NEW MUSIC FEATURES THREE SOLO PROJECTS RELEASED AS ONE ALBUM

Red green blue to be released may 20, tickets on sale january 20.

Pop-Rock Trio  HANSON  announces their  RED GREEN BLUE  WORLD TOUR  with tickets going on sale at 10am (local) January 20 via  Hanson.net , along with their unique new album comprised of the band’s three solo-led projects.  RED GREEN BLUE  will be released via 3CG Records on May 20 right as the band is reaching the milestone of 30 years performing together. The new Red Green Blue album brings together the band’s three unique creative voices like never before with a third of the album written and produced by each brother (Taylor’s Red, Isaac’s Green and Zac’s Blue). The project brings together a team of collaborators, with the album co-produced by Grammy Award-winning Producer, Engineer and Mixer Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco), and Grammy Award-winning Artist and Producer David Garza (Fiona Apple, Midland, Sharon Van Etten).

“Going into our 30th year as a band we felt like it was imperative we continue to tell our story like only we can, and telling stories in ways that will continue to challenge us to grow and give people new reasons to listen. Red Green Blue is about sharing what has made us a band that has been able to weather so many storms,” said Isaac Hanson.

“Our love and respect for Jim Scott has only grown since we first met 20 years ago. He has been behind some of our favorite albums, so it’s an absolute joy to have finally made a project together,” said Taylor Hanson.

Added Zac Hanson, “We have had a long friendship and deep connection with David since our early days as a band. We could not have had a better musical collaborator for this milestone project.”

Beginning in June in Europe, the  RED GREEN BLUE  WORLD TOUR will bring HANSON to the US and Canada from July-September, Latin America in September, and Australia & New Zealand in November. The band’s first major tour since their  String Theory  album & tour in 2018/2019, fans will be in store for a tour which not only features the premiere of 15 songs from the new project but will also be the first tour to include live performances of 2020’s  Against The World   as well as career-spanning setlists of fan favorites. The US and Canada leg of the tour is being produced by Live Nation. Citi is the official US and Canada presale credit card. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, January 18 th  at 9am PT/12pm ET until Wednesday, January 19th at 10pm local time through Citi Entertainment. For complete presale details visit  www.citientertainment.com .

Fresh off of the release of  Against The World , featuring seven songs released consecutively each month, the prolific band of brothers are reinforcing their deep musicality and credibility as writers, performers and producers with the new project. Leading up to May’s full album release of  RED GREEN BLUE , fans will get a taste of the trifecta of sound, with a single featuring each of the brothers. Coming February 11 Taylor’s earnest and dynamic  “Child At Heart” , March 11 will see the release of Isaac’s organic and heartwarming  “Write You A Song” and April 15 will feature the rock infused pop of Zac’s  “Don’t Let Me Down” .

HANSON are a multi-platinum three-time Grammy-nominated pop-rock trio, selling over 16 million albums, and performing concerts to over 3 million fans. Founded in Tulsa, OK in 1992, the band established a regional following before making a meteoric rise to international fame with their major-label debut, Middle Of Nowhere, lead by the ubiquitous single “MmmBop,” which was a #1 single in 27 countries simultaneously. They have garnered a string of consecutive top 40 singles, seven studio albums, two Christmas albums, and five live releases. The band founded their independent record label in 2003, a story which was chronicled in their acclaimed documentary Strong Enough To Break, a crucial step in the band’s ability to maintain their coveted connection with their global fanbase. 2017 marked the band’s 25th Anniversary Middle of Everywhere Best Of release and world tour, featuring the new single “I Was Born”, followed by 2018’s String Theory symphonic album, which saw the band perform alongside leading symphonies in some of the world’s most prestigious venues on the accompanying tour. In addition to their musical endeavors, in 2007 HANSON launched their Take The Walk grassroots campaign to provide poverty and HIV/AIDS relief in Africa. In 2013, they launched HANSON Brothers Beer, premiering their new venture with a signature Pale Ale, Mmmhops, and in 2014, they launched the Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival in Tulsa OK, which is among the largest craft beer and music events in the country.

The band that brought us “Mmm Bop” has grown up.

Hanson recently announced their ambitious “Red Green Blue” world tour celebrating the release of their upcoming album that shares a name with the tour.

The three-part album, available on May 20, will allow each brother to spread their wings as each section of the 15-track “Red Green Blue” will be written and produced by just one sibling. For the record, Taylor’s Red, Isaac’s Green and Zac’s Blue.

“Going into our 30th year as a band we felt like it was imperative we continue to tell our story like only we can, and give people new reasons to listen,” said Isaac. “‘Red Green Blue’ is about sharing what has made us a band that has been able to weather so many storms.”

If you’d like to see your favorite long-haired boy band take a creative leap on their new tour, here’s everything you need to know.

Where can I buy Hanson tickets?

Tickets go  on sale at Ticketmaster  to the general public Thursday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. EST for all shows.

If you don’t want to wait until the tickets go on sale to the general public, you can find seats right now on  Vivid Seats , StubHub  and  MegaSeats .

It’s common for speculative tickets to show up on the secondary market first, but be aware that prices may be more expensive than when they go on sale to the general public.

Where is Hanson going on tour?

The brothers will launch the enterprising world tour that will also serve as the live debut for their 2020 album “Against The World” in Norway on June 12 before heading back to North America for 40 concerts.

Once they wrap the North American leg of the tour, they’ll swing by Latin America, Australia and New Zealand to close out the “Red Green Blue” tour.

Taylor Hanson

Hanson has announced 81 dates for their upcoming world tour that will see them kicking off in Helinski, Finland on June 8 and wrapping up in Australia in November. Taking place across Europe, North America, Latin America and Australia, the “Red Green Blue World Tour” promotes their upcoming album to be released on May 20.

The European leg of the tour will wrap up in Leeds, United Kingdom on July 3. Hanson will then be kicking off the North American leg of their tour on July 12 at the House of Blues in Houston, with stops in New Orleans, Atlanta, Boston, New York, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle and more before wrapping up at the House of Blues in Dallas on Sept. 14. The band will then start off their Latin American leg in Mexico City on Sept. 25 and wrap up in Rio de Janeiro on Oct. 21, with November dates for Australia and New Zealand to be announced later this spring.

“Going into our 30th year as a band we felt like it was imperative we continue to tell our story like on we can, and telling stories in ways that will continue to challenge us to grow and give people new reasons to listen,” Isaac Hanson said in a statement. “ Red Green Blue is about sharing what has made us a band that has been able to weather so many storms.”

Jim Scott, known for his work with Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Wilcom engineered and mixed the record, with David Garza producing the album. Last November saw the band release  Against the World , with the upcoming tour expected to see the band perform songs from both their 2021 release and upcoming full-length record, as well as beloved fan-favorite tracks.

“We have had a long friendship and deep connection with David since our early days as a band,” Zac Hanson said in a statement. “We could not have had a better musical collaborator for this milestone project.”

Hanson’s Dec. 20, 2019 performance at the House of Blues Boston grossed more than $93,000, while their performance at Caesars Atlantic City in N.J on Oct. 25, 2019 grossed more than $81,000, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’ s Boxoffice.

Tickets for the “Red Green Blue World Tour” are set to go on sale starting Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. local time, with the US leg of the tour being produced by Live Nation.

HANSON: RED GREEN BLUE 2022 Tour

hanson tour 2022

Emerging on the world stage in 1997 with the ubiquitous smash single “MmmBop”, HANSON, the pop-rock band of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, introduced themselves to the world. Blending their influence of soul and rock n roll with a love of song craftsmanship, the brothers quickly earned stardom and also respect from peers, earning them three Grammy Nominations and millions of albums sold.

HANSON’s focus on the long game was apparent from the start of their career, with their admiration for touring acts like the Grateful Dead who cultivated fanbases outside of the fickle radio world. Today the beloved band is heading into their 30th year performing together (25 since their major debut), and is in the coveted position of having an active global fanbase and independence as owners of their label where they have self-released music since 2003. Knowing their history informs the bold moves they continue to make, and frames the world tour and new album project which marks their return to the world stage in 2022.

The RED GREEN BLUE Tour and Album utilize the inspiration of colors to reflect the unique creative voice of each brother, with a third of the album written and produced by each individual (Taylor’s Red, Isaac’s Green and Zac’s Blue).

“Going into our 30 th year as a band we felt like it was imperative we continue to tell our story like only we can, and telling stories in ways that will continue to challenge us to grow and give people new reasons to listen. Red Green Blue is about sharing what has made us a band that has been able to weather so many storms,” said Isaac Hanson.

The project also brings together a team of collaborators, with the album co-produced by Grammy award winning Producer, Engineer and Mixer Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco), and Grammy Award winning Artist and Producer David Garza (Fiona Apple, Midland, Sharon Van Etten).

“Our love and respect for Jim Scott has only grown since we first met 20 years ago. He has been behind some of our favorite albums, so it was an absolute joy to have finally made a project together,” said Taylor Hanson.

Added Zac Hanson, “We have had a long friendship and a deep connection with David since our early days as a band. We could not have had a better musical collaborator for this milestone project.”

Fresh off of the release of Against The World , featuring seven songs released consecutively each month, the prolific band of brothers are reinforcing their deep musicality and credibility as writers, performers and producers with the new project. Leading up to May’s full album release of RED GREEN BLUE , fans will get a taste of the trifecta of sound, with a single featuring each of the brother. Coming February 11 Taylor’s earnest and dynamic “Child At Heart” , March 11 will see the release of Isaac’s organic and heartwarming “Write You A Song” and April 15 will feature the rock infused pop of Zac’s “Don’t Let Me Down” .

Founded in 1992 at ages eleven, nine and six, brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac spent their first five years building a fanbase as an independent band in Tulsa, OK, performing both classic rock ‘n’ roll and soul music and their own original material, to form their own unique blend of harmony-driven, soulful pop-rock. This unlikely focus was forged by an early introduction to music from the 1950’s and early 60’s, with the young brothers citing influences from Aretha Franklin to Otis Redding, The Beatles, Elvis, Little Richard and Chuck Berry. This formed the bedrock of their musical inspiration, helping to forge their signature sound which incorporated strong melodies and song craft, as well as reverence for their musical forefathers.

After five years and two independent albums, HANSON released their major label debut, Middle Of Nowhere , lead by the ubiquitous hit single “MmmBop,” which was #1 in 27 countries simultaneously, and which garnered them multiple Grammy nominations and five consecutive top 40 singles, including “Where’s The Love,” “I Will Come To You” and “Weird”. Continuing the momentum, HANSON released the critically acclaimed sophomore album This Time Around , followed by five more studio albums, two Christmas albums and five live projects, all accompanied by extensive touring, performing concerts to over 3 million fans and selling more than 16 million albums to date.

The band launched their own independent 3CG Records label in 2003, a story which was chronicled in their acclaimed documentary Strong Enough To Break , a critical step in the band’s ability to maintain their coveted connection with their global fanbase.

The last five years have seen the “Middle Of Everywhere 25th Anniversary World Tour,” alongside a new greatest hits collection of the same name, which included single “I Was Born,” infusing a piece of the future into the year’s reflective projects. The year concluded with a special Christmas album release and tour for the group’s Finally It’s Christmas album, which was among the most successful Christmas releases of 2017, and their most ambitious musical project to date, String Theory , a new album and tour that featured the band recording and performing with a full orchestra. The projects were some of HANSON’s most successful of their career, with sold-out concerts around the globe, highlighting their staying power and still strong connection with fans, more than a quarter century after they began in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

HANSON has never been driven by trends or fame, but instead is fueled by the personal drive to create great art, inspire connection and cultivate community. Those qualities are at the root of the band’s longevity and lasting connection with fans.

It was an amazing experience! Great sound, beautiful voices and the perfect location to enjoy the journey of the string theory show! Seeing a Hanson show was on my bucket list since 1997, and theIt performance was beyond my expectations!

Really nice idea and the symphony was great. I didn't get the whole "story" piece and felt like the concert could have been a bit longer. They took a pretty significant break and started late. Also, why play "Yearbook"? Does anyone really like that song? So many better choices out there!

Hanson – ‘Red Green Blue’ review

Laura Cooney

After 30 years (yes really) of performing together, many bands might have run out of ideas by now – but that’s not the case for Hanson. Brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac have continued to push boundaries with their music, taking approaches such as reworking their classic hits with an orchestra on 2018’s ‘String Theory’ and releasing a single a month to build the ‘Against The World’ album in 2021. Now they’re back with ‘Red Green Blue’, which sees each member of the trio take the lead on one section of the record.

The 16-track album kicks off with ‘Red’, which is led by Taylor, and right from opening track ‘Child At Heart’ you sense this is going to be a very different feel for the group. The song starts with a focus on acoustic guitar and Taylor’s uplifting, hopeful vocal, before bursting into a huge anthemic chorus with layers of strings and piano, as well as his trademark high notes. I also loved the vulnerability and openness in the lyrics, which are enhanced by the demo of the song that follows it and offers a glimpse of the process of making the record (not least with the kids in the background!). It’s a great introduction to the project and is going to sound fantastic live.

Elsewhere in ‘Red’, ‘Rambling Heart’ shows the band’s country side, with twangy, lively guitar and vivid imagery of life on the road alongside a soaring, harmonica-laced chorus, before coming back down to earth with detailed depictions of a lover’s face. It pairs nicely with the next track, ‘Truth’, which sees Taylor reflecting on life (‘lost myself looking out the window’) and offering plenty of good life advice, along with one seriously impressive note!

Meanwhile, there’s effects aplenty on the 80s-tinged ‘We Belong Together’, with its sense of celebrating being here and holding on through darker times and a chorus-like feel from the backing vocals, that feed in nicely to closer ‘Semi Hollow’. The song starts with rattling, almost metallic drum effects before bringing in a bluesy organ and retro horns on the chorus. There’s a sharp, more clipped feel to Taylor’s vocals, and a really good balance of playfulness and honesty in the bittersweet lyrics. As the song cuts out at the end, it leaves you feeling like there’s a distinctive break in the sections but also excited to see what’s coming next.

That break provides a great segue into ‘Greener Pastures’, the first track in ‘Green’ which Isaac leads. Whilst these transition moments could quite easily feel disjointed, here the band makes it seem effortless, helped by the use of similar instruments from the previous track. Nevertheless, the song still has its own unique style, building a groove that contrasts the soul and richness in Isaac’s voice as well as a bit of gravel later on. It has a timelessness to it and a great sense of connection as well – you really feel that it’s coming from the heart.

If I had to use one word to sum up the five songs of ‘Green’, it would be ‘growth’, with ‘No Matter The Reason’ being a particularly strong example of that. The introspective song sees Isaac reflecting on the ups and downs of a long-term relationship and remaining steadfast whilst continually trying to do better. It’s full of emotion and to me almost felt like it could be a cut on a long-lost country album from many years ago. Similarly, the wistful ‘The Gift Of Tears’ puts the emphasis on Isaac’s vocals, which really shine through the song’s message of having faith and coming back to yourself. Whilst it would be easy to go big on a track like this, its more subdued feel only adds to its power, particularly in the a capella ending.

However, there’s also still time for some fun, joyful moments, such as the driving, piano-led ‘Write You A Song’ (written for Isaac’s daughter who makes an appearance at the end), which has a lovely sunny vibe to it and is simply constructed yet packed with details. ‘Cold As Ice’, which concludes the section, has an organic jam session feel about it, littered with whoops, classic song references amid its contrasting lyrics, and encouragement from Isaac for Taylor to ‘do more percussion’. It definitely finishes the segment on a high note and is something I’d love to see them explore more of in future.

Perhaps the most surprising of the three sections for me was Zac’s ‘Blue’. The first of his five tracks, ‘Bad’, put me in mind of early Maroon 5, with a slightly darker feel than the other two segments from the off due to its echoing effects and edge of defiance in his voice. There’s a real sense of drama and fierceness about the song and an immediacy that perhaps isn’t as evident elsewhere, but that really showcases this as being very much his own thing and makes a strong statement.

That said, ‘Blue’ also features some mellower moments, such as ‘World Goes Around’, a laid-back pop-influenced number with a big singalong chorus, choir-like harmonies and an emphasis on keeping your head up, as well as smart songwriting. Ballad ‘Wake Up’, meanwhile, showcases a softer side, with drum and keyboard effects blending with a sparse, yearning vocal from Zac that tugs at the heartstrings before revealing a twist in the bridge. It’s a really moving song with plenty of warmth and one of my standouts on the album.

After the high-energy ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ featuring Zach Myers, which puts a different spin on the ‘go for your dreams’ message alongside classic rock riffs, distortion and a call-and-response shout, ‘Blue’ – and the album as a whole – concludes with ‘Where I Belong’. The opening lines seem to echo back to the lights going down after a show, but also to the sense of loneliness we’ve all felt sometimes on our darkest nights (figuratively and literally). There’s a real rawness to Zac’s vocal as he delivers the song, with the harmonies and piano making it feel like something from an old movie – particularly when the big drum rolls and strings kick in, along with a chorus that alludes to ‘Over The Rainbow’ – but with an extra spin by adding some psychedelic elements of vocal echo and a switch to bold piano chords midway through. Although melodically the song ends on a bright note, the searching feel of the lyrics gives you a sense it’s not over yet and very much stays with you afterwards.

Overall ‘Red Green Blue’ feels like Hanson’s strongest piece of work to date. It captures all the qualities that fans love about the band – strong harmonies, stellar vocals, clever songwriting and great musicianship – whilst also having a distinct personality in each section and showcasing the brothers’ range and ability to take on a variety of styles. When I spoke to Isaac and Taylor recently , they both said they hoped that the record would act as something of a reintroduction to their sound whilst keeping some familiar elements, and they’ve definitely managed to pull that off. Here’s to the next 30 years!

Five Things to Know About the Augusta National Women’s Amateur

Las vegas resident danielle kang cards 67 to kick off week at t-mobile match play.

  • lpga-usga-girls-golf

Augusta National Women's Amateur Flag

The fifth edition of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur gets underway this week, and the world’s top amateur players are set to battle it out for a coveted victory at Augusta National Golf Club. But winning at one of golf’s most historic venues isn’t the only thing on the line for the champion.

Here are five things to know about the Augusta National Women’s Amateur:

Chevron Championship Exemption

With a victory at Augusta National, the winner will be awarded an exemption into the first major of the year on the LPGA Tour, The Chevron Championship. First contested at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif., the event moved to The Woodlands, Texas in 2023 and will be played for the second time this year at The Club at Carlton Woods, just outside of Houston. The Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion will be one of six amateurs awarded exemptions into The Chevron Championship field.

Other LPGA Tour Starts

The Chevron Championship isn’t the only event for which the ANWA winner will receive a sponsor exemption. She’ll also be extended an invitation to compete in the U.S. Women’s Open, The Amundi Evian Championship and the AIG Women’s Open, which will be played at Lancaster Country Club, Evian Resort Golf Club and St Andrews in 2024, respectively. The ANWA champion will also likely be given exemptions into other regular-season events on the LPGA Tour.

Girls Golf Alumni in Field

The 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur will see several LPGA*USGA Girls Golf alumni compete over the first two rounds at Champions Retreat before a cut is made to the top 30 and ties for Saturday’s final round at Augusta National Golf Club. Sixteen is in the highest number of Girls Golf alum to participate in the ANWA since the tournament’s inception in 2019.

Wishing the best of luck to our 1️⃣6️⃣‼️ alumnae who are teeing it up this week @anwagolf 👏 This marks the most alumnae to ever compete at the event in a single year. #LittleGirlsBIGDreams #OneMillionMOREGirls pic.twitter.com/erqeudFdSU — LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (@LPGAGirlsGolf) April 3, 2024

Notable Names

While the 72 participants in this year’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur have yet to turn professional, many have already competed multiple times on the biggest stage in women’s golf. After playing in the Twin Bridges Championship on the Epson Tour in July, Gianna Clemente made headlines in 2022 after Monday qualifying for three straight LPGA Tour events at just 14 years old, teeing it up in the CPKC Women’s Open, Dana Open and Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. Last season, she was in the field at the Epson Tour’s Florida’s Natural Charity Classic and made another start at the CPKC Women’s Open, but Clemente is still looking to make her first cut on the LPGA Tour.

After her 2022 ANWA victory at Augusta National Golf Club, California native Anna Davis made seven starts on the LPGA Tour, teeing it up in three of that year’s five major championships and also playing in the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, Cognizant Founders Cup, CPKC Women’s Open and Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. She made the cut in five of those seven tournaments, earning a best finish of T50 at the Founders Cup, and Davis has only made one LPGA Tour start since then, missing the cut last year at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

While her good friend Rose Zhang won her first professional title at the Mizuho Americas Open, Yana Wilson won the AJGA portion of the event, earning 147 total points in the Stableford competition. The U.S. Girls’ Junior champion is no stranger to competing alongside the pros, having made three Epson Tour starts since 2022 and playing in the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open.

Other notable names that have at least one LPGA Tour start under their belt include Girls Golf alums Megha Ganne, Rachel Heck and Emilia Migliaccio, as well as University of Southern California Trojan Amari Avery and Louisiana State University Tiger Ingrid Lindblad.

Past ANWA Champions Have LPGA Tour Success

Two of the past four Augusta National Women’s Amateur champions have gone on to have success on the LPGA Tour after capturing one of the most prestigious amateur titles in women’s golf. Jennifer Kupcho had the honor of winning the first edition of the ANWA back in 2019 and has won three times on the LPGA Tour. She became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the 2022 Chevron Championship, defeating Jessica Korda by two shots at Mission Hills Country Club to become the last woman to make the famous leap into Poppie’s Pond before the event was moved to Houston in 2023. She then collected two more LPGA Tour victories later that year, outlasting Leona Maguire and Nelly Korda in a playoff at Blythefield Country Club to win the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give in June and then taking home the Dow Championship title the next month alongside her playing partner Lizette Salas.

Rose Zhang won the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur in a playoff over Jenny Bae last spring, and just a few months later, Zhang made her professional debut on the LPGA Tour at the Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J. She wrote a new chapter of women’s golf history that week, defeating Kupcho in a playoff to become the first player since Beverly Hanson in 1951 to win in their first pro start on the LPGA Tour. Zhang accepted the immediate LPGA Tour membership offered as part of her non-member victory, becoming a 2023 LPGA Tour rookie, and has earned six top-10 finishes to date since joining the organization.

Santigold Announces New Shows After Canceling Entire Tour in 2022

Fans of Santigold will finally be able to catch the star in concert.

On Tuesday, the musician announced that she'll be hitting the road for several, sparsed-out shows through June, August, and October this year after she canceled her Holified Tour in 2022 , citing artist welfare and the mental-health and economic challenges plaguing those who make music for a living.

The new run of shows includes appearances at Redondo Beach's Beachlife Festival in May and Seattle Pride in June. She'll also stop at New York's Terminal 5 and Toronto's Rebel in August, before resuming her tour in October with shows in Portland and Vancouver.

Presale tickets go on sale on April 3 at 10 a.m. local time via password WITNESS24, while general tickets will go on sale on April 5 at 10 a.m. local time

The tour is her first since dropping her 10-track LP Spirituals , which features "My Horror," "Shake," and " High Priestess ." Several weeks after dropping the album and announcing a tour, the singer canceled her entire run of shows.
