GROOVE CRUISE ANNOUNCES CRUISIN’ FOR KINDNESS, THEIR ANNUAL UNDISCOVERED DJ CONTEST, THIS YEAR WITH A CHARITABLE FOCUS. ASPIRING DJS WILL ENTER TO WIN A DREAM GIG SPINNING ABOARD ORLANDO 2022, A FEATURE ON SIRIUSXM CHILL’S DAY LIFE, AN ARTIST SPOTLIGHT FROM DANCING ASTRONAUT, AND MORE. ALL WILL COINCIDE WITH FUNDRAISING FOR THE WHET FOUNDATION 501C3 NONPROFIT.

Port Canaveral, FL (June 16, 2021) – In celebration of the 18th anniversary of Groove Cruise , upcoming January 20-24th , the world’s premier dance music cruise is ecstatic to announce Cruisin’ For Kindness , their annual Undiscovered DJ Contest , this year with a charitable focus. This once in a lifetime opportunity will offer aspiring DJs the chance to spin a dream gig on Groove Cruise Orlando’s Day Life Hosted Stage, while being on the lineup alongside A-list talent Gorgon City , Sofi Tukker , Markus Schulz , Claude VonStroke , Ferry Corsten , Jeffrey Sutorius , CloZee, and many more.

The winner will also receive otherworldly prizes like:

• Day Life Artist-Fan Activity with host Alyx Ander
• Featured Mix on Day Life’s weekly episode on SiriusXM Chill

The contest will include two phases. In Phase One, entrants will submit their audio/video mixes to Groove Cruise at bit.ly/cruisin4kindness from June 16th to August 15th, 2021 . In Phase two, selected entrants will be given a set time for their entry mixes to be played live on the Groove Cruise twitch channel. During the stream, contestants will be able to participate in live voting and can donate to the Whet Foundation’s Labadee Destination Donation charity relief trip for additional points (every dollar donated will equal one point). The three top point scorers will then be judged by an artist panel to determine the winner and runner up. 

The Whet Foundation is a Florida based 501c3 organization that offers grass roots disaster relief for those experiencing hardships and creates exciting experiences for underprivileged children in South Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico . Through their Community Captains and Destination Donation programs, they strive to excite the lives of those less fortunate in a fun and engaging way while positively affecting an entire generation.  

The galactic Groove Cruise Orlando 2022 will see performances from over 60 of the dance music industry’s leading names , across nine custom-built stages , artist-fan activities , and more. Over four days, the universe also called well-known names John Summit, Dombresky, MitiS, Walker & Royce , Barclay Crenshaw, and many more into orbit. Dirtybird, Coldharbour, Odyzey, Day Life, Rules Don’t Apply, Born, Carnival, and Incorrect will represent the artist hosted stages for this international party to and from the Caribbean Sea.

Groove Cruise Miami Announces DJ Competition and Charity Collaboration

Groove Cruise Miami has unveiled the final artists added to their lineup, who will be the DJ competition judges, and the charity collaboration for 2020 with the Whet Foundation.

Groove Cruise Miami is heading to beautiful Costa Maya, Mexico on  January 9 – 13  on the award-winning  Celebrity Infinity . Departing from Miami, attendees can expect to experience so much both on and off of the ship including non-stop music, beach parties,  Mayan temples, artist-led activities, and more.

For this edition of Groove Cruise Miami, attendees have the option to get involved and give back with this year’s charity collaboration. Non-profit Whet Foundation is collaborating with Groove Cruise and its parent company, Whet Travel, to educate and assist communities in the vicinities that they sail to. Attendees are asked to donate by bringing unused clothing, school supplies, and other items for the communities.

In addition, sailers on Groove Cruise can donate directly to the Whet Foundation and earn the chance to participate in artist-led activities. Some of these include a meet-and-greet with Above & Beyond , basketball with  Markus Schulz , and even a Fortnite Xbox tournament with Fatum .

Groove Cruise also started a contest that provides aspiring DJs an opportunity to not only win a free stateroom for two but also airfare for two and their very own time slot for a set on the ship.

Judging the five final mixes is a panel of a mix of headliners and resident Groove Cruise DJs including JVNA , Qrion , Scotty Boy , Kristina Sky , Lizzie Curious , and Keith Christopher . More information on the DJ contest, rules, and finalists can be found on the Groove Cruise website .

Groove Cruise , the flagship event by Whet Travel , has just unveiled its star-studded lineup for their 2025 edition, which is setting sail from Miami to the new destination of Falmouth, Jamaica from Thursday, January 23 through Monday, January 27, 2025 on  Royal Caribbean ’s Allure of the Seas.

The Groove Cruise 2025 marks the 37 th sailing, which includes headlining performances from top-tier talent, including Eric Prydz, James Hype, MEDUZA, Nicole Moudaber, and special guest, Seven Lions. What’s at least one each of their acts all have in common? The upcoming 2025 installment of Groove Cruise marks each of their first performances on Groove Cruise history.

Also included among the journey are inaugural Groove Cruise label takeovers by IN THE MOOD with Nicole Moudaber, Ophelia Records with Seven Lions, STEREOHYPE with James Hype, and Barnyard with Vavo. Known for curating a diverse roundup of label takeovers year after year, Groove Cruise will welcome a slew of first-time label takeovers for 2025. Nicole Moudaber will host her iconic IN THE MOOD imprint, James Hype will showcase the sound of his STEREOHYPE label, and Seven Lions will be at the helm of the debut Ophelia Records takeover. Additionally, country-electronic act Vavo will host a genre-crossing takeover with Barnyard.

Attendees, better known as Captains, will be able to enjoy some of the staples that have become a highlight of the Groove Cruise programming such as takeovers from Gene Farris’ Carnival, Anthony Attalla’s Incorrect, MitiS’ RE:BORN, and Adam Scott ’s Trance, Bro!.

In addition to the powerhouse lineup announcement, Groove Cruise has also announced a new location for the 2025 adventure. To maintain the safety of attendees due to current conditions in Haiti, Groove Cruise has elected to sail from Miami, Florida to the picturesque destination of Falmouth, Jamaica aboard the Allure of the Seas. As a member of the world’s second-largest cruise ship class, this sailing will mark the world’s biggest music cruise in history with a full capacity of more than 6,780 passengers.

Awarded Best Large Cruise Ship by GOLD Travvy Awards, Best For Entertainment by Cruisers’ Choice Awards, and Best Individual Cruise Ship by Readers’ Choice Awards, Allure of the Seas will be the largest and most innovative Groove Cruise ship to date and will be the biggest music cruise in history. Allure of the Seas is part of the Oasis Class of cruise ships, the second largest ship class in the world with a length of over 1,187 ft, and 18 total decks. With an original cost of $1.2 billion, Allure of the Seas boasts a gross tonnage of 225,282 GT.

Settled along the shores of the Caribbean Sea, Falmouth will serve as a captivating destination for Groove Cruise Captains. The coastal town is steeped in rich heritage with historic landmarks and museums and offers an array of thrilling activities and attractions including snorkeling, jet skiing, jungle excursions, zip lining, cultural walking tours, horseback riding, ATV tours, river tubing, and more. Falmouth’s alluring beaches, Doctor’s Cave and Burwood, boast crystal clear waters and vibrant coral reefs for attendees to divulge in.

Outside of organizing unforgettable parties, Whet Travel also runs its own non-profit 501c3 organization, Whet Foundation. Started by Groove Cruise and Whet Travel’s founder Jason Beukema, the non-profit seeks to impact the communities visited by Whet Travel cruises, inviting cruise attendees to donate and volunteer at their events. The foundation gives back to local communities by supplying clothing, musical instruments, food, school donations, beach and community cleanups, painting and art programs, and providing facility repair and improvement costs.

Although Groove Cruise will not sail to Labadee, Haiti in 2025, Whet Foundation will still continue with a charitable initiative for Second Mile Haiti to provide urgent aid. The organization provides nutritional support to save children’s lives and educate caregivers in order to prevent malnutrition. Due to the current situation in the south of Haiti, supplies have become extremely limited for those in need and Whet Foundation will be collecting donations and monetary aid to support Second Mile to avert life-threatening complications to send to Haiti. Groove Cruise Miami reveals highly-anticipated lineup for 2023 sailing

Known as the world’s largest floating dance music festival,  Whet Travel ’s flagship event  Groove Cruise  will make a triumphant return for its 35th sailing from  Miami, Florida  to a private island in  Labadee, Haiti  aboard the state-of-the-art and award-winning  Celebrity Summit .

For nearly two decades,  Whet Travel  has been the leader in independent music cruise experiences with bespoke itineraries and unparalleled curated lineups. From  Thursday, January 19 to Monday, January 23, 2023 , dance music lovers from around the world will revel in the immersive experience that  Groove Cruise  has become known for while enjoying breathtaking views, an extensive list of programming, and some of the top acts in electronic music.

Groove Cruise Miami  will offer attendees, affectionately known as “ Captains ”, a chance to revel in 96 hours of nonstop music from more than 50 artists from around the world. Returning  Groove Cruise  headliners include Swiss-South African deep house connoisseur  Nora En Pure  and German trance music legend  Markus Schulz .  Groove Cruise  also welcomes the mysterious  Claptone   to make his debut headlining performance as well as  BITE THIS  label head   Jauz  who will be performing a special ‘ Off The Deep End ’ set.

Groove Cruise ’s genre-abolishing lineup serves to offer a little something for everyone. Additional support will come from the likes of  BIJOU ,  Blastoyz ,  Cloonee ,  Gioli & Assia ,  Habstrakt ,  Kaivon ,  Matroda , and  William Black . All of these acts will be making their  Groove Cruise  debut and offer something new for dedicated fans.  Ship Wrek  will also return to  Groove Cruise  as direct support for the Miami sailing.

Touching down at the  Labadee  private paradise in Haiti,  Groove Cruise  ‘Captains’ will be able to experience once-in-a-lifetime activities such as the world’s largest zip line, Labadee’s  Dragon’s Tail  roller coaster, boat and island tours, private cabanas, jet skis and kayaks, and more. Due to recent changes, vaccinated guests will no longer be required to take a COVID-19 test before boarding the cruise. Non-vaccinated guests will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test taken within the previous three days. During the height of Omicron in January 2022,  Groove Cruise Orlando  reported an impressive  ZERO  cases onboard for their first event back following the pandemic due to their rigorous safety protocols.
