back in 1961, they opened under the name Paperback Booksmith, with a mission to get the East Coast to recognize that “serious” books could also be printed in paperback. Before that, paperbacks mostly features westerns and nurse stories.

Since then the Brookline Booksmith has become one of the first books to display books by category rather than publisher and continues to make great strides to bring great books to everyone who walks through their doors. They even host a small press book club , which you know I’m getting behind!

9. Grolier Poetry

6 Plympton St, Cambridge, MA 02138

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Grolier Poetry Book Shop (@grolierpoetry)

Poetry lovers will rejoice that such a place as Grolier Poetry exists in the Boston area. Since 1927, this poetry-focused bookshop sells modern, classic, and the latest contemporary poetry . You can find them in the heart of Cambridge right off of Harvard square and pick up some some poetry to read while you’re taking in the area.

10. I AM Books

124 Salem St, Boston, MA 02113

View this post on Instagram A post shared by I AM Books (@iambooksboston)

I AM Books is not your typical bookstore. Labeled as an Italian American cultural hub, the books you’ll find here are predominantly fiction and nonfiction by Italian and Italian Americans, books in Italian, and cookbooks and books on travel. This unique bookstore shines a light on Italian writing and should not be missed if you’re visiting bookstores in Boston.

Where Bostonians are using points to travel to this summer

By Courtney Cole

May 10, 2024 / 9:46 PM EDT / CBS Boston

BOSTON - A point redemption website is looking at where Bostonians are planning to travel this summer. The results from the Point.me show there is a great divide when people are paying with frequent flyer points versus cash.

The point.me search engine looks at a person's credit card points and helps get the best redemption for travel.

Cashing in points

Looking at 7.4 million searches locally, the website found most Bostonians wanted to cash in points for summer 2024 to travel to London, Paris, and Rome.

Gilbert Ott with Point.me says, "London in the summer the city really comes alive. You've got all the sporting events. You've got, Wimbledon. There's often some cricket, which is fun for lots of international crowds. The weather is briefly great."

Paying with cash

Now the top destinations for summer 2024 changed when Point.me looked at what Bostonians searched for when they were paying for airline seats with cold hard cash. The top destinations were New York City, Las Vegas, and Dublin.

"I think New York is great," Ott said. "I personally think if you're going to go, end of summer is better than midsummer. Catch the US Open, Fashion Week and all the good things that happen in September."

Point.me finds most of their users who are cashing in points are trying to use them for business class where they can sleep in lie-flat seats and drink champagne before takeoff.

"I think people really love that idea of this dream state of if money didn't matter, and I could go somewhere special, and I didn't have to think about how much the flight costs, where would I go? And so, I think there's a lot of truth in where people want to go with their points tells us where people really want to go in general," said Ott.

If you are looking to cash in those miles, the website recommends you either book them really early or last minute. Airlines looking to sell off excess inventory can have great mileage redemptions within 72 hours of departure.

Boston 25 Now

Happy Mother’s Day!

SUNDAY FORECAST

We’ve had a little bit of sunshine this morning, but now clouds are taking over and will be with us through most of the daytime hours. Temperatures are still running a bit cooler for this time of year with highs in the upper 50s at the coast and 60 inland. A spot shower is possible this afternoon, but most of us will stay dry.

AURORA SIGHTINGS POSSIBLE

If you didn’t get a chance to see the spectacular sight of the Aurora Borealis Friday night, we do have another chance tonight. Auroras can be hard to forecast, just keep that in mind. Right now, space experts are forecasting a solar storm rated as a G4/G5 (severe/extreme). Clouds that will be with us throughout the day on Sunday will be thinning out just in time tonight. We will share any updates on this as soon as we get them!

Temperatures will be warming this week with 60s Monday and 70s by Tuesday. There will be a few storm systems nearby that will bring clouds our way, and the potential for some showers. Right now it looks like we will have a lot of dry times too. The best chance for rain is on the way Wednesday thanks to an area of low pressure nearby. With any changes to the track or location of these storms, this will also have an impact on our local rain chances. You’ll want to check back in for the latest on this potentially unsettled weather this week.
