A royal tour with the king himself

We booked this tour as we'd read great things about David online. He responded quickly and the booking process was simple and straight-forward. His instructions on where to find him were easy to follow. Since cruise ships need to tender in Belize, it can be a bit of a process to get off the ship and to town in time for your tour. David guided us himself and he took excellent care of us. The lunch provided was tasty and a welcome glimpse into local cuisine. He answered every question and was super nice to our son. I highly recommend this. Why not five stars? We had book a private tour but had another couple in our van. While they were friendly, we ended up spending a lot of time waiting for them to take their precious selfies and my family was relegated to the back seat in the van where hearing was limited. I'm sure there were good reasons, but not what we'd booked.

Greetings, Every review is important. For the most part , most review help us to understand our customers need more and more . We know we can’t please everyone even if we go above and beyond It is important to mention that your confirmation details we sent you for your tour on Christmas day 2019, was never private . Normally , I do emphasize with capital letters the word PRIVATE when my guest book their tour as private. It was your assumption that you had ask for a private tour .if you wanted a private tour , then you should have paid more for that tour . Furthermore , most small groups of 2 and 3 guest who book a private tour , are informed via email depending on their exchange emails , that if on the day of the tour , i am able to join them with another small group then then the price will have a discount per person . Your tour was never delayed. because of the selfies . Your tour was carried out within the same time frame we had scheduled. No rush tour . While some people really appreciate other people’s culture , others just want see it and consider it one and done . If you do ever visit , Belize again , we would be happy to take you back on tour , but we will quote you accordingly. if you want a private tour , then we will be happy to take you once you pay the price . But sometimes , things are beyond our control, and we have to find solutions to make everything work accordingly .

I am sooo glad I found King David tours. I did a lot of research and wanted to find someone that could accommodate a private tour since my family are not great travelers. David was great communicating through Facebook and answered all my questions. He was already booked for that day so he had another tour guide give us the tour, I forget his name but he was great. We were a little late off the cruise ship but he was there waiting for us smiling. He gave us tons of information going to Altun Ha Ruins and gave history on Belize. Lunch was included but we had been recommended a lunch place that we really wanted to try and he was able to change plans and take us there. We skipped going to the monkey sanctuary because we were all so tired but we felt like we got such a good experience. Great tour and great company. Will book again when we come back. In December 2019 we planned an adult family trip to Belize. We booked an all day tour with King David for zip lining, cave tubing and Mayan ruin tour. It had been raining consistently so the caves were too full to tube in. David informed us of this upfront and provided options to substitute. He was the most informative and accommodating tour guide. There were nine of us and everyone was very pleased with our day. At the end of the day David heard us talking about the Belize sign and wanting pictures. So on the way to the airport he surprised us with a stop at the sign! When I return again I will be sure to book with King David tours and be sure to recommend him to others visiting!!

King David responded to all my emails quickly and with plenty of information to make this a strees free visit. King David told us where to get off ship and meet him, how to pay (cash on day of trip), We left the ship at the very earliest and got to the Altun Ha Ruins long before 3 bus loads of cruise ship passengers. We had the place almost to ourselves, made for nice p ics without 100 of our best friends in. (ha) Then we had a nice lunch of chick, rice and beans. On to the Howler Monkey Sanctuary, which was a highlight of our trip. We fed Howler Monkeys in the wild. Stopped at Belize sign for pictures. He even tried to find a post office to drop my postcards....but traffic was crazy so I just left with him to mail. If you like history King David knows his stuff. He is passionate about Belize. I highly recommend him.

We just completed an awesome Thanksgiving cruise vacation and the best excursion by far was of the Lamanai ruins in Belize. For this excursion, I researched all the companies (decided not to use Carnival) and we set with King David for a smaller group size and more personal experience, which is important to us. The guides and crew were great! Pablo met us bright and early at the cruise ship port and we were in our way to where we would catch a boat to Lamanai. If you select Lamanai, it is quite a distance. Keep that in mind. The drive was about an hour, which was perfect to chat with Pablo and the two other guests on the journey. When we arrived at the place to board the boat, David met us and introduced us to Julian, the boat operator, and we were on our way to Lamanai. The boat trip was like being on a fast-moving Jungle cruise at Disney and took a bit less than an hour. During this time, Julian and David pointed out some birds and other interesting things along the way. When we got to Lamanai ruins, we were pretty early and not too many people were there at the same time. Make sure You have bug spray and proper shoes. No open-toe shoes. David guided us to several of the temples, the Mask, Jaguar, Stela, and High temples. We climbed two and the view is fantastic! I ended skipping the climb up the second temple, but David was kind enough to take my three kids up to the top while took pictures. David explained many interesting nuggets of information regarding the ruins and other aspects of the Mayans. The howler monkeys were so loud and we saw a few in the trees! The lunch was great and I really enjoyed the fried plantain probably most of all. It was delicious! We spent about two hours at Lamanai before heading back to the cruise ship. The small group experience was perfect for the most perfect excursion with David. It is a long journey to the ruins, so keep that in mind when booking. Make sure you have enough time to get to the last tender and leave extra time for anything unexpected to come up. When I looked for the tour information, I went to trip advisor and a Search on the internet.

King David was recommend by Caveman snorkle tours on the island of Caye Caulker Belize. David was very accommodating and made sure we enjoyed our tour. He goes above and beyond what we expected. By the time you are finished with tour David makes you feel like you made a new lifetime friend. He can handle and tour you can think of.There is no meed to call or book anyone else.

Top Notch Services

David picked us up at the port from our cruise. He gave us a detailed email ahead of time that made it very easy to understand what was going to be happen upon our ships arrival, which we really appreciated. We made our request of what we would like to see on the tour and he tried his best to get it all in within the time constraints we had. He gave us a lot of detailed explanations about the history of Belize, the culture, the economy, the music and so much more. Whenever we ask questions he always had thoughtful answers and we found him very informative. There were no surprise charges on this tour and he was always helpful and honest. He is very driven and ambitious and he cares a lot about delivering excellent services. I definitely recommend this tour. You can take it without any hesitations.

Second time using King David and everything went very smoothly. Went Cave tubing and hit the Traveller rum factory and it was a fun day. He makes sure to be mindful of time ensuring making it back to the cruise ship. Also the meal we had as part of our package at Caves Branch was delicious. Will definitely use his services on a return to Belize

King David all around deserves 5 stars. He was very easy to communicate with and was extremely accommodating to all the needs with our group of 14 people- even when unexpected things came up along the way. He always had a smile on his face and he had interesting facts to share with us about the culture and history as we asked him. He was a great driver of our 15 passenger van and helped make things run smoothly for all the various tours we added on. He hand picked the best tour guides for our additional excursions we chose. We did the ATM caves, cave tubing, snorkeling near San Pedro, and visited Tikal. He always made sure we were well fed and had plenty of water- for example he had some great local food he had called ahead and ordered ready for us to pick up on our way to our first destination right after picking us up from the airport. This was our third tour with King David in Belize. He was AWESOME as always!!!!!! He takes the best care of his guests. He made sure everything we wanted to do and more was checked off our bucket list! We asked to visit the Belize Zoo, Howler Monkey Sanctuary, and take school supplies to a school. As we drove to the zoo, King David told us historical and cultural information about Belize. While at the zoo, we were allowed to feed a tapir. This was a really cool, up close experience. King David asked if we wanted to do the Jaguar experience and we did. We were allowed inside a cage with a trainer/caregiver and allowed to watch a Jaguar up close. He rolled over, gave the trainer a high five and then jumped on top of the cage we were in and while the trainer feed him we got to pet his belly and back paws. It was a once in a lifetime experience! Next we headed to the Howler Monkey Sanctuary where we met our guide Shane for a tour of the Monkey Sanctuary. Shane went ahead of us in the woods, found the monkeys which are in the wild. He came back and got us. We all went in the woods with him and we feed the monkeys fruit out of our hands. We so enjoyed our encounter. After finishing there we went to a local school to distribute some school supplies we had brought for the children. We had an AMAZING day in Belize---thanks to King David!

Our family toured Altun Ha with King David. Prior to the tour I had taken courses on Maya history so I was excited to see Altun Ha in person. Our experience with King David was fantastic from the initial pick-up near the docks through the tour, and the drive back. I especially enjoyed haring King David's perspective on the life in Altun Ha before it was abandon. Our kids enjoyed the tour as well, especially the echo test.

We had the most incredible experience exploring Lamanai and Altun Ha in Belize, all thanks to our exceptional guide, David. His thoughtfulness and expertise truly made the trip unforgettable. David's knowledge of the sites, coupled with his passion for sharing their history, enriched our visit. We highly recommend him for anyone looking to have the best possible experience in Belize.
