Staffs I met really friendly and kind. I really appreciate their attitude. And the dorm bed made by strong steel is really stable. Good to sleep without sound of shaking beds.

Clean and comfy, that’s how I describe this hostel which is the most important part that made me want to go back there. There are many facilities at this place like a hair dryer and a hair straightener. The kitchen is also nice and perfect for cooking your meals. Moreover, they also clean the bathrooms often. Also, the location is perfect since it is in the center of the city. Easy to get on the bus and travel around. For those who like partying and activities, this place will match you well because there are many activities you can join in, while also offering you a choice if you prefer to spend your own time.

It was a private room at a good price. The beds were set up to also serve as a dorm room, but the lower bed was wider and comfortable. The bathroom was next door and was adequate. I arrived in the evening and departed the next morning on a train, so it was more than adequate for a one night stopover.

The room for 1 person is very big, bigger than the other room a stay with my friend. Have free shampoo and tea. This room has sufficient power plugs to use.

The staff was very nice, find my left behind camera and inform me immediately by mail,so that I could return & collect it before I left. Thanks a lot😀😀

Everything that you might expect from a hostel; clean, convenient, cheap with a shared kitchen area. Reasonable for what you get. Appreciate the enforcement of noise curfew rules.

Stayed there for the 3rd time and the facilities and staff was worth it...highly recommended.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This is the place to meet travellers, especially if you just arrived and want to hang out to discover NZ. The blankets are comfy and the room are spacious (4bed) and we'll thought.

The location is great because it is within walking distance of the city. Facilities exceeded my expectation and everyone just minds their own business. Cleaning staff were there early every morning to clean up and take out the trash which was good and it is a place where you can meet and make new friends with people from all different walks of life.

Location and Contact

• Trek Global backpackers is centrally located just a foot step away from all of Wellington’s attractions, in no time you will be hitting all the cafes, bars and shops that the Arts and Culture capital has to offer. • From Wellington Airport – Catch a shuttle or taxi which will drop you off at the front door, or the airport flyer which will drop you off five minutes’ walk from Trek Global. A shuttle will cost approximately $20 and takes around 30 minutes, and a taxi will cost between $30 to $40 dollars and take around 20 minutes. The airport flyer which picks up from Wellington airport every 15 minutes costs approximately $10 and takes 30minutes. • From the Ferry Terminals - Catch a free shuttle which drops you off at the train station and taxi from there or catch one of the many taxis and shuttles which are waiting as the ferry’s drop off. First time to stay at a backpackers and it exceeded my expectations. Very clean facility, not noisy, easy to locate and very accessible to the city. staff are friendly too!

Came here for my friends birthday party and need a place to crash and this place had all what I need ! Met awesome people a girl called eve such a bubbly person and a few French guys ! I also met a crazy lady like two doors down my room starts scream and slamming the door which was cute, had a really chilled guy as my roommate just only us which was so nice and quite and he looks like lil dicky the rapper, haha it’s nice that they have a little kitchen and 3 toilet suites out of my room and a little table to eat your food ! Just a safe place to me and if I need to be in town I’m literally in town !!

Had pretty nice rooms that were clean, but bathrooms needs a lot of extra attention on the upper floors. The lobby tables seem forever stick and lounge sofas seem itchy. Other than that, it seems to foster a good environment to meet people, kitchen seems nice, and staff seems relatively friendly and helpful. Location is a real bummer if you got lots of things, on a very steep hill.

We thought we had booked into a room with a shower however it was shared facilities. The toilet and showers were unclean. Hair in the plugs, no soap. They weren't even cleaned once a day sometimes. Disgusting considering how many people are using the facilities. Also our blinds didn't close properly in the room, the springs in the bed were broken and sticking into our backs. I wouldn't stay here again.

Extremely secure building, you have to scan thru several doors to reach your room. Kitchen is small and only 2 toilets/showers for your section of the floor, as you cannot access other sections. Staff are friendly enough and make an effort to keep the place clean

位置极佳，在教堂隔壁，极为安静，但出门不远就是商业街，还有New World超市，走远点还有countdown， 700m外是Te papa国家博物馆．可以看到穿制服的工作人员在忙碌，不像很多其他 hostel只有前台。厕所干净整洁提供洗浴用品。强力推荐。

안좋아요 메트리스도 편하지 않고 방도좁고 와이파이는 느리고 끊기고 이틀동안 힘들엇어요

느리고 자주 끊어지고 최악이었어요 공용숙소에서 와이파이가 안된다는건 많이 불편했어요. 그외 시설은 그럭저럭 이고 방은 4인용인데 저렴한만큼 작아요. 좋은건 위치에요

About Trek Global Backpackers

Trek Global Backpackers offers shared and private hostel accommodation with an array of communal facilities in the centre of the city, just one block from popular Willis Street. Dormitories feature bunk beds and are available in four and six bed occupancies. Private single, double and twin rooms are also offered. The property features a female-only floor for added security and convenience, complete with female-only bathroom facilities. There are a variety of communal areas including a TV lounge, games room and rooftop patio. A shared library is included plus there is free Wi-Fi access on the property. Lockers feature in all rooms and staff can assist with bicycle hire. A communal kitchen features on each floor of the hostel to ensure there is plenty of shared space for self-catering. Free hot drinks are available plus there is an outside BBQ area for guest use. Te Papa Museum and Wellington Cable Car are both approximately a kilometre away from Trek Global Backpackers.
