By Boat: Singapore is an island so getting around on a boat can be a popular option, rides down the Singapore River from point to point can cost approximately S$3 or longer cruises cost about S$13. You can get a shuttle boat to Pulau Ubin from Changi Village for around S$2.50. There are options to visit the Southern Islands of Singapore from the Marina South Pier.

Located at the Singapore Expo, there are two activity shuttle zones to explore. At Zone one, visitors can snap photos with Astronaut mascots and planetariums. You can also join interactive workshops like Planet Creation or Build-A-Rocket with your little ones.

ArtScience Museum’s Future World exhibition has recently unveiled three new permanent installations by teamLab — its most extensive refresh since its debut in 2016!

Autonomous Abstraction: Continuous Phenomena From The Universe To The Self  

Inspired by the spontaneous order phenomenon , this artwork features colourful dots blinking in individual cycles and synchronising when near each other. But when touched, they disperse with a sound. 

Aerial Climbing Through A Flock Of Coloured Birds 

Step onto this 3D installation of colourful hanging bars and watch as they become brighter and emit a sound unique to their colour. The bars are all linked so as people navigate across them, it affects other people’s interaction with the artwork too. 

Sketch Flight

Lastly, Sketch Flight allows you to see the world from the perspective of a hawk, butterfly, or aeroplane (whichever you prefer). All you have to do is sketch it on paper and watch it come to life on the screen.

5) Singapore’s First Children’s Museum Opens — Free Admission till 31 Mar 2023

Singapore’s first-ever museum dedicated to children of ages 12 and below has opened its doors. The Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG) will function as a “starter museum” for young visitors to the museum-going experience.

Children can get to learn about Singapore’s heritage and culture through the hands-on interactives at the museum.

The CMSG features a permanent exhibition — A Voyage Back in Time, which spans four galleries on the ground floor. There are also three special galleries that will be refreshed regularly.

6) Holly Jolly Christmas at Capitol Singapore & CHIJMES

If you’re looking for a wintry Christmas experience in tropical Singapore, head over to Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES.

From now till 26 December, there’ll be an array of Christmassy activities put up at Capitol Singapore. There’ll be a European-themed Christmas market, carolling at the iconic Singing Tree, and even “snowfall” that happens every half an hour.

7) Rifle Range Nature Park — Explore Singapore’s newest nature park

Singapore has a new nature park — Rifle Range Nature Park , a 66-hectare buffer park of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Parkgoers can explore the nature park via a network of boardwalks and trails, and stop by several photo-worthy spots for that ‘gram of achievement.

There are six trails with distances ranging from 113m to 842m long, passing wetlands, quarries, and wildlife habitats.

For parkgoers who are looking for a more rustic hiking experience, there are the Banyan (647m) and Gaharu Trails (842m) beneath the grove of the banyan trees. And for parents who wish to bring their young ones on a nature expedition, there’s the Forest Exploration Trail (113m) with logs and boulders for children to hone their balancing skills.

If you aren’t heading to Japan anytime soon, this Donki at Jewel Changi could be a nice—and cheap—alternative.

Donki’s first-ever halal corner has more than 100+ halal Japanese products that include snacks, noodles, beverages, and cooking ingredients.

Making its first global stop out of Japan, The Doraemon Exhibition is here in Singapore from 5 Nov 2022 – 5 Feb 2023!

Catch your favourite blue robot cat at the National Museum of Singapore, in the form of original manga drawings by author Fujiko F Fujio and contemporary artworks by both local and Japanese artists.

The artworks reinterpret Doraemon in our changing world and one highlight is a 2m-tall Doraemon display by artist Sebastian Masuda — decorated with items like lego bricks and cute accessories.

One could experience over 30 carnival games and rides such as the 3D Shooting Range, Boat Ride and Dino Kart 3.0 which could be played with credits. These credits can be earned through a 1-to-1 conversion rate (S$1 = 1 credit), or by spending a minimum of S$50 (S$80 for supermarkets and Jewel).

Orchard Road

Shopaholics, look no further than Orchard Road. This retail mecca is an urban paradise. Staying here, right in the heart of Singapore, will give you immediate access to the countless stores, eateries, attractions, and facilities that Orchard Road has to offer. You can literally shop ‘til you drop because your room is right there ready to catch you. Big hotel brands here include Holiday Inn, Pac Pacific, Hilton, and Marriott.

Little India

The accommodation options in Little India tend to be boutique and quirky, much like the area's shop houses with their colourful shopfronts. Bras Basah Road

Located just minutes from Orchard Road, Bras Basah Road accommodation offers a less frenetic place to stay that's still very much central. The world-renowned Carlton Hotel Singapore and Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapore are both found here. When you stay on Bras Basah Road, many fantastic attractions will be within walking distance, including the National Museum of Singapore, the Peranakan Museum, and Fort Canning Park.

The Colonial District

The heart of downtown Singapore, the Colonial District is noteworthy for its architecture and for being the home of the world-famous Raffles Hotel (named after the city's founder, Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles). This is a great place to stay in Singapore if you want to be close to everything. For example, the Asian Civilisations Museum and National Gallery will be within walking distance.

Chinatown is a thriving area full of markets, restaurants, shops, people, and some fascinating temples. Best known as a popular layover destination, most visitors to Singapore may not make it outside the world-class Changi Airport.
