Dates & Times

The long goodbye final tour with special guest steely dan – second show added: january 20, 2024.

Due to overwhelming demand, The Eagles have announced a second show in Phoenix for January 20, 2024 for their Long Goodbye Final Tour with special guest Steely Dan . Tickets for the January 20th date will go on sale to the public on Friday, November 10 at 10am.

“The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle. The official farewell tour is currently in the planning stages. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round. So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

With love and gratitude,

PHOENIX – The Eagles are saying goodbye to the road after more than 50 years of touring, but not without visiting Phoenix for two more shows early next year.

The legendary Southern California band’s “The Long Goodbye Final Tour” will stop at Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix on Jan. 19-20, 2024, with fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Steely Dan along as special guests.

After tickets to the first show sold like hotcakes when they went on sale to the general public Friday morning, the band announced the second show.

Presales for the added show start Wednesday, with tickets going on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. next Friday (Nov. 10).

When The Eagles first revealed plans for their farewell tour in July, they said the shows would be announced as they are confirmed.

“We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle,” the band said in a statement at the time.

The Eagles are one of most popular musical acts ever, selling more than 150 million albums worldwide since forming in 1971.

They reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart six times, including with the classics “Hotel California” and “The Long Run.” “Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975” is one of the top-selling albums in history.

How long will The Eagles’ farewell tour last?

The Eagles’ farewell tour, which kicked off in September, is expected to continue into 2025 and could include returns to certain cities depending on demand and venue availability.

Don Henley is the only founding member still performing with the band. The current roster also includes longtime members Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit. Country star Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, the son of late founding member Glenn Frey, round out the touring lineup.

The Eagles came through Phoenix earlier this year, when their long-running “Hotel California Tour” stopped at Footprint Center in March.

The Eagles extend farewell tour with Steely Dan again. Get tickets now

Posted: November 8, 2023 | Last updated: November 8, 2023

Looks like there will be a few more “Tequila Sunrises” next year.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Eagles just announced an additional 12 concerts as part of their sprawling, multi-year farewell ‘The Long Goodbye Tour’ with special guest Steely Dan .

Newly announced concerts will take place from January through March in major markets like Phoenix (Jan. 19-20), Omaha (Feb. 10), New Orleans (Feb. 17), Orlando (March 4) and Chicago (March 8-9).

“This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on,” said the band in a statement.

While no end date for the farewell tour is in sight, the band has suggested they will play their final ‘Long Goodbye’ concert sometime in 2025.

Want to snatch up tickets to see Don Henley, Joe Walsh and co. play the hits live in early 2024?

As of today, you can grab them for all announced shows as of today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster for the newest concerts until Friday, Nov. 17, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets for all shows ( newly announced concerts are in bold ) can be found below.

According to  Variety , The Eagles’ live show “easily competes with the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé for tour of the year.”

For more about Deacon Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Vince Gill and what covers the band worked into their debut farewell concert at MSG back in September 2023, you can read their thorough review  here .

When you’ve been living life in the fast lane since 1971 (!), a bit of shuffling when it comes to your group’s lineup is to be expected.

Still, to this day, 75-year-old, founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known for the ’80s smash “Boys of Summer), continues to tour with the group.

On the road, he’ll be joined by 75-year-old Joe Walsh (also of the James Gang), 75-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and vocalist, played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner 65-year-old Vince Gill and the late Glenn Frey’s 30-year-old son Deacon.

Over the course of their illustrious career, the band has racked up six Grammy awards, performed over 1000 concerts and sold 150 million albums.

Now that The Eagles have returned to the road, we’ve got a better idea of what they’re playing live this time around.

Based on our findings at  Set List FM , here’s what you’ll likely hear from the band when they come to a venue near you.

01.) “Seven Bridges Road” (Steve Young cover)

02.) “Take It Easy”

03.) “One of These Nights”

04.) “New Kid in Town”

05.) “Take It to the Limit”

06.) “Best of My Love”

07.) “Witchy Woman”

08.) “Peaceful Easy Feeling” (Jack Tempchin cover)

09.) “Tequila Sunrise”

10.) “In the City” (Joe Walsh song)

11.) “I Can’t Tell You Why”

12.) “Lyin’ Eyes”

13.) “Life’s Been Good” (Joe Walsh song)

14.) “Already Gone” (Jack Tempchin cover)

15.) “The Boys of Summer” (Don Henley song)

16.) “Funk #49” (James Gang cover)

17.) “Life in the Fast Lane”

18.) “Heartache Tonight”

19.) “Rocky Mountain Way” (Joe Walsh song)

20.) “Desperado”

21.) “Hotel California”

Most recently, jazzy rockers Steely Dan toured all over North America in summer 2022 as part of their ‘Earth After Hours Tour.’

These days, the band is led by Donald Fagen; his co-founder Walter Becker passed away in 2017.

If you want to catch up on the band’s hits (we know you do), you can hear “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” “Hey 19,” “Kid Charlemagne,” “Do It Again,” “Reelin’ In The Years” and so many more  right here, right now .

Many of the biggest acts that defined the sound of the ’70s and ’80s are back on the road this year for another spin.

Here are just five of our favorite classic rockers you won’t want to miss live these next few months.

•  Billy Joel with Stevie Nicks

•  Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

•  Bob Dylan

•  Grand Funk Railroad

•  Peter Frampton

In the fall of 1971, the Eagles pioneered a musical style blending country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop, and would go on to become one of the most successful bands of all time.

Eagles Extend ‘Long Goodbye’ Farewell Tour with Additional Dates | Society Of Rock Videos

via FOX59 News / YouTube

Eagles fans have reason to celebrate as the iconic band extends their “Long Goodbye” farewell tour with six new dates spanning North America. The announcement of these additional shows comes after the band’s recent updates to their tour itinerary. The new dates include performances in Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, and Hollywood, Florida, extending the tour into 2024. These concerts, starting from February 2 and concluding on March 13, promise unforgettable musical experiences for fans across the continent.

This news follows the band’s previous announcement of four Los Angeles shows in January, showcasing their dedication to providing fans with ample opportunities to catch their live performances.

Throughout their remarkable 52-year journey, the Eagles have graced stages worldwide, keeping their music alive despite facing various challenges. In a heartfelt statement, the band expressed gratitude to their fans, their management team, dedicated road crew, and backup musicians, acknowledging the unwavering support that allowed them to continue for over five decades.

“The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds,” the band expressed. “Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle.”

For what may be the beginning of the end, the Eagles have confirmed several dates for their upcoming Farewell I tour. Although no explanation for the trek’s moniker has been announced, seven shows scattered from May through July have, with tickets already available to members of the veteran Southern California rock band’s new official fan club. The first announced show will take place May 16 in Sunrise, Fla. Also confirmed are performances in Atlanta; San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas, Texas; Philadelphia, and Boston. The tour will feature the core band as a four-piece consisting of singer/drummer Don Henley, singer/guitarist Glen Frey , guitarist Joe Walsh, and bassist Timothy B. Schmit. As previously reported, the tour is expected to hit 40 cities through the summer and another 40 in the fall. A new album is due out in the fall on a new band-owned independent label. Fans who opt to pay the $60 annual membership fee for the group’s Yahoo!-affiliated official fan club ( eagles.yahoo.com ), have first crack at tickets to the initial dates. Tickets go on sale March 10 to the general public; prices range from $40 to $47 for the cheapest seats, and around $177 for the most expensive. Along with advance ticket opportunities, fan club members will also have access to exclusive audio and video content, tour diaries, backstage photo galleries, and fan message boards and chat functionality. After disbanding in the early 1980s, the Eagles were inactive for more than a decade before Henley, Frey, Walsh, Schmit, and guitarist Don Felder reunited in 1994 for an MTV acoustic concert special dubbed “Hell Freezes Over.” A similarly titled tour followed, as did an album that featured some newly recorded studio material and live renditions of classic songs from the special. The Geffen album debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 7.7 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Felder last performed with the band during a trio of millennium concerts in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. He was ousted from the band in 2001 and later filed suit against Henley and Frey for wrongful termination. The four-piece Eagles toured mid-size and smaller North American cities last year, grossing nearly $35 million from 31 sold-out shows. Here are the Eagles’ confirmed tour dates: May 16: Sunrise, Fla. (Office Depot Center) May 19: Atlanta (Philips Arena) June 9: San Antonio, Texas (SBC Center) June 16: Houston (Compaq Center) June 19-20: Dallas (American Airlines Center) July 7: Philadelphia (First Union Center) July 15-16: Boston (FleetCenter)
