Star Trek X RockLove PICARD Dahj & Soji Omega Necklace
- Seen on-screen in CBS’s series Star Trek: Picard
- Creator of the actual prop worn in filming
- Official licensed Star Trek product
- Nickel-free sterling silver
- Three size choices of omega chain with tube clasp
- 19mm x 29mm
Product Care
Tube Clasp: In addition to making a seamless clasp, the curved tube keeps the necklace closed with tension. If your clasp is feeling loose, just bend (with your fingers) both the wire and tube ends more curved and they will fit more securely. Sterling silver is malleable, you won’t hurt the Omega at all.
Sculpted in solid sterling silver, as seen on Dahj & Soji in CBS’s new series Star Trek: Picard . The pendant features two interlocking circles that slide along a sterling silver omega necklace. A futuristic chain of rounded and joined plates, the omega holds a rigid circle shape and is meant to lay high at the collar bone. The closure is a near-invisible friction-style tube clasp that enhances the illusion of seamlessness.
Every piece of Star Trek X RockLove jewelry arrives in a signature Star Trek X RockLove Jewelry Box featuring black and silver metallic with vibrant blue galaxy print.
RockLove’s designer, CEO, and life-long Star Trek fan, Allison Cimino, was invited (and honored!) to work with Jeffrey Lombardi, the Prop Master of Star Trek: Picard. Created from Jeffrey’s original designs, she translates the renders into physical jewelry items worn by the actors.
RockLove’s Star Trek: Picard jewelry utilize the exact same sculpts as those made for the show. They are a perfect match for those worn by the actors during filming!

Exclusive: The Jewelry In ‘Star Trek Beyond’
Uhura’s vulcan necklace turns the plot while her earrings shine.
by Marion Fasel
If you are surprised to see Star Trek Beyond in this column about jewelry and movies, you have not seen the film yet. Obviously, it is not all diamonds and pearls like the array of treasure in the jewelry blockbuster hit of the summer. The jewelry is much more, however, than just the statement earrings worn by Lieutenant Uhura in every Star Trek ever made. The Vulcan Amulet Necklace is a vehicle for the romance between Uhura (Zoe Saldana) and Commander Spock (Zachary Quinto). It plays a part in the action—yes, I said action. And it also inspires some great banter.
The same style of Ted Muehling earrings from August in Los Angeles worn by Zoe Saldana in Star Trek Beyond Photo courtesy
Before getting into the creation of the one-of-a-kind necklace lets look at the earrings for Uhura. Art jewelry classics by Ted Muehling, the Small Silver Chips were sourced at the Los Angeles jewelry boutique August by Elena Balshem from costume designer Sanja Milkovic Hays’ team. Smaller in scale than the earrings worn by Uhura in previous productions, they were appropriate for the intensity of Star Trek Beyond that mainly takes place on the planet Altamid . The beautifully shaped silver and perfectly sculpted gold French wires in the earrings translated magnificently on the big screen. While the inspiration for the design was certainly organic, like most of Muehling’s work, they look futuristic in the sci-fi context.
The key jewel in the movie, Uhura’s Vulcan amulet necklace, was created by the props department.
Uhura’s Vulcan amulet necklace
“I can make a space gun almost without thinking about it, but if you want to do jewelry you have to pay attention,” explained Andy Siegal, the prop master on the production, who was reached by phone in Los Angeles. The first thing Andy did was enlist illustrator John Eaves , a Trek veteran with experience dating back to the 1989 film Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. “John understands the importance of the Trek visual language,” said Andy.
In the script written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, the necklace had belonged to Spock’s mother so Eaves generated a few designs with a retro Star Trek vibe. The concepts were 3d printed in various sizes, shown to the director Justin Lin for approval and tried on Saldana for the fit. Next wax models were made for the pendant by a jeweler and transformed into metal that was aged. A box chain necklace was sourced and added to the amulet.
Meanwhile Andy went on the hunt for the right blue gem to set in the jewel. “We found a beautiful opal but it was too expensive plus we needed to make three,” said Andy. “One for Zoe, one for her double and one in case something happened to one of the other two.” The resolution to the situation was to find someone who could make a synthetic opal. “We went crazy into the details of this thing. We wanted the entire piece to look cool and real. We had the synthetic stones cut three times to get the striations right and make sure the stone was the perfect width, because, well, you never know how close a close-up is going to be.”
The first time the necklace appears on screen there is only a glimpse of the blue stone in Saldana’s hand. (See the clip above.) It enters the film plot when the action gets heavy and shines in all its glory at the end.

Federation holoship

The Federation holoship was a prototype Federation starship first launched in early 2375 .
- 3.1 Background information
- 3.2 Studio model
- 3.3 Apocrypha
- 3.4 External link
History [ ]
In 2375, the holoship was employed by Admiral Dougherty and Ru'afo to secretly transport the entire six hundred Ba'ku inhabitants off the Ba'ku planet without their knowledge in order to obtain the metaphasic radiation inherent in the planet 's rings .
The ship was cloaked and placed at the bottom of a lake , located near the Ba'ku village . It was later detected by Starfleet personnel, unaware of its presence, due to strong neutrino emissions coming from the lake. Once discovered by Captain Jean-Luc Picard , Lieutenant Commander Data and Anij , Picard ordered the holoship decloaked and thereby exposed to the inhabitants of the planet.
It was later brought back into the planet's orbit , recloaked, by Lieutenant Commander Worf , where it was used to transport the command crew from the bridge of Ru'afo's flagship . This feat allowed Gallatin and Jean-Luc Picard to hijack control of Ru'afo's ship and disable the nearby Son'a collector . The holoship was then decloaked and held in a tractor beam at the order of Picard. Despite all of the ship's transporters being locked and secured by Picard, Worf and Gallatin, Ru'afo was able to reroute the command sequencer on one of the transporters through the auxiliary processor in order to beam himself over to the collector. The Son'a crew later utilized the same method to beam back to their ship. ( Star Trek: Insurrection )
Interior of the Federation holoship
The Federation holoship's outward design was that of a rectangular vessel containing a forward mounted bridge module and warp nacelles set into the main body.
The holoship was built specifically to serve as a transportable holodeck used to create holographic environments to simulate the surroundings familiar to the holoship's passengers, although the ship had difficulty maintaining a complete program as the hologrid was visible in some locations. It was also equipped with fourteen long-range transporters and a cloaking device . ( Star Trek: Insurrection )
Appendices [ ]
Background information [ ].
The idea of surreptitiously transplanting an indigenous people by use of the holodeck had already been explored in TNG : " Homeward " when a group of Boraalans were transplanted in the holodeck of the USS Enterprise -D without their knowledge to their new homeworld as their own world became uninhabitable. The concept of the holoship might have stemmed from this incident. The chairs used on the bridge of the holoship were re-purposed from the bridge of the USS Defiant from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine .
Studio model [ ]
Apocrypha [ ].
The Section 31 novel Abyss , by David Weddle and Jeffrey Lang , established that the holoship was created by Section 31 for the Ba'ku incident, which the organization had engineered and had publicly blamed on Dougherty. The holoship was slated for destruction by Starfleet Command after the incident became public; however, Commander Elias Vaughn ( β ) and his cabal of Starfleet officers covertly working against Section 31 stole the ship and faked destruction reports , later using it to help undermine various Section 31 operations.

10 Deleted Scenes That Explain Confusing Star Trek Moments
So where did Nero go for 25 years?!
Like all major Hollywood franchises, Star Trek's history is full of what-ifs and alternate versions of episodes and movies we never got to see.
We've been treated to director's cuts of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Wrath of Khan, and The Undiscovered Country, as well as extended episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation released when that series was remastered for blu-ray. Still, there exists numerous other missing scenes or deleted material for extended editions and ultimate cuts that will likely never see the light of day.
Some of these deleted scenes are just fun additions (Kirk skydiving in Star Trek Generations, anyone?) and still others would explain points of confusion and mysteries that have cropped up over the films and episodes . With that in mind, here are 10 mysteries from Star Trek films and television episodes and the deleted scenes that explain them all away.
10. Star Trek Generations - Soran Tortures Geordi
The Mystery:
What did Soran mean when he told the Duras Sisters Geordi's "heart just wasn't in it" after they captured LaForge in Star Trek Generations?
The Deleted Scene:
Likely deleted to retain the family friendly PG rating, a torture scene was filmed but ultimately removed from Star Trek Generations that featured Soran torturing a captured Geordi LaForge.
While the scene in the theatrical cut ends with LaForge strapped to a table and Soran asking him about trilithium, the sequence was meant to continue and show Soran attempting to find out exactly what the crew of the Enterprise-D knows about his plan and what, if anything, Guinan told them about his past. While LaForge keeps his answers technical, Soran isn't satisfied and uses a Borg nanoprobe to stop Geordi's heart to motivate the engineer to talk.
The torture apparently still doesn't work, but Soran has heart jokes. He tells LaForge in the deleted scene he can tell Geordi has "a good heart" and later, in the theatrical cut, there's the whole "his heart just wasn't in it" line. Also in the final cut, Doctor Crusher can later be heard telling Geordi she's removed the nanoprobe and that she thinks he's going to be fine. Tough guy that LaForge.
