Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel
A fitting base for your "celebration of roses" event – beverly wilshire, a four seasons hotel.
If the historic Beverly Wilshire looks familiar, it might be for two reasons – its exceptional location and service – or because the hotel was the primary setting for the 1990s hit film "Pretty Woman." Originally built in 1928, the hotel has reinvented itself throughout the decades while retaining its popularity with the ever-changing "in" crowd. Located at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive, you'll spend four nights in what is thought to be the best location in the heart of Beverly Hills – with designer shopping, fine dining and postcard-worthy views at your doorstep.

Travelers without a verified license or ID card will also have the option of showing other identity documents, such as a passport or military ID to board a plane.
If you are a citizen of another country traveling to the U.S., you should contact an embassy or consulate of the U.S. to determine what travel documentation is necessary. You may also log on to the U.S. State Department's Internet site by clicking here .
If you are traveling by air to join and/or depart from this tour within the U.S., please read the section above entitled Airline Security Measures to determine what travel documentation is required.

Include copies of the photo page of your passport that contains the date of issuance, the date of expiration and your citizenship. Secure one set of copies in the safe in your room while traveling and leave one set behind with someone at home who will assist you in the event your documents are misplaced, lost or stolen.

What To Pack
Dress for comfort and convenience with a wardrobe that is flexible and allows for layering. Casual, cotton resort wear is suggested. For the New Year's Eve Gala event, you may wish to dress up a bit – jacket and tie for men, casually-elegant outfit for ladies - but by all means be comfortable. A light jacket or sweater for late evenings or early mornings is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes that have already been broken-in are advisable.
Bathrobes and hairdryers are provided in each hotel room.
We recommend that you pack an adequate supply of your prescription medication in its original container to last through the entire event, together with a copy of your doctor's prescription (or a letter from your health-care provider on office stationery explaining that the medication has been prescribed for you), a list of the generic names of your medication, your travel documents and a change of clothing in your carry-on bag to avoid any inconvenience in the event that your flight or luggage is delayed.
Following is a list of recommended items to pack for the Celebration of Roses Event:
- Jacket and tie for men
- Casually-elegant outfit for ladies
- Casual daytime wear – shorts, slacks, long and short-sleeved shirts
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat
- A light sweater or jacket for cloudy weather or a breezy night
- Binoculars (7x50 preferably)
- Insect repellent
- Camera, lenses, batteries, memory cards and chargers
- Lightweight, comfortable, sturdy walking shoes that have already been broken-in
- Travel alarm clock/cell phone with alarm functions (many hotels do not have clocks in the rooms)
- Reusable zipper lock bags or other waterproof bags
- Rain poncho and collapsible umbrella
- Daypack for camera equipment
- Sundries and toiletries that may be difficult to find en route
- Copies of your travel documents that should be secured in the safe in your hotel room while traveling
Air Information and Luggage Restrictions
Checked Luggage – General
Due to space restrictions, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one suitcase per person weighing no more than 50 pounds (23 kg) and with overall dimensions (length + width + height) not exceeding 62 inches (158 cm).
Besides complying with the Tauck restriction noted above, you should also be sure to research and comply with all airline baggage restrictions relating to your flights to and from your Tauck journey. Airlines have become much more strict in enforcing size and weight limits in recent years, and luggage exceeding airline standards for size or weight may result in expensive overage fees or other consequences.
Airlines are free to revise luggage policies without notice, and certain airlines have different baggage allowances for different classes of service. Researching and complying with airline luggage restrictions is the responsibility of the guest, and Tauck cannot be held responsible for any costs or disruptions to travel caused by the failure to research and comply with airline policies.
Please be sure to attach your Tauck luggage tag to your suitcase before leaving home!
Carry-on Luggage - General
Although oversize bags and wheeled, carry-on luggage are popular for airline travel, they are often not convenient or appropriate for motor coach travel or for many on-tour flights. Most modern sightseeing motor coaches offer limited space for numerous or larger items. Space under seats or in the overhead rack is typically small, and designed to accommodate items like coats, hats, purses, and small camera bags, etc.
For your day-to-day travel while on tour, we recommend that you limit your hand luggage to a small, soft-sided carry-on piece, and that you bring only those items you need handy during the day such as make-up, medications, cameras, film, etc. Items too large to fit under the motor coach seat or on the overhead rack must be stored in the luggage bays beneath the motor coach, and may be inaccessible during daytime travel.

The 136th Rose Parade and More!
Ring in the New Year Exploring the Best of LA, Plus Reserved Seating on the Rose Parade Route
- Description
- Dates/Prices
- Helpful Info
Stop and smell the roses at the 136th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California! Always a favorite, this tour highlights a behind-the-scenes look at the fantastic Rose float construction, reserved seating at the Rose Parade, a Warner Brothers Studio Tour and a visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library!
A Premiere Bucket List Event!
For millions of people around the world, the Rose Parade is an iconic New Year’s Day tradition. The Rose Parade travels 5 ½ miles down Colorado Blvd. and features four types of entries: floraldecorated floats entered by a participating corporation, non-profit organization or municipality, equestrian units, bands, and Tournament Entries. Rose Parade participants have long histories with the Tournament of Roses and keep the traditions alive. The earliest Tournament of Roses welcomed 3,000 spectators to its first parade filled with beautiful, horsedrawn carriages covered in flowers. More than a century later, the parade floats are a marvel of state of the art technology, all tucked away beneath flowers and other all-natural materials.
A History of the Tournament of Roses
In 1890, Valley Hunt Club members, led by Charles Frederick Holder, sponsored the first Tournament of Roses. The abundance of flowers, even in the midst of winter, prompted the club to add a parade before the competition, where entrants would decorate carriages with hundreds of colorful blooms.
“In New York, people are buried in snow,” announced Professor Charles F. Holder at a Club meeting. “Here our flowers are blooming and our oranges are about to bear. Let’s hold a festival to tell the world about our paradise.”
More than a century later, the parade floats are a marvel of state of the art technology, all tucked away beneath flowers and other all-natural materials. Every New Year, visitors experience the beauty of the floral floats along with spirited marching bands and high-stepping equestrian units along the 5 1⁄2 mile route down Colorado Boulevard.
The Great Rose Bowl Hoax
The Great Rose Bowl Hoax was a prank at the 1961 Rose Bowl, an annual American college football bowl game. That year, the Washington Huskies were pitted against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. At halftime, the Huskies led 17–0, and their cheerleaders took the field to lead the spectators in the stands in a card stunt, a routine involving flip-cards depicting various images for the audience to raise. However, students from the California Institute of Technology managed to alter the card stunt shown during the halftime break, by making the Washington fans inadvertently spell out CALTECH.
The prank has been described as the “greatest collegiate prank of all time” and received national attention, as the game was broadcast to an estimated 30 million viewers across the United States by NBC. One author wrote, “Few college pranks can be said to be more grandly conceived, carefully planned, flawlessly executed, and publicly dramatic” than the Great Rose Bowl Hoax.

Make sure you have comfortable shoes! This tour requires a lot of walking.
Orange luggage tags are provided and are to be placed on your “checked luggage” (large bag). You do not need a tag for your carry-on bag, for which you will be responsible for taking on and off the coach. There is limited space in the cabin of the coach, so unless you require your carry-on bag while traveling, we will stow it in the luggage compartment.
On the first and last nights of this tour, you are welcome to pack your carry-on bag with essentials that would enable us to leave your “checked bag” on the coach. This will facilitate faster check-in and luggage delivery. This is not a requirement, merely a suggestion; we will deliver your “checked bag” to your room on the first and last night if you desire, just like every other night of the tour.
Important Information
Each reservation requires a $250 per person deposit planning fee (exceptions may apply) to be credited toward your final payment. Some or all of your deposit may be non-refundable per our cancellation schedule noted in these Terms & Conditions below. We are happy to accept cash, check (preferred) or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) for your deposit.
Throughout 2021 we limited capacity on all our tours. This policy was so overwhelmingly popular by Sunrise travelers, we have made it permanent. In 2022 and beyond, we will limit the capacity on our motorcoaches to 80%. Most Sunrise Tours travel on 50-seat coaches with extra legroom, which means guests will enjoy extra legroom AND at least 6-8 empty seats. In the rare cases when we charter a 55-seat coach, there will be at least 10 open seats on the bus.
Our popular on-board refreshment service on travel days will feature a variety of soda, beer, wine spritzers, juices and sparkling water choices served in recyclable aluminum cans. This is a safe and eco-conscious way for us to deliver the ever-popular Sunrise Tours “happy hour” on tour. We do not typically serve bottled water and ask that while on tour you be responsible for your own hydration and consider the Sunrise Tours drink service a welcome refreshment.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.
It appears Tiger Woods is back to full health.
With the Players Championship looming on March 14 at TPC Sawgrass and his status still unclear, Woods will play at the Seminole pro-member tournament at Seminole Golf Club on Monday, weeks after he withdrew from the Genesis Invitational due to the flu.
According to a tee sheet posted by 5 Clubs Golf on Twitter, Woods is scheduled to play with PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh, Justin Thomas and Mike Walrath, CEO of the software company Yext.
The field for the event has some serious star power.
Besides Woods, a 15-time major championship winner, Rory McIlroy and his father Gerry are on the sheet, along with Tom Brady, Seminoles Golf Club president and PGA Tour policy board independent director Jimmy Dunne III, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, LPGA star Nelly Korda, and PGA Tour players Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Colin Morikawa and Cameron Young.
The field does not include any LIV Golf League players.
On Feb. 16, Woods withdrew from the second round of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club because of the flu.
He received IV bags and was treated by physicians at the club. Woods was making his first start in an official PGA Tour event since he withdrew from the rain-delayed third round at the Masters in April.
Since returning to professional golf after suffering serious injuries in a car accident in February 2021, Woods has withdrawn or missed the cut in four of his six starts. His two finishes were a tie for 45th in the 2023 Genesis Invitational and 47th in the 2022 Masters.
In February, Woods said he wanted to compete in at least one tournament if his body would allow it. It seems his body is allowing him to play Monday at the Seminole pro-member tournament.
As for the Players Championship, which will be played from March 14-17, it remains to be seen whether Woods will be playing, but we’ll know Friday when the field is released.

The Match 2024 golf live stream: How to watch Rory McIlroy, Lexi Thompson, Max Homa and Rose Zhang on TV
For the first time ever, the match will feature both men and women competing against one another.
PGA Tour and LPGA superstars will be featured in the ninth edition of The Match as Rory McIlroy and Max Homa tee it up alongside Lexi Thompson and Rose Zhang in the mixed-skins format. The charity golf exhibition welcomes the four golfers to The Park Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday evening.
Unlike the first eight editions of The Match, this iteration will be the first to feature women and the first to be held at The Park Golf Course; the Wynn in Las Vegas was the unofficial home of exhibition golf. Thompson and Zhang hope to impress in front of McIlroy and Homa, both of whom have experience in these type of events.
McIlroy was featured in The Match 7 with teammate Tiger Wood, but the two ultimately fell to Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth in December 2022. Homa experienced a similar fate when he played in the Netflix Cup this past fall with Formula One driver Alex Albon when Thomas once again came away victorious.
Unlike previous versions of The Match, this one will not feature teams. Instead, the four golfers will compete by themselves across 12 holes of skins hoping to collect the most money for charity along the way.
The Match 9
Viewing information.
Date: Monday, Feb. 26 | Time 6:30 p.m. ET Location: The Park Golf Course — West Palm Beach, Florida Broadcast: TNT | Simulcast : TBS, truTV, HLN | Live stream : Bleacher Report app
The Match will be contested under 12 holes of mixed skins format for the first time ever. Each hole will be worth a specified amount towards charity, with the golfer who raises the most amount by the end of the competition being declared the winner. Players will tee off from the same tee boxes on the four par 3s and use varying tee boxes for the men and women on the remaining holes.
Participants
Rory McIlroy: It has been a bit of an odd season so far for McIlroy, who claimed his fourth Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour in January. Since then, he has struggled with consistency on the PGA Tour, often flashing his brilliance but undoing his efforts with short stretches of poor play. If those types of runs materialize at The Match, they could hinder his chances of winning given the short 12-hole format.
Max Homa: Homa's season has been defined by some good golf but not enough great golf through two months. He has notched three top-20 finishes with his best effort coming in the form of a T13 at the Farmers Insurance Open. Failing to contend in any of the California events or his hometown event, the WM Phoenix Open, Homa heads to the Florida Swing without a ton of momentum. Perhaps this exhibition can get the gears turning as he often thrives in front of an audience.
Lexi Thompson: Thompson has been solid since the Solheim Cup and made her presence known on the PGA Tour at the Shriners Children's Open. Nearly making the cut at the men's event, the American finished her 2023 LPGA season with three straight top-10 finishes. She notched a T6 at the Grant Thornton Invitational alongside Rickie Fowler in December and finished T16 in her lone start of 2024 in large part due to a poor final round.
Rose Zhang: The youngin' of the bunch, Zhang's game and personality will have a chance to shine on the big stage. The 20-year-old teamed up with Sahith Theegala at the Grant Thornton Invitational en route to a T9 result to end a memorable 2023 that included her second straight NCAA championship individual crown, a win at the Augusta National Women's Amateur and a triumph in her first start as a professional on the LPGA.
Picks, odds
Odds via Sportsline consensus
- Rory McIlroy: +185
- Max Homa: +240
- Lexi Thompson: +370
- Rose Zhang: +380
Underdogs have been the way to go in these style of tournaments given the made-for-TV product, so let's rock with Thompson. The putter could pose a problem, but she has ample length off the tee and will be playing from shorter yardages on the par 4s and par 5s than McIlroy and Homa, which should give her a considerable edge.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Hannah Green made a stunning 30-foot birdie at the final hole to clinch a one-stroke victory over Celine Boutier at the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s World Championship on Sunday.
Green made six birdies, three of which came in the final three holes, against one bogey in a final round 67 for a 13-under-par 275 at Sentosa Golf Club.
It was the 27-year-old Australian's fourth LPGA title, and first since the JM Eagle LA Championship last year.
"I knew on the greens I needed to be aggressive and make sure I got the putt past the hole versus leaving them short,” said Green after her dramatic finish.
Boutier (67), who had said on Saturday she was attending Taylor Swift’s Singapore concert as “a nice way to relax” for the final round, seemed destined to win on Sunday as she pulled two strokes clear in the final stages only for Green to produce some magic of her own to take the win.
The 30-year-old Frenchwoman, who won four titles last season including wins at the Women’s Scottish Open and the Evian Championship for her first major title, finished at 12 under-par-276.
Photos You Should See
“I think I played a lot better than yesterday which was really positive. I feel like I made some putts and I gave myself a lot of chances," said Boutier. "So I’m very satisfied with my round and it was great to even have a thought of making it a playoff.”
Yuna Nishimura (66) had the equal-best round of the day as her six birdies in a blemish free final round lifted her to 9-under 279 and into a four-way tie for third with Brooke Henderson (68), Mi Hyang Lee (67) and Nasa Hataoka (69).
Overnight leader Ayaka Furue of Japan had a disappointing round of 3-over Sunday as she slipped to a tie for eighth at 7-under 288 in the 66-player, no-cut tournament.
Also tied for eighth was two-time defending champion Jin Young Ko (71) and Patty Tavatanakit (67), who won last week’s LPGA event in Thailand .
Lydia Ko, who has 20 career wins, including two majors, shot 72 for a total of 1-over 289 and finished in a tie for 34th.
Two-time major winner Lilia Vu, who was tied for second after the first round, withdrew during the final round due to illness.
The tournament is the second of three straight weeks in Asia for the LPGA Tour. Next week the tour moves to China and the Blue Bay event on Hainan Island before heading back across the Pacific and to Palos Verdes, California for its next tournament beginning March 21.
