Borderlands 3 fast travel bug - is there a fix if you can't fast travel to your vehicle.

Borderlands 3 is out now, and it offers a vast play area over multiple planets - not just the huge waste of Pandora! Consequently, if you want to get around with any convenience, you'll probably be using fast travel a lot. Unfortunately, as of right now there are some problems with the service. If you get hit by the Borderlands 3 Fast Travel bug , what can you do?

There are a few potential bugs with Fast Travel, although Gearbox is already aware of at least one. The main Fast Travel bug actually involves the game's vehicles. Is there a fix for this? Let's have a look.

Is there a fix for the Borderlands 3 Fast Travel bug with vehicles?

The first issue involving Borderlands 3 Fast Travel occurs right at the start of the game, if you're not careful. As soon as you get access to Fast Travel, you'll get an ECHOcast from Lilith. Whatever you do, do not Fast Travel while the ECHOcast is going on! It'll break the event and you may have to restart. So, just wait until it's over. Easy fix.

There's also an issue regarding your Fast Travel points not carrying over in some multiplayer lobbies. Usually when this happens, it's because the lobby host hasn't unlocked those Fast Travel points. Also easy, if not a fix.

Less easy to fix is the Borderlands 3 Fast Travel bug involving the game's vehicles. Normally, while there are set Fast Travel points around the map, you should also be able to Fast Travel to your vehicle too. Sometimes, however, you simply can't - for no real reason, you just won't get the option on the map. It's deeply annoying.

There are a couple of possible fixes being passed around. The first is not selecting from the Fast Travel list on the map - find the vehicle and hold 'E' (or 'Use') on the vehicle itself. Alternatively, and this is the slightly weirder one - plug in a gamepad and use that to Fast Travel to the vehicle, and then unplug the pad again. This seems to be a PC controls-specific bug, so using a gamepad fixes it.

Hopefully Gearbox will patch in a more permanent solution, but for now give these fixes a go and see if they help!

Learn how to fast travel from one waypoint to another in Borderlands 3.

Borderlands 3 is finally here and it’s time to strap in and take off on the wildest ride of the year. If you’re planning on exploring Pandora and the slew of other planets out there, then you’re going to need all the help you can get. Fast traveling is one easy way to get around the world and this guide will go in to detail on everything you need to know to fast travel in Borderlands 3.

If you’ve played any previous Borderlands games, then learning how to fast travel in Borderlands 3 is going to be as easy as shooting up a nest of bandits with a rocket launcher. That’s to say, it’s going to be extremely easy. First, you’re going to need to find and visit one of the many fast travel stations situated all around the world. There are quite a few on Pandora, which is where you’ll spend a good deal of the game’s opening moments. In case you’ve forgotten what they look like, we took a picture and included it below.

Now that you know what you’re looking for, get out there and start exploring. These fast travel stations are all around the world and they won’t take much more than a quick sidestep or two nearby to activate them. What’s more, is you can fast travel to these points at any time by pulling up the map and select them from an easy to access drop down menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Handy, right?

On top of being able to fast travel to the various stations around the map, you can also fast travel right to your vehicle at any time, so long as you’ve spawned one at a Catch-a-Ride. To fast travel to your vehicle, locate it on the map, and then select it as your fast travel point. You’ll teleport with to it, making it easy to get around the map rather quickly.

Borderlands 3 , the long awaited third numbered entry in Gearbox’s loot shooter series, is finally here. The world is more varied and packed than ever before, so you’ll want to get around it as quickly as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about how to fast travel in Borderlands 3 .

As you would have seen in the trailers, Borderlands 3 feature a huge map full of dramatically different locations. While you can, of course, make your way around on foot, fast traveling is easier.

How to Fast Travel in Borderlands 3

You won’t be able to fast travel everywhere from the start of the game. Not only do new areas of the map open up gradually as you make your way through the main quest, but you actually have to visit fast travel points to unlock them.

They’re easy to find, being shown by a little planet symbol on your map, but you’ll have to go to them in person to activate them. Once you’ve done so once, you’ll be able to fast travel between them as and when you like.

To check out what’s nearby and where you can travel to, you can open up your Borderlands 3 zone map by pressing the Options button if you’re on PlayStation 4 (Menu button if you’re on Xbox One).

From that map, you can select any station that you’ve previously visited and choose to fast travel there.

You have to have visited stations once before you can fast travel to them.

Borderlands 3 features a totally new fast travel system which allows players to quickly move between places via their map and Fast Travel terminals. To show you more about this new system, here’s how to fast travel in Borderlands 3 .

Fast Travel via Map

A new addition to Borderlands 3 is the ability to fast travel using your map. This fast travel allows Fast Travel points you’ve visited through your map. Simply hover over the Fast Travel terminal you wish to zip to and hold the button down. You will quickly travel to that location.

Another Fast Travel point you can use on your map is your vehicle. Like Fast Travel points you can highlight your Vehicle on your map and hold down Fast Travel to quickly zip to it. This is nice if you head into a large dungeon and want to quickly get back to the exit.

Fast Travel via Fast Travel Station

While the Fast Travel via the map is already blowing my mind, things get even stranger when you access a Fast Travel terminal. All the function of the previous games are still there, but you can now get two new views: Orbit and Galaxy.

Orbit Fast Travel

As the name suggests you get an orbiting view of the planet you are currently on. From this view you can select different zones of the planet to fast travel to if you’ve visited them once before. This allows you to quickly transition between zones on a planet. Instead of having to drive all across them like we used to have to.

Galaxy Fast Travel

If Fast Travelling around a planet doesn’t interest you, how about Fast Travelling through a Galaxy? That’s right Borderlands has gone full Mass Effect . Above the Orbit view is a view called Galaxy. In this view you can see the galaxy and all the planets you’ve visited in it. From the Galaxy view you can access the Orbit view of another planet and fast travel to it.

The orbit and galaxy view don’t work on the epic version on pc. it is no longer possible to use fast travel once you’re on the sanctuary. only the first standard option remain. for the rest, you have to manually go to the pod of the sanctuary to land on the planet, and you can’t fast travel to other area of the planet either.

• How To Fast Travel

You Can Use Fast Travel Anywhere (Almost)

Fast Travel in Borderlands 3 is free and can be done anywhere. Do this by just opening the Echo menu and choosing where you want to Fast Travel to and you're good to go. However, you cannot Fast Travel when riding a vehicle .

Fast Travel To Your Vehicle

You can also use Fast Travel to instantly teleport to your vehicle. You can do this by opening the ECHO menu and selecting your vehicle, then Fast Traveling to it as you would with a location. You'll then be instantly inside your vehicle and ready to drive.

Can Only Go To Fast Travel Stations

You can only go to places with unlocked Fast Travel Stations. From there, you can either walk or Digistruct a vehicle to go to your destination. Also worth noting is that you cannot fast travel to New-U Stations (in-game checkpoints).

One-Way Fast Travel Stations

Fast Travel Station encountered after boss fights are one-way stations, meaning that you cannot Fast Travel to them . Using them works the same way as using Fast Travel in your ECHO menu.

You Can Fast Travel During Combat

Even in combat, you can still fast travel by opening the ECHO menu. Use this to regroup and get out of unfavorable situations. Note that this is a one-way trip and you might have to manually trek back to your previous location.

Borderlands 3: How To Fast Travel

As games grow larger in scale, methods of travel are a very important part of gameplay design. This is usually handled with fast travel, allowing players to instantly teleport from one area to another that they have visited in the past. Borderlands 3 uses this as well and this guide will explain how you can do just that.

Borderlands 3 is split into different areas known as Zones, each of which have different maps and places to explore. Within each of these, you can utilize fast travel, but it is limited to places you have visited thus far.

As you’re making your way through Borderlands 3, you’ll find Fast Travel Stations that you can open for maps, which unlocks a new fast travel location for you to select from. After finding some of these, the way to travel between them is rather easy.

First of all, press the menu button on Xbox One to open the menu system and use the bumper buttons to scroll over to Map option. From here, you can move the cursor until you are on top of a Fast Travel Station, or you can go through the list itself.

Once you have a location highlighted, hold down A and it will warp you to this previously visited location in time no time.

Borderlands 3 is huge and you will do your share of traveling far distances after all this is the third installment in the series and the developers have delivered a huge world to explore but often times you will want to skip the traveling and get to a place quickly. This guide will show you how to fast travel in Borderlands 3.

Fast travel though available doesn’t work when you start the game, you will have to explore a bit by yourself and progress through the main storyline but along the way, you will find fast travel points to unlock.

Look for the little planet icon on the map, these are the fast travel points which you will have to personally activate in order to use them, once you have unlocked them though you will be able to fast travel to places as and when you like.

Press the options/menu button on the console to bring up the Borderlands 3 zone map and from there on you can select the station you wish to fast travel to.

How to Fast Travel in Borderlands 3

Running, or driving, everywhere in borderlands 3 is a good way to familiarise yourself with the game’s map and find more loot, but sometimes you just want to get somewhere in an instant..

For that reason, you’ll be glad to hear that Borderlands 3 has a fast travel system.

As you explore each location in Borderlands 3 you’ll discover fast travel points. They’re usually near vending machines and Catch-A-Ride stations, and are visible on your map as a small planet with a big flag sticking out of it.

The good news is that you no longer need visit a fast travel point to actually fast travel. You can simply open up your map at any time, place your cursor over a fast travel point and select it to go there right away.

If you’re playing with a friend, it’s useful to know that you can also fast travel to vehicles, too. So, if you die and get respawned a fair distance from them, warp to their vehicle if they have one to save you some legwork.
