Silversea Cruises Phone Number: Live Human Help

Thomas Maxon , CEO & Co-founder of Claimyr | last updated: 11/08/2023

Have you been dialing the Silversea Cruises phone line 800-722-9955 to reach a human? This guide covers how to call and reach a live human at the Silversea Cruises. Also, we provide you with a guaranteed way to speak with an agent within a few hours.

How to call the Silversea Cruises phone number and speak with a human using a shortcut

Use the widget below to find out the best times, how to call, and a guaranteed method to reach a live Silversea Cruises customer service agent. If it's too hard to call the Silversea Cruises phone number below, you can place a Silversea Cruises call here to guarantee you reach a human.

Bringing your passport on your cruise is extremely prudent. Check out our guide on calling the US Passport Agency to see the best times to call and how to speak with a live human there.

Traveling to port from your current location is also a major headache. If you're flying, be sure to check out our of guides on different airlines:

  • United Air phone number
  • Delta phone number
  • Alaska Air phone number
  • American Air phone number
  • Southwest phone number
  • JetBlue phone number

If your cruise plans involve sailing with another reputable company, you might want to have the Holland America Line Phone Number handy for easy access to their customer service as well.

How can I speak to a live person at Silversea Cruises?

There are two methods to reach a live person:

  • 1.) by calling manually over and over again, get on a long hold, and then hope the call doesn't drop -- and I'll show you how to do that,
  • 2.) use a calling tool that dials for you, stays on hold, and forwards a call to your phone number when an agent is on the line. (RECOMMENDED)

If you're also planning to contact MSC Cruises and would like a similar hassle-free experience, consider using the same calling tool for the MSC Cruises Phone Number.

Option 1 (SLOW) call manually - time to a human rep = 2+ hours .

Below is the best way to manually dial through their menu faster:

  • Step 1: Dial 8007229955
  • Step 2: Wait for 11 seconds
  • Step 3: Press 3

For a comprehensive guide on navigating the phone system more efficiently, visit our detailed page on the Norwegian Cruise Line Phone Number

Option 2 (FAST): use a call app - time to a human rep = 5-40 min.

By far the fastest option is to use software. Robots are simply better at this task than humans ever can be.

  • Step 1 : head to Claimyr
  • Step 2 : select/search for "Silversea Cruises"
  • Step 3 : pay for Claimyr to call for you (yes it's a paid version, but it honestly works very well. You can research Claimyr before buying to be sure)
  • Step 4 : kick back, relax, and wait for your phone to ring with a Silversea Cruises agent on the line!

If you're looking for assistance with a different cruise line, Claimyr also offers a quick connection service for Scenic Cruises; simply follow this link for the Scenic Cruises Phone Number and repeat the steps to get in touch with their customer support'.

The Silversea Cruises's hours of operation

The Silversea Cruises is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (EST)

While planning your luxury cruise, if you need to compare options, you can also check the American Cruise Lines Phone Number for their hours of operation and further assistance.

Silversea Cruises Callback Tool: About Claimyr

Like you, I was at wit's end trying to find a good way to reach a human when I was unemployed in the 2020 pandemic lockdown. After calling 500 times a week to the EDD in California, I built a software program to dial for me automatically. This led to me sharing this tool with you. So far, a few hundred thousand people have used it to reach a live human not only at the Silversea Cruises but also at the IRS phone number , Airlines phone numbers , Healthcare provider phone lines , and many more hard-to-reach phone lines across America.

Claimyr is a software-as-a-service that automates the entire calling process for you. We do this by programming software to

  • automatically dial the Silversea Cruises phone number,
  • navigate the phone menu,
  • stay on hold,
  • detect if a live agent has picked up the call,
  • then forward a call to your phone with a live human waiting for you

The value for you is you can quickly get paid without the hours, days, weeks, and months of manually dialing over and over, staying on hold for hours, and often redialing after a dropped call. Instead, using Claimyr , all you need to do is press a button and wait for a callback to your phone with a live agent on the call.

Yes, Claimyr is legit. We welcome you to search Google for " Claimyr ". You'll see thousands of genuine happy reviews, news articles, and our location (San Francisco).

And no, Claimyr doesn't clog the lines or make matters worse. This is because Claimyr has a one-call-per-customer policy. We only place a single call at a time for you. We don't blast the phone lines as this would be cost-prohibitive for us (our calls would be preventing our own calls from reaching a human) and goes against our values. Also, if you use Claimyr, you stop calling yourself. This means that Claimyr doesn't add additional calls to the phone lines that wouldn't already be there anyway.

a review of Claimyr

News coverage of Claimyr for the skeptical:

What is the best time to call Silversea Cruises?

Do not call during these times (unless you are using Claimyr, which then you can order a callback 24/7 Monday - Sunday):

  • 👎 Monday mornings
  • 👎 After 5 pm on any day
  • 👎 Friday afternoons (as you'll likely not solve your issue until the following week)

But again, if you are using Claimyr's automated callback tool, then you will be able to place a call literally anytime during the day and get a callback soon after.

The best time to call the Silversea Cruises is Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️: please beware that you often need to dedicate an entire day to dialing over and over just to get on hold . Also, the Silversea Cruises is notorious for dropping calls even when you finally do get on hold ! So if you decide to start calling mid-week, due to excessive call volume, you may not be able to reach an agent until the following week or longer.

If you don't consider calling the Silversea Cruises a full-time profession, consider using a calling tool such as Claimyr to guarantee a callback with an agent on the line with zero hold time.

Silversea changing to 0844 phone numbers in UK

I have been trying to contact Silversea and am told by the voice bot that all the 020 numbers I have been using are now invalid. It seems that Silversea has surreptitiously changed to very expensive 0844 numbers which are not included in many if not most phone contracts. This also applies to booking, for which many competitors use a freephone number. In my case this is 65p per minute. With the typical time waiting to be answered nowadays often exceeding 30 minutes, this would equate to a £20 phone call.

My experience of Silversea has been that they are also not very good at responding to emails, making them now very difficult to communicate with.

What do other UK customers think of this backward step, at the time that most businesses have been moving away from these rip off phone numbers? Is it likely to effect your choice of cruise in the future?

Thats one of the numbers I have and just re-tested to be sure. Seems to be working ok.

I've long since removed our landline and now mobile only. Calls to 0844/45 are not cheap especially when you know you'll probably get the voice message, attempt to connect and then eventually another message to call back or leave a message.

I get the impression SS would rather we book elsewhere.

I know this might sound revolutionary but have you tried the services of an excellent travel agent.

You can't beat it.

Who waits on an expensive phone line to deal with a cruise line these days. 😀

The trip is booked already so I need to deal with Silversea. At the time it offered the best option.

I've since retried  0207 340 0700 and it now seems to work. From forums elsewhere it appears hit and miss as to whether you can get through, though it is closed today. All the website information pushes the 0844 number though so it can only be a matter of time before it's the sole option

The website has had that number shown for at least 4 years now and commented on CC at the time with the same thoughts as now. I've always been able to speak to someone on the 0207 number listed by beaujolais. The direct number I had to my SS consultant has now been retired after he was promoted. That has now been replaced with a different 0207 direct dial number and to date has worked.

I'm guessing you may have heard an automatic out of office reply. Hope so anyway. No one wants 0844/45 and there is absolutely no reason to push it.

No this was definitely one of those telecom generated messages. As I said though, it did work eventually, albeit to only get a 'we re closed' out of office messages, but taking a look at 'saynoto0870' website, getting a connection seems a bit hit and miss.

Likewise - I have dealt with an excellent agency that specialises in top end cruising for many years. A superb personal relationship, excellent service and a discount. I let them worry about how to contact Silversea.

It seems that this is going to be the way forward. Even though I have managed to get access via the 020 numbers, the person I need to speak to is always on the phone and I never get the promised call back on time, if at all, and I'm finding the whole communication process very wearing.

One other aspect to this. As you would expect Silversea carve up the UK into 'territories' and have 5-6 Account Managers assigned to the Cruise Agents in their territory. If the Agency one uses is fortunate in having a 'go getting' Account Manager then the two of them together can be very useful in sorting/unblocking significant issues, particularly those that need a resolution from the US.

As an individual dealing with Silversea direct one is unlikely to have access to this kind of thing.

SS Account managers are slightly rarer than Hens teeth and there are less reported sightings of these mystical creatures than there are of the Loch Ness monster.

Haha

Rare to whom ?  I'm curious as to the experiences you have had that have led to you forming that opinion.

I'm sure the agent I use would most vehemently disagree, although I do understand that it's a bit of a lucky dip in the TA being allocated a 'go getter'. FWIW I've used two agencies in the past couple of years who both think that the same individual Account Manager is excellent - as do I as a beneficiary of their actions.

My partner owns his own TA and is yet to find out who their rep is 4 years later. They have tried to find out and SS reckon there is one but nobody is quite sure who it is and the promised phone call from them never happens. Your agent is very lucky.

I'm unsure where you are geographically but you will find every Silversea sales executive - worldwide - at this link. Maybe this will help your TA partner.

IMHO SS UK really don't care.

They have set themselves very low standards and they consistently fail to meet them.

Since covid every dealing I have had with them has been less than satisfactory. Even my TA whom I now use is getting frustrated with them.

I've spoken with SS a couple of times across the Easter weekend with no problems at all. Had a next day call back following an evening online web quote request from our Personal Cruise Consultant (same for over 20 years) which had the 0207 340 0700 as the caller ID number, and was able to call her direct dial 0207 number without problems. Also email responses were literally immediate.

Can't rate highly enough our SS Personal Cruise Consultant, who's looked after us with best offers available.

I think TA/TP is less of a thing in the UK market (with moreso direct bookings if in advance, or bucket agent deals for last-minute) over how it's remained more prominent in US market?

Phone number for airline problems day of cruise

Does anyone have a phone number you can call with airline problems intransit to the cruise.

I booked door to door and Silversea booked me a day of cruise flight.

Who do I call if I run into a problem with my flight.

I assume there is an emergency number of some kind but I can't find it in my paperwork.

I have used these numbers before and got help and results-

Emergency Air desk (to be used only enroute) 786-2757089

SS Air desk- 866-9814288

A piece of advice - take it or leave it.

If you have a problem with your flights, with a missed connection, or with a mechanical cancellation -- your first action should be directly to the airline.  Do not think that by calling the cruiseline, everything will be taken care of.  The airline agents on the spot have the best ability to get you to your destination, with going through the cruiseline just adding another layer of middleman.  And they can do it faster, having direct access to inventory and options.  Plus, they would be the people who would be involved anyhow to redirect your bags.

Now, if you can't get satisfaction from the airline - sure, call the cruiseline.  But you will most always have faster results going direct.

This does not always work. Last July, Scandanavian Airlines went on strike and could not do anything to help me. I called the SS Air desk and they got me on another airline the day before we were leaving. Some airlines will not make any changes unless it goes through the company that paid for the ticket, hence SS. It is a mixed bag out there.

If you look, you will see that the OP is asking about flight assistance during travel.  Which is different than what you experienced.  And which is what I was responding to.

Thank you for your help Tucson Guy - just what I needed.

Silversea has booked us on SAS Airlines for our upcoming Copenhagen-Copenhagen cruise in September.  The return flight itinerary takes us from Copenhagen - Los Angeles - San Antonio which I'm trying to get them to change (6 hour layover in LAX uggh!).  I read about all the issues from the 2 week strike and subsequent Chapter XI bankruptcy of this airline and was a bit surprised Silversea still has contract flights with them.  Would you fly with them again?

If SS didn’t contract with airlines who had filed for bankruptcy at one time or another, Americans might have a hard time getting overseas to sail.

I brought up the bankruptcy situation only because it just happened with SAS and we are currently scheduled to fly them back home.  The concern of getting stranded overseas due to recent airline strikes isn't something anyone wants to experience.

I wonder if Silversea was on top of things in responding to phone calls from stranded passengers because so many were affected with cancelled flights from the SAS strike or is this type of positive response expected by anyone who misses a connection due to airline delays or who's flight gets cancelled?  I will definitely keep these numbers handy.  Thanks for passing them along.

This great information, if you happen to be on the airline (of your choice) and a member of their program check your text messages—-once that happen to us, the airline texted me with new flight information that they booked for protection.

Even if not on the "airline of your choice" -- download their app to your phone.  Sign up for the FF program, so you can log in.  Then add your flight locator, even if you are crediting your miles to another program.  Get into the operating carrier's loop.

Then, when you are done with your flights, just delete the app and be done with that airline until perhaps the next time, if it ever occurs.  Just keep a record of your account number and password.

Just flew an airline that I probably never will again.  The app was useful before the flight - now it is gone from my devices.  Otherwise, I still have ten other airline apps on my phone - and get useful information from them.  All of them have upcoming flights loaded in my account - and if nothing else, it makes for a useful way to keep air travel info in one spot.

I agree you need to download the app for any airline you fly.

Additionally, at least on AA, make sure you go into your itinerary and set up text/email notifications for each leg. You can also set up notifications for the incoming flight for each leg which will let you know about delays for the incoming aircraft.

We also check alternate flights/routings before we leave and check FlightAware. This can give you a heads up regarding delays at any connecting airports.

I would always try to handle any delay/cancellation direct with the airline first. But know your options and stay informed.

Have your information sources set up in advance, have your contingency plans in order.  And don't wait and expect others to do your spadework.  Good on you!

Too many just want to sit back and let others sort things out.  Perhaps that's their way of living, but it fares poorly in time-critical situations.

Strikes are fairly common in Europe so if you traveling to/from or transitting in  Europe-keep an eye on this. They are typically announced in advance and short in length.

You can check out Euronews strike info here:

https://www.euronews.com/tag/strikes

I don’t know how well SS handles cancelled flights or strikes.  But I know that I prefer to be informed, rather than trying to figure it out in a foreign airport or while travel stressed.

About us

The ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Royal Caribbean Group, Silversea is the leading ultra-luxury and expedition cruise line—acclaimed for both its all-inclusive lifestyle offering and its global destination portfolio. Launched in 1994 as the world’s first all-inclusive, ultra-luxury global cruise line, Silversea officially became part of the Royal Caribbean Group in July 2018 when the Group purchased two-thirds of the cruise line’s shares, subsequently acquiring the remaining shares in July 2020.

Silversea provides one of the most inclusive offerings in ultra-luxury cruising. Voyages include butler service in every suite category; a choice of restaurants on every ship, as well as in-suite dining around the clock, and premium beverages served throughout the ship; and a true door-to-door service, with private executive transfers and flights included as standard, among other inclusions. Silversea’s guests travel deep into over 900 destinations across all seven continents, enjoying a curated selection of immersive experiences in the world’s most remarkable places.

In addition to four ultra-luxury expedition ships, Silversea counts seven classic vessels in its fleet. Among the most comfortable and spacious ships at sea, each of the cruise line’s ships enjoys an atmosphere of elegance, conviviality, and whispered luxury. Silversea has welcomed five ships to its fleet since June 2020 – Silver Origin , Silver Moon, Silver Dawn, Silver Endeavour , and Silver Nova – bringing the fleet’s tally to 11.

Silversea continues to innovate in the ultra-luxury and expedition cruise industries. The launch of Silver Moon in October 2020 marked the introduction of Silversea’s groundbreaking S.A.L.T. culinary programme . S.A.L.T. enables travellers to dive deep into the world’s richest culinary cultures, taking regional food and drink as lenses through which guests can engage with the soul of a destination. Aboard Silver Dawn , which joined the fleet in November 2021, guests enjoy the Otium wellness programme —an indulgent innovation in wellness at sea, which, inspired by the Roman lifestyle, focuses on pampering and pleasure over sacrifice and delayed gratification.

In July 2022, Silversea welcomed Silver Endeavour to its fleet—the world’s most luxurious expedition ship, designed specifically to take travellers to the world’s most remote destinations, including both Polar Regions. Complete with state of the art amenities and the highest space-to-guest ratio in expedition cruising, Silver Endeavour strengthens Silversea’s position as the leading ultra-luxury expedition cruise line, broadening the industry’s most diverse polar offering.

Building on the ongoing sustainability efforts of Royal Caribbean Group, Silversea took delivery of Silver Nova in July 2023, and will welcome Silver Ray to the fleet in 2024, pushing boundaries in sustainable cruise travel with the introduction of pioneering technologies.

Silversea’s largest office is in Miami, at the Royal Caribbean Group Headquarters. The brand also maintains offices in Monaco, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia.

Boomer-friendly Silversea's new luxury cruise ship was designed to attract younger guests like me. I'm sold.

  • Most of the ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea's guests are wealthy boomers.
  • But its latest ships are designed to attract younger guests.
  • I spent five nights on Silver Ray and saw how its resort-like feel is luring in a new demographic.

Insider Today

If you're going on a Silversea cruise , you're more likely to be surrounded by groups of wealthy retirees than drunk college students on spring break.

This isn't Carnival , after all. This is Silversea, where the cheapest 2025 cruise starts at $2,900 per person for a nine-day voyage from Hong Kong to Tokyo, and the average age of travelers is somewhere in the mid-60s.

That is unless you're on its latest two ships, where the price will be higher, but the guests will be younger.

The Royal Caribbean-owned brand's target demographic isn't exclusive to baby boomers anymore.

Instead, its newest Nova Class ships, Silver Nova and Ray, have been catching the eyes and wallets of a younger generation.

Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, told analysts in late July that the two ships have seen an influx of younger cruisers compared to Silversea's 10 other vessels .

'Younger' means guests in their 40s and mid-50s, a Silversea executive said.

Some loyal Silversea cruisers may be unhappy with the company's move towards more contemporary ships — "and that's perfectly fine with us," Andrea Tonet, Silversea's vice president of product strategy, told reporters during a June media panel.

Silver Ray and Nova were designed to look more like modern resorts than traditional cruise ships, which he said is "discontinuous and disruptive compared with previous ships" as an appeal to new, younger customers.

That's me. I'm new to the brand and younger than its average demographic.

In mid-June, I, 27, attended a complimentary five-night sailing for reporters and travel agents on Silver Ray, the latest of the two Nova-class vessels.

It was my first time on a Silversea ship , and I think the company did a great job of curating an environment that could attract passengers my age.

To capture the next generation of wealthy cruisers, Tonet said Silver Ray's design moves away from "stereotypical" luxury ship elements — which he said includes being "very closed and, to some extent, also boring" — in favor of a chic yet understated flare.

The window-lined vessel is bright, and its decor is contemporary and classy without being garish. Think of it as akin to a Loews hotel instead of a dated, distasteful luxury resort that had its glory days in the 1980s.

There are still venues and amenities that could appease Silversea traditionalists.

Every cabin has a butler , a typical feature of the cruise line. The red-hued Atlantide restaurant specializes in traditional cruise fare, while the Panorama Lounge has a standard cruise observation lounge feel with fun add-ons like an outdoor firepit and live band.

But if you prefer fresher takes on cruising staples, Silver Ray's restaurants will be perfect for you.

It's hard to immerse yourself in a destination's local culture when you're only at port for 12 hours. It's one of my biggest gripes with cruises, a sentiment I've heard echoed by other travelers my age.

Silversea has a middle-ground offering: SALT , an acronym for "sea and land taste."

The company's culinary program brings cuisines local to the itinerary's region aboard the ship. On Silver Ray, this comes in the form of themed excursions and a bar, cooking class, restaurant, and tasting menu.

You could try the foods of every destination without having to disembark the ship.

silversea cruise line phone number

Half the menu at the complimentary SALT Kitchen rotates almost daily to showcase dishes from the day's port.

SALT Bar's menu doesn't change, but it does put a boozy spin on local flavors, leading to cocktails like dry sherry with mint and sparkling lemonade, as an example from the Portugal and Spain cruise I was on.

It's not the same as dining or drinking at a local bar. But at least it's relatively exciting and more culturally "immersive" than eating a hamburger and fries while you're docked off the coast of Spain.

Italian restaurant La Terraza could attract young travelers seeking a more adventurous meal.

silversea cruise line phone number

The menu has two sections, one "classic" and another "adventure."

The latter, designed to showcase contemporary Italian fare, has less-than-traditional options like whipped mortadella with pecorino chips and grilled seabass with stuffed cabbage and an anchovy-prosecco sauce.

(In case you're wondering, the whipped mortadella was as pink and meaty as you probably envisioned.)

If a photogenic ship is more important to you than food, Silver Ray could also tick your boxes.

silversea cruise line phone number

Notable design details make Silver Ray feel like an upscale, bright, and open floating resort. It could make even the biggest cruise naysayer excited to flex their vacation-at-sea on their Instagram story.

For example, the guest elevators — located by the edge of the ship, half port side, and half starboard side — are lined with glass walls, giving guests a full scene of the ship's surroundings.

The ocean views easily top that of any elevator I've had at a hotel.

Instead of a traditional pool deck with lounge chairs flanking all sides of the pool, Silver Ray's is on the edge of the ship.

silversea cruise line phone number

Swimmers get a photogenic view of the vessel's surroundings, similar to a rooftop infinity pool at an upscale resort.

The music at the pool deck isn't a grating mix of top-100 pop and country, as I've heard on other cruise ships.

Instead, the speakers blasted what I like to call "tunes you'd hear at a hotel bar that was trendy in the mid-2010s," or repetitive, non-offensive, digestible, and occasionally synth-heavy music.

You might not find yourself singing along to the playlist, but it does help curate a trendy and upscale vibe.

Speaking of music, Silver Ray has a two-floor theater that hosts entertainment, such as a comedic musician and a 1980s cover band.

silversea cruise line phone number

I find most traditional song-and-dance cruise shows boring and tacky. I much prefer the exciting nighttime entertainment of mass-market cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Norwegian, which have lineups like Broadway musicals and game shows.

Silversea's latest ship doesn't have its sister brand, Royal Caribbean's ice skating shows or dramatic swim, dive, and dance showcase. However, along with shows in the theater, the new ship does have violinists, pianists, and singers at the Silver Note restaurant and various bars and lounges, which Tonet said creates a "more vibrant type of experience."

The concept is nothing new. Almost every cruise I've been on has had performers — but these had different vibes.

silversea cruise line phone number

But instead of pop-y cover bands performing renditions of "Redbone" by Childish Gambino without the "stay woke" lyric (I'm looking at you, Royal Caribbean), Silver Ray's musicians primarily focus on genres like classic hits, oldies, and jazz.

I don't know if I would recommend Silver Ray's theater shows to other travelers of my age. I would, however, suggest they head to one of its bars, grab a cocktail, and enjoy the live music.

Ultimately, Silver Ray shouldn't be your top pick if you're a younger traveler who wants a loud, attraction-filled ship.

silversea cruise line phone number

I typically love the exciting amenities of mass-market cruise ships . Unfortunately, Silversea's latest vessel lacks them.

And yet, I didn't miss them.

Instead, Silver Ray is a great option for relaxing and unplugging. And if you, like me, hate the tacky and windowless spaces of some of its larger counterparts , the new vessel could be a good option for you, too.

Who needs water slides and rock climbing walls when you have a complimentary sauna and cooking class — all in a quiet, contemporary, and polished space that could temper the concerns of any gaudy-ship-hating millennial?
