On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.

Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. Šarm aš Šeichas intriguoja Egipto istorija, kultūra ir galimybe pažinti. Čia lepina šiltas ir sausas klimatas visus metus. Raudonosios jūros pakrantė verta kiekvieno keliautojo dėmesio, tai – viena geriausių povandeninio nardymo vietų pasaulyje, . Čia išvystyta kurortų infrastruktūra, kokybiški viešbučiai, dauguma jų – arabiško stiliaus.

Verta žinoti

Darbo laikas Žiemos mėnesiais parduotuvės dirba 9-21 val., o vasarą 9-12:30 val. ir 16-20 val., dažnai ir ilgiau. Ramadano laikotarpiu parduotuvių, valstybės įstaigų ir lankytinų vietų darbo laikas gali būti sutrumpinamas. Keityklų ir bankų darbo laikas yra neapibrėžtas. Dažniausiai pinigus galima išsikeisti viešbučių arba kurortų valiutos keityklose, kurios dirba nuo 10-11 val. iki 13 val. ir 18-22 val.

Arbatpinigiai Prie viešbučių ir restoranų sąskaitų pridedama 10-12% sumos. Arbatpinigiai (1-5 EGP) mokami už pačias įvairiausias suteiktas paslaugas.

Transportas Nebrangus ir dažnai kursuojantis transportas – maršrutiniai autobusiukai. Taip pat važinėja skiriamosiomis spalvomis nudažyti taksi automobiliai, turintys skaitliukus, tačiau dėl kelionės kainos rekomenduojama susitarti iš anksto.

Apribojimai Vandentiekio vandens gerti nerekomenduojama. Patariama pirkti į butelius išpilstytą geriamąjį vandenį. Taip pat svarbu atsižvelgti į tai kokį maistą keliautojai valgo ir įvertinti kaip į maistą sureaguos virškinimo sistema, kadangi Egipte galima rasti įvairių dar neragautų patiekalų. Prieš atvykstant į Egiptą, rekomenduojama pasirūpinti virškinimo sistemai skirtais vaistais. Į Egiptą draudžiama įsivežti daugiau nei 400 vienetų cigarečių, 3 litrus alkoholinių gėrimų. Įvežamą vaizdo kamerą gali prireikti registruoti oro uosto muitinėje ir pažymėti pase išvykstant. Draudžiama išvežti antikinius daiktus, kriaukles ir koralus. Alkoholinių gėrimų (alaus taip pat) vartojimas yra reglamentuojamas.

Lauktuvėms Arabų nacionaliniu turtu laikoma vandens pypkė (kaljanas) ir rankų darbo stikliniai kvepalų buteliukai.

Nacionalinė virtuvė

Ful medames arba tiesiog fūl virtų fava pupelių troškinys, patiekiamas su duona, kmynais, alyvuogių aliejumi bei kietai virtais kiaušiniais. Priklausomai nuo pasirinkimo, troškinį galima pagardinti kapotomis petražolėmis, česnaku, svogūnu, citrinos sultimis, čili pipiru ir kitais daržovių, žolelių bei prieskonių ingredientais. Tai yra nacionalinis Egipto patiekalas.

Kofta avienos arba jautienos maltinukai su prieskoninėmis žolelėmis. Mėsa dažniausiai yra kepama ant žarijų, tačiau, taip pat, gali būti verdama, troškinama ar kepama riebaluose. Gaminant koftą, malta mėsa yra maišoma su tokiais priedais kaip: kiaušiniai, daržovės, ryžiai, bulguras, prieskoniai. Kaip ir būdinga arabiškiems patiekalams, kofta yra patiekiama su duona.

Lankytinos vietos

Kairas Tai sparčiausiai besivystantis, didžiausias Afrikos miestas, jame gyvena daugiau nei 20 milijonų žmonių. Čia neišdildomą įspūdį paliks Egipto istorijos muziejus, kuriame yra viena gausiausių ir brangiausių pasaulio kolekcijų. Čia keliautojai turi galimybę išvysti ir garsiuosius Karalių slėnio archeologinius radinius (1923 m. rastus archeologo Hovardo Karterio ir lordo Karnarvono). Tai apie 5 000 papuošalų, brangenybių, sarkofagų, įvairių buities daiktų iš faraono Tutanchamono kapo. Vien faraono sarkofagas buvo padarytas iš 110 kg aukso. Čia saugoma ir įspūdinga auksinė Tutanchamono kaukė, jos nuotraukomis iliustruojamos kone visos knygos apie Egipto istoriją.

Gizos piramidės Pirmuoju senosios Egipto karalystės įkūrėju laikomas Džoseris. Senąją karalystę labiausiai išgarsino ketvirtosios dinastijos faraonai – piramidžių statytojai. Didžiausios piramidės stūkso Gizoje, šalia Kairo. Jos stebina net viską mačiusius keliautojus. Senovės egiptiečiai manė, kad faraonai – tarpininkai tarp Egipto ir dievų, todėl rūpinosi jų pomirtine gerove. Tam nebuvo gailėta nei pastangų, nei lėšų (greta faraono mumijos gulėdavo kalnai brangenybių). Didžiausia faraono Cheopso piramidė siekia net 147 m aukštį. Piramidės statybai panaudota 2,5 milijono klinties blokų, sveriančių iki 15 tonų. Chefreno ir Mikerino piramidės šiek tiek mažesnės, bet, taip pat, įspūdingos. Ne mažiau mįslingas ir šalia didingų Gizos piramidžių stūksantis Didysis sfinksas (liūto liemeniu, žmogaus galva, su karališku galvos apdangalu). Kol kas yra nežinoma kada buvo pastatyta ši didžiausia Egipto statula. Manoma, kad ji simbolizuoja karaliaus sąjungą su saulės dievu Ra.

Muchamado Kyšulio nacionalinis parkas Tai – ne tik vienas garsiausių Raudonosios jūros povandeninio pasaulio draustinių, esantis už 25 km nuo Šarm aš Šeicho, bet ir pirmasis Egipto nacionalinis gamtos parkas, įkurtas 1989 m. Šiame parke išvysite nuostabiausių koralinių rifų, įvairiaspalvių žuvų, suakmenėjusio smėlio kalvų, medžių sąžalynų. Keliautojai turės galimybę pasinerti į pačias gražiausias Raudonosios jūros gelmes Muchamado Kyšulio parke.

Mozės kalnas ir Šv. Kotrynos vienuolynas Vidurinių Rytų regione stūkso keturi pirmykščiai šventieji kalnai. Vienas jų – Sinajaus kalnas, esantis Sinajaus pusiasalio pietuose. Sinajaus kalnas, dar vadinamas Horebo arba Mozės kalnu – didžiai garbinamas piligrimystės centras. Tūkstančiai piligrimų kasnakt žvaigždžių apšviestais kalnų takeliais keliauja šventosios viršūnės link, kur, kaip menama Biblijoje, Dievas įteikė Mozei akmens plokštes – liudijimus su 10 Dievo įsakymų. Į kalno viršūnę veda 2 keliai. Keliaujant į priekį paprastai pasirenkamas šiek tiek ilgesnis, bet naktį lengviau įveikiamas kelias, kurį XIX a. nutiesė egiptiečiai. Šiuo keliu taip pat traukia ir beduinų, besivedančių kupranugarius, vilkstinės. Taip jie gelbsti pritrūkusius jėgų, siūlydami pratęsti kelionę raitiems. Po trijų valandų intensyvaus kopimo, įveikus 8 km, pasiekiama Mozės kalno viršūnė (2 285 m). Būtina suspėti iki saulėtekio, nes, anot vienuolių, užkopus į Mozės kalną ir jo viršūnėje pasitikus saulę, patyrus palaimą ir atgailą, atleidžiamos visos nuodėmės. Nuo Sinajaus kalno viršūnės atsiveria kvapą gniaužiantys vaizdai: kiek tik akys užmato – rausvo granito kalnai, kurie tarsi atbunda pirmiesiems iš kalnų išnyrančios saulės spinduliams juos apšvietus. Antras kelias – sudėtingesnis. Tai 3 750 vienuolių rankomis iškirstų laiptelių. Pusiaukelėje iš paukščio skrydžio atsiveria Šv. Kotrynos vienuolyno panorama. Šv. Kotrynos vienuolynas – seniausias pasaulyje Rytų stačiatikių vienuolynas, veikiantis iki šių dienų. Būtent čia yra ne tik Šv. Kotrynos palaikai, bet ir Biblijoje minimas liepsnojantis krūmas. Šio krūmo ugnies liepsnoje Dievas pirmą kartą apsireiškė pranašui Mozei. Šv. Kotrynos vienuolyne saugoma ir tyrinėjama daugiau nei 2 000 ikonų, 3 000 rankraščių, dokumentų, knygų, liturginių rakandų kolekcijų, naudojamų per apeigas. Šiandien Šv. Kotrynos vienuolynas – piligrimų iš viso pasaulio susibūrimo vieta: tiek tikinčiųjų, tiek meno mylėtojų, atvykusių susipažinti su pasaulinio garso architektūros paminklu.

Simply the best you won’t be treated better anyway and what a beautiful top quality hotel!

This was an amazing experience. The staff are simply the best Emad, Dafrawy , Ahmed, Mohammed Salah, Abu too few to mention they made me and my daughters stay just perfect. Never met such lovely people. They can’t do enough for you! It was a shame to see other nations guests not being respectful to them. The room was just perfect, clean and very modern, they even left an extra key card so we could leave air con on. The food is great honestly something there for everyone ! The pool restaurant is amazing that serves a 3 course high quality meal every day. Oh my days the Italian restaurant is top notch - picturesque. My forever hotel- simple!!thank you! You won’t find a better beach it’s as good if not better than the Maldives for beauty. It was emotional leaving we are coming back in Autumn.

Best position during winter

I liked: Very nice hotel. Reef is the best of Sharm. The position is very well protected from wind, it makes the BEST CHOICE in all Sharm when you want to stay between January and April. The staff. I didn’t like: Food a bit better than the average in Sharm resorts, that in general is not enough for picky people. It should be improved. When we, me and my 88yo mother arrived , despite we asked for a room near the main building/pool, they gave us a room very far, saying the nearest ones were all booked. It was a very long and uncomfortable walk. Next day when I complained, they gave us a better room. I do recommend this hotel.

Great resort!

Good beds, plenty of pillows, excellent guest service. Good food at breakfast lunch and dinner. Plenty of activities organised during the day. Plenty of free drinks and snacks including ice cream. Honestly an amazing place to reside at!!
