Billie Eilish announces world tour, hitting 3 Canadian cities

Singer to visit quebec city, toronto and vancouver on international tour.

Singer-songwriter superstar Billie Eilish is launching a massive concert tour — with both good and bad news for her Quebec fans.

The Grammy-winning musician will kick off her upcoming tour in Quebec City on Sept. 29 in support of her soon-to-released album  Hit Me Hard and Soft . 

But despite moving on to Toronto with shows on both Oct. 1 and 2, Eilish does not have any concerts scheduled for Quebec's most populous city, Montreal. 

After her upcoming dates in Toronto, the singer will move on to the United States, before returning to Vancouver on Dec. 3. From there, her tour will continue on to Australia and Europe for the summer of 2025.

Why big artists are performing in fewer Canadian cities

Eilish's last tour,  Happier Than Ever, saw planned dates in both Toronto and Montreal cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, though Eilish did return to Montreal in late 2023 for the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival.

The news arrived via Instagram, where Eilish shared album artwork showing the pop singer floating in a body of water after being ejected from a door. In the caption, she wrote that she will not drop singles in advance of the release.

"I wanna give it to you all at once," she captioned the image. "I truly could not be more proud of this album."

Eilish worked with her brother and longtime collaborator, Finneas, on Hit Me Hard and Soft . The pair recently took home their second Oscar for their big Barbie  ballad What Was I Made For?  In doing so, Eilish, 22, became the youngest person to have won two career Oscars.

Her new album will release on May 17, while tickets for the upcoming concert will go on sale May 3 on Ticketmaster.

As of today, May 3, Canadian fans can get their hands on tickets to Billie Eilish's upcoming Hit Me Hard and Soft tour.

Announced earlier this week , the tour accompanies the pop star's new record of the same name, out May 17. The tour kicks off in Quebec City at the Centre Videotron on Sept. 29, before two nights at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and, later, a stop in Vancouver. Tickets are available here .

Missy Elliott fans can also now secure their spot in the crowd at the her first ever headlining tour, Out Of This World. The star just added a second date in Toronto, on Aug. 20 at Scotiabank Arena due to popular demand, where she'll be accompanied by Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and super-producer Timbaland. Elliott is also coming to Vancouver on July 4 and Montreal on Aug. 17. Grab tickets to see the Supa Dupa Fly rapper before they're gone.

Toronto R&B artist and Billboard Canada cover star PartyNextDoor also announced new dates this week. Supporting his latest LP, PartyNextDoor 4 , the Sorry I'm Outside Tour is coming to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Montreal this summer (presumably, a Toronto date is yet to be announced). U.K. rock superstars Oasis are coming to Toronto next year, NME reports .

The beloved and infamous brother duo of Noel and Liam Gallagher are reuniting for their first live shows since before the band split in 2010. They initially announced a handful of U.K. dates , creating a ticket frenzy that's left many fans frustrated. Rumours have swirled about other cities Oasis might tour, and now British music magazine NME has published a list of 13 international cities that band will reportedly play – starting with Toronto. The publication cites "sources close to the tour."

In addition to Toronto, the list includes Chicago, East Rutherford (New Jersey), Boston, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, Sao Paulo, Santiago and Buenos Aires.

Fans are speculating about which venues the brothers will visit, with some circulating unconfirmed rumours that the Toronto date will be at Downsview Park — right by where Live Nation's new 50,000-capacity Rogers Stadium is set to be built .

Announcing the new stadium yesterday, Live Nation's Erik Hoffman told Billboard Canada that the impetus for the new purpose-built live music venue came specifically from one act, who otherwise might have skipped the city.

"The idea came from [working with] a major artist who we were very frustrated that we couldn't find dates to work," Hoffman said. "They were just going to bypass Toronto on their world tour."

Could Oasis be the artist that inspired Rogers Stadium? Maybe.

NME says official details about Oasis's international dates are expected next week.

Billie Eilish will bring her massive new world tour to Vancouver this year

Superstar singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has a new album coming out this May and now the award-winning performer has announced a massive world tour kicking off this fall and running nearly a full year, with a stop this December in Vancouver.

Eilish, whose Hit Me Hard and Soft album debuts May 17, will embark on her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour in September in Quebec before making stops in cities across North America. Wrapping up with a three-show run in Los Angeles in mid-December ending the day before her 23rd birthday, Eilish will resume the tour in February 2025 in Australia before spending time April through July touring Europe.

The Vancouver show is just one of four concerts Eilish will perform in Canada on this tour. In addition to the opening night in Quebec, Eilish plays two shows in Toronto. 

Eilish’s forthcoming album was written by Eilish and Finneas, her brother and long-time collaborator, who also produced the album.

The American songwriter and singer has been in the spotlight for nearly a decade after her song "Ocean Eyes" made huge waves. This year, Eilish and her brother won the Academy Award for the song  "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie movie; the win made her the youngest-ever two-time Oscar winner.

Emphasizing her dedication to sustainability, Eilish's new tour features several elements aimed at upping fan participation in eco-friendly initiatives. One simple thing Eilish is asking fans to do is to take public transit to the concert venue to see the show. Another ask is that Eilish's fans opt to wear thriifted clothing rather than shop fast fashion for concert attire. There will also be a water bottle exchange program at the shows. 

"Sustainability efforts on this tour will include reducing greenhouse gas pollution, decreasing single-use plastic waste, supporting climate action, and updating concession offerings to promote and encourage plant-based food options," describes promoter Live Nation in a media release.   Tickets will available starting with the American Express® Presale beginning Tuesday, April 30, with additional presales running throughout the week. Any remaining tickets will be available during the general on-sale starting Friday, May 3 on  billieeilish.com . 

The tour will use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange for fans who cannot use their tickets.

Billie Eilish is taking her album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT on a massive tour — and it kicks off right here in Canada.

The enormous outing begins in the fall with a few shows in Canada: Quebec City on September 29, then two nights in Toronto on October 1 and 2. Then, after a US leg, she will return to Canada on December 3 in Vancouver. In the new year, she will tour Australia, Europe, and the UK and Ireland. See the schedule below.

Following presales throughout this week, tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday (May 3).

I went to her show in Boston, 2018. The show was great, I really liked her performance, however, my brother who was with me at the time noted that she was singing along to her own vocals with her song, so it wasn’t just the instrumental. For me, the wait in the venue was really a downside. The doors opened at 7, nothing happened until 8, the opening act started and ended at 8:30, and then we waited for another 30-40 minutes. My brother even told me when it was 9 that if she hadn’t come out by 9:30, we’d just leave. Hearing that after waiting four hours before even getting in made me sad. The concert was great though, but the worst part of it for me was the people in front of me. I know it isn’t billie’s fault herself, but I felt that maybe I should say this as a review of my experience. There was a girl beside me who kept glancing at me every two seconds on purpose as if I was doing something wrong!! I don’t know if it was because of my coat (which I couldn’t do anything about, everyone was cramped together anyways, but she was so annoying and aggravating!!!! I was honestly about to tell her something, and my brother noticed too. The fans around me were kind of rude, like going into a space for handicapped people, and pushing against people who were handicapped. But beyond that, maybe if I was actually able to see the show and not have to look through the cracks of two heads, I would have enjoyed it so so much more. So if you’re short and there’s no seats at the venue, I suggest you get there really really early! 4 hours wasn’t enough for me, but it depends.

Seeing Billie Eilish in concert was a great pleasure !

The energy that she gives to the audience is crazy, the control she has on her voice, her dance moves, the musicians with her and her being so young are all the facts that make her concerts amazing.

She is close to her public and really owns the stage, I honestly think she is going to do very great in the music industry if she goes on like this.

The public that attends her concerts is also quite young, problably in a range from 15 to 25. As for the kind of music she makes, I am really not a specialist but if I had to describe it, I would definitely use the words "chill", "confidence", "energy" and "f*ckyou".

As a plus : I personnaly love the fact that she writes and plays with her brother, I think they have such a special bond, it's nice to see them together !

My point of view is really altered beacause I love everything about her, but still, I think you have to see this all by yourself ;)

The Billie Eilish WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO show was the best night of my life. It was super rainy before the show started and there was a severe weather warning throughout the opener, Denzel Curry. A lot of people left and took shelter, but since it was GA, my group and I stayed put. Denzel was an absolutely AMAZING opener, and he had SOO much energy. His songs were amazing, especially Clout Cobain, my current favorite song ever, other than Billie’s songs. After the opener, there was songs blasting through the speakers, such as Ariana Grande, and Sam Smith. I’m pretty sure Billie picked these songs and that were a great way to get ready for her. It began to get really dark in the sky, and the rain stopped. It was time for the show. There were lights and they turned off and her intro started playing. The show started and she had so much energy and she was so happy. The concert was insane.

It was the best show. Really. If you have any chance to see her take it . The energyyyy. I can’t even describe it. I can still feel it when I think about the show . And she was sooo cute I love her. She got emotional and cried a bit and she thanked us and said that we are the reason that she is living a dream she was so sweet. And for all the songs she was hyped and the whole arena was jumping, screaming, singing just enjoying the show. And when she sang the last song she left and we were all screaming and clapping and screaming Billie because we didn’t want it to end . And then she got back and bad guy went on again and let me tell you that shit was craaazyy. We all gave everything to the song and it was epic . Really , really amazing and I wish I could go again and again on every single show there is. I love her so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Epic.

I absolutely loved this show!! The way the theater was built, every seat had a great view and it wasn’t too far from the stage. I loved the show very very much. Billie’s graphics and the way she uses her props are amazing, ESPECIALLY the videos and the way she incorporates them into her lyrics. And the way her and her brother (Finneas o’connell) get along are adorable. She talks to the audience enough to get them hyped up for the next song! Billie sadly sprung her foot a few days before the show, but that didn’t stop her from doing ANYTHING, she was a trooper and kept the show going and exciting. Absolutely loved it and so did my family & friends, billie is such an awesome person and i’m so glad i got to go. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to her concert if you can, you will NOT regret it. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3

I am a 51 year old Mother of a 15 year old daughter. This was her first concert and she brought a friend. I wasnt that familiar with Billie Eillish but found her to be crazy talented. Her show was filled with amazing theatrics. The relationship between her and her brother Is so sweet. Great Show! Not usually a fan of rap but also enjoyed Denzel Curry. Denzel was nice enough to stop the show when an audience member fainted. At that point he saiid he wanted everyone to have fun but to be safe. He had his crew pass out cold bottled water to as many people as they could. Next time Billie comes to KC, I bet she can fill a bigger auditorium such as Sprint Center. Overall a great experience and a memory for my daughter that she got to see her idol!

Billie Eilish was outstanding! It was one of the best nights ever! Her performance was perfect and vocals on point. I was crying my eyes out! The only problem was the General Admission sections. At first it didn’t seem too bad when we were waiting for Billie but, it so much worse. Everybody from the back started pushing and pushing us. I got bruises on both my arms. I understand that it’s General Admission but there certainly was no need to push. I even saw girls my age (12) getting pushed and trampled. It was horrific. Other than all that, Billie was absolutely the best. If you want to go to her concert, I suggest you spend a little more money on VIP tickets and ensure the best view (and you also won’t get pushed as much).

This was my first concert, I was kinda nervous for it to be standing crowd but OH MY GOD I CRIED! Billie was soooo amazing, I can’t even put it into words. The best part was how she told everyone to be in the moment and just live how you are, I felt so good then, she is the most pure human I’ve ever seen. The funniest part was probably when someone threw something on stage and the next thing Billie said was “that was definitely a bra”. She lit up my life, and having Denzel Curry open was so cool. They are both such woke people and it really changed how I see people that are famous, I thought most celebrities were uptight and dicks, but they were so nice! I LOVED IT SOOO MUCH!!

the billie eilish concert in slc was absolutely amazing. i have been to A LOT of awesome concerts in my life and none compare to her. she did so great. she was always dancing and moving around and the energy around her made u want to have a good time. i love how billie isn’t afraid to be herself and how she will just do whatever she wants. it was pretty crazy to be in the mosh pit because everyone just wanted to be closer to her so we were all shoving and pushing our way to the front. but overall this concert was incredible and i don’t think i will ever be able to go to a concert that out does billie eilish. thank u billie for an amazing night

Before the concert it took a little while longer to set up so the opening act had to stay out for a little longer and keep the crowd etertained. But once it got going the room imidiately lit up. The concert was very high energy and billie has such a great stage presence. Her voice live sounds amazing and her confidence was incredible. The same goes for her brother Phineas who performed with her. Both before and after the show she greeted non VIP fans who stayed late or got there early and she was really kind to them. One of the best and intimate concert experiences I’ve ever had and I hope to see her again live.

Billie Eilish Levitates in an Empty Office in 'Birds of a Feather' Music Video — Watch!

The pop star is set to kick off her 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' World Tour on Sunday, Sept. 29

Billie Eilish may be haunted.

On Friday, Sept. 27, the "Bad Guy" artist shared the music video for her single "Birds of a Feather" from her latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft which features Eilish levitating in an empty office.

Throughout the Zamiri-directed visual, the pop star, 22, is tilted in a chair, dragged across the floor and is even lifted into the air by a ghost as she sings romantically about a lover.

“I don’t know what I’m crying for/ I don’t think I could love you more,” Eilish sings. “It might not be long, but baby, I/ I’ll love you ’til the day that I die.”

Earlier this month, the "Lunch" artist revealed on  Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she and  Finneas worked on "Birds of a Feather" in the back of an SUV, sharing a video of the pair working on an older version of the track.

"This is a video I took on my phone in the back of the SUV in Brazil on the way to doing a show a year and a half ago," Eilish told the host. "This is a very normal thing for me and Finneas. We're always finding ourselves working in the most random places."

The Grammy winner added, "It's fun because it's so casual and normal and we were just in the back of this car and it's Finneas' laptop."

In the clip, Eilish can be heard singing along and offering Finneas suggestions before his laptop dies and he disappointedly closes it.

"That song never felt right... there's so many different versions," the "What Was I Made for?" singer said of the song. "It's such an old version of the song that I don't even really remember and it sounds so different and it's just really amazing to see how far the song has come."

Eilish is set to kick off the North American leg of her Hit Me Hard and Soft World Tour in Québec, Canada at Centre Videotron on Sunday, Sept. 29, making stops in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center on Oct. 5 and in New York City at Madison Square Garden from Oct. 16 to Oct. 18, before wrapping a three-date stint in Inglewood, Calif. at the Kia Forum on Dec. 17.

The Happier Than Ever, The World Tour is scheduled to stop at Montreal's Bell Centre on Feb. 15, Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on Feb. 16 and Vancouver's Rogers Arena on March 24. 

The tour is in support of Eilish's sophomore album Happier Than Ever , which comes out July 30 . The 16-track collection of new music is a follow-up to 2019’s  When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?  and was written with her brother FINNEAS, who also produced it.

Last December, Eilish pulled the plug on the remaining dates in her  Where Do We Go?  tour, which kicked off March 9, 2020 in Miami but was halted after only three shows due to COVID-19. Among the postponed dates was April 11, 2020 in Vancouver.

Tickets for the 2022 tour go on sale May 28 at 12 noon local time.

Ahead of tour launch, Billie Eilish finally releases video for "Birds of a Feather"

Billie Eilish 's song "Birds of a Feather" has been in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for quite some time, but now we've finally got the video for the track, ahead of the launch of her tour in support of her album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.

In the clip, directed by Aidan Zamiri , Billie sits alone in an  office building . While she sings, an invisible force — which is likely love, given the lyrics of the song — pulls her backward on the chair she's sitting in, drags her across the floor, propels her through the wall and finally sends her crashing to the floor on top of broken glass.

As she continues the song, the same force pulls her up a wall, then drags her at high speed across the carpet, but she's smiling the whole time.

The North American leg of Billie's HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR launches Sept. 29 in Québec, Canada, and is set to wrap up Dec. 17 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. On Oct. 19 she'll return to Saturday Night Live as the musical guest, with host Michael Keaton .

Premières en file pour voir Billie Eilish à Québec

À 11 h le vendredi 27 septembre, une cinquantaine de personnes faisaient déjà la file le long du Centre Vidéotron pour s’assurer une place de choix au concert de Billie Eilish dimanche, le tout premier de la tournée Hit Me Hard And Soft .

Quand Le Soleil est arrivé sur les lieux, les campeurs étaient absorbés par leurs écrans et découvraient avec plaisir le vidéoclip de la chanson Birds Of A Feather qui venait tout juste de sortir. En fait, il faudrait plutôt dire campeuses, car les femmes dominent largement dans le lot.

À la tête de la file commençant à la porte 15 du côté de l’entrée ouest, Daphné Couture porte fièrement le bracelet numéro 1. Ce bracelet lui permet d’aller aux toilettes mises à leur disposition et d’aller s’acheter de la nourriture sans perdre sa place. Mais la jeune femme de 21 ans hésite à s’aventurer trop loin: elle ne veut rien manquer de l’action! D’ailleurs, elle n’a pas dormi beaucoup dans le dernier 24 h.

Depuis trois jours, cette résidente de Québec passe ses journées autour de l’amphithéâtre dans l’espoir d’apercevoir Billie. Jeudi, elle croit avoir vu les pieds de la vedette et son garde du corps.

Comme les détenteurs de billets en admission générale étaient autorisés à s’installer dans la file à partir de 8 h le vendredi 27 septembre, plusieurs ont, comme Daphné, passé la nuit dernière sur le site du Centre Vidéotron afin de s’assurer d’être les premiers en file ce matin.

Des admiratrices venues de loin

Quelques sacs de couchage et matelas de sol plus loin, Le Soleil rencontre des admiratrices venues de très loin.

Kim et Ellie, deux Australiennes de 21 ans, sont arrivées dimanche dernier à Québec dans le but d’être parmi les premières personnes à découvrir le spectacle de la tournée Hit Me Hard And Soft . Elles veulent avoir la surprise avant de voir des images circuler en ligne.

Il s’agit de leur première visite au Québec, mais ce ne sera pas leur premier concert de Billie Eilish: Kim a vu l’Américaine en spectacle une fois et son amie huit. Elles sont d’ailleurs des campeuses de concert aguerries. Ce n’est pas la première fois qu’elles décident de faire la file quelques jours en avance pour s’assurer de bonnes places aux concerts de leurs artistes préférés, comme Noah Kahan notamment.

Ces résidentes de Melbourne ont mentionné être satisfaites des installations que le Centre Vidéotron a déployées pour les accommoder.

L’influence Billie

Il y a six ans, Sandrine a relevé le défi de manger végétalien pendant 21 jours et elle n’est jamais revenue à son ancien régime depuis ce temps. La résidente de Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu avait entendu la mère de Billie Eilish parler de ce défi dans une entrevue.

Avant d’être sensibilisée par la vedette américaine, Sandrine n’avait aucune idée des impacts négatifs de la consommation de viande et de produits animaliers.

Billie Eilish ha presentado el vídeo musical para su tema, ‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’, perteneciente a su tercer álbum de estudio, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT . Como es de esperarse de Eilish, el clip es bastante peculiar en relación a la canción, que entre versos declara el amor por alguien.

Dirigido por Aidan Zamiri, el vídeo muestra a Eilish en diferentes espacios de un edificio de oficinas abandonado. A lo largo del vídeo, es arrastrada y lanzada al espacio por fuerzas invisibles, pero mantiene su rostro alegre, casi como una metáfora sobre lo destructivo e impactante que puede ser el amor. Conforme el clip avanza, la cantante es cada vez más golpeada, llegando a la misma habitación donde el corto comenzó.

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT vio la luz en mayo de este año y fue un éxito instantáneo que se sumó a la discografía de la joven intérprete. El álbum se posicionó en el puesto número 2 en el Billboard 200 y sigue a sus trabajos anteriores como Happier Than Ever y  WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? . Este lanzamiento le sigue a la colaboración con Charli xcx en el remix de su tema ‘Guess’. Ambas intérpretes se unieron en un clip estrenado a principios de agosto. 

Eilish está próxima a dar inicio a su gira HIT ME HARD AND SOFT TOUR, que dará inicio el próximo 29 de septiembre en Quebec, Canadá. La serie de conciertos, que contará con el apoyo de artistas como The Marías, Nat & Alex Wolff y Towa Bird, llevará a la cantante a diferentes ciudades de Estados Unidos, Europa y Oceanía.

Hoy viernes 27 de septiembre, la cantante estadounidense Billie Eilish estrenó el esperado video musical de "BIRDS OF A FEATHER".

Esta pista producida por su hermano Finneas, se ha transformado en todo un éxito a nivel mundial : alcanzó la primera posición en las prestigiosas listas Billboard Global 200 y "Top 50 - Global" en Spotify, plataforma musical en donde suma más de 1.1 billones de reproducciones .

El segundo sencillo de su último álbum "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT", también ha entrado en el top 10 en más de 30 países , y ha consagrado a Eilish en la industria musical.

El artista que visitará nuestro país para el Lollapalooza Chile 2025, fue seleccionado por la revista tras su deslumbrante carrera musical que lo ha alzado como uno de las artistas masculinos más importantes de los últimos años.

Los detalles del video de "BIRDS OF A FEATHER"

En el nuevo video musical de Eilish dirigido por Aidan Zamiri, se puede ver a la estrella del pop de 22 años sentada sola en en un edificio de oficinas abandonado, en donde ella sonríe a sí misma a la cámara mientras un fantasma invisible de un ser querido la sacude, tira de su silla y la arrastra por el suelo.

"No sé por qué lloro. No creo que pueda amarte más. Puede que no pase mucho tiempo, pero baby , te amaré hasta el día que muera", canta Billie.

El video se estrena apenas dos días antes del inicio de su gira mundial "Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour" que empieza este domingo 29 de septiembre en Quebec, Canadá. La serie de conciertos recorrerá Norteamérica, Australia y Europa y finalizará en julio de 2025 en Dublín.

El tour también incluye tres shows sold out en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York que se realizarán desde el 16 al 18 de octubre. Al día siguiente, Billie estará en el famoso programa estadounidense Saturday Night Live (SNL) para actuar como invitada musical en un episodio presentado por el actor Michael Keaton.
