NYU’s October Open House: Your Insider’s Guide

Bryce Weinert

Fall is in the air – which is basically the smell of Pumpkin Spice Lattes. But fall isn’t just about our favorite gourd, it’s also a chance to look ahead and start thinking about what exciting opportunities your future college experience may hold. We’re excited to welcome you to NYU’s October Open House October 14 & 15 so we can show off the best of what our NYC campus has to offer. It may not be cinnamon-y goodness, but it’s pretty great!

School Spotlights provide you with your first taste of NYU’s academic life. Hear from faculty, staff, and current students about what each of NYU’s schools and colleges are like.

Pro Tip: If more than one school sounds like it might be a great fit for you (and believe us, we get it!), sign up for the one that’s at the very top of your list and then be sure to stop by the University Resource Fair to talk to representatives from your other schools of interest. You might also be able to snag some cool, purple swag!

Also, be sure to check out the Trailblazers series and stop by the Violet Showcase to hear from some of NYU’s best-in-class faculty and see the  variety of ways NYU’s illustrious alumni have changed the world.

We know after your visit you’re going to want to slam the submit button on your NYU application right away , so we got you covered! Admissions Counselors will go over exactly what applying to NYU entails at our Admissions Information Session.

Life At NYU

There’s more to NYU than top-tier academics and research! During your visit to NYU’s October Open House, visit a Residence Hall or just learn more about ResLife at NYU in an information session. Take a campus tour and learn why we call ourselves “a campus without walls.”

Everyone is welcome at NYU, so visit NYU’s newest building, the John A Paulson Center, for the Embracing Your Identity at NYU session and mingle with various student and administrative leaders and learn how NYU embraces and encourages diversity in all its forms.

We know you really want to hear about the student experience from the people who live it every day: Our amazing students! Check out one of the Beyond the Classroom panels to hear about topics like internships, study away, life in New York City, and more!

You have a lot of questions about college, and your parents and family probably do too! At the Transition to College panel, hear from some family members of current students, and learn about what everyone in your life needs to know in order to support you on your college journey.
