The gig was overall good!

The highlights would be the guest artists like Tom Misch.

Even the opening act (Dabeull) was unexpectedly fun!

One downside of the whole experience is that FKJ's voice was very dim. I would've wanted his voice to have more volume to it as I couldn't even hear at times the messages he was saying to the public (despite standing in the front rows).

Would recommend seeing FKJ and supporting artists live but would improve the volume quality.

The concert was simply amazing. It was my first time watching FKJ in live and it was just mind blowing to see how fantastic he really is. Every minute was a pure pleasure. The way he can mix all these instruments and sounds in such a beautiful way is torrific.

If you guys have the chance to watch it, jump on the occasion you will never forget it. I can't wait to see him another time!

Okay first of all...I did NOT realize that this sexy French man could play the saxophone, the piano, the guitar, and the bass...like jesus christ. He proceeded to play all of the above, sometimes at the same time, with so much swag that I couldn't help but swoon. Seriously what an amazing show! I was caught so off guard -- it far surpassed what I was expecting!

Another great FKJ show! This gus is so talented and incredible to watch. The crowd he brings is just as special as his music. If you're ever wondering should I go to an FKJ show the answer is unequivocally YES! Had the best time and danced up a sweat. I will see FKJ whenever he's in my city or any city that I'm in.

He's the truth!!!

FKJ + Masego + (((o))) = aesthetically beautiful experience This is the first event I have not had anyone push or shove being on the floor. The visuals were amazing. The experience was once in a lifetime. Just wish Fkj would come down from the platform and interact with his audience, couldn't have been better!

FKJ was every bit as amazing as I thought he would be, great presence, great choice of songs and amazing mood overall from the crowd! Definitely a success

FKJ is super talented and he puts on a great show. Flawless transitions between instruments, well-designed lights/visuals and a rocking crowd made it a memorable show (even on a Sunday night). Equally impressed by the skill on guitar, sax and keys. Will definitely see again.

He was so sweet and humble and magical and put on an amazing show. The screen drop in front of the stage was pretty cool and it was so nice to have a visual accompanying the music.

Also, I loved he was so in the groove that he played three songs for the encore :)

FKJ Announces 21-Stop Tour, His First in Over 2 Years

You know it’s gonna be a good day when  FKJ  announces a new tour. The multi-talented artist has not set foot on stage in over two years, since before the pandemic, but is ready to tackle a month and a half stint this fall!

FKJ plans to stop through the US, Canada, and Mexico. He’ll start October 6 in San Francisco, and end on November 12 in Mexico City— a total of 21 shows so far. Rest assured though, in a recent tweet announcing the tour, the artist teased future locations and dates, commenting “More countries to come.”

No openers have been announced at this time, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple of special guests make appearances along the way. This tour is set to be part of the promotional run for FKJ’s new album, V I N C E N T , which releases on  June 10 .

Golden Spike Monument’s western-state tour kickoff event

The 43’ tall Golden Spike Monument, a golden public art piece,  will be on display in Presidents Circle from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The event kicks off its western tour, called the Driving of the Spike: Jupiter Tour .

A formal program will begin at 11:30 a.m. with remarks by University President Taylor Randall, a descendant of aChinese railroad worker, Utah State Senator Karen Kwan, University Board of Trustee and Golden Spike Foundation Vice-Chair Steve Price, and Utah’s State Historic Preservation Officer Chris Merritt, followed by a festive confetti send-off.

Some 155 years ago, leaders and visionaries were inspired to unite our country’s east and west coasts by rail, opening the door to new possibilities for businesses and individuals. The completion of the transcontinental railroad is considered one of the greatest civil engineering projects of the 19th century. Railroad workers laid nearly 2,000 miles of track through some of the most forbidding landscapes in the United States.

The monument’s design was inspired by the golden spike that was ceremoniously driven into a laurelwood railroad tie on May 10, 1869, in Promontory, Utah, to signal the completion of the nation’s first transcontinental railroad.

The Driving of the Spike: Jupiter Tour, brings attention to the construction of the Central Pacific Railroad’s portion of the transcontinental railroad, from Sacramento to Utah. Unable to find enough workers in California, the Central Pacific Railroad recruited thousands of Chinese laborers from the Chinese province of Guangdong.

Utilizing mostly hand tools and a dangerous mix of nitroglycerin and black powder, these workers chiseled and blasted through the granite fortress of the Sierra Nevada mountains to build 15 tunnels. They endured frostbite and avalanches that came with the harsh winters. More than one thousand Chinese workers are estimated to have lost their lives while building the railroad.

“This historic event helped transform our country and was made possible by a diverse group of brave and determined workers,” said Doug Foxley, chair of the Golden Spike Foundation, who commissioned the piece. “The purpose of the Golden Spike Monument is to educate and inspire people to learn from the past and honor the memory of thousands of workers who built the transcontinental railroad. We’d encourage members of the U of U community to consider the monument from an array of lenses, including visual arts, engineering, history, and culture and society.”

The kickoff event is the opportunity to view the Golden Spike Monument up close on a flatbed trailer, providing a unique visual vantage point for experiencing the monument before installation at Golden Spike State Monument in Brigham City, Box Elder County.
