This wikiHow teaches you how to see profile visits on Instagram by switching to a business or creator account. Since only business accounts are able to see these stats, you'll need to switch to a business or creator profile first. Luckily, you don't actually need a business to accomplish this, but note that your profile will become public when you switch. You'll also need a Facebook page for your business if you want to access all the insight stats available. Who Viewed Your Instagram Profile?

If you’re trying to figure out if someone is cyberstalking you, Instagram’s information cannot help. However, if you want to know because you’re running a business and want to reach out, it can help.

Currently, there is no way a regular, everyday, personal Instagram account can tell how many people checked their profile. There are no counters built into the app. So if someone is viewing your profile several times a day, you won’t get any notification,n and there isn’t a way to see who they are.

If you found this article through Google, chances are you had to wade through lots of low-rent websites offering ‘Top ways to see who viewed your Instagram profile.” They all say pretty much the same thing. Use this app or that app to spy on your own profile and generate a list of people who visited your profile or looked at your stuff without saying anything.

The vast majority of these don’t work. They are pointless, like many third-party apps that say they can give you insights into who visits your social media profiles or show you who lurked but not said hello. Open Instagram and log in, then follow these steps:

• Select a category that suits you the best and choose Creator as the type of account you wish to set up.
• Hit the Next button. 

There is no approval process or any more hoops to jump through. Your Instagram account should now be a business account that automatically gives you access to Instagram Insights.

The upside is that you will soon be able to see how many people view you on Instagram going forward. The downside is that you must wait seven days to generate enough data to view.

Using Instagram Insights to See Who Viewed Your Profile

Instagram Insights includes a lot of data you need to review frequently if you use the platform as part of your business marketing strategy. One of the things it measures is Impressions, which counts how many times a post has been viewed.

Once your business account has been running for a week, you should see a notification at the top of your profile window. It should say something like ‘155 profile views in the last 7 days’. This tells you how many people viewed your content on Instagram.

• Interact with the web version in the same way as with the mobile app.

Here, we discuss how to use Instagram through a browser from a laptop, desktop computer, or mobile device. Although Instagram is primarily meant for mobile devices, the experience in a browser is quite similar.

How to Use the Web Version of Instagram

Here's an overview of Instagram on the web and how you should use it.

Visit Instagram.com in any web browser and log in to your account or create a new one. Once you log in, you'll see your news feed tab, which has a similar layout to what you see on the mobile app.

As you scroll down through the posts in your news feed, you can interact with them in almost exactly the same way as the mobile app. Look for the heart button, the comment button , or the share button in every post to like it, leave a comment, or send it to a friend. You can also click the bookmark button on the right to save it to your bookmarked posts . Select the three dots in the upper-right corner to embed the post into a web page, report it as inappropriate content, and more.

You'll see more icons in the upper-right corner of the screen. One looks like a little compass. Select it to see a simpler version of the Explore tab that features suggested users to follow and a few thumbnails of their recent posts.

Clicking the heart button at the top of the screen opens a small window showing a summary of your recent interactions. Scroll down to view them all.

Select the user icon to view your Instagram profile. This page is what other users see when they click or tap your name.

Click Edit Profile next to your username to change your personal information and other account details like your password, authorized apps, comments , email, and SMS settings.

Select any photo on your profile to view it full-size. It appears the same way as an individual post page, but with the interactions appearing to the right of the post rather than below it.

Instagram has dedicated URLs for every profile. To visit your Instagram web profile or anyone else's, go to https://instagram.com/username . Just change "username" to whatever yours is.

Instagram Privacy Concerns

As long as your profile is public, anyone on the web can access it and see your photos. If you don't want strangers looking at posts, set your profile to private . That way only users you approve can see you—as long as they're signed in to the accounts you approved to follow you.

Posting on Instagram via the Web

Just like the mobile app, you can post to Instagram from your laptop or desktop. Here's how:

Once you've logged in to Instagram in your favorite browser, select Create new post ( plus sign in a square).

Drag and drop photos or choose Select from computer to browse for photos on your desktop or laptop.

Drag the photos to crop and select Next .

If you want to add more than one photo, select add ( two squares stacked ) in the lower-right corner. From here, you can add up to nine more photos. You can also discard the photo by selecting the X on the photo thumbnail. Select Next once you've added all of your photos.

Select any Filters or Adjustments you want on your photos, then select Next .

Add a caption for your post. You can also add emoji by selecting the smiley.

If desired, add a Location .

Under Accessibility , you can add alt text for those with visual impairments.

If you want to turn off commenting, turn off the toggle under Advanced settings .

Select Share in the upper-right corner.

Once your post has uploaded successfully, you'll see the message, Your post has been shared .

Frustrated and disappointed with instagram!

I love Instagram but have a huge problem with Instagram too. I’ve had two accounts now that after working at building a following that took a long time to do with my first one being well over 8,000 followers and I didn’t even use hashtags only to have whoever it is who flags posts and says you violated community standards pick at and analyze every post claiming I was posting inappropriate things. I read the community standard from start to finish and almost every post they claimed was against their standards according to their own words most certainly did not violate them whatsoever. I am very disappointed and upset by this and there is no way to even talk to a person or any explanation from Instagram on why they have done this to me two times now. I’d be more then happy to discuss this with them so they can explain what they think I did wrong! I doubt I’ll make another account now. It’s just way to much work to do only for them to turn around and just delete everything I accomplish. How can you post things that follow what they are saying the rules are appropriate and have them turn around and say it’s not? I give up! I ’ll find another social media outlet to express my creativity at this point!

I have had troubles with the music feature on instagram for MONTHS now. I am not able to use any music other than the few automatically shown ones that are there when I click the option, and all the songs are in some foreign language or they're instrumentals of some sort. I am not able to search for any song whatsoever as it will just tell me there are no results every time. A couple months ago, i was still at least able to save a song if someone sent it to me, then go to saved music, and use it through that. But now the problem has worsened and I am not even able to save any music nor see/use any of the music i had saved before this was an issue. I have reported this problem to instagram multiple times over the course of about 5 or 6 months and they have yet to respond in any sort of way, let alone fix the problem. I know i'm not the only one dealing with this as i've seen in reviews, as well as on other social medias such as twitter, that there have been a good amount of other people dealing with the same issues. This problem has been aggravating and upsetting, and the fact that i and many others have tried to reach instagram to fix this issue, yet have not even been addressed, only adds to those emotions. The music was one of, if not THE most used feature for me on instagram. I have tried multiple methods on my own to resolve this issue but nothing has worked. Hoping instagram can get to the bottom of this sooner rather than later.

Few issues but not bad

I have been using instagram for a few years and it’s a pretty good platform. For the most part it’s based off what you prefer. So if your into cars and diy products that’s what it will primarily show. It will also introduce you to other things similar that you might like which is really helpful because I love creating things. My only real issue with the app is sometimes you will select options in your settings and for some reason it just doesn’t do it. For instance I don’t want my Facebook linked to my instagram account and I have all the option settings making it to where it “shouldn’t” go to Facebook with my posts. Now I have no reason to hide anything and it’s not that it’s a huge issue. I just like keeping things separate and for some reason I can post things to instagram and I have to continually select it to not go to Facebook just because my instagram and Facebook email is the same. I would rather not have to continue to do that because I just posted a selfie onto instagram and had people on my Facebook liking and commenting. I just don’t share certain things on Facebook. That’s really it. Please make it to where settings do what they say they do. If I deselect something to not do it I shouldn’t have to do other things to make it happen.

1. Using the ‘Your Activity page

Instagram’s “Your Activity” page is a feature within the app that provides users with insights and tools to manage their presence on the platform. It’s a one-stop shop for all your interactions, account changes, and content posted on the platform. This feature is one of the ways users can go about to see what you viewed on Instagram, and here is how:

• Open the Instagram app on your device;
• Click on the profile icon on the lower right corner of the screen to load your profile page;
• On your profile page , click on the hamburger icon in the upper right corner of the screen;

If you spend most of your time on a lap- or desktop, you can browse Instagram and create posts and Stories, right from your computer.

If you spend most of your time working from your computer, you might want to access and use Instagram from your desktop browser. You can browse your feed, talk to friends, and post photos and Stories to Instagram on the web.

Instagram's desktop website is starting to more closely mirror the mobile app. Officially, you can't post photos to your feed or add to an Instagram Story from your computer. There's a work-around for both of these, but more on that later.

On your computer, if you log in to your Instagram account via your favorite browser, you'll find the same familiar feed, only broader. Instagram's desktop website has a two-column layout, with a toolbar at the top.

You can scroll your feed in the main column on the left. You can also click through carousel posts, watch videos, like posts, or add comments.

Everything you can browse in the mobile app, you can also browse on the website. Click the Explore button to see what's trending on Instagram or the Heart icon to view all your notifications.

You'll find the Stories section on the right. Click a profile to view that person's Story.

Instagram plays the next Story automatically, or you can click the right side of a Story to switch to the next one. You can also watch Instagram Live videos---just click the Live tag next to a story to watch.

Instagram Live is actually better on a desktop because the comments appear on the side of the video rather than over the bottom half of it, as they do on the mobile app. You can also  mirror your screen to your TV  if you want to watch Instagram Live videos on a larger screen.

Instagram also recently introduced Instagram Direct on the web . Similar to WhatsApp Web , you can now get the full messaging experience, including notifications, right in your browser. In addition to sending messages, you can also create new groups, send stickers, and share photos from your computer. The only thing you can't do is send disappearing messages, stickers, or GIFs.

After opening the Instagram website in your browser, click the Direct Message button.

You'll see a two-pane messaging interface. You can click a conversation and start sending messages or select the New Message button to create a new thread or group.

In the pop-up, type the name of the account or person to whom you want to send a message. If you want to create a group, select multiple profiles, and then click "Next" to start the conversation.

You can also click the Direct Message icon from any post to send it to a conversation, just as you would on the mobile app.

While you can use the Instagram website on your lap- or desktop to browse your feed and message friends, you still can't use it to post to your profile or Instagram Stories. We hope that Instagram adds this feature to the desktop website soon, as it would help a lot of creators and social media managers.

Until then, however, you can use a work-around. Because this feature is available on Instagram's mobile website, you just have to make the app think you're using a mobile browser instead of a computer.

This is actually quite easy to do. The secret is changing the User Agent of your browser to that of an iPhone or an Android phone. All major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, allow you to do this in one click . Just make sure you select the option that mimics the browser on an Android device or iPhone.

Once you've changed the User Agent, the Instagram tab (only) will switch to the mobile layout. If it doesn't, refresh the tab to force the change. The option to post photos and Stories will also appear.

If you get confused trying to switch the User Agent or prefer a more permanent solution, we recommend  Vivaldi . It's a powerful,  customizable browser from the creators of Opera.

It has a Web Panels feature that allows you to dock mobile versions of a website on the left. You can then open or close a panel any time.

To use it, after you download and open Vivaldi, click the plus sign (+) at the bottom of the sidebar, and then type the Instagram URL . From there, click the plus sign (+) next to the URL bar.

The Instagram panel will be added instantly, and its mobile website will open in the Web Panel. After you log in to your account, you'll see the familiar Instagram mobile app interface.

Click the plus sign (+) in the toolbar at the bottom to post photos to your feed.

This opens your computer's file picker. Select the photos or videos you want to share. You can then follow the same process of editing and posting you normally would in the mobile app. You can type captions, add locations, and tag people.

The process of posting an Instagram Story is also similar to the mobile experience. On the Instagram homepage, click the Camera button in the top-left corner.

After you select a photo, it opens in a toned-down version of the Instagram Stories editor. From here, you can type text and annotations (you can't use Instagram Effects , though). When you're finished, click "Add to Your Story."

But if that doesn’t do the trick here is a jolly good reason to stop stalking your ex’s new partner;  this study  found that when participants looked at pictures of their ex- partners, the areas of the brain that light up when one is experiencing physical pain were activated. Yes, pain! You can only imagine how much worse it would be when seeing them with someone knew. I can tell you, very painful.

So at the end of the day, perhaps we all need to put down our damn phones. Yes, I may be talking to myself here. At least in the early days of heartbreak. No good comes from those late-night scrolls. Well, unless you’re looking for a fabulous interior designer, in which case I really can recommend a fabulous one.

Apple has announced that AirPlay is now available at around 60 hotels operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including select select Holiday Inn, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, Atwell Suites, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Avid locations, and a few others.

You'll need an iPhone or iPad updated to iOS 17.3 or iPadOS 17.3 or later to use the feature, which is available at these locations so far:

Pennsylvania primary updates: Biden continues his multi-stop visit; Bucks is Pa.'s purplest county

In his Pittsburgh stop, the president pledged to keep U.S. Steel an American company.

Pennsylvania's primary election is Tuesday. While both parties' nominees are set in the marquee presidential and Senate races, voters will also weigh in on a competitive race for attorney general, other row offices, U.S. House, and the state House and Senate.

Pennsylvania is expected to be a key presidential battleground state in the November general election. Donald Trump held a fundraiser and a rally in the state over the weekend, and Joe Biden has several Pennsylvania stops planned this week.

Biden's planned visits include a Tuesday stop in Scranton and one Thursday in the Philadelphia area.

‘They’re cheating.’ President Biden floats higher tariffs on Chinese imports in Pittsburgh speech

President Joe Biden announced that he is willing to crack down on Chinese imports in a speech at the United Steelworkers Union headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Surrounded by people holding United Steelworkers and “Standing with Workers” signs, Scranton-born Biden touted his Pennsylvania connections, saying his love for Pittsburgh goes back to his childhood when his grandfather would often speak about the city. He said he visited Pittsburgh when he ran for U.S. Senate in Delaware at age 29, and the steelworkers union endorsed him.

President Joe Biden is promising to block the acquisition of U.S. Steel by a Japanese company, saying it “should remain a totally American company. American-owned, American operated.”

In a speech at the Pittsburgh headquarters of the United Steelworkers, Biden pledged on Wednesday to keep the company in U.S. hands.

Winner of crowded pa. democratic primary will challenge trump-aligned incumbent scott perry.

Though he grew up in Delaware, President Joe Biden was born in and spent his first few years in Scranton.

At one point, his family lived with his maternal grandparents, who were also based in Scranton. The family stayed in the city until Biden was 10.

Bucks is the most-purple state in the commonwealth, with a mere 0.43% margin separating Democrats and Republicans. Democrats hold a 1,710-vote advantage in a county that has nearly 475,000 registrants.

President Joe Biden described his childhood hometown of Scranton as a place that “climbs into your heart and never leaves,” as he launched a three-day long tour of Pennsylvania meant to appeal to working-class voters.

Biden has often returned to Scranton when he needs a boost or a political reset. Beneath a banner that read “Tax Fairness for All Americans,” Biden aimed to contrast his working-class roots in the city with former President Donald Trump ’s more privileged background.

Pennsylvania primary election voters guide

Primary elections are held to determine who will represent each political party in the general election. Pennsylvania holds closed primaries, meaning that only members of a political party can vote in its primary. 

Pennsylvanians will select their parties’ nominees for president, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, state House and Senate, state attorney general, and other state row offices. These primaries will set up November matchups, which could tip the balance of power in both Harrisburg and Washington.
