The Renaissance has begun. Beyoncé has stayed incredibly quiet since releasing her critically lauded seventh studio album last summer and now, devout members of the Beyhive are finally able to witness songs such as “Break My Soul,” “Cuff It,” and “Virgo’s Groove” live. Bey opened her first show in a custom shimmering, metallic suit courtesy of Alexander McQueen while she thanked everyone in the crowd who traveled from all over the world to be with her for the tour’s opening night. “You could have been anywhere in the world tonight, but you choose to be here with me,” she said to the crowd after taking the stage. It’s safe to say fans across the world will continue to show up for Queen Bey as the tour progresses from now until the fall. Ahead, see all of the photos from the ongoing Renaissance World Tour.

Beyonce Confirms ‘Renaissance’ World Tour & Prepares To Hit The Road For 1st Time In 5 Years
Queen B will set out on a tour across the globe after her latest album 'Renaissance' was one of the biggest albums of the year.
The wait is over! Beyonce confirmed that she’s planning a 2023 world tour in an Instagram post on Wednesday, February 1. The “Break My Soul” singer, 41, shared a photo of a tour poster in the same style as her 2022 record Renaissance on Instagram , captioning it with the exciting announcement. “RENAISSANCE. WORLD TOUR 2023,” she wrote along with the photo.
Bey will hit the road beginning in May, and the tour will take her across Europe and North America. She listed the dates on her website . She’ll kick off the run in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10. The singer will end the European run on June 27 in Warsaw, Poland, but will only take a short break before the next leg begins in Toronto, Canada on July 8. The run will conclude on September 27 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Here are all the details you need about the upcoming tour.
When was Beyonce’s last tour?
The Renaissance tour will mark the singer’s first outing since her 2018 “On The Run II” tour alongside her husband Jay-Z. The co-headlining run came for the pair to promote their 2018 collaborative record Everything Is Love , which they released under the name The Carters. The 48-show tour saw the two superstars bring their show to Europe and North America, beginning in Cardiff, Wales, and ending in Seattle, Washington.
The tour will also mark her first solo run since her epic 2018 headlining performance at Coachella, which was released as a live album and concert film Homecoming . Prior to the music festival performance, Bey’s last solo tour was the “Formation” world tour in 2016.
Ahead of the tour announcement, Beyonce did perform a special one-off concert at the luxury hotel Atlantis The Royal in Dubai in January. The 17-song private event was divided into three acts and had songs spanning her career and perhaps was a preview of what fans could expect on the tour.
Tickets & Presale
Ticket sales will begin on Monday, February 6 on Ticketmaster , per a press release from Live Nation. Fans can register for the “Verified Fan” presale now through Live Nation. There will also be Citi and Verizion Up presales for the concert event.
The tour will span over 40 dates in major cities across the United States and Europe. Here are The ‘Renaissance’ World Tour 2023 dates.

Beyoncé Transcends Time and Space in New 'Renaissance' Concert Film Poster
Queen Bey is bringing the Renaissance tour to theaters in December.
Parkwood Entertainment’s Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé , which is gearing up to hit cinemas all over the world on December 1, 2023, has unveiled a new poster. Beyoncé can be seen rocking her celestial, futuristic outfit with a demeanor that resembles Guardian of the Galaxy ’s Gamora . The concert film will first premiere in Los Angeles on November 25 and in London on November 30 before hitting movie theaters around the world on December 1.
Tickets will be available from November 9 in most international markets. For North American fans, the ticket windows are already open — seats can be secured starting at $22 plus tax, and you can check your local theater or find where to watch the film on Beyoncé's website to purchase your tickets. Arriving right after Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour , the concert film is highly anticipated. The legendary tour spanned 56 shows across 39 cities and 12 countries — taking off in Stockholm and ending in Kansas City.
The film "accentuates the journey of the Renaissance World Tour, from its inception," and details the “Crazy in Love” singer’s unwavering dedication, creative spirit, and her legacy. The Renaissance World Tour has attracted millions of people for what the franchise is now calling “a global sanctuary for freedom and shared joy” which resonates with her millions of fans.
Beyoncé and Taylor Swift Are Bringing Concert Films a New Level of Success
Earlier this year, Swift's Eras Tour movie landed historic pre-sale records at AMC and has seen incredible box office returns since its debut on October 12. Now Beyoncé's Renaissance Tour is set to continue the revolution of concert films when it hits the big screen later this year. Beyoncé's latest world tour grossed over $579 million across 56 stops and reached an estimated 2.7 million fans, and the first-day pre-sales of the movie generated an impressive $6 million.
Beyoncé has also previously released her Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé on Netflix which you can stream right now while you wait for Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé to arrive in U.S. theaters on December 1 . Check out the new poster of the concert film below.
What To Expect From Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour
The stadium tour kicks off in May in cities across Europe and the U.S.
Get ready for your soul (or at least your bank account) to be broken . Queen Bey is coming to a city near you soon. More than six months after releasing Renaissance , her first solo studio album in six years, Beyoncé finally announced the Renaissance World Tour , sharing the poster on Instagram and posting the tour dates on her website on Feb. 1. The stadium jaunt will kick off in May in Sweden, with dates currently confirmed across Europe and North America.
The Renaissance World Tour will mark Beyoncé’s first live shows in five years — aside from the extravagant private show she played in Dubai on Jan. 21 for the grand re-opening of the Atlantis resort, for which she was reportedly paid around $24 million . Naturally, demand has proven to be enormous, leading Bey to add more shows across the U.S. and Europe. She last co-headlined the On The Run II Tour with her husband Jay-Z in 2018. The singer was rumored to have planned a tour in 2020 to promote The Lion King: The Gift and its accompanying Black Is King film , but dates were inevitably scrapped due to lockdown. Her last solo outing was the Formation World Tour in 2016.

In October, the “CUFF IT” singer indicated — in a very low-key way — that she would embark on a 2023 world tour to promote her seventh studio album . At the inaugural Wearable Art Gala, the 28-time Grammy winner auctioned off a “UNIQUE opportunity,” referencing her fan-favorite track “ALIEN SUPERSTAR,” to see one of her upcoming shows. The listing confirms that the Renaissance tour will kick off in the summer of 2023, calling it “one of the most sought-after musical performances of all time” and assuring international fans that Bey will take the tour worldwide.
That VIP package included two concert tickets, first-class airfare to select cities, a three-night hotel stay, and to top it off, a guided backstage tour from Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson. According to Variety , the winning bidder paid between $45,000 and $50,000 for the honor of seeing Bey. Thankfully, this did not indicate the price range for normal Renaissance tour tickets.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Renaissance World Tour.
Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour Dates
The Renaissance World Tour will kick off on May 10 in Sweden and take Beyoncé to 14 cities across the UK and Europe before heading to the U.S. and Canada. The North American leg will start on July 8 in Toronto and conclude nearly three months later in New Orleans. Demand for tickets ended up being so big that Beyoncé added multiple dates across both continents. On Feb. 2, she announced second shows in several U.S. cities , and added multiple dates across the UK and Europe on Feb. 7, including a total of five shows in London alone.

How To Buy Renaissance Tour Tickets
Like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour , fans will need to register with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program to buy tickets to the Renaissance World Tour. BeyHive subscribers can register for their own Verified Fan presale, which comes first, while Citi cardmembers will also have a separate presale before the general Verified Fan onsale. The shows have been divided into Groups A, B, and C, which all have different registration periods and presale dates. Therefore, not all shows will go on sale at once, decreasing the chances of the traffic jams that happened for Swift’s Eras Tour .
That said, huge traffic and long virtual queues are still expected, as Ticketmaster announced the day after the tour announcement that the number of Verified Fan registrations exceeded the number of tickets available by nearly 800%. For cities in Group A, the BeyHive presale will begin on Feb. 6, with the Citi presale happening the next day and the general Verified Fan onsale being held on Feb. 11. The presales for Group B will be held the following week, and tickets for Group C shows will go on sale the week after. Originally, fans had until Feb. 2 to register for Group A shows, Feb. 9 for Group B, and Feb. 16 for Group C. But due to the demand, Ticketmaster ended up cutting off registration for all shows on Feb. 5.

The announcement photo may look familiar to fans, as she donned the same glittery attire on the cover of her seventh studio album. Bey also added “Renaissance World Tour” on her Instagram bio, further accenting the news. Last week, Beyonce performed a full concert for the first time in four years at a luxury resort in Dubai in front of influencers and journalists. The 19-song set included a collaboration with her oldest daughter Blue Ivy as the two performed “Brown Skin Girl,” which earned them a Grammy two years ago for best music video.
Crowned a triumphant win by music lovers, Renaissance stormed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last year and rattled off two Hot 100 top 10 hits, including her chart-topper “Break My Soul.” The dance-centric album also notched nine Grammy nominations, the most for any nominee for this year’s ceremony. Bey is looking to rack up more trophy wins, as she currently sits at a staggering 28 wins. Nominated for album of the year, song, and record of the year, Bey is facing some stout competition , especially in the former. The R&B juggernaut will tango against Adele, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, and more for album of the year. A win in this category would serve as Beyonce’s first. The 65th Grammy Awards will occur Sunday night in Los Angeles at 8 pm EST.

Howdy, “Cowboy Carter.”
Almost two years after Beyoncé ushered fans into her glitzy disco “ Renaissance ,” the countdown for her latest album is finally on. “Cowboy Carter,” the second act of the pop diva’s promised “Renaissance” trilogy, lands later this week — and with it, a bounty of material for the Beyhive.
Beyoncé enters her “Cowboy Carter” era months after revealing the new album, and dropping two singles, during Super Bowl LVIII in February. Since then, the 32-time Grammy winner has shared several album images , topped Billboard’s country-music chart , dropped “Cowboy Carter” merchandise and more.
In a rare post directly addressing fans, Beyoncé revealed that “Cowboy Carter” has been in the works for more than five years.
“I focused on this album as a continuation of RENAISSANCE … I hope this music is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop,” she wrote.
With mere days to go before “Cowboy Carter” arrives, here’s what we know so far about Beyoncé’s newest release — from its track list to the merchandise drop.
Beyoncé announces her new album is on the way: Hear two songs now
Beyoncé revealed Sunday night during the Super Bowl that the second act of her promised “Renaissance” trilogy is on the way.

When does ‘Cowboy Carter’ come out?
“Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé’s eighth studio album, is set to drop at 9 p.m. Pacific on Thursday.
The superstar, 42, announced her album’s release date on Super Bowl Sunday with a video promoting the single “Texas Hold ‘Em.” The clip briefly read, “act ii 3.29.” Beyoncé’s big game announcement was met with shock on social media. Celebrity fans, including Issa Rae, Queen Latifah, Lil Nas X, Ziwe and Brandi Carlile, voiced their excitement in the Instagram comments.
“Herstory!!!!!!,” Ziwe wrote.
“WHAT,” Rae commented.
Country music star Carlile said, “Omg she’s swimming out to save country.”
Beyoncé: Upcoming release ‘ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album’
Beyoncé is being very clear about her messaging on her ‘Cowboy Carter’ album: ‘This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album.’
March 19, 2024
Is ‘Cowboy Carter’ a country album?
No. Take it from Beyoncé herself.
Upon revealing the album’s name and sharing the album art, the singer declared : “This ain’t a Country album. This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album.” She wrote in an Instagram missive that “Cowboy Carter” originated from an experience “where I did not feel welcomed ... and it was very clear that I wasn’t.”
The “Break My Soul” singer did not share more details about her experience but said it prompted her to take “a deeper dive into the history of Country music,” where she “studied our rich musical archive.”
“It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world,” she wrote, “while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”
Despite her message, Beyoncé’s twangy “Cowboy Carter” singles “Texas Hold ’Em” and “16 Carriages” climbed up Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart upon release. “Texas Hold ’Em” has secured the No. 1 spot since its release, while the slower “16 Carriages” cracked the Top 10 in February.

How many songs on ‘Cowboy Carter?’ Any guest artists?
Beyoncé finally released what seems to be a tracklist for “Cowboy Carter” on Wednesday, after keeping song details and potential guest artists under tight lock and key for weeks.
In a rodeo-inspired poster shared to her website and social media pages , Queen Bey listed the following:
- “American Requiem”
- “Blackbird”
- “16 Carriages”
- “Protector”
- “Smoke Hour Willie Nelson”
- “Texas Hold ‘Em”
- “Bodyguard”
- “Spaghetti”
- “Alligator Tears”
- “Smoke Hour II”
- “Just for Fun”
- “II Most Wanted”
- “Levii’s Jeans”
- “The Linda Martell Show”
- “Oh Louisiana”
- “Desert Eagle”
- “Riverdance”
- “II Hands II Heaven”
- “Sweet Honey Buckin’”
It’s unclear whether “Dolly P,” “Smoke Hour Willie Nelson” and “The Linda Martell Show” mean the country music icons will be among the album’s guest artists, but Wednesday’s update does confirm that “Cowboy Carter” will feature Beyoncé’s own take the Dolly Parton classic, “Jolene.” The country music darling previously teased the cover in an interview with the Knox News Sentinel earlier this month.
Before her reveal on Wednesday, Beyoncé told fans on Instagram that she has a “few surprises” in store for “Cowboy Carter” listeners and “collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect,” but didn’t list any names.
“I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound,” she added.

Beyoncé’s ‘Jolene’ cover may be on the way, Dolly Parton shares: ‘I’m very excited’
It seems the Dolly Parton classic ‘Jolene’ might be getting new life on Beyoncé’s new album. Parton revealed in a recent interview she’s ‘very excited’ about the cover.
March 12, 2024
Is there ‘Cowboy Carter’ merchandise?
Yes, and it all can be found in Beyoncé’s online shop .
Currently, the Beyhive can shop for limited-edition CDs, vinyls (in red, white, blue and black) and box sets that include a white T-shirt with a red or black photo of Beyoncé, a CD with a limited-edition cover and a “unique back image” from her various “Cowboy Carter” shoots.
Most items in the current merch drop tout an image of the “Hustler” singer adding her own twist to the Statue of Liberty and its signature raised-arm pose. With long, beaded braids, Beyoncé holds a smoky cigar in her right hand, covers her chest with her left hand and poses in the nude, with a sash reading “act ii Beyincé” the only thing covering her body.
ICYMI: The sash’s “Beyincé” is not a typo, but rather a nod to an alternate spelling of Beyoncé’s mother‘s family name.
Beyoncé’s ‘Beyincé’ sash is no mere typo: Tina Knowles offered an explanation years ago
Tina Knowles has explained that ‘Beyincé,’ the name emblazoned on daughter Beyonce’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ sash, traces back to her loved ones’ birth certificates.

How can I listen to the new album?
“Cowboy Carter” won’t drop until Thursday evening for West Coast listeners, but in the meantime, Beyoncé fans can take steps to ensure they won’t miss a beat.
Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal users can pre-save “Cowboy Carter” via Beyoncé’s website . After that, they’ll just need patience until Thursday night, when they can finally get down, down, down .

Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’: Rounding up the latest on the new album
Seeing Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ film? Here is our list of do’s and don’ts.
Bey’s record-breaking concert tour is hitting the big screen. here’s everything you need to know for the best movie experience..
The dance party of the summer belonged to Beyoncé and her history-making Renaissance World Tour. Each concert was an extravagant, futuristic spectacle: a resplendent three-hour disco alien-cowboy convention in the year 3000, helmed by a global icon who makes other stars star-struck.
The Style section
This December, your local cinema belongs to Beyoncé, too, as she brings her Renaissance tour documentary to theaters. “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will be released widely Friday, Dec. 1 — though some theaters will have showings Thursday — allowing fans to relive their concert experience or step into Queen Bey’s jubilee for the first time.
Clocking in at 2 hours and 48 minutes, “Renaissance” is more than a concert movie; Beyoncé narrates the making of the tour, and there’s behind-the-scenes footage and candid family moments. (Beyoncé is credited as “director, producer & creative director” of the film.)
Whether you’re a tenured member of the Beyhive or a “House of Chrome” plus-one, here are some tips to help you achieve your most opulent “Renaissance” experience.
Do plan to shell out more
U.S. prices for “Renaissance” start at $22 and could go as high as $32 for premium theater experiences, such as Imax screens or Dolby Cinema. These prices are considerably higher than the average movie ticket (which, according to CNBC , was $11.29 in 2022 for standard formats and $15.92 for premium screens). Plus, with the film clocking in at nearly three hours, you’re probably going to need some snacks.
Don’t expect ‘visuals’
Since the “Renaissance” album dropped in July 2022 , the Beyhive has been tapping its feet waiting for music videos to accompany the songs. After all, Beyoncé’s ability to marry her music with compelling images has been a hallmark of her career: Her self-titled album, “Lemonade” and “Black Is King” have all been accompanied with highly produced visual albums. So when the “Renaissance” film was announced, fans buzzed about the possibility of seeing some long-awaited music video footage — a.k.a. “visuals” — mixed into the documentary.
Alas, there are none. At least, not in this film.
Do come in your chromed-out best
Dressing to theme has been, well, a theme at the movies this year. (See this summer’s Barbenheimer phenomenon, when audience members came decked out in hot pink, loud prints and, occasionally, a porkpie hat.) The “Renaissance” film may set an even higher bar.
Dubbed by Queen Bey as the “House of Chrome,” the tour was a sumptuous, sterling spectacle , with Beyoncé herself imploring fans to wear their “ most fabulous silver fashions ” for dates toward the end of the tour: “We’ll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night.”
So don’t be afraid to tap into that energy. We’re talking sheer silver mesh and cowboy boots, glittery chaps and high-shine leather, fringe and crystals, and fringe made out of crystals. (If you need a refresher, we have a lookbook from Beyoncé’s D.C. dates for inspo .) Or, take a cue from Queen Bey’s dress code from her L.A. film premiere and aim for “cozy opulence.”
As for the looks onstage , you can expect to see costumes designed by Balmain, Mugler, Gucci, Loewe and Beyoncé herself.
Don’t rock that 10-gallon hat
We get it. Beyoncé, a native Houstonite, loves a cowboy moment. But it is still a movie theater, and the people behind and beside you have a film they paid at least $22 to see. Leave the wide-brim “Formation”-era hats and LED belts at home.
Do get loose
Just as with the Taylor Swift’s “Eras” film, movie theaters have relaxed some of their rules to accommodate fans who want to relive a bit of that live concert experience. Alamo Drafthouse described its upcoming screenings as a “joyous celebration of Beyoncé with singing and dancing.” And, according to the New York Times , almost every song performed from the concert is included in the film, including two that were rarely performed on the tour: “All Up in Your Mind” and “Thique.” So if you want to boogie down a bit in your seat — or see how high you can get when “Love on Top” comes on — this may be your moment.
Sharp. Witty. Thoughtful. Sign up for the Style Memo newsletter.
Don’t get carried away
But you need to read the room. After all, not every Swiftie (or Swiftie plus-one) appreciated the concert vibe , with fans reportedly singing so loudly that other moviegoers said they couldn’t hear Swift herself.
And unlike “Eras,” the “Renaissance” film won’t just focus on the action onstage. As with “Homecoming,” Beyoncé’s 2019 concert film, “Renaissance” splices Bey’s concert performances with voice-overs and behind-the-scenes vignettes. This includes segments on the 42-year-old pop star’s knee injury, her late Uncle Johnny (whose name became a popular refrain on “Heated”) and a blink-and-you’ll-might-miss-it scene of Beyoncé reuniting with Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson in Houston.
Do snag your merch early
If you score a ticket for opening weekend, you may be first in line to get some limited-edition merch. AMC, the film’s distributor, is offering a free mini “Renaissance” poster to all opening-weekend attendees while supplies last — and during the “Eras” film run, supplies certainly did not last . So whether you want a collectible cup, a popcorn bucket or some other shiny Beyoncé bauble (Alamo Drafthouse has teased an exclusive “concert kit” for moviegoers), try to get there early.
Don’t disrespect the ‘mute’ challenge
If you’re in a particularly rowdy screening, you can probably expect to relive the “mute” challenge, one of the tour’s most viral moments on social media.
The bit comes during Beyoncé’s performance of “Energy,” after she sings: “Look around, everybody on mute.” Everyone onstage, including Beyoncé, stops moving and goes silent for a few beats, as does the crowd. When done right, you could hear a pin drop — a quietly thrilling moment in a sea of 50,000-plus fans. The cheering isn’t supposed to start until Beyoncé picks up the song again.
It’s pretty simple to play along. Just don’t let your intrusive thoughts win.
Do cheer for Blue Ivy
Blue Ivy’s guest performances were a highlight of the tour, and you can expect the 11-year-old to steal some scenes in the film as well.
Both Jay-Z (Blue Ivy’s dad) and Tina Knowles (Blue Ivy’s grandmother) have shared the origin story of these performances recently: Blue Ivy wanted to dance onstage, Beyoncé shot it down, Blue Ivy persisted, Beyoncé relented. But the film offers a look at these moments through Beyoncé’s eyes — her doubts and her pride as her daughter commits to proving herself onstage — as well as candid moments, the kind that help bring a singular superstar back down to earth.

Beyoncé Releases New Album Cowboy Carter: Listen and Read the Full Credits
Beyoncé ’s rootsy era is officially under way: Her new album, Cowboy Carter , is out now, and you can check it out below. The mammoth, 27-track record features a cover of the Dolly Parton classic “Jolene,” as well as brief appearances from country great Willie Nelson on the “Smoke Hour” interludes. Parton appears, too, on “Dolly P.” A promotional poster that Beyoncé shared on social media, titled Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit , alludes to the venue circuit where Black entertainers could tour during the Jim Crow era.
Additional guests on Cowboy Carter include Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, and “Buckle Bunny” singer Tanner Adell, the latter of whom is on “Blackbiird”—a cover of the Beatles’ “Blackbird.” Writing the White Album song in 1968, Paul McCartney was inspired by the Little Rock Nine.
Along with her faithful covers of “Blackbird” and “Jolene,” Beyoncé interpolates the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations” and Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces” on the album.
Cowboy Carter includes the singles “ 16 Carriages ” and “ Texas Hold ’Em ,” the latter of which topped Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to do so. The song was also a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 , becoming Beyoncé’s ninth chart-topper and first since “ Break My Soul .”
Upon announcing the LP , Beyoncé described it as Act II , following the Act I framing of Renaissance . She recently shared the artwork and a note on Cowboy Carter. “This ain’t a Country album,” she said. “This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album.”

Beyoncé Rewrites ‘Jolene’ — And Five Other Takeaways From ‘Cowboy Carter’
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is finally here and fans of both country and pop are poring over the album. While the artist behind it made a point to say, “This ain’t a country album. This is a Beyoncé album,” the record has its share of country songs, sounds, and signifiers. But as with nearly everything she does, Beyoncé makes the genre her own — with captivating results.
There are cameos by country legends, features by genre-flouting pop stars, and introductions to hot new talent. But at the core, Beyoncé is the star of this radio show (more on that below). Here’s six takeaways from one of the most anticipated albums of her career.
“Cowboy Carter” is loosely based around a Beyoncé radio show.
The track “ya ya” nods to tina turner, nancy sinatra, and the beach boys., editor’s picks, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, on “jolene” (beyoncé’s version), a would-be homewrecker better head for the hills..
As soon as “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” made it clear that Beyoncé was recording country music, there were questions about how she might engage with two other women: Namely, Dolly Parton and “Jolene.” Parton added fuel to the fire when she teased that Beyoncé covered her signature song in an interview. That turned out to be mostly true — Her take on “Jolene” is less of a cover than an entire reimagining.
Beyoncé’s become a big fan of a Nigerian American country-bender from Virginia .
Beyoncé fans are not happy that some 'cowboy carter' songs were cut from cd and vinyl, beyonce finds a new freedom and redefines country music on 'cowboy carter' , sarah paulson says she and pedro pascal disagree on who beyoncé blew a kiss to, trump launches another attack on judge's daughter, this time with photos, 'snl' cold open: indicted trump hawks bible complete with miranda rights, jerrod carmichael had a crush on tyler, the creator, so he invited the rapper to the emmy awards, after nearly 16 years, beyoncé and miley cyrus sing together again ., beyoncé addresses her grammy lo sses in a wicked verse..
“Sweet Honey Buckin’” is a riotous celebration of the cowboy culture that made Beyoncé, and much of what she’s made for herself, including a name that transcends ordinary accolades. She seemingly calls out the Grammys directly, after her last three albums failed to win the Album of the Year awards they were nominated for, despite each being a cultural reset. “A-O-T-Y, I ain’t win,” she says plainly toward the end of the song, adding, “Take that shit on the chin/ Come back and fuck up the pen/ Say the things that I know’ll offend/ Wear that shit that I know start a trend.” Sounds more like their loss.
