Laura and crew got us going in a quick professional way and off we went with a map of local routes. With Mrs P having slight mobility issues it suited her as we would never have got around on foot to see so much. What freedom. Infrastructure on cycle paths puts the UK to shame. And for the cost of the tour unacceptable. Second our guide was friendly and his English just barely good enough, but his knowledge of history quite lacking. I don’t care how tall the tower is. Tell me a story about it. “Something to do with Eleanor of Aquitaine and the Protestants and Richelieu” is not acceptable coming from someone who is supposed to be a professional guide in an ancient city. I also didn’t need to see the whole marina, it’s huge, but to me a boat is a boat. He should have shown us the city and the life there. Visiting La Rochelle from a cruise ship for the day we pre-booked a half day rental of e-scooters. What a fab way to get around at your own pace and see the glory of La Rochelle. Laura and crew got us going in a quick professional way and off we went with a map of local routes. With Mrs P having slight mobility issues it suited her as we would never have got around on foot to see so much. What freedom. Infrastructure on cycle paths puts the UK to shame.
