RPSC RAS Main Exam 2023 Postponed

The RPSC RAS Main Exam 2023 has been postponed to July 20 and 21, 2024. It was earlier scheduled to be held on January 27 and 28, 2024. This is the official notification:

“Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2023 to be organized by the Commission on 27.01.2024 (Saturday) and 28.01.2024 (Sunday) in continuation of the decision taken in the meeting of the Honorable Full Commission dated 23.01.2024. is postponed. The said examination will now be conducted on 20.07.2024 (Saturday) and 21.07.2024 (Sunday).”

What is RPSC & RAS Exam?

RPSC stands for Rajasthan Public Service Commission that is responsible for recruitment in state and subordinate services.

RAS stands for Rajasthan Administrative Services. Candidates have to sit for Rajasthan State & Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination, (TSP & Non-TSP) to get selected in RAS.

What is TSP & Non-TSP?

TSP stands for Tribal Sub-Plan areas. The areas having a tribal population of more than 50 percent.

Non-TSP stands for Non-Tribal Sub-Plan areas. The areas other than TSP areas are categorized as Non-TSP.

• Visit, RPSC official website – https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/
• Click, ‘Apply Online’ link
• Log in at ‘SSO Portal’
• Select, ‘Recruitment Portal’
• Register using ‘One Time Registration (OTR)’
• Fill the Application Form and make the payment using Recruitment Portal services
• Application ID will be generated

Candidates must note the following points while using the RPSC Online portal for application:

• Once payment is successful, avoid using any other portal or service
• Payment once successful, will not be refunded
• To make any changes in the application form, Commission would announce a date by when one has to make amendments
• Register the mobile number which is active
• There is no avenue to submit the application offline.

RPSC RAS Notification 2023 has been released by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) for RPSC RAS (Rajasthan Administrative Services) Recruitment 2023 on 28 June 2023. RPSC RAS Eligibility Criteria 2023 

The RPSC RAS Eligibility Criteria are outlined in this post are determined by factors such as the candidate's age, qualifications, nationality, and other relevant requirements. Candidates not meeting these required criteria would not be eligible to participate in further stages of the recruitment process. The eligibility criteria include the following conditions:

(a) Nationality

To apply for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2023, the candidate must be a citizen of India or a domicile of Rajasthan.

(b) Age Limit 

To be eligible to apply for this post, a candidate must be between 21 and 40 years of age as on 1 January 2024. 

Relaxation Age: Relaxation in age is permitted to some candidates in the reserved categories. 

Candidates interested in applying for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2023 must be aware of the fact that the relaxation in the upper age limit applicable to candidates belonging to the following categories:

(c) Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have a graduate degree (any stream) from:

• A university that has been established by an Act of the Central Legislature. These are universities that have been created and recognised by the central government of the country. Or 
• Candidates are also eligible if they have a degree from an educational institution that has been established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be one under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.  Or
• In some cases, candidates with qualifications from institutions that may not fall under the first two categories can still be considered if their qualifications are deemed equivalent and have been approved by the government in consultation with the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).

Note: Candidates in the final year of their degree programmes are also eligible to apply for the RPSC RAS Prelims Exam 2023, but they must submit proof of graduation before proceeding to the Mains stage.

RPSC RAS 2023 Application Process

RPSC RAS application form was available online on its SSO portal from 1 July to 31 July 2023. Here, we are providing step-by-step instructions to apply for the RPSC RAS Examination:

• Visit the official RPSC Online Application Portal, known as the SSO Rajasthan Portal.
• Register using your Jan Aadhaar or Mail ID to obtain your unique SSO ID number. If you already have an SSO ID, you can skip this step and log in using your existing credentials.
• Locate and click on the Application Link for the RPSC RAS Recruitment Exam.
• Provide your email address, full name, age, date of birth, and other necessary personal details.
• Enter all your educational qualifications and relevant professional information.
• Upload all the required scanned documents in the specific format specified by the commission.
• To complete the registration process, make the necessary payment of the RPSC RAS application fee based on your category.
• After filling out the application form and making the payment, submit the RAS Application Form and ensure to keep a copy of it for future reference.

Application Fee 

Application forms for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2023 will not be accepted without submitting the application fee. The Application Fee can be paid with a Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or through any bank's Internet banking service. The category-wise application fee is tabulated below:-

RPSC RAS 2023 Selection Process

The RPSC RAS Selection process comprises two main phases: the Combined Competitive Examination and the Personality and Viva-Voce Examination. The Combined Competitive Examination, in turn, consists of the following stages:

(A) Combined Competitive Examination:

The Combined Competitive Examination includes two stages known as prelims and mains. 

Stage I - Preliminary Examination (Prelims)

The preliminary exam consists of one objective-type paper. This paper can be conducted either in offline or online mode.

Stage II - Mains Examination (Mains)

The main examination involves answering descriptive questions. Candidates, in a number equal to 15 times the total vacancies available, will be selected to appear in the main examination.

(B) Personality Test & Viva-Voce

Candidates who meet the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the written Main Examination will be invited for a personality and viva voce examination, which carries a weightage of 100 marks.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern

This section provides a comprehensive overview of the RPSC RAS Exam pattern for both the preliminary and main exams. Candidates are encouraged to stay updated with the most recent exam pattern to plan their preparation strategy well. The following tables present detailed information about the RAS Exam:

Stage I: Prelim Exam Pattern

• Prelims exam will be of qualifying nature and consist of 1 paper only.
• Paper will be of Objective Type and carry 200 marks
• The standard questions of this paper will be that of bachelor's degree.
• Qualified candidates will be called for the mains.
• For each wrong answer, a penalty of 1/3 (one-third) of a mark will be deducted.

Stage II: Main Exam Pattern

• The Written exam will consist of 4 papers and each will be worth 200 marks.
• Candidates must finish each paper within a 3-hour time limit.
• To be qualified for the personality and viva voce examinations, candidates must obtain at least 10% in each paper and 15% in aggregate out of the total marks for all papers.

Candidates can download their admit card 2023 (when available) by following the simple steps outlined below:

• Visit the Official Website of the RPSC.
• Check the homepage's Important Links section for a link to the RAS Admit Card.
• The admit card window will appear when you click on the link. 
• Enter your Login credentials followed by a Captcha code and your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
• Review the information printed on the admit card carefully and download your RAS Admit Card 2023.
• You must carry it to the examination centre along with the original ID proof.

RPSC Recruitment 2023: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has invited Online Applications from the Candidates Eligible for Recruitment on 43 Posts concurring with 905 Vacancies to be filled up through Rajasthan State & Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination-2023 vide the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement  02/2023-24 Dated 28.06.2023. The RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement has arisen for Recruitment on the Notified Posts in the State Services and Subordinate Services under Pay Matrix Level, 14, 12, 11  and 10 respectively.

Essential Qualifications:

i) Educational: Graduate/ Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline from any University established by Law Duly Recognized by the Central Government/ State Government.

The Selection Procedure to be carried through Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination 2023 for State Service and Subordinate Service Cadre Posts consists of 03 Stages aimed to drawing up the Final Merit List, as follows:

Note: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission notified Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination-2023 comprises 03 Stages for Selection for all the Posts in the State Services and Subordinate Services.  The Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination-2023 comprises 03 Stages:

Final Selection on the State Services and Subordinate Service Posts comprising overall 43 Posts shall be carried out in the order of a Merit List.

Based on the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Examination Fee shall have to be borne by the Candidates, as follows:

I) Un-Reserved Category Candidates: Rs. 600

II) Other Backward Community (NCL) Candidates/Extremely Backward Classes (CL): Rs. 600.00

Interested candidates can apply on the official website https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/ for RPSC RAS Recruitment 2023 from July 1.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a notification announcing the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination 2023. Interested candidates can submit their applications on the official website, https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/, starting from July 1 to July 31.

The examination aims to fill a total of 905 vacancies for RAS/RTS recruitment, distributed as follows:

State Services : 424 vacancies

Subordinate Services: 481 vacancies

Eligibility

In terms of age eligibility, candidates must be at least 21 years old as of January 1, 2024, and the upper age limit should not exceed 40 years. There are relaxations in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

Applicants should hold a degree from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from any other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament, or declared to be deemed a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Application Fees

Candidates from the general category are required to pay Rs 600 for the registration, while those belonging to EWS, ST, SC, and other reserved categories are required to pay Rs 400.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a preliminary exam, followed by a main exam, viva-voice, and personality examination. The preliminary exam will be conducted for all applicants and will consist of 200 objective-type questions, with a duration of three hours.

Shortlisted candidates from the preliminary exam will then proceed to the main exam, where they must obtain a minimum of 10% marks in each paper and 15% aggregate marks out of the total marks of all papers to qualify for the subsequent stages. The main exam is descriptive and analytical, comprising four papers, each worth 200 marks. The categories of the four subjects will be specified.

Candidates who qualify in the main exam will further undergo a viva-voice and personality examination.

• Visit, RPSC’s official [email protected].
• Click the ‘Apply Online link
• Select, ‘Recruitment Portal’
• Register using ‘Time Registration (OTR)
• Fill out the Application Form and make the payment using the Recruitment Portal services
• Application ID will be generated

Candidates must note the following points while using the RPSC Apply Online portal for the Application Process:

• Once payment is successful, avoid using any other portal or service
• Payment once successful, will not be refunded
• To make any changes in the application form, the Commission would announce a date by which one has to make amendments
• Register the active mobile number
• There is no avenue to apply offline.

RPSC RAS 2024 Vacancy Details

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has not yet officially disclosed the number of vacancies for the Rajasthan Administrative Services 2024-25 Exam. However, it is anticipated to be around 1000. Last year, for 2023-24, there were a total of 905 vacancies, with 424 for State Services and 481 for Subordinate posts.

Is RPSC conducted every year?

The entrance exam is conducted once a year in both languages- English and Hindi. The application fee is rupees 250 for general category candidates, rupees 150 for Other Backward Class candidates and rupees 50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
