65 Trailer: Adam Driver Crashes on a Dinosaur-Filled Planet
By Maggie Dela Paz
Sony Pictures revealed the official 65 trailer for the forthcoming sci-fi action thriller, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 10, 2023. The video features Adam Driver as a man who has crash-landed his ship on an unknown deserted planet. There, he discovers that the planet is inhabited by prehistoric dinosaurs. While trying to fight for his survival, he must also protect the planetâs sole survivor: a young girl portrayed by Ariana Greenblatt.
65 is written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who are best known for co-writing A Quiet Place and directing the 2019 slasher film Haunt . The film is led by Adam Driver ( Star Wars films), Ariana Greenblatt ( Love and Monsters ), and Chloe Coleman ( My Spy ).
Check out the official 65 trailer below:
âAfter a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers heâs actually stranded on Earth ⊠65 million years ago,â reads the synopsis. âNow, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.â
The film is produced by Beck and Woods through their Beck/Woods banner along with Evil Dead creator and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi through his Raimi Productions banner. This will also mark the directing duoâs latest collaboration with Sam Raimi after working together on one episode of Quibiâs 50 States of Fright . Additional producers are Raimi Productionsâ Zainab Azizi and Debbie Liebling, with Douglas Merrifield set as an executive producer.
Besides 65 , Adam Driver will next be seen in a few high-profile projects, including Michael Mannâs Ferrari biopic and Francis Ford Coppolaâs epic drama Megalopolis . Meanwhile, Greenblatt and Coleman have both also been cast in upcoming big-budget projects, with Greenblatt set to appear in Eli Rothâs star-studded film adaptation of Borderlands . As for Coleman, she will next star alongside Chris Pine in Paramountâs Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves .
Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now. Besides being a fan of coming-of-age films and shows, she also enjoys watching K-Dramas and listening to her favorite K-Pop groups. Her current TV obsessions right now are FXâs The Bear and the popular anime My Hero Academia.

65 Promises a Lone Wolf and Cub Plot Amid Dino Terror
Adam driver, space marine, shoots guns at dinosaurs. what more do you need that's the film. it's going to be good..
If any film can prove that you can take a goofy ass premise (time travel! dinosaurs !) and make something decent and exciting out of it, itâll be 65 . Starring Adam Driver and Ariana Greenblatt, the trailer already has me pretty invested with tight editing, a clear level set of expectations, decent Dino VFX , and (lo and behold!) a discernible plot.
When a pilot/military man/space marine Mills (Driver) accidentally travels back in time and crash lands in the Cretaceous period alongside a young girl named Koa (Greenblatt), they must sneak their way through a dino-infested landscape. Thereâs a scene at the end which makes me think that this film is actually going to take place during the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event, which will definitely be upping the stakes. Thereâs not much beyond giant flaming asteroids hitting the Earth that you can add to a landscape full of T-Rexes to make it more threatening.
Related Content
Thereâs obvious comparisons to Jurassic Park , but this trailer also reminds me of Prey, Planet of the Apes, and Lost in Space . There have been a lot of disappointing dinosaur movies recently, but if 65 can live up to the Lone Wolf and Cub promise of the trailer, this one might turn out to be pretty great.
The film is written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who also wrote the supernatural/fantasy horror film, A Quiet Place . Sam Raimi is also on as a producer, which is sure to draw some eyes to the this pre-apocalyptic survival film.
65 will release in theaters on March 17.

Full Trailer for Dinosaur Sci-Fi Action Thriller '65' Starring Adam Driver
by Alex Billington December 14, 2022 Source: YouTube
"We've crash landed on an uncharted celestial body… I don't know where we are… I've located one survivor. A child. The atmosphere is breathable." Sony has revealed the first official trailer for a sci-fi epic survival movie titled 65 , arriving in theaters in March 2023 . We've been keeping an eye on this on the Release Schedule , as it has been delayed since last year and is now scheduled for March after first being set to open in May. An astronaut who crash lands on a mysterious planet discovers that he is not alone. It turns out he crash lands from the future back on Earth â 65 million years ago â and encounters dinosaurs. All his fancy new tech will be used to keep them alive. Adam Driver stars with Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman . Produced by Sam Raimi. I'm glad they're not holding back on admitting what this movie is, with the title block literally saying it's set "65 million years ago on prehistoric Earth." Because this is all about watching Adam Driver fight of the dinos, not about the mystery of where he is. Looks like it'll be awesome.
Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Beck & Woods' sci-fi movie 65 , direct from Sony's YouTube :
After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers heâs actually stranded on Earth… 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with many dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive. 65 , also known as 65: The End Is Only The Beginning , is both written and directed by acclaimed writers / filmmakers Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (aka "Beck/Woods"), directors of For Always , Her Summer , Spread , Nightlight , and Haunt previously; and also writers of the A Quiet Place movies. This is a co-production between Columbia Pictures, Bron Creative, Raimi Productions, and Beck/Woods. Produced by Sam Raimi, Zainab Azizi, Debbie Liebling Beck/Woods. Sony will debut 65 in theaters worldwide starting on March 10th, 2023 in just a few months. Look good?

'65' & 9 Other Movies to Travel Back to Prehistoric Times
Take a step back in time.
If you could time travel to any period in the past or in the future, what would you choose? Would you travel to a world before tools and fire and fend for your life against clawed beasts with the same brawn and breadth as a tank? If you said 'yes', then a vacation to prehistoric times is the destination for you!
RELATED: 7 Best Movies About Dinosaurs From the Friendliest to the Deadliest
And just because humans and dinosaurs were separated by a wee 65 million years doesn't mean you can't have your cake and eat it too. This is the movie business and evolutionary timelines are low on the priorities list. In a worst-case scenario, if you're forced to abide by the laws of nature, you'll just have to settle for a woolly mammoth. Shucks.
10 65 (2023)
Adam Driver plays an intergalactic dino-fighting pilot whose ship crash lands on our planet, but 65 million years ago. Thematically it's got a little The Last of Us meets Jurassic Park going on, with a bonus ticking time bomb of the infamous asteroid that changed life on Earth barreling toward the storyline. Yes, zombies are scary, but so are dinosaurs. With these mushy little human bodies? Yeah, no thanks.
Because 65 comes from the same minds that wrote A Quiet Place ( Scott Beck and Bryan Woods ), you can count on feeling the fright with multiple jump scares. These are balanced with the softer father-daughter moments, with Driver's quasi-adopted Earth daughter Ariana Greenblatt . The only passenger to survive the crash, she and Driver forge a bond through their shared loss of family and gain of dinosaur fighter skills.
9 Early Man (2018)
Stop-motion movies are often as mind-blowing as the meteor crash that erupts at the beginning of this movie. From the first impact, Early Man presents all the ingredients that audiences have come to expect and love from a Nick Park project. Like Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep , there's cheeky small-town charm coming from every corner of this claymation creation.

From the character design to the story design, it's as endearing as the cast's toothy grins. Like Park's previous films, the stars were seemingly been plucked from the top of the 2018 British actors chart with Eddie Redmayne , Tom Hiddleston , and Maisie Williams . Together these cave characters revolutionize what soccer (football) means to mankind, one stop-motion kick at a time.
8 10,000 BC (2008)
Roland Emmerich 's 10,000 BC was made at the height of our 2000s sword and sandal days - when Gladiator , 300 , and Troy topped the box office with the same stronghold that superhero movies have today. In the 2000s, our heroes were just various forms of Thor and 10,000 BC is no exception. Despite a plot we've seen 10,000 times before, the 9% Rotten Tomatoes review is perhaps a bit harsh.

It's a big adventure that pulls out all of the stops when it comes to big-budget effects. Even watching the movie today, in spite of the breakneck updates in technology, 10,000 BC still looks pretty great. The flack the movie received didn't seem to come so much from the look but from the glaring historical inaccuracies. The filmmakers took liberties like; shuffling the building of pyramids 8,000 years sooner, and using mammoths (who would not have been able to survive in a desert climate) to build said pyramids. But, history-shmistery!
7 Ice Age (2002)
Ice Age is a frosty family animation that warms the heart. Though the animation style itself doesn't quite hold up to our Pixar standards of today, the story and the voice acting definitely do. A perfectly cast Ray Romano voices our hero mammoth, and together his relationship with Denis Leary the sabertooth tiger, and John Leguizamo the sloth, give us the perfect Wizard of Oz trio for this prehistoric yellow brick road adventure.
RELATED: Every ‘Ice Age’ Movie, Ranked From Chilly To Ice-Cap Melting
Other cleverly cast voice include; Jack Black , Cedric the Entertainer , and co-direct Chris Wedge himself as everyone's favorite " hapless saber-tooth squirrel " Scrat. It's thanks to characters like these, that this "comedy of peril" still shines like a new fossil 20+ years later.
6 'Caveman' (1981)
Caveman tells the hero's journey of Ringo Starr, the runt of the litter, shunned by the bigger men, and overlooked by the supermodel cavewomen. When his tribe is chased up a tree by the quintessential prehistoric creature, the stop-motion giant lizard, he is the first to be trampled over. By the end of the meandering odyssey, however, Ringo discovers marijuana, fire, and rock n' roll, and even rescues his friend Dennis Quaid a couple of times.
The skill sets don't end there though. To add to his growing list of accomplishments, Ringo also modernizes weapons and tames the first animal. Who knew one guy could do so much? If anyone could, it's one of The Beatles .
5 'Quest for Fire' (1981)
Quest for Fire potentially wins the category of 'movie that takes cavepeople the most seriously'. Ron Perlman and the rest of the early man gang are fully committed to seeing their roles portrayed to maximum authenticity. As The Quest for Fire Adventure (the making of) host Orson Welles declares, the film is based on "rock-solid research" of the world 800 centuries ago.
They went so far as to create a new language for the film, with assistance from none other than A Clockwork Orange writer Anthony Burgess . Equal emphasis was put into all other aspects of the film from the hair and makeup (earning an Academy Award) and the settings, shot entirely on location in Scotland and Canada.
4 'The Land That Time Forgot' (1974)
This movie doesn't have the best dinosaur time per run time ratio, but it does offer a different genre appeal than many of its peers. For the first half hour, The Land That Time Forgot is a pretty standard WWI movie until the submarine reaches the "uncharted and forgotten for 200 years" island of Caprona. Post-Carpona arrival, prepare to be dazzled. For 70s B-movie special effects and exteriors shot in Reading, the tropical interior looks pretty terrific.
In an interview with The Guardian , director Kevin Conner offered insight on their technique; "The production designer, Maurice Carter, suggested doing all the dinosaurs as hand puppets. They were about 2ft tall and the guy who made them, Roger Dicken, had his arm up inside them, while their arms were on tiny sticks, a bit like the Muppets." It's all part of the charm.
3 'One Million Years B.C.' (1966)
Even if you haven't watched One Million Years B.C. , there's a 98% chance that you've seen the iconic poster of a bronzed and windswept Raquel Welch towering in front of an active dinosaur war. The movie trailer promises "imaginative realism like never before" over images of bikini-clad cavewomen and a triple-decker bus-size turtle. It's all the imaginative realism you could ask for from 1966.
Aside from Raquel Welch, the film's draw comes from the brilliant special effects prowess of Ray Harryhausen of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and Clash of the Titans (1981). The scene where his pterodactyl creations kidnap and fight over Welch is maybe not terrifying to a modern audience, but a really fun watch.
2 'A Journey to the Beginning of Time' (1955)
The movie opens the way that The Ou tsiders (among others) does, a boy looks through his journal at the journey he and his friends made during the summer. Though, unlike most summer journeys that take their characters only forward in time, these friends go on A Journey to the Beginning of Time .
With a row boat as their time machine, the boys paddle from Germany to the prehistoric ages, gazing upon a prehistoric animal kingdom like a natural history museum exhibit come to life. Due to the lack of dinosaurs in Northern Bohemia in the 1950s, filmmakers had to employ a layering of special effects with matte paintings, live actors, projections, and miniature models that came together like a work of art.
1 'Three Ages' (1923)
For his feature-length directorial debut, Buster Keaton rides in on a puppet dinosaur wearing his trademark blank slate expression, perfectly befitting of the Stone Age. It's the Keaton we know and love. Oh, the charm! Oh, the charisma!
Three Ages has a short run time of just over 60 minutes, and because the plot is also shared with the 'Roman Age' and 'Modern Age', we only have a few minutes with caveman Keaton. But it's a precious pleasant few that, one could say, sets the groundwork for all future prehistoric comedies from The Flintstones to Year One . The film is all the proof you need that Keaton stands the test of time in any age as one of the most brilliant and beloved figures in comedy.
NEXT: The 15 Best Time Travel Movies Ever Made, Ranked
Screen Rant
One of 2023's biggest box office bombs is #1 in the us netflix top 10.
2023 box office bomb 65, the movie where space pilot Adam Driver battles dinosaurs on a prehistoric Earth, is currently #1 on Netflix.
The Adam Driver-led 2023 box office bomb 65 is currently the #1 movie in the US Top 10 on Netflix. Released in March 2023, 65 told the story of a space pilot crash-landing on a mysterious primitive planet, and doing battle with prehistoric dinosaurs in order to save himself and a young fellow survivor. Despite the presence of Star Wars star Driver, not to mention all the dinosaurs, 65 turned out to be a flop, grossing just $60.7 million worldwide on a budget of $45 million.
65 reviews may have been harsh, and the film’s box office may have been disappointing, but Driver vs. Dinosaurs is proving to be an unexpected hit now that it’s available at home. According to Netflix’s numbers, 65 is currently the streamer’s #1 movie in the United States, beating out Netflix original The Out-Laws , the ever-popular Titanic , and the Noah Schnapp thriller The Tutor .
65 Flopped, But It Has Cult Movie Potential
Given its very soft $60 million worldwide gross, 65 was a bad bet as a theatrical release when it came out back in March 2023. For whatever reason, audiences shrugged their shoulders with indifference at the prospect of watching Driver battle dinosaurs on a prehistoric Earth. There may also have been some confusion among moviegoers over what 65 was even about, as its marketing made it look like a time travel movie, a misconception that Driver himself attempted to dispel during a Jimmy Fallon appearance in which he insisted the movie was not about traveling through time:
There’s no time travel. It's a parallel universe that they're saying that existed 65 million years ago, and they find that they've crash landed on prehistoric Earth.
As poor a dice-roll as 65 may have been in theaters however, the movie has a good chance at a second-life as a cult favorite on streaming services. The film’s subject-matter is just weird enough to attract viewers looking for something a little different on Netflix night, and when it comes to cult movies, dinosaurs always have value. If anything works against 65 ’s prospects for developing a cult following, it’s the movie’s tone, which is somewhat over-serious. Were 65 just a little more light-hearted and campy, it might have a better chance of becoming a genuine cult item. But as it is, the film is already garnering a surprising audience on Netflix, and could ultimately have a more successful post-theatrical run than expected.

The 20 best time-travel movies â ranked!
As Adam Driver accidentally winds up 65m years ago , facing not just dinosaurs but an asteroid, we count down the best films about going backwards, or forwards, through the ages
20. Timecop (1994)
Regardless of what anyone says, I believe in my heart that Timecop was greenlit because someone showed a studio executive a picture of Jean-Claude Van Damme and said the word âTimecopâ out loud, at which point they had to throw a script together as quickly as possible. Nothing about Timecop makes sense. It is the most 90s film ever made.
19. Tenet (2020)
I have to be careful here, because Tenet might not be a time-travel movie. Certainly time passes in it and some of the people are going backwards in time in it. But Iâve seen this movie twice now, and it mainly just seems to be about people mumbling everything, except for Kenneth Branagh, who gets to shout very loudly three times. Anyway, here it is.
18. Cavegirl (1985)
Finally, a film that uses time-travel for the correct reason; to allow a horny 1980s high school student to go back to prehistory so that he can convince a smoking hot, bikini-wearing cavegirl to have it off with him. You will note Iâve ranked this above Tenet .
17. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)
Weird to think that Austin Powers was originally a fish-out-of-water comedy, in which the promiscuous titular character had to navigate the (then) uptight world of the 1990s. That all fell apart for the sequel, where Powers was sent back to the 60s to shout his catchphrases at people who actually appreciated them. That makes it a time-travel movie, right?
16. The Butterfly Effect (2004)
God, this film. In summary: Ashton Kutcher plays a man who experiences blackouts, only to learn some years later that he can travel back in time and inhabit his younger selfâs mind during the blackouts. But in doing so, he unleashes a world of unintended consequences. He becomes a murderer and loses limbs. Seek out the directorâs cut if you can, because it ends with Kutcherâs character deliberately strangling himself in the womb with his umbilical cord. No, really.
15. The Tomorrow War (2021)
Wherein Chris Pratt is drafted into a war that takes place 26 years later, because the invading aliens have already killed all the soldiers who were alive at the time. Itâs a great premise for a film â we all pay the price for the actions of other generations â let down by a truly confusing ending. Admit it, you forgot this film even existed, even though it cost $200m to make and only came out 18 months ago.
14. The Time Travelers (1964)
A 1964 movie made on the cheap with genuinely terrible effects, The Time Travelers is about a group of scientists who travel to the future, fight some mutants and then return. What sets it apart, though, is its crazed ending. The film ends with the scientists venturing into the distant future, whereupon the film plays through again, faster and faster and faster until it cuts away to a still of the galaxy. Are they trapped in a loop? Is free will an illusion? Did the producers just run out of money? We may never know.
13. The Adam Project (2022)
In which a young boyâs life is turned upside down when he is visited by an older version of himself from the future. The good news? He grows up to be a fighter pilot. The bad news? He also grows up to have all the cadences and surface-level snarky patter of Ryan Reynolds. What follows is a buddy movie where the two buddies are the same person.
12. Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)
So seminal that it was namechecked in Avengers: Endgame . A flat-out comedy that primarily exists to allow a bunch of middle-aged men to act like teenagers, Hot Tub Time Machine is a film about an enchanted Jacuzzi that sends people back to the mid-1980s. Possibly a bit too bawdy for its own good, thereâs a hint of a message about the unreliability of nostalgia here.
11. Flight of the Navigator (1986)
This family film involves a young boy who goes missing in a Fort Lauderdale ravine, only to show up eight years later having not aged. There are UFOs and rubbery little creatures and whatnot, but thereâs a real emotional wallop to the moment when the boy realises that the world has moved on without him, right down to the scene (that plays out like a horror movie) where the boy realises that his parents have become unrecognisably ancient, even though they are probably only in their early 40s.
10. Primer (2004)
Some see Shane Carruthâs Primer as the gold standard of what a time-travel film should be. Itâs the sort of movie that seems unnervingly realistic, from the down-at-heel engineers to the unshowy nature of time travel itself, where people in effect just get in and out of some boxes. Almost entirely unwilling to explain itself, for years Primer fans have come to rely on a series of graphs and charts to figure out what the film actually is.
9. Safety Not Guaranteed (2012)
A time-travel movie that may or may not have any actual time-travel in it, Colin Trevorrowâs Safety Not Guaranteed is a delicate wonder of a thing. A man places an ad in a magazine asking for a time-travel companion â âMust bring your own weapons. I have only done this once beforeâ â and the respondents slowly come to realise that all is not quite as it seems.
8. Planet of the Apes (1968)
If you havenât seen Planet of the Apes, then the fact that Iâve put it on a list of time-travel movies is probably quite a heavy spoiler, and for that Iâm sorry. But what a reveal this is â what seems at first like a silly movie about Charlton Heston being persecuted by some monkeys quickly becomes something darker and much more sinister. That new Adam Driver movie probably could have achieved something similar, if it hadnât blabbed its big secret in the trailer.
7. Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Endgame is a lot, so much so that it is effectively a time-travel movie bookended by two entirely separate movies. And, yes, it takes a lot of liberties with time-travel, from Tony Starkâs âHuh, I did itâ invention to the lazy referencing of other time-travel movies as a shorthand for what the characters can do. Nevertheless, when they get to it, the film nails it. The Battle of New York is the obvious highlight, with Captain America fighting Captain America and the Hulk embarrassed by his unreconstructed former self, but the heart of the film really comes when Tony meets his father as a man and learns to let go of the past.
6. Interstellar (2014)
Interstellar is also a lot. But at its core is a simple ethical quandary: would you try to save the world if it meant missing your childrenâs entire lives? Matthew McConaughey has to touch down on a planet during a space trip. The problem is that every hour he spends there is equal to seven years on Earth. Is the trip important enough for him to miss seeing the wonder of his children grow into adults? Technically, if you want to be fussy about this, Interstellar is a time dilation movie rather than a time-travel movie. But it gets a pass, largely because McConaughey sells the agony of the moment so beautifully.
5. Bill and Tedâs Excellent Adventure (1989)
There are times when Bill and Tedâs Excellent Adventure feels like it was written by a toddler off his face on pop. But thatâs a deliberate ploy, a way to camouflage all the careful rigour that underpins the script. The lead characters are initially reluctant to embark on their time-travel adventure, until theyâre visited by versions of themselves from the near future who compel them to do it; a beautiful and hilarious example of predestination in action. Extra points are awarded thanks to the filmâs total lack of interest in consequences. Swiping Abraham Lincoln and Napoleon from their respective eras has no bearing on world history whatsoever, which is probably quite lucky.
4. Looper (2012)
One problem with time-travel movies is that the rules always need to be explained upfront. In lesser hands, this can lead to all manner of clunky, stilted exposition. But when Rian Johnson dabbled in the genre with Looper , he gave us a masterclass in âshow, donât tellâ. The sequence where poor Paul Danoâs character is tortured at two different points in time simultaneously, with the older version following instructions carved into the younger versionâs arm, is arguably one of the most inventive uses of time-travel in the entire history of cinema. All that plus this is Bruce Willisâs last truly great performance.
3. The Terminator (1984)/Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
The lure of the first two Terminator movies were the killer robots running around murdering everyone. But they were very smartly built around a framework of pure time-travel. We only see the future in brief flashes, but whatâs important is the present. It is very, very important that Kyle Reese (a guy from the future) has sex with Sarah Connor (a woman from the present), because only that will save humanity as we know it. Itâs a hell of a pickup line, but the device also elevates what could have simply been a shonky B-movie into the realm of the classics.
2. Idiocracy (2006)
The smartest time-travel movies use the device as a mirror, telling us more about the times we live in now than the times the characters visit. Enter Idiocracy, Mike Judgeâs stinging satire about modern times. An average person is cryogenically frozen and wakes up in the future, shocked to discover that the global IQ has fallen off a cliff in the intervening years. Surrounded by aggressive stupidity, he single-handedly saves the US from famine by suggesting that they use water â and not an electrolyte drink â to grow crops. We are conservatively 15 years from this happening in real life.
1. Back to the Future (1985)/Back to the Future Part II (1989)
The only conceivable first choice. The first two Back to the Future films (the third, which is basically just a western, is far less imaginative) have come to define time-travel as a genre. They deliver a complex set of hard sci-fi rules about what can and cannot happen during time-travel and â miraculously â manage to do it in a way that kids can understand. Good music, cool clothes, a million catchphrases and, in the case of the second film, an unnervingly prescient prediction of how Donald Trump would turn out. Just perfect.

Laurence Fishburne's 3 Children: All About Langston, Montana and Delilah
Laurence Fishburne encouraged his daughters and son to appreciate the arts

Laurence Fishburne is a father to three children: a son, Langston, and two daughters, Montana and Delilah.
The Matrix star shares his two elder children with his first wife, Hajna O. Moss, while he fathered his youngest child with his ex-wife, Suits actress Gina Torres .
Following their split in 2017, Torres told PEOPLE, âHappily ... our family remains intact and we will continue to raise our daughter together with love and joy and awe."
While the actor rarely discusses his children in interviews, he opened up on The View about them in 2023. Explaining that his younger daughter, Delilah, had an interest in the arts, he said, âI may have one of my children who may actually be in the business.â
Laurence's two elder children have both had public profiles â Langston had a few roles in films, including Ant-Man and the Wasp , and Montana shares about her yoga practice on her Instagram.
Hereâs everything to know about Laurence Fishburneâs children: Langston, Montana and Delilah.
Langston Fishburne, 36
Steve Mack/Alamy
Laurence and Moss welcomed their first child together, son Langston, in July 1987.
Langston has followed in his dad's acting footsteps with roles in Discontinued , 86 Melrose Avenue , Ant-Man and the Wasp and Have a Little Faith , the 2011 drama in which his father played the lead.
In February 2023, Langston spoke with WGN News about his short film Stalled , which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival . When the host asked Langston what it was like to have an Oscar-nominated actor as a father, he touched on a topic often discussed in Hollywood.
âThere is a level of difficulty that no one really prepares you for,â he explained. âThere is so much nepotism in the business as is thereâs an assumption that âOh, hey, everythingâs handed to you,â but oftentimes, the flip side tends to be the case.â

As for whether his dad encouraged him to take the same career path as he did, Langston shared: âHe told me to follow my heart ... once Iâd finished college â that was his big deal, get an education and after that, do whatever you want.â
After graduating, Langston took on various roles, including the younger version of Laurence's character in Ant-Man and the Wasp. âWorking with my father is always a joy,â he said of his time on set for the action movie.
In addition to his work on-screen, Langston is a trained ballet dancer. âI danced professionally for about 12 years,â he explained. On his Instagram account , he has shared a handful of photos from his time dancing, including a tribute to International Dance Day.
Montana Fishburne, 32

Laurence and Moss celebrated the arrival of their second child together, daughter Montana, in September 1991.
When she was in her 20s, Montana opened up to Reuters about her childhood, explaining that it was âas conventional as it could be.â
"It was traditionally unconventional," she said in 2010. "Iâve had divorced parents since I was 2, and my dad was a really famous actor ... We had the best of the best: private schools, traveling all over the world. Iâve had a happy life."
At the age of 18, Montana entered the adult film industry. In 2010, she spoke to PEOPLE about her chosen career path. âBeing in an adult film is not a big deal to me,â she explained. âItâs something I always wanted to do. I have always been comfortable in my body and with my sexuality.â

She also revealed that she didnât get her parentsâ approval before filming, saying, âI hear through relatives that [my dad is] upset but I havenât talked to him directly for him to tell me his feelings."
Montana added, âI hope itâs not hurting him. It wasnât done to hurt him. But I think it will take time and talking through the issues. Eventually, I hope he will be proud of me.â
In 2018, she shared a sweet photo of her and Laurence on Instagram . âMy father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person....HE BELIEVED/S IN ME â€ïž,â she captioned the snap of the pair posing with their arms around each other.
Montana also uses Instagram to share about her journey to becoming a certified yoga teacher. According to one of her posts, she was inspired to delve into fitness after her mom introduced her to Pilates , and it's been a passion since.
Delilah Fishburne, 16

Laurence and Torres welcomed their first and only child together, Delilah, in June 2007.
During a 2023 interview on The View to promote his animated Marvel TV series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur , Laurence explained that he ran aspects of the project by his daughter for her approval.
âWell, we started this process five years ago, animation takes a long time,â he said. âAnd throughout the process, I would bring home little things like a 30-second clip of something to show her character design or a little clip of music ... and she was like, âYep!â â
Speaking further on Delilahâs hobbies, the John Wick star explained that she had an interest in theater.
âShe was [in New York] with me while I was doing [the 2022 Broadway revival of] American Buffalo, and I took her to the Tonyâs, and after that experience, sheâs involved in theater at her school and is singing in gospel choir," he said.
Delilah often attends premieres and events with her father. On June 12, 2022, she and Laurence held hands while wearing matching yellow outfits on the Tony Awards red carpet, and the following day, she attended The Cave of Addulam premiere at Tribeca Film Festival alongside her dad. The father-daughter duo both donned gray suits to celebrate the evening.
Dickey Betts, Allman Brothers Band guitarist, dies at 80: 'Dickey was larger than life'
Dickey betts, who wrote and sang the allman brothers bandâs no. 1 hit "ramblin' man," died at his home in south sarasota county..
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. â Dickey Betts , a driving force behind the Allman Brothers Band  that launched Southern rock and influenced the jam band scene, died Thursday at his Florida home, according to his longtime manager David Spero.
"It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Betts family announce the peaceful passing of Forrest Richard 'Dickey' Betts (December 12, 1943 - April 18, 2024) at the age of 80 years old," reads the statement from the Betts family.
"The legendary performer, songwriter, bandleader and family patriarch was at his home in Osprey surrounded by his family. Dickey was larger than life, and his loss will be felt world-wide. At this difficult time, the family asks for prayers and respect for their privacy in the coming days. More information will be forthcoming at the appropriate time."
The Allman Brothers performed a singular amalgam of rock, blues, jazz and country marked by the pioneering, twin lead guitar playing of Dickey Betts and Duane Allman, best heard on the band's landmark 1971 live album âAt Fillmore East." After the tragic deaths of Duane Allman and then bassist Berry Oakley, Betts became the de facto leader of the band, writing and singing the chart-topping single "Ramblin' Man" from their platinum-selling 1973 album "Brothers and Sisters," which also features key Betts compositions such as "Southbound" and the hit instrumental "Jessica."Â
Betts released several acclaimed solo albums in the 1970s and 1980s before playing an integral role in reforming the Allman Brothers Band in '89 following a seven-year hiatus. Joined by founding singer/keyboardist Gregg Allman and drummers Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johanson (known as Jaimoe), Betts brought his Dickey Betts Band guitarist Warren Haynes into the fold and wrote the vast majority of the material for their 1990 comeback album "Seven Turns," which features Betts singing the hit title track.Â
Remembering those we lost: Celebrity Deaths 2024
The Allman Brothers spent the first half of the '90s regularly issuing well-received new studio and live albums while filling amphitheaters nationwide, often headlining lineups with popular jam bands who were influenced by albums like "At Fillmore East," its follow-up "Eat A Peach" and "Brothers and Sisters." The Allman Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 by Willie Nelson. During the ceremony, Betts' explosive guitar work was the highlight of the band's performance of the blues standard "One Way Out," which they first popularized when Duane Allman was in the band.
âWe had some real tragedies losing Duane (Allman) and losing Berry Oakley and we had to keep the band together, had to keep it effective, and viable through all that period,â Betts  told the Herald-Tribune  in 2019. âWe took off the (1980s) and Gregg and I put our little bands together and played clubs. After we got back together a lot of writers from Rolling Stone and stuff were calling us dinosaurs and making fun of bands like us and wondering if we could still play and we were determined. It gave us more drive and we showed we werenât done yet. We made some of our best records and I think that helped put us in the Hall of Fame.â
While many celebrities have lived in Sarasota and Manatee counties including Betts' longtime bandmate Gregg Allman, none have roots as deep as Bettsâ, whose songwriting and guitar playing would go on to influence acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Gov't Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band. The Betts family started living here, in the southeastern Manatee County community of Myakka City, about the time of the Civil War. Drive around the area east of Bradenton today and you are bound to find Betts Road.
Interview: Dickey Betts on âRamblin Manâ and more of his greatest Allman Brothers Band songs
Forrest Richard 'Dickey' Betts born in Florida
Forrest Richard Betts was born on Dec. 12, 1943. The boy everyone called Dickey traded his ukulele for a mandolin and then a banjo and then an electric guitar because he noticed the electric guitar impressed the girls.
At 16, he left home to join the circus and got a gig playing the Teen Beat stage of World of Mirth, which traveled the country from 1933 to 1963.
âOur band would do like splits and we had basketball knee pads and weâd go sliding on our knees playing and then Iâd pick the other guitar player up on my shoulders and we had all this s--- going on,â Betts told me during a 2014 interview at his home. âSo we did like 10, 12 shows a day. It was like Vaudeville or something except it was rock ânâ roll. That was my first road trip.â
Bettsâ next road trip was playing with the band The Jokers, immortalized in the Rick Derringer song âRock and Roll, Hoochie Koo.â
The Jokers were a regionally popular act that could fill 1,500-capacity dance halls. After playing with them in Indiana, Betts returned home and teamed up with fellow guitar player Larry âRhinoâ Reinhardt, a Bradenton native who would go on to play with Iron Butterfly and Captain Beyond, bass guitarist Berry Oakley and keyboardist Reese Wynans. They emerged in the late 1960s in Jacksonville as the band Second Coming.
Duane Allman, already a famed session guitarist, and his good friend Jai Johanny âJaimoeâ Johanson, who had played drums in Otis Reddingâs band and then with Sam & Dave, moved to Jacksonville in March of 1969, and soon thatâs where the Allman Brothers Band formed with Duane Allman and Betts sharing lead guitar duties, Oakley on bass, and Jaimoe playing drums alongside Butch Trucks, with whom Duane and his younger sibling Gregg Allman had worked with before. Gregg Allman, who was living in Los Angeles in early â69, joined a few weeks later â at the urging of Duane, Betts and the rest of the musicians â to handle lead vocals and play the Hammond B-3 organ.
Dickey Betts co-founds Allman Brothers Band in 1969
The Allman Brothers Band relocated to Macon, Georgia, and their self-titled debut album came out in November of 1969. The band toured the country virtually nonstop for an entire year and then released âIdlewild South,â which includes the Allman Brothersâ first charting single, âRevival,â written by Betts, as well as the debut of his instrumental âIn Memory of Elizabeth Reed.â
The definitive, 13-minute rendition of âElizabeth Reedâ appears on the Allman Brothersâ masterpiece, the 1971 double live album âAt Fillmore East.â âElizabeth Reedâ is one of only three originals on the album that also includes the instrumental âHot âLantaâ (credited to the entire band) and the Gregg Allman original âWhipping Post,â which clocks in at 23 minutes and features some of Duane Allman and Bettsâ most inspired guitar playing.
A few months after the âFillmoreâ release unofficial bandleader Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident. Almost exactly a year later, Oakley died in a motorcycle accident. Both men were 24 years old and riding near their respective homes in Macon.
Bettsâ composition âBlue Sky,â the first Allman Brothers song with him on lead vocals and one of the last to feature the gorgeous guitar harmonizing of Betts and Duane Allman, appears on the hit 1972 double album âEat a Peach.â
âThatâs a cool song," Betts said during the same 2014 interview. "I was married to an Indian girl whose last name was Wabegijig, which means 'clear blue sky,' so I was writing it for her and I was writing it as âSheâs my blue sky, sheâs my sunny dayâ (Betts sings). And I thought, nah, this would be a better song if I just sang it to the sky instead of to a woman. That was a very good move that could make or break that song. It made it more universal. If youâre a songwriter, thatâs not a big jump. In fact, in âRamblinâ Man,â the original line to that was âPlaying my music and doing the best I can.â Everybody doesnât play music, but everybody works for a living. I asked Gregg to sing âBlue Skyâ and actually the producer, Tom Dowd, he said, âNo, why donât you sing it.ââ
Allman Brothers release 'Brothers and Sisters' in 1973 featuring Betts' hit song 'Ramblin' Man,' which he would later sing with Bob Dylan
The Allman Brothers' next album, 1973's âBrothers and Sisters,â includes âRamblinâ Man.â Betts wrote and sang lead on the song as well as playing lead guitar. âRamblinâ Manâ is the Allman Brothers Bandâs first and only Top 10 pop hit, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the U.S. Cashbox Top 100.
âI was going to send âRamblinâ Manâ to Johnny Cash," Betts told me. "I thought it was a great song for him. But everybody in our band liked that song. Even my dad liked the song before we recorded it or anything.â
During Bob Dylan's Sept. 30, 1995, concert at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa. Florida, Betts joined Dylan on stage for several numbers including "Ramblin' Man." Betts told the story of how it came to be while seated at his Sarasota County home in 2014.
Dylan says, âLetâs do âRamblinâ Man.'â
âAll right, let me write the words down,â Betts tells him.
âI know the words,â Dylan says. âI should have wrote that song.â
Betts unleashed one of his warm, charming laughs.
"I said, 'Bob, just sing whatever you want to.' I didnât think he knew the words. I figured heâd just make up some stuff," Betts recalled. "He knew the song word for word. Man, it was such an honor. He sang it and I told him later that those words have never had so much feeling. The way he sings, he makes every word punchy. It really was beautiful. It really was."
The success of âBrothers and Sisters,â in large part, because of "Ramblin' Man"Â made the Allman Brothers rock stars.
An estimated crowd of 600,000 fans attended when the Allman Brothers Band, The Grateful Dead and The Band co-headlined the Summer Jam at Watkins Glen, New York, on July 28, 1973. Considered the largest crowd to date for a rock festival, the event drew more people than Woodstock did a few years earlier.
While filling stadiums nationwide during the mid-1970s, the Allman Brothers Band was joined by teenage journalist Cameron Crowe. His experience with the group as a writer for Rolling Stone magazine would influence his critically acclaimed 2000 film âAlmost Famousâ starring Billy Crudup looking just like Betts.
âI talked to Billy Crudup about it and he said he was playing me,â Betts told me. âI knew Cameron Crowe and I did invite him on the road because he worked for Creem and he did a real good article about me when I did my (1974) solo album âHighway Call.ââ
Starting in 1975, The Allman Brothers Band played benefit shows for Jimmy Carter, helping the former governor of Georgia get elected president. At the time of his death, Betts had a letter of gratitude from the former president framed in his house.
In 2023, New York Times bestselling author Alan Paul published the book, "Brothers and Sisters: The Allman Brothers Band and the Inside Story of the Album that Defined the 70s."  It focuses on the Allman Brothers from 1972 to '76 and largely celebrates Betts and his new leadership role in the band.
"In this new lineup, any combination of players could lock into grooves with one another at various times," Paul writes, before further elaborating: "Betts, an absolutely monster guitarist playing with confidence and creativity, stood atop this musical juggernaut."
Dickey Betts inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Allman Brothers Band
Through several incarnations and countless controversies, Betts led the Allman Brothers after the death of Duane Allman. During the 1990s he wrote or co-wrote such hits as âSeven Turns,â âNobody Knowsâ and âNo One to Run With.â The Allman Brothers Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. The following year a live version of âJessicaâ won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
In 2000, Betts and the three surviving original Allman Brothers Band members split acrimoniously.
The Allman Brothers Band continued, though, for 14 more years. The group performed Bettsâ songs, from his 1970s hits to the popular ones he wrote for the band during its 1990s comeback years. Betts and his Great Southern group toured successfully, too, playing only Bettsâ songs and blues chestnuts, during the same time period. Betts performed in Sarasota at Robarts Arena in 2014. It took place about a week after the Allman Brothers Bandâs final show. Betts would not return to performing until nearly four years later.
Betts and Derek Trucks shared guitar duties in the Allman Brothers Band in 1999 and 2000 with Derek Trucks remaining with the Allman Brothers through the groupâs final show. Betts joined the Tedeschi Trucks Band in September of 2013 at the Beacon Theatre in New York for several numbers including âIn Memory of Elizabeth Reedâ and âBlue Sky.â
âIâve seen some amazing crowd responses at the Beacon, like Clapton guesting, but never have I felt it as much as with Dickey,â Trucks told me in January 2014. âThere is a lot of love for him and a lot of people really excited to see him back on stage. It was a moment for sure and Dickey was great and such a sweetheart. I grew up listening to him and his music and I have such respect for what he has done, him and his son Duane in Great Southern.â
Butch Trucks died in January of 2017 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and then Gregg Allman died in May of the same year after a long battle with liver cancer the singer kept private.
âIâm so glad I was able to have a couple good talks with (Gregg) before he passed,â Betts said in a statement issued the day of Greggâs death. âIn fact, I was about to call him to check and see how he was when I got the call. Itâs a very sad thing. I, along with the entire Great Southern family, pass along my deepest sympathies to Greggâs family, friends, and fans.â
Betts, along with his son, Duane Betts, attended Allman's funeral at Snow's Memorial Chapel on June 3, 2017, in Macon. Allman was laid to rest Saturday near his older brother Duane and bandmate Berry Oakley, both killed in separate motorcycle crashes in Macon in the early 1970s, in the same Rose Hill Cemetery where they used to write songs among the tombstones, not far from the U.S. Highway 41 that Betts sings about in "Ramblin' Man."
Betts is survived by many local family members including his wife of more than three decades, Donna Betts, and his daughter, country music singer Kimberly Betts, who performed around Sarasota-Manatee with her band Gamble Creek, which featured her son (Dickeyâs grandson), Grant Tyler, on guitar.
Bettsâ daughter Christy married Frank Hannon, guitarist and co-founder of the multi-platinum-selling hard rock band Tesla. Hannonâs 2012 solo album âSix String Soldiersâ features one of Dickey Bettsâ last studio recordings. Dickeyâs daughter Jessica Betts, as a toddler, inspired the hit instrumental that bears her name.
Duane Betts, whom Dickey named in honor of Duane Allman, is a nationally renowned guitarist, singer and songwriter born in Sarasota. As a teenager, Duane joined his father and the rest of the Allman Brothers Band in concert for select songs in the 1990s and then became a full-time member of his dadâs Great Southern group in the 2000s.
Following Dickey Betts' successful 2018 brain surgery, Duane Betts posted a photo to social media of him and his dad on stage raising their cowboy hats to the crowd following a performance.
"So grateful today,"Â Duane Betts said. "My father has always been my hero, my mentor and my favorite guitar player in the world. I want to say thank you to all of you who have sent messages, prayed and sent good energy to my family and my dad."
Dickey Betts' 80th birthday happened to coincide with an Allman Betts Family Revival performance featuring Duane Betts and Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman) at Sarasota's Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Dickey came on stage during the show to be serenaded with "Happy Birthday" by the crowd. After the show, he was presented with a birthday cake shaped like a Gibson Les Paul model guitar. Dickey Betts' official Instagram account posted that "It was a night that no one in the building will soon forget" and "a fitting way to celebrate the life of a true living legend."
