If you want to see the inside of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, this tour is the only way to walk through the premises (it's not open to the general public). Licensed guides delve into the unique burial customs and above-ground crypts found throughout the famous 18th-century cemetery. Here in one of the most mysterious cities in America, we offer a scenic daytime stroll down famous Canal Street to visit some of the most unique cemeteries in the world. Less a spooky tour and more an academic experience, this walk takes you by the famous above-ground tombs, called the CITIES OF THE DEAD — a nickname first used by author Mark Twain.

Nighttime Cemetery Tours in New Orleans

There are two cemetery bus tours in New Orleans that take place after dark, which we list below.

Of the nighttime cemetery tours currently available, there aren’t any that provide access inside of the cemeteries. 

Instead, your tour guide will take you to the cemetery gates and discuss some of the spookiest true stories and legends from the area.

One of the nice things about nighttime cemetery bus tours is that they will often take you to multiple cemeteries rather than just one, sometimes with stops at locations that are off the beaten path.

Since transportation is included with the tour, prices range from $45 - $55 per person. 

These outings are typically around 2 hours long, and they include multiple stops all around the city.

These nighttime cemetery tours are offered between the hours of 7 pm - 11 pm.
