This was the best guided tour by far. Amaudi and Louis were great. Very informative and incredible fun through and through. This is a must do tour with these guys. Amazing planning and on time as well.

Me and my boyfriend wanted to try and go on a tour of El Yunque and we picked Island Journeys to give us a tour of Puerto Rico’s rain forest. It was a great experience and they thought of everything for you, they picked us up from the hotel, provided snacks and our tour guides, Maxine and Luis, really knew their way around. They were patient, fun, and very helpful. When exploring El Yunque I think a guided tour is the best way to go!

Great company. We loved the tour. We did combined tour of rainforest/waterfall and bio bay. Our tour guide - Amori and Jaanu were fantastic. Waterfall slide and jumping off the cliff was fun. Highly recommend the tour.

Island Journeys is awesome! My husband and I did the rainforest and bio bay tour and it was an awesome experience! It's a long day (but very fun) and absolutely worth it! Our tour guides Paola and Luis were wonderful, very knowledgeable and informative. We had a great time and would do it again

I had no idea what to expect when my wife and I booked an excursion with Island Journeys in El Yunque. What we experienced was far beyond anything I could have hoped and I will have these memories far longer than when my mind begins to fade. The guides were very knowledgeable on the rainforest along with the flora and fauna that can be found within. They were patient with their instruction, as well. Now let's talk about the water portion! The fresh cold water straight from the mountain felt refreshing and rejuvenating! Every natural slide we went down and every cliff we jumped off of gave us an exhilarating sense of life and joy. This company and their guides love Puerto Rico and after you book your expedition, you too will fall in love with Puerto Rico. I know I did! I can't wait to go back!

Amazing trip. The fruit was delicious. The rainforest was super fun. The cliff jump and rope swing are really thrilling and the guides were amazing and accommodating. We forgot our wallet on the bus and they were gracious enough to find it for us on their day off too.

Absolutely amazing experience! My hubby and I did this tour for our honeymoon and it was so worth it. Our guides Rene and Natalia were so awesome! They both were very interactive, talked about the history of PR and plants and animals in the rainforest. And took many pictures for us. We recommend this tour to everyone! Thank you for an amazing adventure!

We had a great time on the tour and our guides were a blast and very friendly. We did the day excursion with transportation from where we stayed, stopping for fresh fruit for a snack on our hike, hiking in the rainforest, dinner and kayaking. Everything was well planned and the food was excellent.

Easy pick up from San Juan, great guides. Appreciated the safety while still having unique rainforest experience.

Meet the Owners

El Yunque Tours owners and founders are a husband and wife team that for the last sixteen years have worked together, pushing daily to bring a professional, quality standard to our guests and clients, and working toward our goal of a fun, safe, memorable experience every time! We work to become known for our concern for the environment and implementation of laws that will help protect it. Michael S. Grasso Jr. President & CEO is a key player on the team because of his ability to develop, create and bring to life all points of Field Operations. Creating and building all tours from the paper to legally operating adventures, he has earned the nickname of “Drill Sergeant” for his unwillingness to overlook the smallest of details. Nilsa Montanez, our Secretary and Treasurer and the heart of the business is the office administrator. She oversees all office-related matters and keeps the day to day operations in line along with one of the most important tasks of keeping bookings and reservations organized and timely. At the end of the day, our most important asset is our guests and that we have met our promise to give them a “fun, safe, memorable experience every time!” We are proud to promote Puerto Rico and its natural and cultural wonders! As the owners we are but only a small part of the El Yunque Tours team; our guides are the true front line of our tours.
