Monroeville first stop on Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour

Country star bringing tour to monroeville.

luke bryan farm tour monroeville indiana

Country megastar Luke Bryan announced he will be bringing the Farm Tour back for its 13th year in 2022, kicking off at Highland Farms in Monroeville on Sept. 15.

The local show is the first of only six dates, which includes Mechanicsburg, Ohio, just west of Columbus, on Sept. 16, and Fowlerville, Michigan, about two-and-a-half hours north of Fort Wayne, on Sept. 17.

The aim of the tour is to bring a large-scale country concert to small communities while also giving Bryan and fans the opportunity to thank farmers, which is something that is important to the singer, having grown up on a farm himself.

“I look forward to these shows every year, mainly because of the meaning behind them, and why it was important to me to start the Farm Tour 13 years ago,” Bryan shared in a press release. “It has allowed communities who don’t normally get a concert in their areas to experience a fun night in their backyard, all while lifting up the American farmer. Small towns and farming pretty much sum up my childhood. It is my way of life, and I know it is a way of life for so many. It is truly the highlight of my year for me and my whole team.”

Nicks adds Ruoff to tour

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks has announced the addition of four special amphitheater shows to her existing limited engagement tour.

To our benefit, the additional four shows will include a stop at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville on Tuesday, June 21.

Remarkably, the 73-year-old Fleetwood Mac songstress recently stated she’d like to continue singing for, at least, the next decade.

Given the amount of hits she has been involved with as a member of the iconic band as well as a solo artist, my guess is that she will continue selling out venues as long as she wants to continue to get up on stage.

Anthrax celebrates 40 years

Legendary thrashers Anthrax will finally get to celebrate their 40th anniversary when they head out on the road for the first time since the pandemic with co-headliners Black Label Society and special guest Hatebreed for what is sure to be a night full of face-melting riffs.

Anthrax formed in 1981, and is considered one of the “Big 4” in thrash metal, along with Metallica , Megadeth, and Slayer.

The tour commences at the end of July and stops at the Hard Rock Casino in Gary on Aug. 4, the Andrew Brady Music Center in Cincinnati on Aug. 15, and The Fillmore in Detroit on Aug. 20.

B-52’s saying good-bye

What started as a way to have some fun and play music for friends turned into a 45-year career, but you’ll have just one more chance to catch legendary party band The B-52’s .

The farewell tour launches Aug. 22 in Seattle and stops at the Chicago Theatre on Oct. 7 with KC and the Sunshine Band .

“It has been a wild ride, that’s for sure,” said singer Cindy Wilson in a press release. “We feel truly blessed to have had an amazing career encouraging folks to dance, sing along with us and feel they can be whomever they are with our music.”

Luke Bryan Announces 2022 Farm Tour Dates and Locations

Luke Bryan 's Farm Tour is officially coming back in 2022. The country music star is partnering with Bayer for the thirteenth annual tour that will take place at six different family farms this fall.

The tour kicks off in Indiana and will take Bryan to Ohio, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan. Riley Green, Jameson Rodgers, the Peach Pickers , and DJ Rock will all be joining as openers. The Farm Tour is an important initiative for the Nashville superstar who grew up on a farm in Georgia. It's a special opportunity for Bryan to honor farmers as well as give his fans the chance to come together and do the same. It's also a great way to bring big concerts to small communities that don't usually get that kind of attention. Bringing a CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year winner to promote the everyday farmer? It's a wonderful idea, which is probably why it's become so popular over the years.

"I look forward to these shows every year mainly because of the meaning behind them and why it was important to me to start the Farm Tour thirteen years ago," Bryan shares in a press release. Small town and farming pretty much sum up my childhood. It is my way of life and I know it is a way of life for so many. It is truly the highlight of my year for me and my whole team."

Bryan and Bayer will be using the hashtag #HeresToTheFarmer as part of a social media campaign from June through October. Bayer will be donating meals to those in need through Feeding America whenever the hashtag is shared. Luke Bryan is bringing his annual Farm Tour into its thirteenth year, announcing dates for the 2022 run on Friday (April 29). The country superstar will again partner with Bayer to visit six family farms for unique shows in September.

The Farm Tour 2022 will kick off Sept. 15 at Highland Farms in Monroeville, Ind., and it will run through Sept. 24 at Gar-Lin Dairy in Eyota, Minn. Bryan will also travel to Ohio, Michigan, Nebraska and Iowa on the tour. He will be joined by a large group of openers including Riley Green, Jameson Rodgers , the Peach Pickers and DJ Rock.

Not only does the Farm Tour bring a large-scale country concert to small communities, but it gives Bryan and fans the opportunity to thank farmers, which is something that is important to the singer, having grown up on a farm himself.

Bryan and partnering sponsor Bayer will lift up farmers through the tour using their #HeresToTheFarmer social media campaign. Every time the hashtag is shared from June 1 through Oct. 31, Bayer will donate one meal to someone in need via Feeding America. The campaign aims to provide 1 million meals. Since the beginning of Bryan and Bayer's partnership, almost 5 million meals have been provided and more than $180,000 has been donated to Feeding America food banks and famers. Bryan will also continue to award scholarships to students from farming families.

Tickets for the Farm Tour 2022 go on sale Thursday, May 5, at 10AM local time on Bryan's website . Fan club members and Citi cardholders will have access to presale tickets starting May 2.

Luke Bryan’s 15th tour to promote agriculture packs the field at a Dauphin County farm

luke bryan farm tour monroeville indiana

Widely acclaimed country musician Luke Bryan kicked off his 15th Farm Tour in Pennsylvania on Thursday night, treating country music fans from near and far to a night to remember.

“I love Pennsylvania, I miss Pennsylvania, and I mean it,” Bryan said to enthusiastic applause across one of Bow Creek Farm’s fields in Grantville, Dauphin County.

Bryan sang some of his greatest country music hits during around a two-hour performance that included “That’s My Kind of Night,” “Country Girls (Shake It For Me)” and “One Margarita” — the latter with a margarita in hand, of course.

During the next set, after performing “But I Got a Beer in My Hand,” Bryan chugged a Miller Lite on stage, too.

Bryan’s manager is a former Nebraska state trooper who has mutual friends with Nick Chimienti Jr. of the Dauphin County Sheriff’s Department.

The two met up and toured several farms in central Pennsylvania. They originally placed Bow Creek Farm toward the end of their list, but once they walked around the property, they began to envision Thursday night’s concert, according to Chimienti.

Said Bryan during the concert, referring to Chimienti, “You got a good sheriff — he lets you party in a field. Y’all don’t do no stupid [expletive].”

The East Hanover Township farm turned out to be a perfect venue, with plenty to see in all directions even before the concert began.

Dust rose above thousands of footsteps as people poured off side fields set aside for parking toward the main line into the venue.

The smell of cheap beer and cigarettes floated above crowds entering the fenced venue, pushed together like cattle in an enclosure.

“This is why I don’t like going to these things,” one young man told his girlfriend.

“Babe, it’s an experience,” the young woman replied.

“It sure is an experience,” the young man said.

And rewarded with an experience they were. Bryan took the stage at 8:30 to the boosted electrical riff behind “That’s My Kind of Night.”

“This is my kinda Thursday night in Pennsylvania,” Bryan said.

But Bryan made one person’s night when he shared the stage with a young man named Landon who brought a sign to the concert that said, “Can I sing Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye?”

So the two did, and Landon hit all the notes before disappearing into the crowd.

Later in the concert, Bryan took time to thank his Dauphin County hosts, Robert and Amy Hess , not only for sharing Bow Creek Farm’s fields for the concert but also for their work as farmers.

The tour once again is sponsored by pharmaceutical giant Bayer “to help honor America’s farmers for providing us with access to critical health and nutrition through its #HerestotheFarmer campaign,” according to the company website .

Bryan is setting up stages on American farms from Sept. 19-28, taking him as far south as North Carolina and as far west as Kentucky before returning to Pennsylvania, in Westmoreland County, on the tour’s final night.

Bow Creek Farm, located at 769 Ridge Road , is a local business that raises Red Angus cattle. The farm supplies local hotels and high-end restaurants with premium beef and other goods from its retail store.

Bayer provided a $5,000 check to the Hess family.

“For us, the best part was ... the unprecedented advertising,” Rob Hess said after the concert. “There is a disconnect between agricultural jobs and schools — kids don’t realize there are all these careers in agriculture.”

It was a concert that took about two months to plan. “We’re relieved everything went well,” Hess said.

Toward the end of his performance, Bryan sang “Courtesy of the Red White and Blue” by Toby Keith.

He then repeated a Keith quote, saying, “Never apologize for being patriotic” to raucous chanting of “USA, USA, USA” by members of the audience.
