Out today on Massacre Records: "In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust", the brand new album by Danish death metal heavy weights ILLDISPOSED! In support of today's record release, the band has unleashed a brand new music video for the track "Lay Low", watch the clip now streaming below! It is definitely not normal to see a gap like this between their releases, but several events slowed down the process. First, the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the music industry and made the band focus on other things for a while. Then guitar player Rasmus Henriksen was diagnosed with brain cancer. Rasmus has now left the band to focus 100% on the treatment. Former guitar player Ken Holst is back in the band, replacing Rasmus. Now, ILLDISPOSED are finally back to show the world how years of crisis and struggle have been transcribed to music. "In Chambers of Sonic Disgust" is full of anger and frustration, and the most ambitious and creative ILLDISPOSED album – ever! “In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust” is the 16th studio album from Denmark’s death metal export, Illdisposed. It is the most ambitious and creative Illdisposed album to date, revealing a band that has been going through several crises the past four years. Beginning with the Covid 19 pandemic and all the impact it had on the music industry – leading up to illness of the worst possible character within the band. It is an honest album full of anger, frustration and sadness. Crisis and struggle transcribed to music. Mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen, giving the album just the right expression. “In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust” will be available as Digipak CD and vinyl LP and will be available on all digital platforms.

Since the beginning of the 90's Illdisposed have been one of the top bands of the Nordic death metal scene and have released 16 albums. Not denying their death metal roots their brand new offering "In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust" will meet all expectations. However, Illdisposed have also developed their own form of death metal with groovy rhythms, melodic but still hard hitting riffs and a massive wall of sound with a unique subwoofer vocal in focus.

The experience gained from the production of 16 albums and the band's numerous shows all over Europe and as far away as New Zealand says it all: Illdisposed know what it's all about.

Over the years their success has not just been restricted to the metal scene: The last seven albums entered the official Danish album charts at position 85, 58, 44, 32, 78, 78 and 60 which made Illdisposed the first Danish death metal band with such high chart entries. The video to "Still Sane" was the most wanted metal video on VIVA Plus for two weeks and the track "Dark" was featured on the soundtrack to the horror blockbuster SAW.

In the fall of 2009 Illdisposed headlined the MTV Headbangers Ball Tour in Denmark. Numerous headlining- and co-headlining tours have been played all over Europe.

Not just scene experts should have recognized the name Illdisposed as a firm synonym for "finest metal quality" by now "Reveal Your Soul For The Dead" will most certainly secure the Danes a top position of the European metal scene!

Review ILLDISPOSED “In Chambers of Sonic Disgust”

Danish heavyweights Illdisposed are among the veterans when it comes to heavy metal from the north. Founded in 1991, the band from Aarhus has released numerous albums, but it took a while before the band announced a new longplayer with “In Chambers of Sonic Disgust”.

The previous album “Reveal Your Soul for the Dead” was released in 2019, and now, five years later, the band returns with an eleven-song longplayer. There are several reasons why the band needed some time to finish their latest work. The pandemic of course had an effect on the production time, but the band was also hit by another stroke of fate when guitarist Rasmus Henriksen was diagnosed with brain cancer. A 100% focus on treatment was the understandable consequence. The search for a replacement brought former Illdisposed guitarist Ken Holst back into the band and work on “In Chambers of Sonic Disgust” could be brought to the finish line.

The new album features all the band’s trademarks. The growled vocals of Bo Summer, the twin guitar work of Batten and Holst, together with the groove providing rhythm section of Onkel K. Jensen and Rasmus Schmidt lead to songs that are heavy and sinister. At the same time, the band embeds melodic guitar leads that provide a bit of a distraction from the ultimate heaviness that echoes through songs like the massive ‘The Ill-Disposed’.

Illdisposed shift gears with ‘Start Living Again’, which is a bit faster than some of the other parts of this release, and things get even faster with ‘And of My Hate’. The song comes out of the gate at a blistering pace and blends melodic death metal with some thrash metal spice.

Illdisposed deliver a rock solid new album. There might not be one or two real highlights on this album’s track list, but it is the consistency of quality that makes “In Chambers of Sonic Disgust” a dark and grooving metal record.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). What is the best time to visit moscow.

Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. Each player selects five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. However, you can also have the lottery machine generate a quick pick ticket with random numbers for you.
