  • 621aliciad 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Well worth the time and money! We enjoyed this tour so much! Essan was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable! We ended up having our own private tour since the 3 of us in our party were the only ones booked! Amazing! I love that we were picked up at our hotel! We started at the CN tour, where Essan dropped us off at the entrance to go up the tour and explore for ~30 minutes. Just on the way to the tower, he shared so many fun facts about the area! When we were done, he was waiting outside of the tower for us and shared another fascinating history story. He shared his personal story with us and we were amazed at how many synchronicities there were! We then went to the Distillery District, where he brought us into a distillery and shared some additional stories. He walked us all over that district, making sure we stopped to get pictures. He was thrilled to take pictures for us! He took us to many more sites, including the upscale shopping areas and shared so much of the areas history! All in all, we easily were with him over 3 hours! Well worth the money! Essan was entertaining and funny and by the end, we felt like we had made a new friend! I highly recommend this tour! Not too much walking but so much covered! Thanks, Essan!! • Yu-yea T 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Abeir-y excellent tour!😊 Our small group tour ended up being a private tour as there were 7 of us in our group. Abeir, our tour guide, was very engaging and informative. Despite all the traffic due to construction going on downtown (construction season), he knew how to navigate the streets with minimal delay so we were able to make our boat tour around the harbor. He was also engaging during traffic and was a fount of knowledge about Toronto and it’s history. If we were to tour Toronto ourselves, we wouldn’t have learned the history part or have known about the PATH ( underground shopping). A day well spent to see the best of Toronto! As an aside, Abeir, went above and beyond after the tour ended- first when I realized I left my sunglasses in the van as soon as we got off, he turned around and dropped them off. Second, he sent me a text a few hours later with a picture of my son’s hoodie, to ask if it was one of ours and when I confirmed, he said he will drop it off at the reception desk in the morning! We were so lucky to have him as our guide! Read more Written October 3, 2023

  • asmnyc 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Horrible experience! Horrible experience! I could write a really long review but frankly don’t want to take the time so I’ll give the abbreviated version. We waited 1.5 hours past the pickup time at our hotel. We called every 30 minutes and they didn’t know what was happening. We finally found out the driver picked up other people from a different hotel and forgot to pick us up. He didn’t check names on his list. Then they pick us up and bring us to the CN Tower to join the tour but there’s not enough room in the bus. We finally say forget it, we’ll do our own tour. We want a full refund and they said okay. Then days/weeks pass and no refund. I emailed to follow up and no response (par for the course). Finally I called and spoke with someone who processed the refund. Overall, just a horrible experience. Look, everyone makes mistakes. What made this so bad is the lack of communication in the morning to inform us what was happening while we were waiting 1.5 hours. Then the lack of communication, follow up and frankly not doing what they said they would do. Spend your money elsewhere. Read more Written September 24, 2023

Padraig Harrington wins Hoag Classic Newport Beach in electric finish

Closes with back-to-back birdies for one-shot win over thongchai jaidee.

Change Text Size

One week removed from St. Patrick’s Day, the Irish energy remained on Padraig Harrington’s side in California.

Harrington, 52, rebounded from a potentially devastating double bogey at the 16th hole of Sunday’s final round at the Hoag Classic Newport Beach, closing with birdies on Nos. 17 and 18 at Newport Beach Country Club for his seventh career PGA TOUR Champions title. Harrington closed in 2-under 69 for a winning total of 14-under 199, one stroke clear of Thongchai Jaidee, who matched Harrington’s final-round score after trailing by one into Sunday. Miguel Angel Jiménez finished third, two back of Harrington.

Padraig Harrington makes bounce-back birdie on No. 17 at Hoag Classic

With this victory, Harrington moves from No. 31 to No. 5 on the Charles Schwab Cup standings, as he eyes his first season-long title on PGA TOUR Champions.

Harrington’s final three holes Sunday were nothing short of theatrical. After a two-putt birdie from 8 feet at the short par-5 15th, he hooked his tee shot left at the par-4 16th, forcing a chip-out and then hitting his third into a greenside bunker. It led to his second double bogey of the day (he made 5 at the par-3 fourth), moving him one back of Jaidee and Jiménez at the time.

But the Irishman’s resilience was on display as he drained a 20-foot birdie putt at the par-3 17th to draw even with Jaidee into the par-5 18th hole, one clear of Jiménez, who made bogey at 17. The Spaniard’s eagle chip at 18 checked up 20 feet shy; Jaidee’s eagle chip raced over the green, and he chipped back to a couple feet. Harrington found the greenside bunker in two shots and blasted to 8 feet, setting up a putt for the win.

Harrington’s birdie putt caught the left edge and curled into the cup, eliciting a hearty fist pump that would be a worthy addition to any Champions Tour highlights compilation.

“Throughout my career, the best thing I do is when my back’s to the wall,” Harrington said afterward. “When I have to do something, I’m at my best, and I’m at my absolute worst when I’ve got an easy shot.

“I stood on the tee shot there (on 16) … there was no trouble, and it was the easiest tee shot in the world … when I’m overconfident, I’m not great. I’m much better when I’m in trouble. That’s just my personality. I wish it was different, and sometimes it’s nice to win easy, but even after 16, I knew I was playing well, I knew I was hitting the ball well. I could finish strong.”

Padraig Harrington makes birdie on No. 15 at Hoag Classic

Harrington turned 50 in August 2021 and has quickly established himself as one of the Champions Tour’s players to beat, even though he still relishes the chance to compete on the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour (he’s headed to next week’s Texas Children’s Houston Open on TOUR, as well).

Harrington has embraced the game’s power era in recent years, staying diligent with speed training to maintain a distance advantage on the Champions Tour and also keep up with his younger peers at the game’s elite levels. In 37 career Champions Tour starts, he has recorded 21 top-five finishes; he won four times in 2022 and twice in 2023. He also made the cut in three major championships last year – the PGA Championship, U.S. Open and The Open. His process is working.

Could Harrington be on his way to another multi-win season? It’s early, but things seem to be shaping up that way.

“I thought I played really well; I drove it great all day, (just) kept leaving myself downhill putts,” Harrington said. “I was delighted there on the last hole, that it was 8 feet uphill, I said, ‘Thankfully.’ The greens really were tricky in the wind … I feel like I’m playing good. When I’m hitting the ball well, it allows me more time to go home and practice on my wedge play, because I get a lot of wedges … it’s never easy with all the wedges, but that’s for me the focus, especially out here, is just being really good with my wedges.

“This is a perfect golf course (for me) … I can open my shoulders, hit my driver most of the time, and it gave me a big advantage this week, especially in the wind today.”

Steven Alker remains atop the season-long Charles Schwab Cup standings through five events, with the top four rounded out by Stephen Ames, Joe Durant and Ricardo Gonzalez. The Champions Tour will stay in California next week for The Galleri Classic at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.

Korn Announces Massive 2024 North American Tour to Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Their Iconic Debut Album

The nu metal band's self-titled, debut studio album turns 30 this October

Korn is hitting the road in celebration of a huge milestone.

On Tuesday, the legendary nu metal band announced that they're setting out on a massive North American tour in 2024 to coincide with their self-titled, debut studio album turning 30 on Oct. 11.

The group will be playing 25 dates at arenas and amphitheaters across the U.S. and Canada throughout the fall. They'll also be bringing along fellow metal stars on the road, including the Grammy-nominated French group Gojira and Canada's Spiritbox .

The "Freak on a Leash" band will kick off their live dates on Sept. 12 with a show in Tampa, Florida. They'll make stops in major cities like Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix and Houston, before eventually wrapping up with a final show in St. Paul, Minnesota on Oct. 27.

Paul Archuleta/WireImage

The Grammy winners confirmed their string of shows several weeks after they announced a special, 30th anniversary show. At the time, the group — fronted by Jonathan Davis — revealed that they were playing a single concert at Los Angeles' BMO Stadium on Oct. 5.

Korn took to social media to tease the gig with a trailer featuring footage from some of their most iconic music videos dating back to the '90s to get fans excited and show how far they've come. They also revealed that the show would feature an A-list lineup of supporting talent, including Evanescence , Daron Malakian , Scars On Broadway , Vended , as well as their tourmates Gojira and Spiritbox.

"Celebrating 30 years of #KORN," the "Coming Undone" group wrote in the caption. "Join us at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for this historic, once in a lifetime event."

Fans proceeded to sell out the L.A. anniversary show, shortly after it was announced.

Korn was originally formed in 1993 by Davis, 53, guitarists Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Shaffer, bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and drummer David Silveria — all of whom remain in the band's lineup today, save for Silveria, who was eventually replaced by Ray Luzier.

One year after their formation, the California-bred band released their debut studio album, which featured songs like "Blind" and "Need To" and helped to pioneer the nu metal genre. Although the rockers found more commercial success with their sophomore release, 1996's Life Is Peachy , their debut established them as sonic purveyors and inspired a handful of other acts who followed and exuded a similar heavy, hip-hop-inspired rock sound.

Live Nation

Korn last released a full-length LP with 2022's Requiem , their 14th studio effort. The project debuted at 14 on the Billboard 200 .

The "Falling Away from Me" band is hitting the road shortly after Welch, 53, founded  Atlantic Behavioral Health , a treatment center that provides intensive outpatient treatment in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

In late 2023, the musician announced he was launching the facility — which addresses anxiety, depression, and various mental health disorders through individual and group therapy and medication management in an outpatient program — due to his own experiences dealing with depression.

Tickets for Korn's 2024 tour will kick off with a presale for Citi cardmembers, running now until Thursday at 10 p.m. local time. The artist presale also began today, which fans can gain access to on the band's website .

General ticket sales commence on Friday at 10 a.m. local time on ticketmaster.com .

However, rather than just walk the walk, Hawk also talks the talk now.

Along with fellow extreme pioneer and Bones Brigade member Rodney Mullen, he’s embarking on a two-show ‘ Darkslides and Secret Tapes Tour’ where the pair will stop into New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Thursday, April 4 and Austin’s Moody Theater on Sunday, April 7.

“I’ve been friends with Rodney for 40 years, and I feel like we each bring a very different perspective on our careers and our success,” Hawk explained.

“He lived on a farm in Florida and grew up skating on a concrete pad. I lived in the surf culture of Southern California and started skating because my brother was a surfer but we found ourselves with kind of the same trajectory and motivations.”

At both shows, the legendary duo will chat and share rarely-seen videos.

“We have a lot of historical footage and stuff that was documented when we were kids and stuff that we didn’t realize at the time but were milestones of our sport,” Hawk said.

“You’ll see Rodney’s first kickflips, my first aerials and spins. Some of it is floating around the Internet, but you can’t find it all in one cohesive place like we’re going to show it.”

They will also answer questions from the audience.

“That’ll probably be some of the most fun stuff because it’s so spontaneous and off the cuff and we don’t have canned, rehearsed answers for what people are going to ask us.”

And while it’s not scripted Tony would love for someone to inquire about Mullen’s recent surgery.

“It’s no secret Rodney recently had a double hip replacement and he just started skating again,” Tony shared. “I want to know what he’s doing. Has he done a kickflip yet?”

Want to see Birdman and Mutt chop it up live?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen’s 2024 ‘Darkslides and Secret Tapes Tour’ below.

This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity.

Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen 2024 tour schedule

A complete calendar of all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found here:

There may be more shows if these gigs go over well.

“We’re hoping to establish this as a format and then go forward with a lot of cities,” Hawk pointed out. “This is all very much an experiment. Every time I talk to Rodney on the phone, which has been a lot in the last week, we get more excited about it. So I have a good feeling.”

Rodney Mullen story

While chatting, Hawk dropped a story about Mullen from long ago.

“When we were Bones Brigade rookies, Stacy Peralta lived in Santa Monica, so we would stay with him,” Hawk began. “One night, he took us out to eat in Westwood, which is where movies premiere and in the ’80s was kind of a hot spot.”

“There are street performers there,” he continued. “We parked kind of far away from the restaurant because there was no parking and we skated. Rodney started doing his usual amazing tricks. Suddenly, this huge crowd gathered around him and started leaving the other street performers to watch Rodney.”

“People started throwing money at him,” Hawk laughed. “Then, one of the street performers came over and chewed him out. That was the end of Rodney’s show.”

“We were all of 13.”

Tony Hawk on “Saturday Night Live”

In January 2023, “White Lotus” star Aubrey Plaza hosted with musical guest Sam Smith.

Tony Hawk was there, too.

The night’s first sketch, “Miss Universe,” featured Hawk and The Property Brothers as judges in a parody of the beauty contest where they “rank women based on looks” as Kenan Thompson quipped in the sketch.

True to form, Hawk had fun with his role and screamed all his lines.

“In the original script, it was literally me saying my name,” Hawk noted. “I just went with it. During rehearsal, I improvised a new line and they loved it.”

“Lorne was like ‘We’re going to keep Tony’s new line in there.’ Next thing I know, I’ve got an extra line or two. But after that, I understood how the sausage is made and how some things don’t work in rehearsals. Some things work way better because they riff on it. And that is the that’s the beauty of ‘SNL.'”

You can catch the goofy four-minute sketch here:

Tony Hawk “Masked Singer” appearance

Ever the renaissance man, Hawk appeared on “The Masked Singer” as well.

“They hit me up to do show and I was a little skeptical,” Hawk told us about his February 2020 stint on the show. “Then they started going through a list of potential songs and bands. I thought, ‘That would be pretty cool to sing The Cure.’ I worked with a vocal coach for a few weeks to try and nail the range of that song.”

“My dancing was not the greatest. I think that’s what shut me down. I also think that for that audience The Cure is a bit obscure. They wanted me to do ‘Born to Be Wild,’ and I had both of those in my pocket. And they wanted me to be ‘Born to Be Wild’ first because they thought it was more energetic and the dance was a little more up their alley.”

“But to my own demise, I insisted on The Cure being first.”

Below, you’ll find an unofficial video of the performance.

People recognizing Tony

Outside of skating, Tony Hawk might be most well known for people asking him if he’s…Tony Hawk.

“(It happens) every day,” he chuckled. “It happened yesterday again. I stopped sharing it (on social media) because people think it’s redundant and I’m making it up. I’m just sharing the experience and I think someone will probably think this is funny.”

At coffee shop this morning: Girl behind counter: (not joking) “has anyone told you that you look like Tony Hawk?” Me: yes, so much that I sometimes write about it. Her: haha, here’s your coffee Other girl by exit: (leans toward me as I walk out): “you really do look like him” — Tony Hawk (@tonyhawk) December 10, 2021

“Now it happens almost as much in jest,” he continued. “The meme has formed a life on its own. It drives my daughter crazy if I don’t tell people it’s me. They didn’t ask.”

“It almost feels pretentious (to be) like ‘well, actually, I am.'”

St. Vincent announces ‘All Born Screaming Tour’ with Spoon. Get tickets

The patron saint of indie rock is hitting the road.

St. Vincent just announced she’s swinging into venues all over North America for the ‘All Born Screaming Tour’ in support of her upcoming album with the same name.

Along the way, the “Roslyn” singer who’s sometimes known as Annie Clark will stop into Brooklyn’s newly opened Paramount Theatre for a pair of back-to-back gigs on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Wednesday, Sept. 11.

She’s not going it alone, either.

On select dates, she’ll be joined by iconic acts Spoon , Yves Tumor , Momma,  Eartheater and Dorian Electra.

Can’t wait for the indie event of the summer?

As of now, disciples of St. Vincent can pick up tickets for her concerts and pair of festival appearances.

Although inventory isn’t available for the tour on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 5, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues, and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Over Memorial Day weekend, St. Vincent will headline at Napa, CA’s annual, genre-spanning BottleRock Festival.

Other mega acts set to take the stage this year include  Stevie Nicks ,  Ed Sheeran ,  Norah Jones , Pearl Jam and  Queens of the Stone Age .

If this sounds like the fest for you,  grab BottleRock Festival tickets here .

Right as St. Vincent officially kicks off her tour, she’ll take a quick detour to lend her talents to Carnation, WA’s Thing Festival at Remlinger Farms on Aug. 9-11.

Black Pumas , Toro Y Moi , Spoon , Shakey Graves , and Killer Mike top this year’s impressive bill.

Click here to grab single and multi-day passes for the “eclectic and intimate” fest.

In October 2022, St. Vincent closed her sprawling tour in Las Vegas.

Here’s what she performed at that gig, courtesy of Set List FM .

02.) “Down”

03.) “Birth in Reverse”

04.) “Daddy’s Home”

05.) “Down and Out Downtown”

06.) “New York”

07.) “Los Ageless”

10.) “Cheerleader”

11.) “Fear the Future”

12.) “Year of the Tiger”

13.) “Your Lips Are Red”

14.) “The Melting of the Sun”

Thus far, St. Vincent has dropped two singles ahead of the release of “All Born Screaming.”

First up, she put out the hypnotic “Broken Man,” which pits industrial instrumentals against Clark’s signature raw vocals. The song’s steady build leads to an eruption that will surely be a highlight at upcoming live shows.

Then, she unveiled “Flea” in tandem with the tour announcement. This second track is pure unbridled rock and roll complete with sultry call-and-response vocals.

If you want to catch up with Clark’s music ahead of “All Born Screaming” hitting shelves, you can find the pair of tracks here .

Every show on the run will feature an impressive opening act kicking off the evening festivities.

As a quick reintroduction, here’s each artist’s most-streamed track on Spotify:

Spoon: “Inside Out”

Yves Tumor: “Limerence”

Momma: “Biohazard”

Eartheater: “Supersoaker”

Dorian Electra: “M’lady”

All the comedians to see on tour this spring

Ten stand-up tours guaranteed to make you spit out your drink

Martin Short and Steve Martin attend the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards at Peacock Theater on January 15, 2024

Margaret Cho

Jim gaffigan, steve martin and martin short, john mulaney, wanda sykes, taylor tomlinson.

Anya Jaremko-Greenwold, The Week US

The silly stars of Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building" and a legendary podcast host are just three of the comedians heading to a city near you in the coming months. These 10 stand-up tours are sure to tickle your funny bone this spring.

Queer Korean comic Margaret Cho is not afraid to get political . Her current tour "celebrates my 40 years as a stand-up," Cho said on her website, promising to radiate "rage about homophobia, sexism, racism and the fight to stay alive in a culture that is killing us daily" onstage. " Live & Livid " tour dates are ongoing through December.

Gaffigan's midwestern sensibility and sheepish delivery have always made him extra-relatable. He rose to fame covering family-friendly topics like his kids and his shameful love affair with fast food, from Cinnabon to Subway In his last special, "Dark Pale," Gaffigan showed signs of pushing back "against that vanilla image," said The New York Times . " Barely Alive Tour " dates are ongoing through December.

Kevin Hart recently became the 25th person to win the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, a prestigious honor that is considered a "lifetime achievement award in comedy," The New York Times said. Hart is a household name, having built a veritable empire with successful films, restaurants and media companies . " The Reality Check Tour " dates are ongoing through June.

Koy found himself in hot water while hosting the 2024 Golden Globes, a gig during which he made some widely criticized jokes. (Hosting an awards show is no easy gig — just ask James Franco .) Koy got defensive and blamed his writers. But one bad night does not an entire career make (or break), so perhaps he has a shot at redemption on tour, where he will presumably be in charge of the joke writing. " Jo Koy World Tour " dates are ongoing through November.

The host of the long-running comedy podcast "WTF with Marc Maron" is currently on a 2024 tour, which comes on the heels of last year's HBO special "From Bleak to Dark." There, the "typically cantankerous stand-up turn[ed] toward grace," said Vulture , discussing the unexpected death of his partner from leukemia during the pandemic's early days. " All In Tour " dates are ongoing through November.

If you love watching comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin on Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building," now is your chance to catch the dynamic duo together in the flesh. The tour's description promises the hosts will "make each other laugh as much as the audience," mocking Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity — but the comedy "truly soars when they lovingly (and relentlessly) roast each other." These two met on the set of the 1986 film "Three Amigos" and have now been friends for almost forty years. " The Dukes of Funnytown! " tour will commence on May 3 in Syracuse, NY.

Simultaneously unassuming and flamboyant, Mulaney has skyrocketed to fame over the last decade. His material ranges from childhood anecdotes to overcoming addiction to his two-year-old son, Malcolm. And his charisma is so convincing, people were clamoring for him to host next year's Oscars after a short presenting stint at this year's. There are only two dates left on this tour — so get tickets while you can. " John Mulaney in Concert " runs through May 4.

The Emmy-winning veteran stand-up recently began her first major tour in six years. Her latest Netflix special, "I'm an Entertainer," came out in May 2023 and detailed "some of the most hot button topics of the pandemic era," including "the Jan. 6 insurrection, the importance of trans rights and the murder of Black Americans like George Floyd ," said Variety . " Please & Thank You " tour dates are ongoing through June.

This fresh-faced comic provides particular insight into the " millennial struggle ," making light of app dating, mental health and religious guilt. "Tomlinson has developed one of the smoothest, most conversational deliveries in stand-up comedy, continually honing a more and more relatable act," said Forbes . " Have It All " tour dates resume April 19 and are ongoing through September.

Ali Wong became the first woman of Asian descent to win a lead acting Emmy this year for her work in "Beef," a dark comedy from Netflix and A24. Now, she's back on the road and full of unapologetic (and sexually explicit) jokes about everything from race to feminism to her divorce .  " Ali Wong: Live " is ongoing through May 12.
