Frequently asked questions, and need-to-know information, how many people can we have on the boat.

We allow a maximum of 10 people on the Sea Ray and Cobalt, and 12 on the Pontoon (plus our Captain). This is determined by the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the NY State Parks and Recreation Department. It is based on the weight of the passengers so if there are several children we could possibly increase that number.

Where is Lake George Boat Charters located?

Lake George Boat Charters is located at Brodie's Lakeside Marina and Lodging, centrally located between Lake George village and Bolton Landing. We are located 4 miles north of Lake George Village on Lakeshore Drive (Route 9N) and 5 miles south of Bolton Landing. Our address is 3686 Lake Shore Drive, Lake George, NY 12845.

Do we pay for gas?

No, gas is included in the price of the charter.

Are there any other charges I should be aware of?

The only required additional cost is NYS sales tax! The other additional charges that you "could" incur is a tube rental, and, at your discretion, tipping our Captain's.

Are there restaurants or islands that can be accessed by the water?

Yes, our Captains are very familiar with the lake and will recommend the places to go. There are several restaurants and islands to visit during your excursion. Please call for more information.

Can we make reservations ahead of time?

Yes. In fact, it is required. You can either book through our secure online booking platform or call us directly at 855-525-2628, and we can take the reservation over the phone. Whichever you are more comfortable with is fine with us!

What should we bring with us?

We provide all safety equipment, including lifejackets. We recommend you bring a cooler with food, drinks, sunscreen and towels.

Are pets allowed?

No, unfortunately we do not allow pets on our Charter Boats. We do however allow them on our rental boats at both Brodie's Lakeside and Little Harbor Boat Company .

Will this be a private charter?

Yes. If you reserve the boat for the designated time, it will be only your group on the boat with our Captain. You can Choose Your Adventure from there!!!

What methods of payment do you accept?

For reservations on our online secure booking platform we offer all credit cards. The balance, due at time of charter, you have the option of either paying by credit card or cash.

What is the inclement weather policy?

What is your cancellation policy, what if you're sold out.

Are life jackets supplied with your boat rentals?

Yes, we supply the life jackets with our boat rentals.

Do your boats have coolers on them?

No, you need to bring your own cooler.

4th of july/ thursday night fireworks.

Watch the 4th of July fireworks aboard Sunset Boat Charters 24ft Godfrey Aqua Patio premier pontoon boat. You will depart around 8 pm and take a short ride along the shoreline. You will learn the lake history and get into the 4th of July spirit. We will then park close to Shepards park to watch the fireworks display from the water. Please note: you may get wet on this ride and it is a night time ride.... Bugs could be biting.

For the bride who wants to arrive in style arrangements can be made to pick up the bride at a prearranged location and bring the bride to the wedding ceremony. We also work closely with bride and grooms who want to arrive at resort by boat. Call for additional info.

Fall Foliage

This is commonly during the month of September, and somewhat chilly although the scenery can be breath taking. From the lake you will see the unique features of the Adirondacks with all the colors nature has to offer.

All boats are fully equipped with all necessary safety equipment rope, anchor, ladder, cooler and map.

• Our boat can hold 10 to 12 passengers very comfortably.
• Life jackets provided.
• We do have a Bimini cover that keeps passengers sheltered from rain and the hot sun.
• We can provide binoculars for nature watching.
• We have radio, CD player and and hook-up for your ipod to play your favorite songs.
• At least 50% deposit required before the start of the trip for groups of three or larger.
• NO PETS ALLOWED. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome. Please notify the captain ahead of time that a service animal will be on board and please present proper certifications at the time of boarding.
• Cancellation policy: you will be refunded 100% of the deposit if we are contacted 24 hours in advance of scheduled tour or the cancellation is weather related.

Additional human remains, thought to be Sade Robinson, found near Lake Michigan

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said it is investigating another discovery of human remains. MCSO said they are believed to be Sade Robinson’s.

The remains, a torso and an arm, were found at 7:37 a.m. Thursday by a civilian walking along the beach. They were found near 3305 Marina Road, along a “remote, stretch of tree-lined beach along Lake Michigan.” The remains were located about a quarter mile from an apartment complex and MCSO said they likely washed ashore from the lake.

Maxwell Anderson has been charged with killing and dismembering 19-year-old Robinson , according to a criminal complaint. 

“Our thoughts and prayers and the full support of this agency remain with Robinson’s family and loved ones, as they grieve and process her tragic loss,” MCSO said in a statement.

MCSO, the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) and over a dozen state agencies, federal agencies, a volunteer organization and forensic expert are investigating Robinson’s death. The investigation began when a severed human leg was discovered in Warnimont Park on April 2. The leg has been confirmed to be Robinson’s.

In the criminal complaint, officials said that due to the “circumstances surrounding disappearance of Robinson” and “the recovery of the human leg that was preliminarily identified as Robinson’s,” they have “concluded” that she is dead.

Additional human remains have been found throughout the Milwaukee area. MCSO and MPD said they believe they are Robinson’s remains, but that has yet to be confirmed.

On Friday, a sonar detection boat will search Lake Michigan for additional remains and evidence.
