GHOST is continuing to tour in support of its fifth album, "Impera" , which sold 70,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at position No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. It marked the third top 10 album — and fifth top 40-charting set — for the Swedish act.

"Impera" landed at position No. 1 in Germany and Sweden, No. 2 in the U.K., Netherlands, Belgium and Norway, No. 3 in Australia, No. 5 in France and Ireland, and No. 20 in Italy.

"Impera" was released on March 11. The 12-song effort was produced by Klas Åhlund and mixed by Andy Wallace .

GHOST mastermind Tobias Forge worked on the follow-up to 2018's "Prequelle" with Åhlund and Swedish co-writers Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare , whose credits include Madonna and Lady Gaga .

In March 2020, at final show of GHOST 's "Prequelle" tour in Mexico City, Mexico, the band officially introduced Papa Emeritus IV , the new character who is fronting the act for its "Impera" album phase.

Forge performed as a "new" Papa Emeritus on each of the band's first three LPs, with each version of Papa replacing the one that came before it. Papa Emeritus III was retired in favor of Cardinal Copia before the release of "Prequelle" .

MASTODON was one of the "Best Metal Performance" nominees at the 64th annual Grammy Awards , which was held on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The progressive metallers were nominated for their song "Pushing The Tides" , the first single from their latest album, "Hushed And Grim" , which came out in October.

The follow-up to 2017's "Emperor Of Sand" , "Hushed And Grim" was recorded at West End Sound , which is located inside of Ember City , the rehearsal facility that members of MASTODON manage in Atlanta. Helming the effort was Grammy -winning producer/mixer/engineer David Bottrill , who has previously worked with MUSE , DREAM THEATER and TOOL , among many others.

The "Hushed And Grim" artwork was created by longtime MASTODON collaborator Paul Romano , who also designed the sleeves for "Crack The Skye" , "Blood Mountain" , "Leviathan" and more.

"Emperor Of Sand" debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. That LP was nominated for the 2018 Grammy Award for "Best Rock Album," and its opening track, "Sultan's Curse" , won the Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance."

Mastodon Tour 2023/2024

Mastodon tour 2023 - 2024 announced : The metal bands Mastodon and Opeth will join forces for an outstanding tour this spring. The two bands announced 16 tours from April 21 to May 11, following a previous joint tour last fall.

OPETH will return to the stage this spring for the second leg of their North American tour as co-leaders with Mastodon. The tour begins on April 21 in Montreal, Quebec, and will tour 16 American and Canadian cities, ending on May 11 in Riverside, California. See all confirmed dates below.

Place Bell in Montreal will host the first leg of the tour on April 21st. Following are further dates in Toronto (April 22), Cleveland (April 23), Pittsburgh (April 24), Philadelphia (April 26), Chicago (April 28), Detroit (April 29) and Milwaukee (April 30).

Both groups will travel to St Paul, Minnesota, on May 1. They returned to Canada, stopping in Saskatoon (May 3), Calgary (May 4), Edmonton (May 5) and Vancouver (May 7). Very entertaining gig and great audience response. It was my first time at Brixton Academy and quite liked it. Acoustics were decent, but you can't expect studio-like quality with this kind of music. Mutoid Man were convincing, Kvelertak were exciting and Mastodon were on fire. Scott Kelly taking part to the end of the show added an epic flavour to the whole experience.

How can Mastodon fail,

They are the superheroes of music if you ask me.

The venue was hot, I had to dump my water and purchase a $4 bottle.

Although we did get a complementary towel and plastic fan..

The band performed flawlessly as hoped.

They need to come to Redding California

Also Primus was good but.....

Mastodon definitely should have been headlining that show.

Fifth time of seeing mastodon live, these guys never fail to deliver the goods. On a freezing cold night in Manchester mastadon brought their latest stage show to the masses. A 90 minute set of all the classics plus a chunk of songs from the latest album emperor of Sands. Great show,great set,great band. An excellent night of live music was had by 2000 metalheads who decended on Manchester academy last night.

Get ready for a heavy dose of hard rock. Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. will be teaming up for 2018 tour dates in North America. The opening band for all shows will be Brooklyn group Netherlands.

The new shows are scheduled to begin in early September and extend to the end of the month. These concerts are in addition to each band's previously announced dates.  Mastodon will also be touring with Primus . 

When do Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. 2018 tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?

The general public on-sale begins as early as May 4, 2018.

Presales for fans and American Express cardmembers will begin on May 1. A few weeks after Green Day announced their upcoming Saviors Tour at a secret show in Las Vegas , fans can finally buy tickets to the punk-rock legends’ 2024 concert dates.

Kicking off next July at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., the band will hit the road for a multi-city summer tour trek across North America to support their 14th studio release, Saviors , as well as the anniversaries for a few of their iconic albums.

Drake is set to go right back on the road, this time with J. Cole on the It's All a Blur, Big As the What? Tour.

The tour, named after lyrics from the pair's "For All the Dogs" track "First Person Shooter," kicks off with two nights in Denver on Jan. 18-19, 2024.

The Grammy-winning artists will also make stops in Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Nashville, St. Louis, Memphis and more before wrapping up on March 27, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Drake's 2023 It's All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage ended last month, which saw the rappers play 50 arena shows across North America. The 2024 tour includes rescheduled dates from the Canadian rapper's 2023 tour, including shows postponed in Denver, New Orleans, Nashville and Columbus, Ohio.

Thirty Seconds to Mars 2024 world tour is scheduled to be held from March 15, 2024 to September 19, 2024 in venues across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Oceania respectively. The tour, titled Seasons World Tour 2024, will be in support of the the band's new album, It's The End of The World But It's a Beautiful Day!! .

Thirty Seconds to Mars announced the new tour, which will feature supporting performances from AFI, Poppy, and Kennyhoopla on the North America leg, via a post on their official Instagram page on November 9, 2023, stating:

"Today we launch SEASONS WORLD TOUR 2024 in celebration of our brand new album, It's The End of The World But It's a Beautiful Day!! We are so excited to get back out on the road and to come see you in so many amazing places all over the world 🖤It's been too long. We miss you. We love you. Bryan Adams Extends ‘So Happy It Hurts’ Tour With 2024 Dates

Today, famed musician and singer-songwriter Bryan Adams announced the extension of his highly successful So Happy It Hurts Tour with 29 dates slated for next year. Produced by Live Nation, the 2024 run kicks off on Saturday, January 20 in Billings, MT at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark, with stops across North America in San Jose, El Paso, Mexico City, Orlando, Pittsburgh, and more before wrapping up on Wednesday, March 20 in Syracuse, NY at Upstate Medical University Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial. Special guest Dave Stewart’s Eurythmics Songbook will join as support across the tour.

TICKETS: Tickets will be available starting with an Artist Presale beginning Tuesday, November 14 at 10 AM local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, November 17 at 10 AM local time at bryanadams.com .

VIP: The tour will also offer a variety of different VIP packages and experiences for fans to take their concert experience to the next level. Additionally, Adams will release his new box set, LIVE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL (BMG) , on December 8, 2023. The box set includes a total of 35 live songs, a Blu-Ray DVD of all the performances, plus a 32-page photo book featuring exclusive images from the three storied nights. Drake and J. Cole to Hit the Road Together for 2024 Tour

The tour follows Drake's recent run of It's All a Blur dates with 21 Savage.

It’s All a Blur isn’t over .

Monday morning, Drake announced a run of tour dates with J. Cole for 2024, starting with a pair of shows at Denver’s Ball Arena. Several of the dates, including two shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in February, mark rescheduled stops from Drake’s original It’s All a Blur run this year. For that tour, Drake enlisted 21 Savage as co-headliner.

Tickets are on sale starting this Wednesday through a Cash App card presale , while general ticket sales kick off this Friday at 11 a.m. local time.

Just last month, Drake and Cole linked up for the For All the Dogs track “ First Person Shooter, ” which went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. As Drake’s 13th chart-topper, the track gave him the distinction of tying a record long held by the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson .

In a recent A Safe Place discussion with Lil Yachty , Cole reflected on the track’s success, specifically it having given him his first-ever No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 chart.

"I’d almost feel better not having my first No. 1 be off a Drake alley-oop, you know what I mean?" Cole told Yachty. "Like, I love Drake and I love that I’m a part of that moment with him with Michael Jackson. But it’s like, bruh, I’m grateful I’m a part of it."
