Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys unveiled the dates for her upcoming Keys to the Summer Tour across North America on Tuesday (April 18).

The run of 23 dates kicks off June 28 at FLA Live Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and make stops in cities including Atlanta, Boston, New Orleans, Salt Lake City and Seattle before closing Aug. 2 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. Each stop will be unlike any concert the KEYS II star has done before thanks to completely redesigned production and staging that will present the singer’s soulful, piano-driven sound to fans in the round for the very first time.

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public this Friday (April 21) at 9 a.m. local time. However, Alicia Keys Fan Club and Keys Soulcare pre-sales are already ongoing, and additional pre-sales for Spotify, Live Nation, Ticketmaster and each venue on the tour will begin Thursday (April 20) at 10 a.m. local time. Some VIP packages will include the opportunity to join Keys in one of her intimate and highly exclusive “Soulcare Sessions” before each show.

In other news, Keys’ women-led “She Is the Music” songwriting camps — which she introduced back in 2018 while accepting the Songwriter Icon Award at Billboard Women in Music — will be the subject of Uncharted , a new documentary directed by Beth Aala set to premiere during the 2023 Tribeca Festival.

Alicia Keys Announces ‘Keys to the Summer’ 2023 North American Tour

  • By Larisha Paul

Larisha Paul

Alicia Keys will spend her upcoming summer on the road playing shows as part of the Keys to the Summer tour. The stretch of North American dates will find the singer making stops at 23 arenas with a 360-degree stage set to pack in as many fans as possible.

“The Keys to the Summer tour is going to be completely unforgettable and unmissable,” Keys shared in a statement. “I describe it as a celebration of freedom and self-liberation! It’s going to be colorful, magical and will light up your body, soul and all of your senses! This is my first time creating a 360 experience and we’ve made sure it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen! I’m so excited to see y’all this summer!”

The Keys to the Summer tour marks the singer’s return to North America just under a year after she wrapped the second leg of the Alicia + Keys world tour in support of her seventh and eighth studio albums Alicia and Keys , released in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Before then, she hadn’t been on an official tour since 2013’s Set the World on Fire tour. Now, it seems, Keys is making up for lost time.

Alicia Keys Embarks on Multi-City 'Keys to the Summer' Tour — See Photos!

Keys kicked off her 22-city tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Wednesday

Ramon Rivas

Alicia Keys  has started the summer on tour!

The 15-time Grammy winner kicked off her new Keys to the Summer 22-city tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Wednesday with a special guest performance from Cameroonian American Afrobeats singer Libianca.

While the longtime musician's setlist also includes favorites such as " Fallin ," "A Woman's Worth," and "My Boo," fans can expect to see Keys perform for the first time in a 360-degree "in the round" production setup.

The new tour concept was done in collaboration with creative director Diane Martel (who directed the Miley Cyrus Bangerz tour) and production designer Chiara Stephenson, who previously worked on tours for Lorde and Bjork .

Speaking about her new approach to music, Keys shared with PEOPLE in July, "Early in my career, I was doing everything to please everyone. I thought I had to be perfect. Over time, I've freed myself of those impositions. I realized that while I may have adopted them, I don't want them. Now it's about what I want, how I want to express myself, and my own intentions! I get to choose (and so do you!)."

Fans who attend one of the multi-city tour stops will also be able to access exclusive world tour content by scanning a QR code that will redirect them to curated content on Shazam, including never-before-seen backstage videos, set lists, tour photos, Watch faces, and wallpapers.

Alicia Keys 'Keys To The Summer Tour'

Alicia Keys’ ‘Keys To The Summer Tour’ Leaned On Love And Unity For A Nostalgic Night

Wongo Okon

This summer marked 22 years since the release of Alicia Keys’ debut album Songs In A Minor and the official start of what became a massive music career. Since then, numerous Grammy Awards and multiple No. 1 songs, both as a lead and featured artist, are just some of what stands out on Keys’ resume. While Keys is a more low-key superstar than she was in the 2000s, her legend hasn’t diminished and remained captivating during her Keys To The Summer Tour stop in Boston’s TD Garden.

Unsurprisingly, the arena was packed with fans who grew up on Keys’ music. The crowd was mostly millennials who watched the young singer blossom into what she is today rather than a younger generation who may not be fully aware of her previous status. With that in mind, Keys’ setlist for the night reflected the audience at hand. A show that lasted nearly two hours contained just a few songs from Keys’ recent albums ALICIA and KEYS released in 2020 and 2021, respectively. The rest of the setlist bounced around beloved albums like Songs In A Minor , The Diary Of Alicia Keys , As I Am , and The Element Of Freedom .

Alicia Keys 'Keys To The Summer Tour'

Keys kicked off the night with “Fallin’” which captured the attention of the arena through the introduction of Keys’ trademark voice and the equally notoriously dance of the piano keys that is easily recognized more than 20 years after its release. The nostalgia only increased as Keys navigated through other records that are undeniable standouts in her discography like “You Don’t Know My Name,” “Unthinkable,” and “My Boo” as well as other strong outputs that include “New Day” and “Karma.” Keys also made room for her newer records throughout the night. “Love Looks Better” and “Underdog” fit well into the setlist from a sonic perspective, as did “Come For Me” and “City Of Gods (Part II), proving that though the music industry has changed over the years, Keys has stayed true to her vast pocket over the last two decades.

The last half of the night was more focused on Keys’ biggest records and songs that became cult classics over the years. A soaring performance of “A Woman’s Worth” was followed by a captivating rendition of “Superwoman.” A tender moment was shared through “Butterflyz” and “That’s How Strong My Love Is” and again with “Diary” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again.” The energy returned with lively performances of “I Need You” and “The Gospel.” Through it all, Keys seemed to have the time of her life, utilizing the entire stage, which stretched from end to end of the arena. It allowed her the opportunity to interact with the crowd in all areas of the room, and in return, she received the excitement and energy that they had within throughout the night.

Alicia Keys 'Keys To The Summer Tour'

Keys’ show at TD Garden concluded with a collection of her biggest hits, all of which the crowd in attendance was more than happy to join. “Girl On Fire” was met with roars from the audience as TD Garden quite literally heated up to sing the record in one accord. Keys then jumped into her classic hook on Jay-Z’s “Empire State Of Mind” before checking into the 2016 record “In Common,” which is a personal favorite of mine from her catalog. At long last, to close the night, Keys ended with an empowering performance of “No One” before delivering a grand finale encore with “If I Ain’t Got You.”

Keys’ night at TD Garden was driven by love for her fans and hits that unified everyone in the building. For two hours, the arena came together to indulge in love songs and uplifting records. The experience was made better by the 360-degree stage design that allowed Alicia Keys to interact with all corners of the arena. It was also proof of how this can and should become the standard for artists that perform in arenas as opposed to the traditional setup that leaves some in the space at a disadvantage. Keys’ Keys To The Summer Tour leaned on love and unity for a nostalgic night that certainly left fans to reflect and appreciate all that she’s done over her two-decade career.

Surprise! Alicia Keys Joins Usher Onstage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

By Margaux Anbouba

Surprise Alicia Keys Joins Usher Onstage at the Halftime Show

Alicia Keys will always be Usher’s boo—at least that’s what the duo proved in front of 65,000 fans tonight at Super Bowl 58. The singer, songwriter, beauty entrepreneur, and theater producer surprised football fans on Sunday night by taking the field during halftime in a stunning red bodysuit covered with crystals.

After Usher opened his act in custom Dolce & Gabbana with “Caught Up” (absolute banger) followed by “Love in this Club” (another banger), the camera dramatically panned to the right. There Keys sat at a candy apple red lacquered piano under a single spotlight. She was styled by Jason Bolden in a Dolce & Gabbana catsuit with Swarovski crystals that perfectly matched the piano and a dramatic organza cape.

Anybody who was sentient in the early ’00s instantly knew why she was there: The two singers released their hit “My Boo” in 2004 as part of Usher’s incredibly successful Confessions album.

Surprise Alicia Keys Joins Usher Onstage at the Halftime Show

In a 2016 essay for the now defunct Lenny Letter, Keys famously shared that she was no longer wearing makeup. While she recently told Vogue that her relationship to cosmetics had shifted again in the years since, Keys still appeared to be makeup light (and glowy!) under the Allegiant Stadium lights. (The beauty look was by makeup artist Dotti and hair by Fesa Nu .)

Keys was just one of many guest celebrities that our Winter Issue digital cover star brought to Vegas: Usher’s performance also included H.E.R., a group of incredibly talented roller-skate artists, and Ludacris. The hits simply didn’t stop—and needless to say we’re booking tickets to see Usher’s new tour ASAP.

Pink stops concert after fan goes into labor: ‘Is the baby here?’

Pink faced an unexpected moment during her latest performance in Sydney. The singer was in the middle of her show as part of her Summer Carnival stadium tour in Australia, when she was forced to stop when she noticed a fan in the middle of the mosh pit experiencing an unusual situation.

Super Bowl LVIII’s luxury suites: Cost and benefits of the VIP treatment

Tiesto drops out as super bowl dj due to family emergency, super bowl: alicia keys to join usher as a special guest at the halftime show.

The musician had to suddenly stop her performance of her hit song ‘Our Song’ at the Allianz Stadium when the audience at the front grabbed her attention when a woman started going into labor. Pink stopped the show and a medic rushed to take the fan out of the mosh pit in a wheelchair.

Pink was surprised by the situation and asked if the new baby would be named after her following the birth. “Is it Alecia or Alex being born right now?,” Pink, born Alecia Beth Moore, said. She also urged the audience to give the woman some space while the medic arrived.

“I feel like we shouldn’t be looking,” she said. “Everyone give her privacy!” Pink was still in disbelief when she learned the news. “She didn’t just have the baby, right? Is the baby here? No? Okay,” she said before shouting “Congratulations!” to the new mom.

The singer concluded by saying that she was surprised that it was ‘Our Song’ that caused the woman to go into labor. “I thought it would have been like ‘Get the Party Started’ or ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’,” she said about her more upbeat tracks.

Pink went on to resume the show, with fans sharing their excitement about the unusual moment. “It’s going to be great!” she said. The singer was joined by her two children Willow and Jameson, and her husband Carey Hart, during her time in Australia.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Go beneath the streets on this tour of the spectacular, mind-bending Moscow Metro! Be awed by architecture and spot the Propaganda , then hear soviet stories from a local in the know. Finish it all up above ground, looking up to Stalins skyscrapers, and get the inside scoop on whats gone on behind those walls.

Know More about this tour

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

Traveler Reviews

This tour exceeded our expectations. Nikolai (Nick), our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, thorough, and has a great personality. He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.

We did the tour with Anna her knowledge and understanding of the History surrounding the metro brought the tour alive. Well done Anna!
