Is the Eras Tour coming to a Disney Cruise? What to know about Taylor Swift cruise
Editor's note: Story was edited to clarify this is a fan-led event, the "Getaway Cruise" has no affiliation with the Disney Cruise Line.
Ahoy, Swifties! If you were unable to attend the Eras Tour in Tampa or didn't grab tickets for the new Miami dates , you're in luck .
The “Getaway Cruise” is a fan-led Taylor Swift-themed event aboard that is set to launch from Florida next September.
The cruise will head for the Bahamas and Disney's private island from Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 to Monday, Sept. 8, 2025. Believe Vacations travel agents Kim Haig and Kira Ashline will be hosting the enchanted event.
"The Getaway Cruise was born when Kim’s daughter Grace said 'Mama, I wish there was a Disney Cruise for Swifties' … and here we are," the website shares. "This cruise is for all fans, so bring your besties, your kiddos, your parents, your neighbor, you name it! If you need a roommate let us know and we can help you find one."
Will Taylor Swift also be on the cruise?
Unfortunately, there will not be any appearances from the popstar.
Believe Vacations notes on its website that they have no affiliation with Taylor Swift or Taylor Alison Swift Rights Management.
What does the Taylor Swift-themed cruise schedule look like?
The cruise is a 3-night cruise to the Bahamas, sailing out of Port Canaveral on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025. The itinerary for voyage looks like:
- Day 1 - Port Canaveral, FL
- Day 2 - Nassau, Bahamas
- Day 3 - Disney Castaway Cay
- Day 4 - Port Canaveral, FL
Believe Vacations note the event will take place during the Disney Cruise Line's " Halloween on the High Seas " sailing, which includes exclusive entertainment and deck parties, character costumes and meet and greets, themed food and beverages, trick or treating and costume nights for spooky season.
What activities will be available on the Taylor Swift-themed cruise?
It won't be a cruel summer while on the cruise. Haig shared what planned for those on board the Swift-themed ship:
- Exclusive Welcome Gift
- Private Reception (with open standard bar)
- Disney and Taylor Inspired Theme Nights
- Friendship Bracelet Trading
- Costume Contest
- Scavenger Hunt
- Taylor Trivia
- Door Decorating Contest
- Group Exclusive Fish Extender Exchange (a gift exchange that's a Disney Cruise Line "tradition" of sorts)
What’s included in the ticket price?
According to the organizers, the cruise fare includes:
- Variety of Dining Options
- Soft drinks, coffee, tea and juices
It also includes the exclusive Taylor Swift activities for fans.
Here's how to book the Taylor Swift cruise on Disney Wish
You won't have to deal with Ticketmaster this time. According to Believe Vacations officials, guests can book rooms for the "Getaway Cruise” directly on their website .
What documents do I need to board?
The website says that a passport is the best ID document for travel. If using a passport it cannot expire within six months of sailing.
U.S. Citizens can also cruise with a birth certificate on most sailings from the U.S. All birth certificates must follow Disney Cruise Line’s requirements as outlined on its website .
Where will the Taylor Swift-themed event take place?
Get ready to watch the sun go down on the Disney Wish in the water.
The Disney Wish is Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, first setting sail in summer of 2022. According to the website, some of the experiences on the 15-deck cruise include Marvel-themed dining, immersive water slides, Broadway-style show, character meet-and-greets and an adult-only Hyperspace lounge.
Are there other Taylor Swift-themed cruises this year?
Of course there are! The “ In My Cruise Era … ” is set to launch from Port of Miami in October.
The cruise, on the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, leaves for the Bahamas the day after Swift's final show of her three-day stop in Miami. According to the website, the cruise fare includes stateroom accommodations, dinner in the main dining room nightly as well as additional buffet and a la carte options around the ship. It also includes entertainment.
The website does note that all 199 staterooms are currently booked and its waitlist is now closed, but officials said that those who previously joined the waitlist should "keep an eye on your email, we will offer spots in our group to members of our waitlist in the order inquiries were received."

The deal with OLC, which owns and operates Tokyo Disney Resort, calls for a sister ship to Disney Wish to be constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany for sailing expected to begin in early 2029.
While technically the yet-to-be-named ship will be the ninth vessel in the DCL fleet, it’s OLC that has entered into the construction contract, and will operate the vessel under a licensing agreement with Disney.
It would be the fourth Wish-class ship for the DCL fleet following 2022’s Wish, this year’s Disney Treasure and next year’s Disney Destiny. Wish will be joined by Treasure later this year with both sailing out of Port Canaveral while Destiny’s home port has yet to be announced.
New cruise ship Disney Treasure gets 1st taste of water
Disney is also set to welcome in 2025 the Disney Adventure, which is headed to Singapore.
The Japan deal expands on a relationship between Disney and OLC that is more than 40 years old. Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 and OLC also operates the ocean-themed Tokyo DisneySea, which opened in 2001. Both theme parks falling within Tokyo Disney Resort, which has like Walt Disney World has its own monorail, entertainment and dining complex and hotels.
“Disney Cruise Line has ambitious plans to bring family vacations and Disney storytelling to more guests around the world than ever before,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, in a press release. “We are thrilled to continue the success of this expansion as we collaborate with Oriental Land Co. to introduce another distinctly Disney vacation experience to families and fans in Japan.”
The ship will be operated by OLC and be registered in Japan.
The Wish class are slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Fantasy with about 1,250 staterooms and a 4,000-guest capacity including children. The release noted the ship will feature many guest-favorite venues and experiences that can be found on Disney Wish “with select modifications specially designed with Japanese guests in mind.”
Disney Wish features the AquaMouse water coaster that is part dark ride, part tube run, a Marvel-themed restaurant and dinner theater venue themed to “Frozen.”
“I am sincerely proud that Disney and Oriental Land will be able to work together to create a world-class cruise business in Japan,” said Yumiko Takano, representative director, chairperson and CEO, Oriental Land. “Oriental Land will use their knowhow from the theme park business to continue pushing boundaries and provide family entertainment cruise experiences filled with inspiration and surprise.”
Disney’s first ship Disney Magic debuted in 1998 followed by sister ship Disney Wonder in 1999. Dream and Fantasy doubled the fleet with their debuts in 2011 and 2012 before the recent rapid expansion to double the fleet again with four new ships from 2022-2025.
The line also created a second Florida year-round home port taking over a cruise terminal at Port Everglades and this summer debuted its new Bahamas private destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story reported DCL had ordered the ship construction. OLC ordered it.

Disney Cruise Line Modifies 11-Night Norwegian Fjords And Iceland Cruise: Kirkwall, Scotland to Replace Faroe Islands
Disney Cruise Line is modifying their 11-Night Copenhagen to England repositioning cruise embarking on June 29, 2015 aboard the Disney Magic to include a call on Kirkwall, Scotland rather than Torshavn, Faroe Islands. There was no reason provided in the email as to why the Disney Magic will no longer visit the Faroe Islands. I have my suspicions as to the reason, but DCL would not elaborate when asked why the decision was made to change the port of call. However, the email sent to travel agents did express DCL’s excitement that they will be able to provide guests with a premier family experience and the opportunity to visit both of the countries that recently inspired the blockbuster hit, Frozen and Disney•Pixar’s Brave.
The itinerary will remain the same with day 10 changing from Torshavn, Foroe Islands to Kirkwall, Scotland.

Thank you for selecting a Disney Cruise Line vacation for your clients. We’re glad that they are sailing with us in the summer of 2015. In order to provide them with a premier family experience, we have modified our 11-night Copenhagen to England repositioning cruise to include a call on Kirkwall, Scotland, instead of the call on Torshavn, Faroe Islands. We’re excited to provide our Guests with this revised sailing itinerary that offers the opportunity to visit both of the countries that inspired the recent blockbuster hit, Frozen from Disney Animation Studios and Brave from Pixar Animation Studios. Your assistance in passing this information along to your client is appreciated. Kirkwall, located off the Northern coast of Scotland in the Orkney Islands, offers many fascinating historic attractions, adventure tours, and bountiful wildlife. We are confident that this revised itinerary featuring a call on the popular port of Kirkwall will allow for an exception Guest experience. Our Port Adventures team is currently planning a vast range of excursions ashore that we are certain everyone will enjoy. Your client can visit My Cruise Plans at www.disneycruise.com early next year for a full listing of available excursion options. Again, thank you for selecting a Disney cruise for your clients. We are looking forward to providing them with an excellent cruise experience. Sincerely, The Cast and Crew Disney Cruise Line

14 Replies to “Disney Cruise Line Modifies 11-Night Norwegian Fjords And Iceland Cruise: Kirkwall, Scotland to Replace Faroe Islands”
Glad I didn’t pick this cruise. I would have been disappointed. Scotland is much more accessible, either through other cruise lines or through land tours. Faroe Islands are a bit more unique, sort of a bummer to lose that.
Apparently you support the needless slaughter of beautiful whales.
How so Anthony?
The Faroe Islands are notorious for slaughtering whales every year in July. Anyone who is upset about not going there supports the needless suffering and slaughter of beautiful, intelligent, and feeing animals.
:)) Good, another armchair critic wo knows nothing about Faroes but feels the need to criticise them.
I didn’t know that if I travel to UK I support the bager cull or fox hunts. I didn’t know that if I travel to Iceland, Japan or Norway, I support the whaling there. I didn’t know that if travel to Spain, I support the bullfighting and so on.
This is BS at it’s best. Covering our eyes when an animal is killed, it should be done behind the walls so the sensitive us to feel better and superior towards the countries that do not make a secret of how animals that are eaten, are actually killed.
PS. As a matter of fact, there is no periodicity, there is no “every year in July”.
Wow, inside staterooms start at $7,200 and go to $10,200. That’s a lot of money. And the Concierge tab is already booked up, double wow! Would love to do something like this but would never be able to with those kind of prices.
Know what you mean, just been in the Cunard site and have concluded that somebody at DCL has gone insane! All the Queens are newer than dear old Magic too.
We booked on opening day, and the prices were MUCH MUCH cheaper then. Tons of people booked and prices skyrocketed. All 4 of us in a porthole room cost $7,874 (with the 10% onboard rebooking discount) . . . much better than current pricing.
Scott I did not see it on there website
Faroe Islands have a bad history with Whaling, and i know that many people I’ve spoke to refused to do this cruise because of this. All you have to do is search Faroe Islands in google images and the first image will illustrate exactly what I mean!
Unfortunately you state the same silly stereotypes as people who have no clue about these islands. And by the way, it is the settings of the searching engine who push up the wrong images when you look for something. Intelligent people are capable to skim through and NOT to judge a place or a nation according to one aspect.
Everyone is guilty but not the people of the Färöer Islands. Accept that the civilised world will never accept your sadistic behaviour. And, by the way, tell us some new arguments, because yours we heard thousend of times in the last weeks.
To anyone complaining about this cruise not going to the Faroe Islands, do you really believe kids and their families who are on a Disney cruise want to see that bloodbath? Whether you agree with the practice or not, it’s ridiculous to think that sight would be appropriate for a family vacation. Disney made a smart move.
Out of curiosity, how often do you believe something like that happens in Torshavn, where these cruise liners usually stop?
It is not only Disney who blows it out of any proportion, it is also people like you who like to exaggerate and make it more than it actually is.
PS. You do realise that they could also witness how whales are killed in Norway or Iceland also, don’t you?! Or you are not even aware those countries do that too?
