Seats marked with “Limited View” during purchase path
Andrew Johnson Theater

Many shows impose ticket limits to allow as many people as possible to have equal access to seats. This is done as a deterrent to third party vendors, i.e. scalpers, who may purchase large blocks of seats and then resell them online at an inflated cost. The term “household” refers to any shared information on one or more accounts. This includes, but may not be limited to matching names, mailing and billing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and credit card numbers. Any households that purchase more than the allowed number of tickets may have their order(s) refunded without notice.

The tour follows on the heels of the chart-topping success of THE COLLECTION II, the box set released October 6 featuring newly remastered versions of the four consecutive #1 albums released during the Hagar era of Van Halen: 5150 (1986), OU812 (1988), FOR UNLAWFUL CARNAL KNOWLEDGE (1991), and BALANCE (1995). A reminder to fans of the arsenal of hits, many which haven’t been played live since the band’s 2004 reunion tour. Collectively, Anthony, Satriani and Bonham have played together in nearly every phase of Hagar’s career including Van Halen, Chickenfoot and The Circle, so fans can expect a setlist which draws from some of the biggest rock anthems of the last 4-decades, including, Finish What Ya Started, 5150, Your Love is Driving Me Crazy, Best of Both Worlds, Poundcake, Sexy Little Thing, One Way To Rock, Right Now, Good Enough, Eagles Fly and more. They’ve also enlisted legendary Australian musician, Rai Thistlethwayte on keyboard and backing vocals. The tour represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see this band of brothers deliver one of the most legendary hits-packed live shows of their career.
“It’s crazy to think that it’ll be 20 years since Mikey and I played these songs with Van Halen on the 04’ Best of Both Worlds Tour,” said Hagar. “With Joe on board, we can take a deeper dive into those years. We’re going to touch on some hits from my entire career but seeing fans old and new really embrace the new collection set off something in Mikey and I. We were at my Birthday Bash in Cabo for my 76 th and looked at each other and high fived, like ‘let’s do it.’ We pulled out a couple of them and it was an instant lovefest with the fans from our first riffs. The music we created is going to outlive us all. They deserve to be heard so it’s time we go out and serve the fans that music, while we still can.”

About Loverboy:
For more than 40 years, Loverboy has been “Working for the Weekend” (and on the weekend), delighting audiences around the world since forming in 1979, when vocalist Mike Reno was introduced to guitar hot shot Paul Dean – both veterans of several bands on the Canadian scene – at Calgary’s Refinery Night Club. Along with Reno and Dean, Loverboy still includes original members Doug Johnson on keyboards and Matt Frenette on drums, with Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve replacing the late Scott Smith on bass.
With their trademark red leather pants, bandannas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, Loverboy has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques, including the four-million-selling GET LUCKY, and a trio of double-Platinum releases in their self-titled 1980 debut, 1983’s KEEP IT UP and 1985’s LOVIN’ EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Their string of hits includes, in addition to the anthem “Working for the Weekend,” such arena rock staples as “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “This Could Be the Night,” “Hot Girls in Love,” “The Kid is Hot Tonite,” “Notorious”, “Turn Me Loose,” “When It’s Over,” “Heaven In Your Eyes” and “Queen of the Broken Hearts.” In September of this year, the group was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in Toronto, ON.
About Sammy Hagar:
For more than four decades, Sammy Hagar has been recognized as one of the best and most accomplished lead singers and songwriters in rock music. From breaking into the industry with the seminal hard rock band Montrose, to his multi-platinum solo career, to his ride as the frontman of Van Halen, Chickenfoot and his latest best-selling supergroup, The Circle, Hagar has amassed 25 Platinum albums on sales surpassing 50 million worldwide. Along his journey, he has set the tone for some of the greatest rock anthems ever written with songs like “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Right Now,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love,” and earned the highest respect of the music industry with a Grammy Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since opening his flagship Cabo Wabo Cantina in 1990, he’s turned a lifelong passion for great food, music and spirits into a thriving and iconic lifestyle brand encompassing restaurants and spirits. A pioneer in the spirits industry, he launched Cabo Wabo Tequila in 1996 and catapulted it into the #2-selling premium tequila brand in the United States. In 2010, Hagar sold his interests in Cabo Wabo Tequila to Gruppo Campari in a 9-figure deal that’s widely credited as the start of the celebrity-owned spirits trend. He now owns an award-winning portfolio of top-shelf spirits and beer that embody that same spirit of Baja beach life and rock ‘n’ roll. They include Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, a partnership with rock icon Rick Springfield, Santo Spirits, a partnership with tastemaker Guy Fieri, Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. and Red Rocker Brewing Co. Never one to hit the brakes, Sammy’s also expanded his successes into publishing, TV, radio and beyond, including five seasons of his hit TV show “Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar” and as host of “Sammy Hagar’s Top Rock Countdown,” a weekly syndicated radio show on 90+ US stations. He’s a #1 NYT bestselling author and his cocktail book, “Sammy Hagar’s Greatest Cocktail Hits,” was awarded the 2023 Independent Publisher Book Awards. He’s also a dedicated philanthropist, donating millions back to local communities through his private non-profit Hagar Family Foundation, and the first Honorary Ambassador to Los Cabos, an honor he was bestowed in 2022 in recognition of his longtime investment in the people and economy of Mexico. UPDATE 6-23-2023: Changes have been made to the tour schedule, but they do not affect the Dallas show. For an updated list of tour stops, visit the website .
It’s time to pull out the labelmakers and look back at those #DesignInspo pics. The leading ladies behind the Emmy Award-nominated Netflix series The Home Edit are coming to Dallas in July.
Founders and series hosts Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin will bring their vibrant personalities and passion for organization to the Eisemann Center on Friday, July 7 for their first-ever "Summer of Fun Tour." They’ll reveal some of their best tips for organizing and share candid (and funny) conversations about parenting, pop culture, business, and more.
The duo rose to fame thanks to their organizing services, Netflix series, New York Times bestselling books, and product line. Their signature style matches their three values, they say.
"With a unique blend of form, function, and fun, we strive to improve the everyday," The Home Edit's website says. "As we continue to cultivate a global collective, we remain committed to inspiring the individual."
On their top-rated Netflix series, the hosts help celebrities and everyday clients edit, categorize, and contain their clutter to make messy places into stunning spaces. Guests have included Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Eva Longoria, Neil Patrick Harris, Kane Brown, and more.
Attendees at the live shows also can expect to see special appearances by celebrities and friends of Clea and Joanna, they say.
The duo promise that the tour will be “perfect for enjoying with girlfriends and all the home-organizing obsessed people in your life,” according to a release.
Following their first stop in Dallas, they’ll visit the Brown Theater in Houston on July 9 as their only other Texas stop.

Duo behind The Home Edit stops in the Valley for 'Summer of Fun' tour

The dynamic duo behind one of Instagram’s most popular organizing accounts, The Home Edit , is stopping in the Valley for their “Summer of Fun Tour” on Tuesday, July 11.
Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin are the masterminds behind The Home Edit, a wildly successful brand that includes organizing celebrity homes, organizational solutions, planners, books, an Emmy-nominated Netflix show, and now, a live tour taking place at Gila River Resorts and Casinos’ Wild Horse Pass.
Shearer and Teplin tell ABC15 they have wanted to produce a live show for several years. However, that plan was sidetracked after the COVID-19 pandemic, and Shearer’s subsequent breast cancer diagnosis.
“This was our year,” said Shearer. “And that's what we called it ‘The Summer of Fun’ because we just needed – we were craving – a fun summer after so many failed attempts.”
The live show is set to be filled with audience interactions, Q and A, and organizing tips and tricks. But, Shearer and Teplin stress that there’s “something for everyone” at their show – even those who don’t color coordinate their books.
“There are the people who are obsessive organizers. There are the people who just like, here for the celebrity gossip,” said Shearer. “Everyone's there for different things, which just makes it a really fun experience.”
Though Shearer and Teplin have made careers out of “Containing the Chaos”, they don’t want the mere idea of uber-organization to scare anyone away from trying.
“There's so much chaos in this world. I mean, more than ever before,” said Teplin. “And this [organizing] is like the small thing that you actually have control over. Even if it's just a little drawer, every time you open the drawer, you know where your phone charger is. You know, where… anything – a pen is. It just makes your day so much simpler and easy to tackle.”
For busy parents especially, Shearer and Teplin noted (finishing each other’s sentences throughout the interview) organizing parts of the home can help start the day off on the right foot.
“As parents, it's so important. There's no bigger fight in the world than the fight about like, what goes in the backpack, right?” Shearer said.
“Or where are your socks?” Teplin added.
Teplin says it is relatively easy and inexpensive to help organize your home, "I mean, it's just the barrier to entry is small, and the payoff is enormous.”
“And it really takes energy upfront, and work upfront. But then once you have your systems in place, the goal of having an organized home is that everything is plug and play,” added Shearer.

Sammy Hagar tour: Van Halen songs on playlist for Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Jason Bonham

Sammy Hagar plans to revitalize some Van Halen vibes on his upcoming summer tour.
For The Best of All Worlds Tour, Hagar and his bandmates in The Circle – bassist Michael Anthony, a founding member of Van Halen, and drummer Jason Bonham – will be joined by guitarist virtuoso Joe Satriani , who has recorded and performed with Hagar and Anthony in the band Chickenfoot.
The itinerary kicks off on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the tour hits a total of 28 cities, concluding August 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. Loverboy will serve as the opening act.
Pre-sales begin on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m., with general on-sale starting Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. local. For more information go to RedRocker.com .
Hagar, 76, joined Van Halen as vocalist in 1985 after David Lee Roth left. Hagar also left the band in 1996, but returned for a 2004 tour. Recently, Hagar says he and Anthony decided to perform songs from their days playing in Van Halen at Hagar's annual Birthday Bash last month in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
"We pulled out a couple of them and it was an instant lovefest with the fans from our first riffs," Hagar said in a statement with the tour announcement. "The music we created is going to outlive us all. They deserve to be heard so it's time we go out and serve the fans that music, while we still can."
The four albums of the "Van Hagar" era of the band – 5150 (1986), OU812 (1988), For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge (1991), and Balance (1995) – were recently re-released in newly remastered editions.
“It’s crazy to think that it’ll be 20 years since Mikey and I played these songs with Van Halen on the 04’ Best of Both Worlds Tour,” said Hagar. “With Joe on board, we can take a deeper dive into those years. We’re going to touch on some hits from my entire career but seeing fans old and new really embrace the new collection set off something in Mikey and I."
Joining the band on keyboards and backing vocals is Australian musician Rai Thistlethwayte.

The Home Edit Besties Talk ‘Summer of Fun Tour’
There’s a thin line between maximalist collector and hoarder, and those of us who love our stuff and have a lot of it (even if it drives us crazy sometimes), are always seeking visually appealing ways to bring order to our lives. From E!’s Clean House to Marie Kondo’s Tidying Up , we can’t get enough of organizational TV shows, and Emmy-nominated Organizing with The Home Edit on Netflix , which became a go-to during and post-pandemic, remains one of our favorites to watch and re-watch for inspiration.
The Home Edit’s Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin have turned their professional organizing business into a multi-tiered global empire with best selling books, their own line at Walmart and The Container Store, a popular podcast (called “Best Friend Energy”) and millions of followers on social media. The TV show was particularly enticing as it provided a peek into the homes of the pair’s famous friends and clients– they can be messy packrats just like us real folk!
The pair just embarked on their first-ever live show, which comes to L.A.’s Saban Theatre this week, and we spoke by phone to both about the events, their editing philosophy, their friendship, and more, just as they were about to get on a plane and start their “Summer of Fun Tour.”
View this post on Instagram A post shared by THE HOME EDIT ® (@thehomeedit)
“This was something we wanted to do for a long time,” says Teplin. “We were hoping to do it actually last summer after everyone was stuck at home with COVID and couldn’t get out and experience the world together. And then Clea was diagnosed with cancer. And so we had to change a lot of plans for last year and make sure we focused on her health journey. And now that she is officially cancer free, we’re able to kind of pick this back up. ”
Shearer, who has shared her health concerns with her following online and the changes it led to (she had long brown hair on the Netflix show and currently rocks a cute natural grey pixie cut) says that while the pair’s plans got pushed aside due to the pandemic and her treatments, in some ways, everything that’s happened has made the experience now much sweeter. “Being able to actually be with people again in person, to see their faces and connect in real life,” she says. “I mean, so much of our connectivity has been online and it’s just really exciting to think about all being together. It’s made the experience much more special.”
The twosome tout a “special guest” on each stop of the tour and they just announced Sex and the City/ And Just Like That star Kristin Davis will be joining them in Los Angeles.
Originally frm L.A., Shearer moved to Nashville and started the business with Teplin in 2015. She knew a lot of high-profile people in her hometown and started by doing organizing jobs in exchange for social media posts. Longtime friend Christina Applegate was their first client. Things snowballed quickly and soon their work got picked up by People magazine. “It’s crazy, but yeah, it was the power of social media and the power of celebrity, in the best possible way,” she adds.
For the live show, the ladies will also play organizing games with the audience, offer Q&A’s and more interactive elements, making for “part variety show, part interview show” format. For the organizationally-challenged, everything these two is upbeat and motivating. In person (and on the phone), their bubbly personalities highlight the joy in an activity that many of us dread.
“It’s really self care and it doesn’t have to be a chore,” enthuses Teplin about cleaning and organizing. “All things that we do, whether that’s the podcast, or the show, or anything, we make it fun, and it’s also in the actual organizing. I think reminding people of that is what we want to do with the live show. I want people to feel emboldened, and like, lean into their personal power. And I think as long as people feel confident, and remember that this is just a step by step process, then I think they’re gonna leave and feel like they can really do it. That’s my hope. I hope a lot of people leave feeling like they are now organizers.”
Organizing is one thing but what about letting go of stuff in the first place? How do we do it? (This writer really needs help with this, by the way).
“First of all, it requires you to really take a look at every single item and don’t make a passive judgment call on if you are going to keep it, you have to make an active judgment call, meaning you need to look at it and you need to decide, ‘does it fit into the categories of needing it, using it, loving it, or having it be fundamental?’ Shearer says. “If it doesn’t fall into those four categories then you simply should not keep it. If someone gave you a present and you know, you’re like, well, someone gave it to me. But does it really feel sentimental to you? If it does, then we can create a section for sentimental items. But if it doesn’t, if you’re keeping it out of guilt, for instance, which is the number one reason people keep things, then it’s not serving you.”
After our phone chat, we got rid of few things that we don’t “need, use or love,” and it felt great. Kondo’s “spark joy” test didn’t work for us because it was too subjective, but The Home Edit checklist is more specific, plus we love their aesthetic, which is based around clear bins for storage and a rainbow spectrum of color for placing, stacking and displaying personal and functional items. We also love their style. “If something has a rainbow or lighting bolt I wear it, and if it has heart or fruit print Joanna wears it,” Shearer explains, to which Templin adds, “Don’t get us wrong, we’re here for an all black outfit too, but we feel like, why not bring fun and cute to what we wear? It makes us happy.”
The eye-candy-like, happy approach to home decor, display and throwing/storing things away has served Shearer and Teplin very well. So much so that they just scored a huge new TV gig: catch them as hosts of the rebooted E xtreme Makeover: Home Edition next year.

Just last month, Drake and Cole linked up for the For All the Dogs track “ First Person Shooter, ” which went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. As Drake’s 13th chart-topper, the track gave him the distinction of tying a record long held by the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson .
In a recent A Safe Place discussion with Lil Yachty , Cole reflected on the track’s success, specifically it having given him his first-ever No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 chart.
"I’d almost feel better not having my first No. 1 be off a Drake alley-oop, you know what I mean?" Cole told Yachty. "Like, I love Drake and I love that I’m a part of that moment with him with Michael Jackson. But it’s like, bruh, I’m grateful I’m a part of it."
Over the summer, Drake surprised fans at a tour stop in Montreal by bringing Cole out as a special guest. Revisit that moment here .

Jason Aldean and Kid Rock to Embark on Rock the Country Festival Tour of Small Towns with Special Guests
Miranda Lambert, Hank Williams Jr., Nelly, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more will join the pair at select dates

Jason Aldean and Kid Rock are hitting the back roads.
On Monday, the country musicians announced they will join forces for the Rock the Country tour, where they'll be headlining seven "small town" festivals across the United States from April through July 2024.
Appearing at the top of the bill for all seven stops from are Aldean, 46, and Kid Rock, 52, who will be joined by the likes of Miranda Lambert , Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others at select dates.
“Rock the Country is for everyone who makes this country run and loves America. Nobody knows how to party like Small Town America,” Kid Rock said in a release.
Rock the Country
Rock the Country will be making stops in Kentucky, Alabama and South Carolina, with the seven-stop tour commencing in Louisiana on April 5 and 6. All seven stops will feature two days of performances. Other acts taking the stage at various shows include Travis Tritt, Lee Brice, Nelly , Warren Zeiders, Big and Rich ft. Gretchen Wilson, Randy Houser, Uncle Kracker, and more.
"This festival is our way of giving back to these communities and providing an experience like never before. We are passionate about curating an event that combines top-tier musical talent with the charm of small-town America, and we can't wait for fans to join us on this historic musical journey,” Nathan Baugh, president of 46 Entertainment, shared in a release.
“Rock the Country is more than just a festival; it's a celebration of music, community, and the shared love for country music that binds us all together," continued Baugh.
Presale tickets for the tour will be available Thursday, while public sale begins Friday.

The festival run comes on the heels of controversies from both Aldean and Kid Rock.
Originally released in May, Aldean's chart-topping track "Try That in a Small Town" drew criticism over the summer from listeners who accused the singer of encouraging violence and racism with the song's lyrics. Aldean also filmed its music video at the site of a 1927 lynching in his town of Columbia, Tennessee.
Speaking to CBS Mornings this past month, Aldean argued that "there was people of all color doing stuff in the video."
"There was white people in there. There was Black people. I mean, this video did not shine light on one specific group and say, 'That's the problem.' And anybody that saw that in the video, then you weren't looking hard enough in the video, is all I can tell you," he said.
Richard Rodriguez/Getty Images
The musician also addressed the video's filming location of the Maury County Courthouse, where 18-year-old Black man Henry Choate was lynched nearly 100 years before. As Aldean explained, he wasn't aware of the history of the building when he filmed the clip, and he would "probably not" film there again.
"But also, I don’t think, again, I’m not gonna go back 100 years and check on the history of this building," he said. "If you’re in the south, you could probably go to any small-town courthouse — you’re going to be hard-pressed to find one that hasn't had some sort of racial issue over the years at some point. I mean, that’s just a fact."
Despite the controversy, Aldean defended his intentions releasing the song, adding that he would "do it over again, every time ... minus the setting, knowing what I know now, obviously, you know, knowing that that was gonna be a thing."
"I know what the intentions were behind the location, the video, the song, all of it. And, you know, and I stand by all that," he said.
As for Kid Rock, the "All Summer Long" singer received backlash earlier this year after he went viral for shooting cases of Bud Light with a semi-automatic rifle. The clip came shortly after the beverage brand tapped influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a sponsored video, which prompted both transphobic and hateful rhetoric from conservative social media personalities.
See below for Aldean and Kick Rock's Rock the Country festival dates for 2024.

Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago return to Twin Cities with Xcel Energy Center concert next summer
By Eric Henderson

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Some of the most famous horn licks in pop music history will once again blast out to fans in the Twin Cities, as Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago have announced an encore concert date for their joined-at-the-hip tour.
The two bands have toured as a package deal on and off in recent years, at times even trading covers of each other's songs. Now, they're joining forces again for their 2024 "Heart & Soul" tour, which promises more supergroup blowouts.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 13 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul , with tickets set to go on sale Friday. The tour will take both bands to 30 different cities next year.
Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago have collectively sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, and both acts have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Earth, Wind & Fire have also been the recipients of a Kennedy Center Honor .

Earth, Wind & Fire was the brainchild of the late Maurice White, who took his vision of optimism and Black excellence to the top of the charts in the '70s, with such beloved tracks as "That's the Way of the World," "Let's Groove," "After the Love Has Gone," and "Can't Hide Love" still winning them new fans with each passing year. And their infectious dance hit "September" remains one of the most beloved songs of any era, standing at over 1.4 billion streams on Spotify as of this week.
Chicago also ruled the airwaves throughout the '70s and '80s, charging out of the gate with horn-laden standbys as "Saturday in the Park" and "25 or 6 to 4" giving way to such power ballads as "If You Leave Me Now," "You're the Inspiration" and "Look Away."
Both bands have collectively been nominated or won a slew of Grammys, and both are also recipients of the lifetime achievement Grammy Award.
Tickets for their Xcel Energy Center concert go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday.

Georgia Travel: 9+ Fun Things To Do On Jekyll Island With Kids
Posted: November 14, 2023 | Last updated: November 14, 2023
Jekyll Island, a hidden gem along Georgia’s coast, is perfect for families seeking sun-soaked adventures and unforgettable memories. Dive into the magic of this captivating island with my list of 9+ fun things to do on Jekyll Island with kids, and ensure your family getaway is something you’ll treasure forever.
Also, if you still need to plan your trip, my post about Best Places To Stay On Jekyll Island will help you find the best accommodations for your family trip!
Where is Jekyll Island Located?
If you are unfamiliar with Jekyll Island, it is a pristine barrier island off the southeastern coast of Georgia . Nestled among Georgia’s Golden Isles, it is part of a chain of barrier islands renowned for their natural beauty and coastal charm.
Situated approximately midway between Savannah, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida, Jekyll Island is easily reachable for those exploring the southeastern United States. The island’s unique blend of historic sites, picturesque beaches, and ecological wonders makes it a sought-after destination for families, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat along the stunning Atlantic coastline.
Accessible by car via the Jekyll Island Causeway, this 7-mile-long island is a haven for nature enthusiasts, history buffs, and beach lovers alike. Interestingly, the island is actually owned and managed by the state’s Jekyll Island Authority, and the conservation efforts are much appreciated by visitors. Due to building restrictions, the island is significantly less congested than its neighbors. For that reason, it is one of the last places where you can truly relax.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Jekyll Island?
Its location along the Atlantic Ocean lends itself to a mild climate, making Jekyll Island an inviting destination throughout the year. Summertime is the best time to visit if you are looking for beach weather. Everything is open during the summertime, but that is when the area is most crowded. However, it is nowhere near as crowded as other popular beach destinations . There are plenty of things to do on Jekyll Island with kids in the summer.
In summer, the days revolve around the beach and pool. But, in the winter, the Historic District, in particular, becomes a magical holiday haven. There are actually quite a few things to do on Jekyll Island with kids during the winter.
Visiting Jekyll Island with kids for the holidays has been a tradition for generations. In fact, iconic American families such as the Carnegies, Rockefellers, and Vanderbilts used to winter here! If you visit over the holidays, your family can enjoy the Holly Jolly Jekyll celebration held between November 24 and January 7 this year. There are holiday light tours, fireworks, a light parade, and more!
Things To Do On Jekyll Island With Kids
If you are looking for a place to spend true quality time with your family, Jekyll Island is one of my top family travel recommendations. As I mentioned above, it is very different from most other travel destinations in the southeast. There is a slower pace here, much like what people desire when visiting 30A in the Florida panhandle . On Jekyll Island, the to-do list is short, making it perfect for a long weekend trip.
Here are some of my favorite things to do on Jekyll Island with kids!
1. Experience The Magic of Driftwood Beach
You can not visit Jekyll Island without a visit to the fascinating Driftwood Beach . Known for its hauntingly beautiful landscapes, this unique beach is adorned with weathered trees and driftwood sculptures. This, by far, tops my list of things to do on Jekyll Island with kids!
Let your kids’ imaginations run wild as they explore this magical piece of shoreline, offering the perfect backdrop for family photos and beachcombing treasures. If you want to catch the iconic sunrises, arrive early and check the tides. I have a dedicated blog post with many pictures from our visit to Driftwood Beach and some tips for your adventure!
Read: Visiting Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island .
Also, while we didn’t get a chance to do it, horseback riding on Driftwood Beach looks magical! I 100% will be doing this on our next family trip to Jekyll Island.
2. Georgia Sea Turtle Center
Both the children and the adults are sure to enjoy a visit to the famous Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island. This educational yet heartwarming experience was such a fun outing for our family while visiting Jekyll Island, Georgia.
Your kids will be captivated by the fascinating world of sea turtles through interactive exhibits and rehabilitation efforts. Witness the incredible work of dedicated professionals committed to the conservation and protection of these majestic creatures, making it an inspiring stop for the whole family.
For more information, including pictures and tips, please read my blog post about Visiting The Sea Turtles on Jekyll Island . This is truly one of the most iconic things to do on Jekyll Island with kids!
3. Jekyll Island Boat Tours & Jekyll Island Dolphin Tours
Did you know that the waters around Jekyll Island are home to one of the world’s largest populations of beautiful bottlenose dolphins?
Book one of the Captain Phillip dolphin tours and watch majestic dolphins feeding, playing, or simply cruising about in their natural habitat. The 90-minute sightseeing tours along the Intracoastal waterway are fully narrated by expert local guides.
These tours offer a thrilling opportunity for kids to spot playful dolphins in their natural habitat. As they witness these marine wonders up close, the excitement and awe on your children’s faces will be a highlight of your island getaway. This is one of the most popular things to do on Jekyll Island with kids for a reason.
Whether you opt for a sunset cruise or a nature-focused expedition, your family will be treated to breathtaking views and the chance to encounter local wildlife. It’s a fantastic way to bond with your kids while immersing yourselves in the island’s natural beauty.
Tours depart from the Historic Jekyll Wharf at the Jekyll Island Club and run daily from March through October. November through February tours are limited, so check the calendar for availability. I recommend booking tickets in advance through Jekyll Island Boat Tours .
4. Explore The Jekyll Island Historic District and The Jekyll Island Club
I loved this area on Jekyll Island, and as I mentioned in my Jekyll Island Hotels blog post, I want to stay at the Jekyll Island Club on my next visit. The rich history of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel is simply iconic!
Transport your family to another era by exploring the Jekyll Island Historic District (240 acres) and the Jekyll Island Club on your trip to the island. Wander through historic cottages, museums, and vibrant gardens that tell the story of Jekyll Island’s rich past. You can engage your kids with tales of the island’s glamorous history, making history come alive for the whole family.
The 60-minute Jekyll Island guided trolley tour is an excellent option if you have little ones and want to minimize walking. The tram tour starts at the Mosaic Jekyll Island Museum. It includes entry into a historic cottage and admission into the Mosaic Gallery and Faith Chapel.
Additionally, a Jekyll Island horse and carriage tour departs from the Jekyll Island Club area as well! This is a pretty magical experience and one of the most unique things to do on Jekyll Island with kids.
And make sure to eat lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants at the Jekyll Island Club . I loved eating out at The Wharf along the water so much that we did it twice. Abby and Jake want me to tell you that there is a candy store, too!
5. Beaches: Sun, Sand, and Surf
One of the best ways to truly enjoy quality time with your family is just to relax and be together. A day at the beach is a perfect way to accomplish this. Plus, it’s one of the best free things to do on Jekyll Island with kids!
Jekyll Island boasts 10 miles of unspoiled coastline. Its pristine beaches invite families to unwind and play beneath the Georgia sun. Build sandcastles, look for seashells, or splash in the gentle waves. The island’s family-friendly beaches provide a perfect setting for relaxation and endless seaside fun. Enjoying a day at the beach is one of our favorite outdoor activities!
For a complete list of Jekyll Island beaches, click here .
Also, located near St. Andrews Beach, you will find the Wanderer Memorial . I recommend you take the time to walk the Wanderer Memory Trail on the way to the beach. While a somber look at Georgia’s history, it was educational and eye-opening for our entire family. It tells the story of one of America’s last known slave ships, the Wanderer, that came ashore illegally in 1858 with more than 400 enslaved Africans.
6. Make A Splash At Summer Waves Water Park
Cool off from the Georgia heat at the Summer Waves Water Park . Packed with thrilling water slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones, this water park guarantees a day of family-friendly excitement. Watch your kids enjoy the aquatic adventures and create cherished memories under the sun.
This park is seasonal and is only open during the summer months. So, plan accordingly.
7. Jekyll Island Miniature Golf
Located at the island’s center, across from Great Dunes Park, Jekyll Island Mini Golf is home to two 18-hole putt-putt golf courses, one for beginners and one for more advanced. While it lacks some of the bells and whistles of new and modern courses in the big, popular beach towns, the nostalgia here is 10/10.
8. Biking Around Jekyll Island On The Jekyll Island Trail System
If your kids are old enough to bike, exploring Jekyll Island on two wheels unveils a world of natural beauty and historical richness unrivaled.
Jekyll Island Trail System , the island’s network of biking trails, offers an immersive and eco-friendly way to experience its diverse landscapes. As you pedal along the paved paths, surrounded by maritime forests, salt marshes, and scenic ocean vistas, you’ll discover the true essence of Jekyll Island’s coastal charm. In fact, Trip Advisor rates the trail system as the #1 thing to do on Jekyll Island with a 5-star average review!
The well-maintained trails are suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels, providing a family-friendly adventure that allows you to set your own pace and savor the island’s unique atmosphere. Moreover, cyclists can easily navigate between the island’s most iconic attractions, including Driftwood Beach, the Historic District, and the Georgia Sea Turtle Center , all while enjoying the gentle ocean breezes.
9. Shop, Dine, and Relax on Jekyll Island
As you can see, there isn’t an overabundance of expensive touristy attractions on Jekyll Island. The pace is slower, and the island offers an opportunity to savor precious time with your loved ones.
The only other thing I want to point out is the great dining options (many with live music) and some opportunities to shop. On our recent trip, we ate at Torguga Jacks, The Whart at the Jekyll Island Club , Zachry’s near the Jekyll Harbor Marina, Wee Pub Beach, Harry’s Lounge at The Westin , and others. Everything was unique, and the small-town hospitality was appreciated!
The Jekyll Island Beach Village area is a great place to spend a few hours. I recommend going here toward the start of your trip if you aren’t staying at one of the hotels within walking distance, such as the Westin Jekyll Island. There is a great little grocer, the Jekyll Market, and several shops offering wine/beer. It’s a great chance to pick up essentials for your trip. Furthermore, the Village Green space at the center of this shopping district is a fun place for kids to run around, and there is beach access right there as well!
Other Things To Do On Jekyll Island
Since this post is curated for families, I left out a few activities geared more toward adults. Some are activities that we have yet to try ourselves, so I don’t feel 100% comfortable including them in my Jekyll Island must-dos, such as Gatorology at Horton’s Pond. So, if you have done any of these, leave me a comment and let me know if you enjoyed them!
Here are some more things to do on Jekyll Island;
- Jekyll Island Golf Club
- Mosaic Jekyll Island History Museum
- Horton’s Pond
- Faith’s Chapel
- Deep Sea Fishing
- 4H Tidelands Nature Center
- Horton’s House
Plan Your Visit to Jekyll Island With Kids
Jekyll Island is a place that everyone should visit at least once!
First, determine where you want to stay. There are plenty of Jekyll Island Airbnb and VRBO options, a dozen or so Jekyll Island Hotels, and the Jekyll Island campground. I highly recommend the Jekyll Island Club Resort . For a complete look at the different types of accommodations on Jekyll Island, read this post .
After booking your accommodations and airfare, if you plan to fly, you simply need to book bike rentals or a dolphin tour. And only if you want to! Actually, you can come and enjoy the island without a bunch of pre-planning and strict itineraries.
Lastly, upon arriving on Jekyll Island, consider making the Jekyll Island Visitor Center your first stop. This is something I do wherever we travel. These welcome centers are for people just like us. We often leave with maps, brochures, and even coupons!
Happy travels! And you can click here to read all of our family travel adventures!

Take a peek inside Taylor Swift’s $50 million NYC compound where she seeks reprieve between Eras Tour shows

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.
Between Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour mayhem and her red-hot romance with Travis Kelce , the “Cruel Summer” singer has found solace in her $50 million New York City compound.
Swift, 33, purchased the 7-bedroom $18 million Tribeca townhouse on Franklin Street from “Lord of the Rings” director Peter Jackson in 2014.
She then expanded along the cobblestone block by snapping up three units in the building next door for just under $10 million each.
The top two floors were combined together to create one spanning 8,300-square-foot duplex.
While the pop star has historically been quite private about her personal life, she has, every so often, shared glimpses of the interiors of her luxurious Big Apple abode.

Whether she’s snapping photos of her beloved cats or precious moments with friends, she has shared several sneak peeks from inside her sprawling property, which exhibits a rustic aura inside.
Swift’s dining room is painted with red walls and features a long wood dining table, velvet couches, vintage red rugs and neoclassical chandeliers.
The decor creates an almost baroque minimalist atmosphere that looks cozy and inviting while simultaneously serious and edgy — an apparent homage to her personality.

In contrast to her low-lit romantic living spaces, Swift’s kitchen is quite bright and contemporary.
Swift has shared photos of her yellow-walled kitchen in which there is a stunning white and gray marble island and tons of sunlight streaming in through massive windows.
The ceiling is slated with wooden beams to create a farmhouse feel and her appliances are state-of-the-art yet understated.

The Grammy-winning artist has made sure to make the home the perfect space for hosting parties with a moody wet bar and a classy pool table inside.

Several A-listers have had the pleasure of exploring Swift’s hallowed halls including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid and Sophie Turner.

The “Game of Thrones” star and her kids even sought refuge at the songwriter’s downtown Manhattan manse during her divorce from Joe Jonas.
Meanwhile, Kelce, 34, was spotted leaving Swift’s glamorous pad when he was in town for his game against the New York Jets last month.
And it isn’t just her beautiful home that keeps Swift coming back to New York City for more. She also clearly loves the local restaurant and nightlife scene and has been spotted at some of her favorite spots over the past few months.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - A pair of large and legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame bands, Earth, Wind and Fire and Chicago, are joining forces next summer for the “Heart and Soul” tour, which will stop at Blossom Music Center on Tuesday, July 16. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 17, at EarthWindAndFire.com and ChicagoTheBand.com .
The tour will feature the bands as co-headliners and the show will end with both the big bands performing together. Both bands have roots in the Chicago area. Earth Wind and Fire mastermind, singer-songwriter-producer Maurice White was a student at the Chicago Conservatory of Music and founded an early version of the band, The Salty Peppers, in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles and renaming the group Earth Wind and Fire.
The band Chicago was named for the city and the region where many of the group’s founding members were raised. Both bands are Rock Hall inductees with EWF being welcomed in 2000 and Chicago joining in 2016.
The two bands together have sold more than 200 million albums, earned 11 Grammys and have stayed active as touring and occasional recording groups. Earth Wind and Fire released its first holiday music album “Holiday,” in 2014 and Chicago released its 26th studio album, “Chicago XXXVIII: Born for This Moment,” in 2022.
