Exploring Switzerland has never been easier! For foreign guests, the all-in-one ticket Swiss Travel Pass is the key to Switzerland’s public transport network.

This single ticket enables visitors to explore Switzerland from end to end by train, bus and boat on 3, 4, 6, 8 or 15 consecutive days. With the Swiss Travel Pass Youth, young people up to their 25th birthday travelling through Switzerland benefit from a 30% discount off the regular Swiss Travel Pass ticket fare.

• Unlimited travel by train, bus and boat.  View area of validity
• Unlimited travel on premium panoramic trains (seat reservation fees and/or surcharges apply).
• Unlimited use of public transport in more than 90 towns and cities.
• Free admission to more than  500 museums .
• Mountain excursions included:  Rigi ,  Stanserhorn  and  Stoos
• Up to 50% discount on many other mountain excursions.
• Up to 30% discount on SBB RailAway offers. Available at all ticket counters within Switzerland.
• Children from their 6th up to their 16th birthday accompanied by at least one parent (holding a Swiss Travel System ticket) travel free of charge with the complimentary  Swiss Family Card .

Information

• A seat reservation and/or supplement is required to travel on some trains/buses/boats such as Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Gotthard Panorama Express and Palm Express.
• Swiss Travel System tickets are available to persons with residence outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein
• In Switzerland, fares apply in Swiss Francs as detailed in the chart (in case of cash payment in EUR, USD or GBP: current exchange rates apply)

Travel Karte beantragen

ZVV yearly and monthly travelcards are available on the SwissPass. The SwissPass replaces the former ZVV NetworkPass cards and can also be linked with the ZVV app.

One card for everything: the SwissPass is the chip card for public transport in Switzerland. In addition to public transport passes, other mobility and leisure services can also be loaded on the chip card.

Within the ZVV network, the following travelcards are available on the SwissPass:

• NetworkPass (personal annual and monthly travelcards)
• 9 o’clock Pass (personal annual and monthly travelcards)
• Z-Pass (personal annual and monthly travelcards)

Sales channels

Travelcards can be purchased or renewed through all sales channels. The easiest and fastest way is directly through the  ZVV app  or the  ZVV ticket shop . With the app you enjoy the advantage of being able to show your travelcard directly in the app with ‘SwissPass Mobile’. The app also allows travelcards that were not bought through the ZVV app to be linked.

Other offerings

Until further notice, the following articles are not yet available on the SwissPass: transferable yearly and monthly travelcards, the dog travelcard, single tickets, multiple-journey tickets and day passes as well as other special products.

Transferable monthly travelcards can be issued on paper at ZVV and SBB ticket machines.

Who is eligible for the Prepaid offer?

All customers can order a Prepaid SIM, regardless of the country. You need an official ID/passport to register.

How do I buy the Prepaid offer?

You can buy the prepaid offer online here or in all Sunrise shops and partners in Switzerland. We accept credit cards.

What's included in the Europe 7/30 Days Prepaid offer?

Unlimited mobile data in Switzerland and Europe in 46 countries The Europe 7/30 Days package must be activated within 365 days of purchase. The activation takes place with the first use of the package. If the package is activated, it's valid for seven or 30 days, depending on the package.

How long is the Prepaid credit balance valid?

The Prepaid SIM is deleted after 17 months of non-use, and the remaining Prepaid credit is then irretrievably deleted. We inform our customers by e-mail and SMS before deletion.

Can I top up the credit balance?

Yes, we recommend topping up here or through the Sunrise Cockpit .

Is there a limit on data usage?

It always depends on what the package includes. There's also a fair usage policy that applies to data. Once you reach the fair usage limit, your data speed may be reduced.

Can I use the Sunrise Prepaid offer for international calls?

Yes, all services can be used with Sunrise Prepaid. The prices can be found in the appropriate Prepaid tariff.

Where can I see the Prepaid credit?

Simply dial *121# and press the call button.

Can I return a Sunrise Prepaid or Europe package if I no longer need it?

No, that's not possible. If Sunrise Prepaid isn't used for 17 months, it will be automatically deleted.

What does the prepaid SIM card for tourists include?

Our offer is designed especially for tourists. 7 days of unlimited calls and surfing throughout Switzerland for just CHF 20.–. There will be no additional usage costs within Switzerland throughout this period.

If you also want to make calls or surf while travelling outside of Switzerland, you can find more tariffs in our subscription details. 

What if I am in Switzerland for more than 7 days?

If your stay in Switzerland is for more than 7 days, you can easily add a new package after the first prepaid 7-day flat rate has expired. Renewing the package again costs CHF 20.–. You will then have a further 7 days of unlimited calls and surfing. Besides the 7-day package, 30-day and 90-day packages for CHF 65.– and CHF 150.– respectively are also available

If you choose not to renew the package, the prepaid basic rate will apply to all further calls and data usage within Switzerland. The only prerequisite for this is a sufficient credit balance from which the charges can be deducted. Prepaid basic tariff:

• Calls 0.29/min.
• SMS 0.15/SMS
• Surfing 2.−/day

Can I sign up before my trip?

Yes, you can sign up to the offer before you arrive. The 7 days will only start once you have arrived in Switzerland and you use the prepaid card for the first time. You can therefore sign up to the offer at any time prior to your trip without incurring any costs.  When you enter Switzerland, your prepaid card will activate automatically and you can start using it right away.

Should I use an eSIM or a regular SIM card?

If your device supports eSIM, you don’t need a physical point of sale, you can do everything online. The eSIM is installed in your device already and will be ready for use immediately following your order. To activate the eSIM, scan your personal QR code and, in just a few clicks, your eSIM will be activated.

If you require a physical SIM card, you will need to visit a Swisscom Shop or easy Point (kiosk, Press&Book or Avec) to collect the SIM card. Once you’ve inserted it into the SIM slot, your device will be ready to use.

What do I have to consider if my device does not support eSIM?

You can take advantage of the offer with either an eSIM or a regular SIM card. If your device is not compatible with eSIM, you will need a regular SIM card. You can pick these up at any Swisscom Shop. If you don’t have a Swisscom Shop nearby, you can select a local easy Point (Kiosk, Press&Book or Avec) during the online order process, where you can then pick up your SIM card.

I would prefer not to sign up online. Where can I find physical outlets?

You can sign up to the Flat 7 prepaid offering at any Swisscom Shop. Please follow this link for the Shop locations:  Swisscom Shops

Can I use my own phone number or will I get a new one?

The Prepaid Flat 7 offer runs on the Swisscom network. To use it, you need to take out a new SIM profile (eSIM or physical SIM card), which means you will be assigned a Swisscom phone number.

Data usage is via the new Swisscom number, but you can use Whatsapp with your own number, for example. The new Swisscom number is used for making calls and writing SMS. The offer cannot be applied to an existing number. This is only possible if you already have a prepaid from Swisscom that is still active. In this case, the offer can be connected directly via Cockpit.

How can I check my credit?

You can check your current credit balance directly via your mobile phone in the cockpit or by message.

You can view your credit balance at   cockpit.swisscom.ch . You can access the cockpit for free worldwide, even if you have no credit left

Send an SMS to 444 with the message STATUS. You will then receive a message showing your current balance.

How can I top up my credit?

In the Cockpit

Go to the  Swisscom Cockpit . Enter the amount you wish to top up and select a regular credit card as the payment method. You can access cockpit.swisscom.ch for free worldwide, even if you have no credit left. 

By Voucher / Value PIN

Buy a prepaid voucher at a point of sale and redeem it as follows. On your phone’s numeric keypad, enter *123*14-digit_Value_PIN# call button. The credit purchased on the voucher will then be loaded into your account.   

Vouchers are available at various points of sale, including kiosks, petrol stations, Migros, Coop, Denner etc. 

What will happen to my remaining balance after my stay?

If the SIM card is not used for 12 months, the remaining credit lapses and the number reverts to Swisscom. The following are all deemed use of the SIM card: outgoing calls, sending text messages, sending and receiving MMS messages and any use of mobile data communication.

Politeness and respect for others are very important in Swiss culture. It is customary to say please and thank you and to be polite to one another.

In Switzerland, there is no obligation for guests to tip. However, in many restaurants it is appreciated to pay about 10 per cent of the bill as a tip or to round it up to a round amount.

Noise pollution

People in Switzerland are very considerate of others, so take care to keep noise levels down and avoid disturbing others.
