About this show.
Famous for their catchy pop versions of old ?50s US rock ?n roll songs as much as their flamboyant Teddy Boy look, dance routines and numerous television appearances, Showaddywaddy will take to the Pitlochry stage for the first time in what promises to be a finger clicking, side-stepping, rock ?n roll evening. From a catalogue of hits from over 30 years (their first single, Hey Rock ?n Roll was released in 1974), they perform timeless pop favourites such as Under The Moon of Love, Heartbeat and Blue Moon.

Formed in Leicester in 1973 from an amalgamation of several local bands, Showaddywaddy have gone on to sell more than 20 million records and tour all four corners of the globe.
Their 50 th Anniversary shows will be dynamic and uplifting, featuring all their greatest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts across Europe. ‘ Under The Moon of Love’, ‘Three Steps to Heaven’, ‘Hey Rock & Roll’, ‘When’, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Pretty Little Angel Eyes ’ and many, many more.

‘The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World’ is a bold statement but Showaddywaddy has lived up to that title for the last 5 decades!
Formed in the 1970s in Leicester from several local bands, they have sold more than 20 million records and have toured all corners of the World extensively.
Their live show is dynamic and uplifting featuring all of their biggest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts of Europe. ‘Under The Moon of Love’, ‘Three Steps to Heaven’, ‘Hey Rock & Roll’, ‘When’, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Pretty Little Angel Eyes’ and many, many more.

Member Tour: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard
Event description.
Take a tour of the U.S. Navy’s oldest continuously operating shipyard, established in June 1800 on an island in the Piscataqua River. The port of Piscataqua had a long tradition of building warships, dating back to the late 1600s and including the U.S.S. Raleigh , one of the first ships commissioned by the American Navy in 1775. Since 1800, the shipyard has produced vessels for every major U.S. conflict, from wooden sailing ships to nuclear submarines. After visiting the shipyard, we will enjoy lunch and a private harbor cruise with the Gundalow Sailing Company.
This tour is exclusively for members of the New Hampshire Historical Society. To become a member, select the New Member ticket option, which includes a $50 charge for a one-year membership. Those who are already members should select the Member ticket option.
Note: Attendees must be able to climb a steep set of stairs while touring the naval base and be comfortable boarding and walking on a moving boat while on the harbor cruise.
Security: As the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is still an active U.S. Navy base, visitors must show either a Real ID driver’s license or a passport to gain admittance. The final list of participants’ name must be submitted one week in advance, and no changes will be allowed after that.
