A whole new lake tour has arrived in the Ozarks–Branson Jet Boats is the first tour of its kind in the area. A jet boat tour combines an ideal location with history, local stories & natural beauty along with a specially designed boat that is capable of thrilling maneuvers along the way that combine to make one unbelievable  adventure in Branson .

Leaving from their dock at the Branson Landing, each tour lasts an hour taking riders on a journey down Lake Taneycomo and back, a 14 mile round trip. Along the way a US Coast Guard licensed captain tells you about local lore, info on wildlife & nature along the lake and the history of how this area came to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. But that’s not all. When the boat reaches the open lake it cruises at speeds up to 35 mph and performs exciting maneuvers including 360 spins, slides and bow dunks (where the Jet Boat gets up to speed then cuts & reverses the throttle, dropping the front of the boat down and giving a good splash to the first few rows). Because it combines entertainment, information, and spectacular surroundings it is quickly becoming one of most popular new adventures in town.

These adventures wouldn’t be possible without the specially designed boat, The Cyclone. Powered by Three 400 HP Ford Raptor Engines there is plenty of power ready at a moment’s notice to give the up to 65 passengers a thrilling ride. This power is coupled to Three Hamilton Jets for propulsion. The boat also has a specially designed hull which when combined with the jet propulsion system is able to travel in much shallower waters, produces a smaller wake than comparably sized boats, and is able to slide across the water and do the many maneuvers that the visitors love.

Each Jet Boat passenger is carrying on a tradition that started over 100 years ago on the White River before Lake Taneycomo was formed by the hydroelectric dam built on the River. At that time passenger boats began taking day cruises from where the Branson Landing stands today down river to the towns of Forsyth and Rockaway Beach and visitors from all over the world began to come to the Ozarks, the early vanguard of today’s nearly 8 million yearly visitors. This was a lot of fun, worth the cost of a ticket ($39.99 per adult). Their PA system was jacked up so it was annoying when the captain would talk about some point of interest while we were in the quiet portion of the ride and he sounded like the adults in Peanuts cartoons (wah wah wahhh wah). The fun part of the ride is when the captain does some fun 360s and big 180s and then comes to a very fast stop. Now. Please listen to me very closely: when they tell you the first three rows of the boat get wet, they don't mean a little splash from the wake. You get what amounts to a huge bucket of water poured over your head. It's not just wet, it's SOAKING WET, like you've jumped in a pool. Not for the faint of heart. If you are in the first 3-4 rows you can't go get lunch afterwards at Branson Landing. You have to go home, strip, shower, dry out all your belongings. I'm just saying, bring a backpack with dry clothes and put your phone in a plastic bag. The rest of the boat's rows were dry. Recommend, am just a little salty about getting so wet (they TOLD us, I just didn't listen).

We spent 5 days in Branson and we seen a sign about Branson Jet boat. We have been on a couple others but in Florida so expectations were kinda already set. They offer priority boarding for additional money think it was about $9 a ticket which we didn't do. Driver was very informal of boat and details about the lake. When we took off it was slow due to the boat docks and residential area but when we got out away from there the gloves were off and it was a blast! Did multiple 360 turns and countless nose dives drenching anyone in rows 1-4. I highly recommend this to anyone!

The ride on the boat was so much fun! We rode quite a way up the lake so there was lots to see. The stunts were fun, but not so crazy that I felt uncomfortable. My husband has right side paralysis and the crew was very patient and helpful to get him into the boat and out. Very enjoyable!

Party of 9 on July 3, 2021, 2 pm group. The first half was fine. 30 minutes, a couple of 360-degree turns, one bow dunk getting the first few rows wet. The jet boat broke down halfway through after the boat purposefully drove into team of ducks swimming in the water. Not all the ducks flew away. Didn't seem like all the ducks dove safely under water. A lot of us guessed that a duck went into a propeller / jet. The crew announced a few times that they were going to "try one more thing" but the boat never got faster than slow. Pontoons passed us by. Lots of time idly floating in the water. The last half took over an hour, most of it sitting in the sun without any breeze or any way to cool down. Misery. Everyone around me was dehydrated, bitter, annoyed, and frustrated. When we finally returned to dock at around 3:30, the next group (4 pm) was lined up ready to go. Same boat, no other boat in sight. Management did nothing, said nothing to the people waiting to board despite the boat obviously having technical difficulties. Many of us went to the kiosk to complain and request refunds. The woman at the kiosk contacted management. The first response was INSULTING. We were told that there would be not any refund since we still got to enjoy a "leisurely boat ride on the lake." WHAT?! First of all, Branson Jet Boats sells tickets based on the speed, excitement, 360-degree spins, and getting wet. We did NOT pay for a "leisurely boat ride on the lake"! Plus, we were hot and miserable - we DEFINITELY did not pay for that horrible experience! Eventually, management agreed to refund us half. When it got to my turn, they claimed I paid $328.50 for 5 adults and 4 children. I paid $345.89. I showed the electronic receipt from their very own website AND the price I paid on my credit card account clearly showing that I paid $345.89. I was told that they could only refund 50% of the amount they claimed I paid ($328.50). After trying to argue, I gave up as my family was already late for another obligation. When I got the receipt showing my refund, THE RECEIPT SHOWED I PAID $345.89! It even printed that after the refund of $164.25, I still ended up paying $181.84! If I truly were refunded 50%, then the amount of the refund should equal the amount I paid after the refund! Bottom line: Unethical, greedy management/ownership. I don't need the extra $8.69 that I should have been refunded. It's not about that. I have no respect for a business that (1) first tried to deny any refund by claiming that we still got we paid for and (2) still tried to cheat me out of a few dollars after agreeing to a 50% refund. They could have easily avoided any ill will by taking small measures to apologize and work to accommodate us. There should be contingency plans in place for how to placate their paying customers if the boat malfunctions. I feel bad for the groups after us boarding a malfunctioning boat with no disclosure from management! My advice to anyone and everyone - AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Me and my wife rode it is very fun. The boat dose power slides side to side. Does a few nose dives everyone in front gets a little wet nothing bad. The captain spins the boat all the way around to the left and right. Good for all ages. You will get just a little wet but by the time it's all over you'll be dry again. Last one hour.

Please don't waste your money!!! I thought it was a complete dud. Its 92° outside and we want to cool off. Didn't happen. I don't know, maybe my expectations were to high. We got 360 turns that kind of misted water on you. Once they dunked the front of the boat and soaked the first 2 rows. Other than that nothing. People were reaching over the sides of the boat to splash water on each other.

My family really enjoyed it so I guess that is most important. I found it average. You go on about an hour ride that includes about 20 spins. I would relate it to being at an amusement park and riding a fun ride over and over. We sat in row 3 and I goutbsprayed with water a few times but I for sure was not soaked or wet. I would say it was like being in a light rain. My daughter sat on the outside and she got a little more wet than me. You drive around the lake and they give you some history. Every few minutes he says hold on and he gives you a moment to get ready and then you go on a fun spin. It was good but I was expecting more I guess. It's very safe and you don't even have to wear life jackets.

We decided to try this jet boat after seeing it on Lake Taneycomo. It was AWESOME! A great way to see the Lake and sights along the Lake and what a fun trip with the Captain! It was hot and the water sprays were great! Well worth it!

FUN FUN FUN!!!! Had a blast doing this. They take around 40 people on this jet boat and fly down Lake Taneycomo, making "donuts " in the water and getting people wet. The pilot and mate were great, pointing out landmarks and wildlife.

This isn’t one of those adventures that leaves you dripping wet, but you will get cooled off by splashing water - and Taneycomo is a cold water lake, which means a hot day can quickly become surprisingly refreshing!

The general operating schedule runs from May through October.

Important things to know about Branson Jet Boats :

Arrive approximately thirty (30) minutes prior to your adventure time.

The average Branson Jet Boats ’ tour takes about one (1) hour.

Wear casual, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing that can get damp or wet - although Taneycomo is a cold water lake, shorts and t-shirts are still good for warmer weather - a jacket is suggested for cooler weather.

Branson Jet Boat rides are recommended for children at least three (3) years-of-age and older.  Children twelve (12) years-of-age and under cannot sit in outside rows.

Guests in the first row of the boat must be at least 48 inches tall.

All guests under the age of seven (7) are required to wear a personal flotation device that will be provided.

If you desire some protection from the water, you can purchase a rain poncho at the Branson Jet Boats ’ kiosk at the Landing.  (You can also purchase sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and towels.)

Cameras and cell phones are allowed on the boat, but can easily get wet - keep them in a waterproof case or covering.  (Cell phone cases are available for purchase at the kiosk.)

If needed, use the restroom prior to boarding the boat - there are no restroom breaks or facilities during your lake adventure.

Due to the nature of the Branson Jet Boat ride, service animals nor any other animal can be taken on the boat; this is important for the safety of all guests and your pet.

Branson Jet Boat rides are a blast, but they might not be suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, neck or back problems, or high blood pressure, and guests who are pregnant or have recently had surgery, as well as any other medical condition that may be adversely affected by the ride.  Guests with disabilities are welcome as long as they can manage transfer to and from the vessel, including with assistance from a member of their party. This includes any guest who uses a mobility device, such as a wheelchair or walker.

All guests must read and sign the adventure agreement provided by Branson Jet Boats prior to boarding the vessel.
